Yes, I am buying up a few Zirkcoins.

I am not going to host zirkcoin.org and support Zirkcoin without buying some myself, it makes anything I do personal then so I work and try harder with this coin.

I can see so much potential in this coin and I will be very surprised if the Dev or Dev's of this coin and vanished.

Maybe he doesn't have the knowledge? Even if he isn't the dev and he support this coin and hosts a website but he has the knowledge, then he would fix the wallet

Trust me, he's not. The wallet would have been fixed already.

Maybe he doesn't have the knowledge? Even if he isn't the dev and he support this coin and hosts a website but he has the knowledge, then he would fix the wallet

I'm not going to just go ahead and start changing wallet code and fork the Github from a Developer who has not posted for 4 to 5 days but did make a github change 4 days ago?

I am not here to step on any Developers toes, whatever plans they have, I am here to support the coin, not suddenly take control of it.

I registered Zirkcoin.org, as zirkcoin.com was one second up and running then down, then back up, so I felt having a website that was up all the time would help, as I had 8000 ZIRK at the time so it was in my best interest and it was not fair on the community who had investing mining time and their Bitcoins, to end up with a zirkcoin.com domain that was hardly ever online.

Now the explorer.zirkcoin.com has gone down??

It makes no sense for the developer to have gone already even if his plan was a pump and dump. This coin has just got itself onto three exchanges, has a lot of support and I have seen no real pump at all.

The Dev will make more of a loss with the domain cost of zirkcoin.com.

The coin I released and have continued to support since day one is Extremecoin, there is no way I could take this coin on "full time" aswell but I can add / change links on the zirkcon.org domain and fork the Github IF and when that time comes and the Dev or Dev's are not back say in a weeks time.

And as for fixing this wallet?

I probably could but I did not Develop or even clone it so I would have to go through the source code and start from stratch.

As with the Extremecoin client, from a development end, I believe in a simple wallet payment client, as less can go wrong but this one has all kinds of functions coded into it, some of which IMHO is not really needed like chat function. It didn't work for Rucoin and it probably will not help this client either in the long term.

This is probably a case of a badly forked clone from Shadowcoin but using dependencies that don't work properly with it or something along those lines?

Why can't some Developers just stick around anymore?

They will make more profit (if that's all they want) by releasing a supporting a long term Crypto-Currency and not release and then vanish in a matter of weeks.

The edit was 8 days ago @ github. The only thing that was edited was the version number. (No other coding)
I think the dev doesn't have the knowledge to fix the wallet problem and that's the reason he left. Why else would you spend money on domains etc. and leave? last time he was online is a week ago

A few things don't to make much logical sense Development wise with how the launch went and how things are now.

Why did the Dev clone a coin that he didn't have the knowledge of to be able to fix any problems along the way? Why not clone a more simple client but still have the POS code that the Developer wanted?

The cache of zirkcoin.com shows a website with a least a competent understanding of Wordpress themes but never kept the domain online long enough for hardly anyone to see it; this makes no sense as the Dev must have bought the domain so down a little money there.

The strangest thing of all is that even with the Windows wallet still not working properly for many users, is how did that Dev or Dev's manage to get Zirkcoin onto three exchanges so quickly? Not just quickly but borderline instantly.

It either takes quiet a bit of possible Bitcoin bounty action to get a coin on exchanges so fast or for a coin to be publicly released by a major Crypto Dev but this coin was released from a new forum account so if lots of Bitcoins were paid to exchanges, then that makes disappearing all the more bewildering.

Maybe this should be called Mysterycoin instead of Zirkcoin.

Either way, there is a bit of volume on the exchanges but someone or the community as a whole is probably going to have to decide in which direction do we try and fix the windows client to start with and then work out some kind of at least a one to two year future development plan.

What are everyone's thoughts?

I still think IMHO that the Dev's or "Creators" are still around, silent, watching and waiting maybe?

If this is true (and I already expressed my doubts), it would be foul play and there is no need to support such "projects". I don't believe that issue with wallet has forced the dev to disappear. He may have some personal problems as well. This is not the case though. Let's say that the dev is back (and he had no personal problems). What happens next? We are going to bet on when he will be gone again? This is not serious and people imo should move on.

First of all we need someone to fix the wallet. I can't.

I'm willing to remove my wall at bittrex is this wallet gets fixed. I want to go up, but ofc only if wallet gets .

You got that wall on there instead of staking it?

A good idea though, will stop a potential pump, dump and run leaving it there for the short term until the Wallet is fixed.

I will download the Source Code and have a look through it and download the source code of the coin it was directly cloned from, shadowcoin in this case if I am right?

I might compile a Linux version and see if that works fine, if it does then maybe its Windows dependency issue with how the Dev compiled the client?
