We’d like to announce Amaranth, a decentralized business entity.

Amaranth aims to provide services that will add extra value by being not controllable by a single entity (including political ones). We won’t write too many words, let’s jump straight to TL;DR version.

Amaranth won’t be tied to a particular cryptocurrency, it will work with anything that controllers (called amaranths) want to use. Every action will be done only if more than half of the voices approve it. One entity can own more than one voice but a special procedure will be done during the bootstrapping to make it infeasible to get control over many voices.

The voices can be sold or transferred. They grant the privilege of voting and the obligation of paying the expenses. And of course, they give the right of taking a part of the profit.

Amaranth will have its own blockchain for synchronization but data older than one week will be deleted. A special token will be used on the blockchain as a mean of payment for services provided by Amaranth. Every amaranth will be “earning” the tokens proportionally to controlled voices, everyone will be able to sell these tokens at any price they want, this should keep the price at a level set by free market.

Voices will be acquired by transferring bitcoins to a special address. Being a one of the countermeasures against sockpuppets these bitcoins will also be used to fund development of software required for normal operation of Amaranth.

The first phase of the entity bootstrapping is registration of potential amaranths. To take part in this phase you must send any amount (1 satoshi is enough) to 1P8Y3sqK5ujku9KgticEc7ozHFQTRaLFrN. Next phases will require to prove ownership of the private keys of the sending address, so make sure that you use wallet software that allows to explicitly choose an address. The first phase begins right now.

Feel free to ask questions if you have any.

P.S.  I’m a veteran member of this forum. I have to use this brand new account to remain anonymous but later I may reveal my identity.

Edit: Since a lot of people are confused by what is being requested here we need to clarify. We are not asking anyone to trust us with a single cent. We need people to be able to confirm their bitcoin adresses for the next step, so you need to send a total of 1 Satoshi, which is $0.000002 to participate in the next stage. We're not asking anyone to trust us with money.

Why wtf, any questions?

Later is simply added because the only thing that matters at this moment is the Amaranth project. My identity is not really important, the PS is just added to let people know that this project isn't appearing out of nowhere.

It's not hiding, Amaranth is a decentralized project and so that is focus of this thread. But opinion noted:)

Question.

1. Why should we believe you?
2. The idea of keeping only 1 week data on block chain doesn't impress me.
3. Who will decide Amarnath token value and how? And who will buy them?
4. Why are you asking Bitcoin donations prior; when you haven't supplied any kind of proof of work that has been developed or on paper?
5. What do you mean by The voices can be sold or transferred?

My advice to you is don't stay anonymous. You will have to keep your identity transparent, so we know whom we are dealing with and what part of world you belong to?

We're not asking for donations yet. We are simply gauging interest. All that is needed is to send 1 Satoshi and wait for the result until you decide if you want to get involved or not.

3. Who will decide Amarnath token value and how? And who will buy them?

Amaranth is decentralized and so amaranths will decide themselves, those who want to use the services will buy the tokens.

Exactly what it says; voices can be sold or transferred

Thanks for the advice, but we have decided that this project is going to evolve naturally on it's own for now.

Yes. We're asking people to send $0.000002 to prove their interest because confirming peoples adresses will be crucial in the next step. How anyone can see this request as somehow shady is weird.

It is 100% serious. Please tell me why you would think it's a joke?
