UK residents, we want to know what you think about the Government's proposed plans

We are running a  very short survey here: http://www.miningpool.co.uk/uk-bitcoin-survey/

I can't believe Bitstamp - as a UK-registered company - didn't respond to the call for information.

One of crypto's greatest merits is it's propensity to make middlemen (whose sole purpose is to take a cut while providing no tangible productivity) pointless and unnecessary.  There doesn't seem much point in explaining it to politicians, who are the epitome of pointless and unnecessary middlemen.  Once we've finished decentralising money and making banks obsolete, elected representatives are next for the scrapheap.

Bitstamp is different in that it's dealing with Bitcoin and government money.

By the way: Bitcoin is getting bigger, because we have middlemen like Coinbase, Circle, Xapo, etc. making it user-friendly.

I'm going to have to read through all this before I can even begin speculating on what they've got planned nevermind give my opinion, you'll have to bear with me if they're bringing in new legislation.
