You can find a lot of this kind of service on digital good section, it probably works as if you want to end up with Amazon in blacklist.

I am not sure. People who are buying Amazon items as I can tell so far are legit. At least in case of amazon4u I've seen people using his services and no one complained. So I guess he can be considered 'safe' bet in you need to purchase something from Amazon. Unlike Purse services.

Some are offering discount service with some kind of gift cards which could be from black market, it's not legal to use these cards.

It's a leveling and trust system similar to any other service which requires continued use.  Think of it like Coinbase, when you have to reach different levels or tiers, before you can unlock larger daily spending amounts.

For Purse, you start out at 8 %, shortly after your discounts will increase and increase over time.

It's to deter the "hit it and quit it" types and potential scammers, that'll use it once and leave.

Actually, this restriction has been lifted a few weeks ago. You can now spend bitcoin on Amazon with a discount of 50% !
The fees are pretty staggering especially if you're ordering with a large discount and shipping to countries who are not applicable for Free Shipping.

All in all you're getting your 50% discount on the Item you want that's excluding the fees. With the fees you'll probably get round about 20%-25% off.

My experience of Purse.io is that the Bitcoin buyers are scammers (3 purchases 1 scam) and that the customer services won't be helpful to look out for you if you are in a bad situation due to scammers on their site.

How did you got scammed actually? Do they provide escrow? Were you a buyer (exchanged your BTC for amazon stuff)?

I ordered something, paid with Bitcoin, the buyer bought it and it was delivered, but then they claimed it hadn't been delivered and got a refund leaving the company out of pocket.
The company then got in touch with me to say that they will have to contact the authorities as I haven't paid for the item that arrived.  Purse say that I shouldn't worry though, so it's ok.  I'll say tell that to the judge when I'm in court.

So you didn't get scammed, the company did.

I'd also say you got nothing to worry about, just tell them the whole story. They fucked up by giving the guy a refund. Why would they do that if the item has been delivered at the address provided by buyer and I assume it was signed for upon delivery.

They won't start any legal action (unless it's a small seller and it was high purchase), although they should, but they should be chasing the scammer not yourself.

The company got scammed, but they have proof that they delivered a product to you that you didn't pay for, so they will go after you.

They don't have a case. For fuck sake, don't pay them anything. You did nothing wrong.

There's plenty of shady companies trying to play on peoples fear of courts. There's nothing to fear. No company will start legal action for 140€. They just trying to trick you to get the money back (sensing you're scared etc). The other guy is probably non-responsive so they know they won't get any money from him.

In some jurisdictions you could actually sue them for what they're trying to do.

Again, they did the refund. If it was automatic, they agreed to Amazon terms.

I honestly don't know what kind of support purse.io could provide you in this case.

Anyone can threat you with court for any reason, it doesn't cost anything.

And why do you people are so afraid of courts? It's not like you have to hire a lawyer for a simple cases. Going to court doesn't mean you're criminal, it could simply mean that 2 parties have a dispute and are not willing or unable to resolve it between themselves.

Guarantee amazon blocks this is no time because it's just a way for people to scam.

How could amazon block this? And why? The orders places through purse are working in accordance to amazon's terms. It's perfectly fine for someone to buy an item for someone else through an amazon wishlist. That's why wishlists exist in the first place.

I'm not sure what amazon will/can do against you, but stuff like this is why using purse is a bad idea, in my opinion. It doesn't make to pay that markup for coins, so there are going to be lots of fraudulent transactions. If there is a fraudulent transaction, amazon has your address and you have their product, and fake information from the carder. Who knows what amazon can do to you, but they can't do much to the other person involved because they used fake info.

Saving a percentage sounds nice and all, but to me it adds unneeded risk. I have been using gyft to buy Amazon for a while and it works great and little no risk. I read that article where a guy was paid a visit by a LEO for using a carded purchase from purse. I just imagine many scammers use that service for coins.
