New rank?

As time goes on new ranks will likely be added as and when needed. There's not that many Legendary accounts at the moment but in a year or so it'll likely be a different story so I'm sure a higher rank will be added then (or the activity limit to become Legebdary could be raised).

Well the would be okay if we weren't getting a expensive forum. Adding ranks to this one would be okay, just as it was when Legendary was introduced. A revamp of the whole feature would be great, since the one that we have here is pretty much boring (the stars..).

I know we have already discussed about the rank's color and I think it will be easy to add this option. Each rank has an own color, for example :

Hero
Legendary
Staff

Or something like that, so the write under the username will be of that color and it can also protect "against" the fake users (that are trying to scam).

Being able to differentiate between ranks and/or staff by colours or something else wouldn't be a bad idea. As far it being too colourful or flashy I don't think it'd be any more intrusive that signatures or avatars.

Maybe the staff can choose another scheme of colors, my previous posts was only an "idea" but the colors can easily change.

Yes of course, the colorful ranks will not be more intrusive than the various signatures or "avatar" so I think it would be a very great choice.

Well honestly it is, if you have VGA resolution (640x480).  The ranks on my FHD and QHD are so tiny that it would barely make a difference if the colors get changed. I mean that wouldn't hurt, but the right colors have to be picked out. Something random won't work, it would actually make things worse.
Maybe even replace those golden tokens under the ranks with something else?

i like it, the more rank the more fun, it should be at 2k points and should be called God/Eternal(if god is not allowed)

newbie/junior member/member/fullmember/senior member/hero member/legendary/god or eternal

For ex: 1 post in gambling should nt be equal to some post in discussions topic. Maybe,  also like system can affect activity more than regular posts.

Anyway,  my rank name suggestions are Students of Satoshi (SoS) , or Sub-Satoshi

Posts in all boards should be treated equally for activity/posts.

Sub-satoshi isn't good and it may confuse others. -1.

There's really no need to complicate the activity system even more. Many people already don't understand it and this would just confuse people and flood Meta with even more questions asking how activity works.

IMO adding a new rank above legendary would be pointless. reaching 2000 activity will take a long, long, long time. and legendary members are scarce in the first place.

After a while they will become more common though and eventually everyone who is active will likely become Legendary so new ranks should be added over time.

Can I suggest an opposite thing (related with the ranks). Why not decrease the activity when an user been banned (for spam reason) this should improve the quality of all the posts and I am sure the users will put more attention in what they write here (in the forum). That was just my personal opinion and I don't think it is necessary to add a new rank, but I am still supporting the color for each rank.

It should be good idea. What if the ban was for PM spam? Does this still apply or only for "substantial posts"?

P.S. Admins should tell about this in the ban notice or else, we will have to see many threads in Meta.
