Trying to sleep, but my head is full of possible strategies and business ideas. Maybe tomorrow it is too late and I find out that somebody else starts a company which will be the next eBay or Amazon in a few years. Damn. Of course you already read this: Garyet is among the believers. He says he thinks Bitcoins is going to be huge. In fact, his perspective is that right now Bitcoins are where the Internet was in 1995 -- when web browsers improved and multiplied and the number of internet users doubled in a year from about 20 million to 40 million on its way to more than 2 billion today. http://swmichigan.secondwavemedia.com/features/bitcoin0802.aspx I am just about to find ways in startup financing. Could somebody provide a good story of somebody who started a healthy business via GLBSE or cryptostocks or equal?

If you manage to offer a good new service or come up with a good product related to bitcoiners in a way or another, be sure you will be on business in no time. The point is to think how bitcoiners can benefit the most out of your new business.

Sure there is GLBSE or the crazy rate lending forum, but you can always take on an investor or two. If you have an idea or two, feel free to hit me up if your interested.

I know eleuthria was at one point working on a BTC financing processor backend (like PayPal is for Fiat Currencies) but i dunno how far he got with that.

Thinking long-term about life changing businesses: - 1960 Computer
- 1994 Internet
- 2001 Big Data
- 2015 new money system (Bitcoins)
- 2020 Robotics (Artificial Intelligence)
- 2025-30 Solar system wide mining:) i.e.: commodity harvesting on asteroids and other planets, water, metal. We might get the necessary chemistry to build our quantum computers outer space and create a basis for wealth to every citizen of planet earth.
(the dates here are not there inception date but their time of commercialisation) Right now, I am convinced that some real political work should be done. Lobbying in to politics doesn't need an oil company budget, but good contacts. Why not open a "Bitcoin Liaisons Office" in Berlin? Just like Mozilla http://www.h-online.com/open/news/item/Mozilla-expands-in-Berlin-and-US-1659629.html. For now I am investing in Bitcoin its self. Collecting information and ideas and as soon I connect the right dots, I'll let it boom. The last time I felt that exited about a new business, was with my very first venture on web design, just right out of school. I failed like a champ Now you know I am optimistic and a bit idealistic

I encourage your enthusiasm, OP! I was the same way when I discovered Bitcoin over a year ago. Now, it's my full time job, my hobby, my political activism, and by far the most important work I've done in my life.
When you see something good, seize it.

It looks like it's still the Wild West. A lot of people here have 2+ years experience. Us newbies need more experience! Trying to watch and learn

My advice for a business would be to transcend the bitcoin aspects of the business. It has to be a fundamentally good idea to do well, not just a weak website that accepts bitcoin for junk you could buy cheaper in dollars. I would also look into automated systems. Businesses like say a VPN service or cloud hosting require little help from you once set up. Bitcoin lends itself well to automation and you can build a money machine if your lucky.

Absolutely! But I don't care about web services. I consider this (vpn, hosting, etc) mostly covered by established players. And I would be afraid that some Russians would come after me, if I'd offer better socks What will ordinary people need to do their daily stuff in the near future? Will people want a currency backed by gold, etc? Of course we need more retailers accepting BTC, but when I look at the Mt Gox live ticker bling bling, I don't see this happening soon. We keep trading^^ I try to figure out what I would say if I meet Wolfgang Schäuble.

But consider this: Schäuble has a very bad memory when it comes to money
