Can a masternode stake?
no, if the masternode collateral address's single 500 coin input gets broken up into more than 1 input by staking, it can't act as a masternode. this is why masternode configs set a reserve balance (those wont stake) and staking=0 as double protection  also you cant game the system by turning off your masternode and staking then forwarding the coins back to a fresh single 500 coin input because the time to maturity for staked coins is prohibitively long. |
