http://www.ehow.com/how_5592965_block-website-google-chrome.html - chrome guide
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/blocksite/ - addon, easy to use

For Safari Opera etc you know how to google it.
Pretty basic, don't gamble your life away - sorry gambling sites but in the end you are evil.

good! A good method to get rid of the addiction to gambling if you cant refrain from touching it. But the problem is you still can uninstall these add-on to open the blocked website.

If you have gambling problems you can ask for every site to ban you usually there is a period of ban 6 months, 12 months but you can ask to ban you forever also. This is the right when you have gambling issues and you cant control your self also a medical advice it will be necessary to help you with your problem. It is not so bad some times to face the truth if you are really addict with it.If you are not then no problem at all. Cool

Edit:This method you are suggesting is very good also but it can be revised so it in my opinion is mostly for those which are not having gambling problems or at least addict ones.  Smiley

Aye, but during those seconds maybe you come to your senses. You can block it in several places as well, the router for instance to make it a little harder - but if you lose control then yes its unlocked.

Kind Regards,
BTC-Bank.

Yes when i was younger i had a bit of a problem with gambling my poker winnings and in the end if the site would not ban side games i would not play there and create the amount of rake i did each week they soon blocked them, then i started playing the machines after withdrawing the money in cash from my local bookies and lost some money which made me angry with 'myself'.

I then self excluded myself from there for like the above says but mine was 18months. My point is if a gambler wants to gamble he will and if you are in charge of that blocking feature forget it Sad

I had to quit poker and stayed away from all gambling for over 3 years i still play now and again but i have fun and i have never gambled what i can't afford to lose since.

It is a hard life to lead good luck anyone trying to get out.

And this is the right path to know what to do congratulation for you i dont have any problem with gambling i play for fun like you and as you very wise said nothing more than i can afford to loose. But i can understand people with gambling problems special young ones because gambling appears to some people as a way to be rich quick. The mainly thing that all must do is to control their own self.

I agree it is very hard for some people and wish good luck too for everyone.

Credits, I wish to be at that point once in my life with my addiction. It's strong to say no even though the whole body is aching for the tables. Any addiction is a bitch, gambling has the most suicides!

Yes you are right sadly, suicides, games on a desperate person's mind which have loose his control and faith. It really make me sad to see people with those types of addictions (the ones without offering anything good) which may have bad ends. All this is only in our mind my friend you have just to take the right decision gambling doesnt offer anything on an addictive person only disaster and sadness this is one reason that we have to say stop if we are looking for the good of us.I hope that you pass it if you have gambling problems.

Just want to state that if you do decide to go this route, you should not mention you have any type of gambling problem. Unless you want to possibly be blocked forever. Just say you need to focus on other stuff or you won't be playing for awhile and don't want the potential of someone playing on it. The other issue you need to make sure of is if the site has any administrative fee for dormant accounts.

Aye, but during those seconds maybe you come to your senses. You can block it in several places as well, the router for instance to make it a little harder - but if you lose control then yes its unlocked.

You could also press random buttons on the keyboard, or, ask someone trusted to make a password for you, so that way you don't know the password, so you can't unblock it.

Make sure you withdraw before you block  Grin
I would never block any sites for any reason because I like to chat there and I don't really have an addiction, if I lose I don't go all in, or keep going until I win, you just lose more money that way.

I understand your point @jmurjeff you are very right for the reasons you are referring but not to an addictive one then is like you are lying to your self when someone is addictive it is not just to hold until he fall again this is one reason when someone that is addictive must admit that is and let know the people who love him around him and the gambling company so can really help him.The point of your post is right and i agree with it for the people which have more fan there and which may take some more time on gambling and need really to focus. Those fees you are referring is very good solution in my opinion and if there be really big it will work even better.

While this may help stop a person temporarily but if someone really has a Gambling addiction, this won't be able to stop them when they have that desperate feeling to gamble, they'd find a way to get to the site.

If someone really thinks that they have developed an addiction, the best thing to do is firstly tell their close ones and go meet a shrink.

Hey thanks dude,

Yes i agree totally there was a couple of times when i truly hated myself which was not me, without being big headed i loved myself and my life but that changes your mind frame as you probably know.

I also had a weed addiction and a few others so one of the first steps was beating them which was hard but i done it and then the strange thing gambling become something i could control and hardly thought about, i had broke the habbits that led to gambling in the first place, weed and poker with to much of i want it now attitude blinded by smoke.

Plus i grew up and wanted a proper family, guess what i now have a wife and a beautiful little girl  Smiley

Good luck and if you ever need to talk you have my pm i will be more than happy to give advice to anyone that needs it here.

That is the point you lose all faith in everything including yourself when you are in the midst so that is where it hooks on and it has you until you do have faith and change simple little things in life, i am not talking the gambling that is one of the last things you need to change if you truly have an addiction/problem. You need to find the real you deep inside which is crying for you to stop that real you is wise beyond imagination but when you have any addictions you cloud the judgement of him//her.

Like i said anyone needs a friendly chat in private i will always be here threw pm i know how hard it can be but you can beat it i promise.

Good luck guys

Delete your borwser history or autopredictions, sometimes I am going to a site starting with L and it autofills to luckyb.it and I end up chatting there, and then I end up playing there and usually losing.

It won't help if you really have an addiction. If you ever got drunk, woke up the next day and told yourself you won't drink again you'll know what I'm talking about.
A real gambling addict if you block his PC will go to a friend or to an internet cafe to play.

You gotta teach yourself, not manually put in blocks. If you want to gamble you WILL gamble.
What helped me was put all my funds in a xapo vault, takes at least 24 hours to get out, and this puts me off wanting to gamble because ill have to wait days. If I have funds in my blockchain wallet however, its super easy to get the urge
