fee's are not the problem, after all on most days there is a difference of more than 3% between exchanges.

for instance right now
BTC-e        253.00 USD
OKCoin.com    254.17 USD
Bitfinex            255.80 USD
Bitstamp        256.33 USD
LocalBitcoins    290.31 USD

so if you bought off localbitcoins.com you would complain that there was a 12% fee compared to btc-e
so if you bought off bitstamp.com you would complain that there was a 1.3% fee compared to btc-e

and thats just treating the spot spread as a fee before you even include the actual service fee.

why is local bitcoins beyond expensive compared to other exchange rates? or are there traders setting up this fake price to sell over priced bitcoins. i wonder who would buy coins priced at $290 now. maybe newbies.

I'm not interested in hearing news about Paypal until I see a Bitcoin balance there, the CEO has proven himself to be completely full of shit.

Braintree + PayPal + Coinbase = No Privacy

These guys spit in the face of Satoshi and we rant and rave about them accepting Bitcoin... how weird is that?

The added transaction fees is the salt in the wounds.  Angry

i've seriously considered suicide or some sort of exile / monastic living in a remote corner of earth rather than continue to live in the capitalist industrial world ... i'm not kidding when i say i fucking hate living on this planet ... likely i'll eventually live in a remote off-grid cabin or a blue water sailboat to satisfy my demands for not being exploited in my daily life , producing all of my own electricity and food/water in either case ... i'd live on mars in a heartbeat ...

Guess what buttercup, life isn't all rainbows and puppies 100% of the time.  There's gonna be competition, there's gonna be challenges, there's gonna be people screwing others over to get ahead.  That's just how the world is and it ain't changing anytime soon.  No one likes fees but it's a (semi) free market, and a business must make profits to stay in existence.  Now... you can either be all bitter and wrapped up in self pity about it, or you can accept it, laugh at it, make the best of it, and choose to be happy.  I choose  the latter option.

Braintree/paypal with bitcoin is nothing new. It was announced last year, which was a lot more hyped up than now. Some people were glad to hear this, but there were many that did not support this integration.

they said they are waiting for more security option before accepting it, they are on track, adding 2fa will be the next step before accepting bitcoin as a payment

there was another thread talking about this
They have officially announced Bitcoin adoption, it's a matter of time, the question is when. It will only be huge once we see it on ebay tho. Most paypal transaction volume comes from ebay.com

Same. I don't know what they're playing at. They create cryptic adverts mentioning it but yet they haven't done anything to implement it. I'll believe it when I see it but until then I can't see it happening or not any time soon.

Any integration is good integration in my opinion but some people just really seem to hate PayPal.

1. This is not a PayPal.
2. Even if it would be a Paypal, do you think for real that it would be great news?
On Paypal account there is your name, address, even a home phone, which is not privacy at all.
Also, do you think that Paypal will not charge any fees on it?
I am not a hatter, just want some things straight and honestly I would not use my Bitcoins via Paypal (why would anyone?)

Also if paypal will be involved they will keep the amount for a short period and they guaranteed funds ''trade in safe environment by paypal'' Scammers will love it they will figure something for free coins! In my personal opinion if paypal start trades Bitcoin, is losing value it is like a regulation form on an unregulated system calling Bitcoin.

Kind Regards,
BTC-Bank.

well that at least will regulate more bitcoin, you lose anonymity but you gain regulation, and will be more easy to declare taxes

this could be interesting for people who don't trust Painpal (so, anyone with a working brain essentially) and does not want to be robbed by them  Smiley

IF, AND ONLY IF, this would permit operating a Painpal account without connecting a credit card or a bank account, because then you can deposit/withdraw directly into Bitcoin before/after every Painpal payment (such as a purchase on Ebay), and therefore never expose yourself to the risk of Painpal account freezing or reversal theft.

Now Painpal is stealing their customers funds all the time, it is part of their busienss model, so I doubt that they let you use a BTC only funding model.  Undecided

Just watch out. Paypal screwed a whole lot of eGold users way back in the beginning of the 2000s. If you do any Bitcoin business, and Paypal finds out, withdraw all but a minimum of funds out of Paypal. They can't be trusted. If they could, they would return the funds to their old list of eGold users, whose accounts they simply cancelled... so sad, too bad.
