Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Why in person, may I ask?

CA, AZ, and NV, that's a LARGE area; for a few hundred dollars worth of silver, driving such a long distance doesn't make sense economically. I think you'll be better off finding a reputable online retailer or visiting your local coin store...

i drive a lot sometimes for work

i'd rather support a bitcoiner and avoid shipping fees and tax

free shipping if the location were exactly on my route. if not, exchanging shipping charges/headache, wait time uncertaintly for a little gas cost

Any local pawn shop will be your cheapest option.  There is no tax on silver and they only accept cash.

Roughly where in Cali are you at?  I in SoCal closer to LA/OC border.  I have 5 uncirculated Silver 1oz coins (from 2002 I think).  I gotta crack open the vault to see what they really are - haven't looked at them since I bought them 10 years ago.
