https://localbitcoins.com/country/JP

You can use localbitcoins however the rate per btc is relatively higher. A lot higher in fact.
There's this https://www.kipochi.com/japan/bitcoin. I haven't seen anyone with problems so far.

There's also kraken.com. They're somewhat reputable and noteworthy.

You asked a bit strange question. What connects Kenya with Japan?
If you are from Japan, and live in Japan, why Kenya have anything with it?

Yeah it seems pretty tricky, don't fully understand it, but localbitcoin seems like the best option, filter location by japan and you should find japanese based sellers.

bank wire is the most convenient for me,I'm pioneering an online research job for Kenyans living in japan, guarantors and benefactors have bank account registered in Kenya and japan...i'm simply asking if there is any possible means i can send bank wire(swift) from Kenyan bank to buy e-currency from a japanese bank/individual
I have also learned of person to person exchanges but i'm not sure of a marketplace to find trustworthy japanese based individuals...please bare with me if my question looks a bit naive.

I saw this thread posted by this year, so I decided to reply it.

Also Kraken operates in Japan but it never accept local JPY for now; Although Localbitcoin has JPY seller, but it's a p2p markets, slow speed and high fee(1%)

So you should try another gobal bitcoin exchange - LakeBTC, its good price, low gap is best for buy/sell or trading. here https://www.lakebtc.com/deposits/new?currency=jpy

buy bitcoin with Japan domestic bank transfer

+1 try bitflyer.jp... It's good exchange. You can deposit JPY via bank wire and buy bitcoin there.
Also they had a bitflyer lightning (such an online  meta trader )

You might consider using LocalBitcoins ot try to find an ATM location. Other than that you can take a look at the Kraken exchange. I believe they opened a delegation in Japan.
