A video produced by BuzzFeed. Performed by spoken word artist Caroline Rothstein.

My thoughts on it:

Isn't it sickening how an unhealthy lifestyle is promoted in such a way? Why should people avoid eating healthily? Why should people feel no guilt what so ever for something that it's entirely their fault for not changing. Body weight, is something entirely manageable and there are only rare exceptions. It's different from gender, sexual orientation or even race. I can't figure out why some people try to convince everyone that "feeling comfortable with your body" should apply in all cases. Acting like obesity isn't a problem, encouraging people to embrace it and do nothing about it rather than just avoid unhealthy eating and lack of exercise. I find such campaigns truly irresponsible.

you wanted to live in a world where all people, cultures and lifestyles are equal, so live in it

Be radical, have principles, be absolute, be that which the bourgeoisie calls an extremist: give yourself without counting or calculating, don't accept what they call ‘the reality of life' and act in such a way that you won't be accepted by that kind of ‘life', never abandon the principle of struggle.

Op, did you even watch the video? She's not even advocating being fat but just eating when you're hungry and stopping when you're full. And besides, she's not even fat. Looks quite healthy to me.

This is actually against the trend of starving yourself to be seen as "thin".
I would any day prefer to be seen as healthy/fat rather than thin.

Having a BMI of just over 25 has been shown to give the longest life expectancy.
I have no issue with people who are over-weight, usually someone with a BMI of 28 looks fairly trim, nothing crazy, e.g. 6'0 and 207lbs, not skinny, but pretty average.

I do think that once people get to >35 BMI, they need to look at themselves and people really shouldn't be telling them that it is ok. That is 6'0 and 257lbs, that is just fat, they will struggle to do menial tasks and have a seriously reduced life expectancy.  Do they love food so much that that is all they want in life?

I have never understood why people think women with very low BMIs are especially attractive.  I think it is women telling women what to be, rather than men telling women what the want. I have never heard a man say that they wish a woman was size zero, ever.

The whole fat and unfat, healthy and unhealthy situation has been warped.  1 person can seem quite large but be perfectly healthy, put that same weight on another person and they'd be unhealthy.  Same thing goes for slim people.

If a person cant walk due to weight thats obviously too fat.

Skinny/most slim girls are unappealing, i like women with curves.  Im slim myself always had a high metabolism.

When you think someone is fat ask yourself, why you are drawing that conclusion.

If they want to be fat, let them! Why should we care? I have enough of the government giving me advices on life, family and health.
Let's face it some people are addicted to food or just too lazy to work out just like some people choose not to have a job or not to marry.

Exactly right.

I'd rather worry about something else, like my own things.

I'm sure we watched the same video. We probably didn't pay attention to the same parts. Because among other things, she said "Eat whatever you want, whenever you want and however much you want". And later on goes on to say that that body weight isn't significant. That's the one and only way to obesity.

That's because she came from bulimia/anorexia, she was afraid of food, like a lot, she probably count every calorie, after eating to much purge, and so on.

This video is for that kind of people...

This video is for that kind of people...

You keep on defending this for some reason. Which I don't find weird, I would do the same if I didn't know that buzzfeed was actively promoting social justice culture. The "artist" in this video probably tries to appeal to the "fat acceptance" movement. I wouldn't be surprised if the claims she made at the start of the video were a lie to touch the sensitive hearts of some. SJWs are not the most honest kind of people, they even have this "listen and believe" principle that they tend to follow.

I agree that healthy people should eat what they want, and when they want, it seams perfectly logical; if ure hungry, you should eat, and the recent curly woman promotion is something
i agree with. You dont have to have a perfect body to be butiful...BUT when your size gets to xxl (avg american ^^) you should realy consider getting some help.

Yeah, I was talking about the lady with the puppy fat. Gone by morning.

You cannot see visceral fat, which is the real killer.

Nothing like squishing your organs killing you from inflammation.
