Title: cloudminr.io is a nest of thiefs beware
Post by: tarzan2 on April 11, 2015, 11:18:42 PM
So I bought a hashrate contract from a fellow bitcointalk member recently, and since no one was responsive via messaging on the cloudminr.io site we transferred the account itself over to my control rather than simply the hashrate. I messaged them a few times over the course of approximately a week asking them to help move the contract itself as I didn't like having redundant accounts. After having not responded whatsoever for about a week, they updated their twitter saying they were processing all support tickets. The next day I try to login to my account only to find that it had been pulled from the system altogether-my email address was not even recognized.
A heads up to you all, this service is trash and I think they might pull an exit scheme at some point, so tread with caution.
I would not recommend giving them any of your bitcoins.

Thanks for the heads-up. Do u mind telling us for how long you cant access the site?
Maybe there was something else happening here, do u trust the person that gave you the account ? The first thing that hit me is that its possible how that user
can make a claim he cant access "his" account, and asked for login/pass reset.
If the support doesnt answer you in 3 days or so, then it probably is best to avoid them anyways, sorry for your loss.

cheers

Its been 24-36 hours now.. and I just dont understand why they systematically ignore any and all attempts I've made to contact them. To me that in itself is suspect.
I dont believe the person who gave me this account would do such a thing as to be honest its not even worth that much.. plus he was a solid dude.

If it has cloud and mine in the name beware. 95% of cloud mining operations are pure ponzi schemes and legitimate cloud mining simply isn't profitable. Save your bitcoin or invest it in a trustworthy gambling site.

Heck, cloudminr.io is have all the signs of being a ponzi site. They're offering good to be true offers and you can ROI in just 3-5mos which is unlikely for a cloudmining.

Hi Tarzan, I'm sad to learn that there is some problems with your Cloudminr account actually.

Is that ok with you if I send your case to cloudminr.io support ? I had about 10 supports tickets and everytime it was fixed. ( mostly were manual withdrawal and GH/s balance to voucher ).

I would do it because you are the first customer in 4 months that have a problem that is not fixed.

I'll need your e-mail adress and the e-mail adress of the member you bought some GH/s, just in case the contract is still on his account.

Thank you.

( I'm not related in anyway to cloudminr.io, just a very satisfied customers, the numbers talk by themselves but yes there is a lack of transparency )

Why would you buy an account? Why would you buy a ponzi scheme account. Look at these latest discount they offer, exactly the same thing LTCgear did. Now it s just a matter of time before they go under. Use your heads people.

What kind of dump solution is this? Why would this work? They re going to answer somebody else about his account?

Looks like a lot of people who invested have been able to ROI and get postive returns, but yes it could very well be a ponzi. Maybe someone could direct their attention to this thread to sort it out.

Why would you buy an account? Why would you buy a ponzi scheme account. Look at these latest discount they offer, exactly the same thing LTCgear did. Now it s just a matter of time before they go under. Use your heads people.

I am guessing a lot of people buy the accounts as the account sellers sell them for a very low price, as what would cost them to buy a new mining contract. But yes, its never worth to buy accounts on fishy sites like this. People are running their own ponzis by dumping their accounts to other people .

Instead of selling the cloudminr.io account you may open a ticket and then ask for a voucher of the Hashrate you want to sell, then it will be took on your actual hashrate. I sold 2 x 1,000 GH/s with vouchers and everything worked fine.

I pushed up your support ticket Tarzan2.

me and the seller of the account had tried to make that happen but after a day of waiting we both just said fuuuckkit cause you know what? they should be on top of their shit.. at least a little bit.. and especially when their handling so much money that is not theirs. and it should not be such a big deal for them.. especially since that entire account was worthe ~0.15 btc total

its not unreasonable to expect them to respond to support tickets within a 2 business days is it? especially when there was at the time a notice saying they tend to respond in a few hours.

i am not amused to say the least

All this story look very stupid and immature. You cant expect ppl to give you answer for 1-2 days during holidays too. I had support ticket with Steam and same time P4ndoraBox7 open support ticked for vouchers in cloudminr.io They solved our request faster from Steam but take 2-3 days.

I cant understand why you need to buy acc not hash rate too. What you did is illegal trade acc info. So you gave money your "friend" but you forget to save user/pass and after it you cant access account? How this is cloudminr.io fault?

I didn't had any problem when registered my acc. Activate free 100GH take seconds. Buy contract take 10 minutes till your send btc get 3 confirm and i buy voucher for 1000GH from P4ndoraBox7 and all worked.

If you have problem and want to contact cloudminr.io correct topic is this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=850784.1660

All rest look to me like paid bad advertisement from another service.

Why do I have a feeling this price reduction they ve been having recently s not going to end well. That price they offer s simply not sustainable, especially with this BTC drop.

If people don't buy you drop price, if they still don't buy you drop it more, special if you really mine and you need ROI your miners and pay electro fee. All scam alerts don't help them at all for get many contrast, from other side all alerts look from ppl with 100GH or zero.

So if they are legit company with legit miners and competitive services use other ppl for put finger all time and call them scamers how you suggest them for get more customers?

Hello mate,  if u have a good quality of bitcoins.  Then I suggest you to save them or just convert them in your local currency.

Its better to save them or convert them than gambling them. You may loose all your bitcoins, if y gamble with them.

Amen brother,

Full disclosure... I am satisfied cloudminr customer. I too transacted with pandora box to buy 1 terra hash peer to peer. It sounds to me like the scammer may have been the person that you bought the account from.

I think the honourable thing would have been to contact the owner of cloudminr directly before post a QQ public post. Not saying it is not possible that what you are saying is true but as pointed out, it sounds like you could be a shill trying to spread FUD. Their support on their website has been having glitches recently and this has been confirmed on their bitcointalk post by Adrian the owner.

Why do I have a feeling this price reduction they ve been having recently s not going to end well. That price they offer s simply not sustainable, especially with this BTC drop.

Note that they have seen price and difficulty drops in the past and never been late on a single payment. So your assessment is unfounded and pure conjecture.

If your opinion is based on any type of actual evidence or even analysis please post, otherwise you are just spreading your opinion and trying to represent as something more than that. Do you know or understand their business model? Any idea how they make money? How much money you think they are making? Does the owner even care about making fiat money? Have you asked yourself any of these questions or looked anywhere but inside your "feeling"? I have lots of feelings but they don't always materialize. I feel like you are working for the competition or uninformed but that is just a feeling and who knows, I could be wrong.

My opionion is based on my support email to them asking for photos of the farm and/or their mining address to make sure they actually mine. Do you know what did I get back? NOTHING, no reply on that one.
You tell me why would a legit company hide these two things? Why it would not be in their best interest to ensure full 100% transparency so their clients can feel safe and secure.

They have never been late on a single payment? Do you want me to start the list of cloud companies which were never late on a single payment until they crashed.
1. LTCgear
2. Hashie
3. PBmining
4. coinintellect
5. chabat
6. terrabox
7. hashprofit
8. cryptomine
9. etc.etc

These are only those I remember off the top of my head. All of them were defended by satisfied clients who never missed a payment. Until they DID.
Request FULL transparency or do not invest, that is my advice. BTC is yours, waste it if you like.

If i have run cloud services i wont tell rest ppl my mining locations too. Its like self kill them. Provide some more pictures can make ppl feel safer but how we can know its not fake pictures? Till i don't get my contract protected from law i wont feel safe with any services.

Mining locations? Who s asking for mining location? I m asking for a MINING ADDRESS. A blockchain address which can support the fact they mine at all. There s no single reason why they would not disclose this since there s no way anyone can use this information. It can only show they actually own and operate a mining farm. They never provided evidence about this address.

Did you ask same other services and how many gave you info?

I didn't had any problem when registered my acc. Activate free 100GH take seconds. Buy contract take 10 minutes till your send btc get 3 confirm and i buy voucher for 1000GH from P4ndoraBox7 and all worked.

All rest look to me like paid bad advertisement from another service.

Not saying it is not possible that what you are saying is true but as pointed out, it sounds like you could be a shill trying to spread.

-Mulletwang

I ve seen tons of photos of Hashnest farms. You can also check Antcoin pool data. They also make their own ASIC. Bitfury, another ASIC manufacturer, confirmed they provide mining services to Bit-x.

If cloudminr.io can provide any proof they actually mine, I ll gladly acknowledge they are legit. Anything at all?

Hashnest is sure legit but how this help us when deals they offer are so bad and you wont ROI at all. Same for some other "legit" services. I cant understand how taking my money and guaranteed me i wont ROI at all make them less scamers from any other proved scam services?

So do you prefer those deals from those ponzis sites which offer you less time to ROI? do you capable of getting ROI from those sites? all I know is that those ponzis sites will close once they are unable to support the site with their ponzis system.

Getting that unreal short time for ROI in one sites surely indicates that the sites is of course a ponzi site, The only way to profit from a ponzi system is to get in faster but that doesnt actually means you will get your ROI before the site closes as there are still a chance that their business might close down before anyone reach ROI

When you invest your money in any site its 100% loss day 1. Difference come from how much you going to return in time frame. Bitman/Hashnest are "safe legit" service but after 1 year im going to be still much negative ROI so its make them 100% bad invest = scam deal - refer atm S5 offer.

In this topic we talk for cloudminr.io. Invest here Your ROI is 100% after ~~100 days. So risk/return is much better ratio compare Bitman/Hashnest. First service guarantee 100% loss part from your money and second give you chance for ROI and Profit if they stay around for longer. In second one is risk to invest but in first one is dumb to invest.

A lot other service offer worse deals from Bitman/Hashnest so they are more "scam" don't matter how legit they are.

I think the main problem is that people consider 300 or 500 days ROI unrealistic. In any other industry, people would kill for this kind of ROI but in BTC economy, due to tons of scammers promising 12 days ROI and similar, we ve all got accustomed to refuting anything which does not promise under 3 months ROI. People do think before they invest and then they cry when the service vanishes with their money.

Fine, keep investing in cloudminr.io. We ll see how long it s gonna be around.

Bitman/Hashnest PACMiC deal offer show very realistic how much cost (1btc) 1 AntminerS5 for them to ROI in ~~100 days include electro fee. You get small profit 5-6% from this deal and Bitman ROI his AntminerS5 after it they can sell it for 390 dollars in other contract make his profit much bigger.
Sure this kind manage service guarantee to stay for long around and being very stable but how this help us? They are way so greedy and want to take all profit and fool us. Sure go invest here and dream for your ROI after 500 days...

Well even if they vanish tomorrow I have ROI'ed. I will not lose anything. Will I be disappointed, yes no doubt but all I will be loosing is potential profit. I have already profited about 50% and I reached ROI in 76 days. Personally I think the juice is worth the squeeze. I didn't invest a significant amount and even now I am learry but I tell ha what... I am quite please I took a leap of faith.
It's been said before and I'll say it again, don't invest anything you can't afford to lose. Nothing in this world is guaranteed except death.

All things die, that does not make them scams. A scam is defined by the intention and a failled business is no way a scam and I think some(not all) of the cloudmining operations you listed fall into that category.

Yes indeed a much better investment in term of ROI, but in term of security, cloudminr.io have been up for almost 6 months If I recall correctly and most of the ponzis cloudmining only hold up for max 1 year, in short, It could run up with investor's funds anytime sooner and it trigger a red flag for people to "invest" in there

I do agree that hashnet took much longer time for ROI, but I wouldnt call it a loss after I put in my coins there since I put my coins in a legit site like hashnet.

Disclaimer : any sites could run away with investor's funds, do your own dilligence before investing

Once more. Send them a support ticket and ask for their mining address. If they do not want to provide it, ask why not. There s no better test then that.

Sigh.... I know you are right Maestro ( or crazyivan ) thing is...We can't say for how much time it will last...It's still work...It could exploded like any cloudmining companies around, but we just can say when it will...

From now...I have almost my ROI, maybe 2 or 3 payouts...

As seen on their twitter page ;

cloudminr.io
‏@cloudminr
Our largest shipment of mining hardware is in the customs already. Should be online by next Wednesday! https://cloudminr.io

Most of the answers were ; Ok but can you offer Pictures ?

I guess it would be a good timing to get more transparency.

As much as I can see, they have introduced another discount coupon which bring prices to even more laughable level. Also, this increased marking campaign without a single proof only adds more blocks to the puzzle, things do not look good.

What do they reply when you ask for photos of that hardware?

Even if you get your payout and ROI, some other guy will lose their money, this is what ponzis is about . Judging from the past experienced from the other ponzi mining , there will actually be only miniscule of people who actually reached ROI and there will be large amount of people who get burn if the sites decided to scam stop their payout

Most of the answers were ; Ok but can you offer Pictures ?
I guess it would be a good timing to get more transparency.

Pictures doesnt actually provide a security for the investor , since I do believe some ponzi mining might be doing some partial mining instead of 100 % ponzis system. Or rather the site can snatch up some random hardware picture on google. Best thing for transparency will be the mining address. period

As much as I can see, they have introduced another discount coupon

This is surely a red flag, if a mining sites decided to give up some crazy discount, it actually means that they are trying to lure in more people to pay out the early investor.  In this case, there will be hashie and ltcgear which give up some crazy discount before they decided to scam

Photos doesnt stand as a proof that the cloudmining isnt a ponzi, as if a cloudmining sites doing some partial mining, that could trigger a red flag as ponzis as well. If I remembered correctly there was a photos confirmation of bitmaintech shipping of large batch miner to GAW, but that doesnt actually proof that GAW isnt a ponzi

This is true. Showing photos does not mean they are 100% legit cause they could do partial fractional mining. However, NOT showing photos measnt they are ponzi 100% cause there r no single reason for them not to show those if they have miners.

I'll put that question on hold until wednesday.

Any news on this one? I suppose they have made regular Monday payment?

People are reporting on CloudMinr.IO thread about missing payout. Re-investment was automatically turned ON to their account...

No need for pictures, No need for proof, their ponzi is folding, I did not get a payment today so I went to my account and noticed mysteriously my auto re-invest option had been turned on. Now why would someone hack my account just to turn on auto re-invest. Since I have not logged in since the past 2 payouts I can assume only someone within cloudminr.io has done this. I am waiting for their reply from support, but I can guess what they are gonna say. But to their surprise I have already asked them to forward me the IPs that accessed my account and when the change was made, since i have not logged in there for 2 weeks, its impossible for my IP to be there.

Step 1 Turn on auto reinvest
Step 2 No payouts and no reply from support staff
Step 3 Get DDOS attacked
Step 4 make excuses why they have to close the doors
Step 5 never hear from them again.

Well it sure was nice while it lasted, I got 100% ROI from these guys so i am happy. But be warned if it seemed fishy before its really gonna get nasty now.

106 BTC have just been paid out!

Why did you turn on automatic re-investment without my consent ? Because of this I have missed yesterday's payout. I logged in today and turned it off. This is no good.

CloudMinr ID: marble

Please take back my extra hash power and give me yesterday's due payment.

I have not received yesterday's payment. On investigation I found out that automatic re-investment is turned on my account. Why is it so ? I have turned them off and would request not to turn them on again. If I need more hash power, I'll buy them directly. Please take back the hash power from re-investment and send my mining payout to me...

My CloudMinr.IO ID is gullit2.

This is what CloudMinr.IO has to say in response...

We have a feature that enables automatic re-investments if account is unattended for at least 21 days for security reasons. See FAQ "What happens if I forget my password?"

Disabling this feature is temporarily unavailable through dashboard, but you can always contact us and we will disable it. :) There have been numerous cases of people forgetting their wallet passwords and their account passwords altogether, which have caused losses for them.

We are running strong and expanding. Thank you everyone!

It might be fair to say you believe it is a ponzie but to go further than that is an outright lie and I begin to question your motivation for your smear campaign. Are you so self righteous that you will stop people from possibly investing in a good thing based on your belief? Common, if people had read the FAQ in it's entirety they would have seen The following...

For security reasons, if your account is unattended for more than 21 days, automatic re-investing will be enabled automatically to prevent you of losing your earnings because of possibly lost or forgotten private key. To opt out, you should contact us. Automatic opting out of this feature will be implemented soon.

It is fair to say it is bad policy but to call them a scam based on a bunch of whinny babies crying wolf is uncalled for. Please communicate information that is accurate and do not jump to conclusions or propel your own unfounded belief. What your posting is factually inaccurate and I hope people are doing their own due diligence  to find out the facts of the matter.

Funny how this is a security protocol there, this explains why I dont receive my small earning of the free 10 ghs. This is sure a red flag for the investor already as there is something shady going on.

First of all, someone who loss their private key of the address will quickly change their withdrawal address there. This is actually not a security proctocol , rather a red flag as they could be preparing to end their service soon

Note : the sign of the collapsing of a "cloudmining" is that there is something wrong or delay about the payment, the owner will then make up A-Z excuses about it . Food for thoughts !

Maybe the protocol is there is stop people like you who have invested nothing yet expect something for nothing. All you have to do is log in every so often to get your payout and stop your payouts from being reverted into gigahash. Not like you lost anything anyway you probably have a few more gigahash as a result anyway. There is nothing wrong with their service because it continues to work as it has always been intended to work. You can't blame the operator for you not reading the FAQ in its entirety. You can have the "feature" disabled by simply requesting that it be turned off. Show me where excuses that you claim were made.... I continue to have doubts about this service myself but the position you are putting forward is false and untrue. Please rebut anything I have said with actual evidence.....PLEASE.  Anyone reading this should recognize that there is a systematic effort to discredit this service.

Maybe they are a ponzi, but there no evidence to support that claim as many have stated or implied. The only evidence is the lack of evidence provided by cloudminr that they not a ponzi.

That is like convicting someone of a crime and making them prove they didn't do something ( the burden of proof is on the accuser).Better yet prove that there is no God. If you can prove that ( beyond a reasonable doubt)then that makes you a god yourself.
Fun fact:I don't believe in God, but I don't try to pretend that it is completely impossible

RANT OVER^😊😊😃😃😀😀

And that quote of me is inaccurate as I was quoting from their website, please remove because I don't want people thinking those are my words as they are not.

How many people HAVE received their payment yesterday?

From this increased BS about new miners arriving it does seem as these are last moments of this so-called cloud mining service.
Another LTCgear-like saga begins.

Every single person who has logged in ( following the publicly declared policy) during the past 3 weeks has received their payments. Why must you propel utter and total nonsense? If your not even invested why do you even care? Smells a whole lot like a smear campaign.

I have nothing to gain defending cloudminr but the nonsense going on around here regarding them is pissing me off. Last post on the topic. Screw you guys.

No, I m not invested. Why I post?

I have my made my MISSION in life to prevent scammers from stealing money from newbies and hard working people. That is what kind of person I am. No other agenda in all this.

If they are not scam, then why do not they publish their MINING address and some photos of this expanding farm? What is the official explanation behind this?
They do that and they shut mouths of their critics. But they cannot do it cause there is NO farm. This is why I do this.

I too don't want to see anyone loose their coins but that is up to each individual. And if a fool falls into a fool's trap so be it. What makes you think you can prevent that?

Imagine this guy is trying to run a legitimate service and he has a bunch of people running around slandering him, and his business...  Is that fair ? Does make you a good person? Until you have proof don't take such a firm position. People may take your opinion as fact and I think you should be conscious of that if you are half as self righteous as you claim to be. let the card fall where they may. If they don't get caught by this scam it will be a e-mail, or phone scam, or the next scam. What are you doing to try to stop those? How about the polical corruptness robbing us each and everyday? Why not put your energy into exposing those?

I am as concerned as the next person for the welfare of others but I think you are being unfair. Just wanted to say that. And Ivan, I respect your position and I DO think you have legit points about their transparency, I just don't like how you are going about trying to expose them.  Idk how many bitcoins they have taken in but they have paid out almost 1000 bitcoins. Ever consider that? They have freshly mined bitcoins for sale why not buy one and see where it came from.

Right, I get 0.4 cent monthly from cloudminr, which is alot?  ::) . Yes I have invested nothing, but it was their giveaway anyway

There is nothing wrong with their service because it continues to work as it has always been intended to work.

It is something wrong because that they are implementing this suddenly which caused some of their "investor" to automatically purchase more hashes instead getting their payout

You can't blame the operator for you not reading the FAQ in its entirety.

Yes, but people can blame them if there is a sudden change with it, My last login was 3 months ago and I can clarify that this is a sudden change of their rules.

Show me where excuses that you claim were made

Read above, My last login was 3 months ago. yet I receive their payment before unlike this week

Anyone reading this should recognize that there is a systematic effort to discredit this service.

Yes it is, im stating my opinion as I see some red flag which is similar scenario like most of the collapsed-ponzi mining.

Maybe they are a ponzi, but there no evidence to support that claim as many have stated or implied

Yes there isnt any evidence, but there is a red flag to it. Which is why im stating my opinion here because I had got burn alot in ltcgear before

This is not adequate comparison, my personal info and investment portfolio to a mining address or a photo. Not even close.

What can I do with their mining address? What kind of action can I do with ti? How can anyone harm them or their clients with this information? There s no way to do that.
Photo? The same question, what can I do with a photo of their farm. Hashnest and Genesis Mining post these photos all the time and they re much, much larger companies then cloudminr.io. I do know how S5 or SP30 miner looks like, there s no secret there.

Regarding freshly mined coins, I have no doubt they probably do have a few miners they use to sell these coins, if they do that at all. But there s no proof they operate any kind of large scale operation. If I m wrong, pls do offer any evidence and I ll apologize. Transparency is the key in crypto business. The lack of transparency kills this industry and attracts scammers. Buy consenting to give our BTC to people who do not provide minimum of transparency, we just feed ponzi after ponzi. People should be at last warned about this, if they still like to play this game, fine.

Cause I do not have no interest in trashing cloudminr.io, what kind of possible benefit could I get from that?
He, on other hand s got every possible interest in scamming people, if he s not legit.

I couldn't care less what you 2 guys think, especially since you both have clear financial interests in this scheme, in the case of Pandora, tons of referrals who are going to cry one day, probably very soon. I wonder if there are going to remember you in the process of trying to claim back their losses.

On the other hand, I have no interest in cloudminr living of crashing, I couldn't care less. What I do care about is preventing every single scammers and ponzi pumpers from ever touching a single BTC of unsuspecting noobs. You can be sure I ll keep doing this until hell freezes over or cloudminr provides some data which support their legitimacy. Mulletwang, the fact you could not even cope with the idea of somebody doing this for the benefit of the community tells a lot about you. Please do let me know what kind of other motive might I have? Do I promote something in exchange for referral fee? NO! Do I run my own ponzi scheme? NO!

Rather I would say that those trashing cloudminr including me were those who wanted to share a two sided opinion so that people can know the risk rather than investing in cloudminr blindly

I almost got my ROI and still continue to make business with Cloudminr.

Congratulations, but still the fact that even if you reach your ROI, after they "stop" their service, there will be always someone who will get burned, not everyone can reach ROI in this kind of shady business, that is why I wanted to share my opinion which is a fact from my experiences

I made a small investment in cloudminr.io back in January of 1TH/s when they ran their promotion for 25% off. I've got the reinvest option turned on and have adding 500 gh/s again a few months later, for a total of 1.5TH/s purchased.

Just checked my account and I'm up to almost 5TH/s from reinvesting. I have never taken a payment, always doing the reinvest, but it seems like it's paying regularly. Who know how long this will last, and I'm getting to the point now that I think I'm going to start taking payouts, because it's making me uneasy having so much hash that I haven't taken any dividends from.

Anyone else have any feedback on cloudminr.io successes so far?

At least this time, i made ROI in 15 weeks. The last one I picked (who shall not be named) is up to 40.9% ROI in 305 day thus far.

Just a heads up...On the cloudminr site now you can purchase a database of all username and passwords, they display a sample userinfo at the moment just to prove they have the database.

If you have had an account there and you use similar emails and passwords for other sites, would recommend you go and change them all immedately.

So damn sad to see that people who actually deal with money and make investments, use such poor passwords. Only a handful of the passwords a decent.

That made me think cloudminr might not be that stupid to keep unencrypted passwords, but those decent passwords are added to look like the hackers have all in clear-text while in reality they bruteforced the easy ones.

although, i will miss you.. i really will enjoy it if you respond with more scribblez like this :) btw have you been taught to color in the lines yet?
