Keep in mind the true supply will be ~12,500 coins at the end of PoW. edit: an easy rule of thumb for coins with consistent halvings: take the first mining period, double it, and you have the final supply in this case the first mining period is 250 blocks * 25 coins = 6250. double that = 12,500, and you have the total number of coins from pow. of course PoS will destroy some of the later blocks but the reward will be so much lower then the overall supply should be minimally effected. It's dangerous for all the mining power of bitcoin to be in the hands of any one person, but it doesn't matter for a coin like this with a total value of a couple of hundred dollars. The dev could help that by posting a killer roadmap, but being a rational person, he probably isn't so he can mine more and I don't blame him. As far as the pool goes, SuchPool went offline because they were not getting any miners. SO, if anyone wants another pool....go and ask pool operators to add Nocturna. I checked main.cpp and the it appears to be coded properly for halvings every 250 blocks (except it seems to have a base reward of 0.1 rather than halving indefinitely which the ANN implies), so apparently the error in the code lies elsewhere. When the similar situation happened to me the trojan had been on my machine for months before it was actually used to steal coins. Could be the same case here. The main incentive when it comes to c-cex is that it's an exchange with a larger user base and therefor more volume. At launch the diff was over 1000. Do keep in mind that the block rewards were much higher at launch than they are now (see the first page of this thread). As for the merger deal between Monsanto and Syngenta, it's definitely interesting that Monstanto pulled their bid thus ceasing any further acquisition talk.
