I am CERTAIN the authorities were wrong in assuming it was "A case of Domestic Terrorism."  Just the fact that the shooter was Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez means NOTHING.

I simply don't understand the idea behind gun free zones. It will only weed out sane people with guns and give a shooter the piece of mind that they won't be shot at when they begin a massacre.

The second post is called “Understanding Islam: The Story of the Three Blind Men.” It suggests Abdulazeez felt his fellow Muslims had a “certain understanding of Islam and keep a tunnel vision of what we think Islam is.”

Donald Trump was unfortunately proven right on another one of his top issues Thursday: "gun free zones" at military bases.

Indications that Thursday's shooting at two military bases in Chattanooga, Tenn., occurred at or near "gun free zones."

In an interview with the website AmmoLand.com, Trump decried the zones on military bases, suggesting that they left highly-trained gun operators without a weapon to fire at attackers, with the exception of military police.

Well, suppose you and I were strolling down the street and we concealed carry.   There's a massacre going on inside a store with a sign on the door - "No Firearms."

What are we supposed to do?  Break the rules, and the store owner's desires, and go inside and put a bunch of holes in the shooter's body?

Someone needs to help me out with this, because I'm having trouble figuring it out. 

If you are government, and you remove the right to bear arms, the government is responsible, and the people behind not upholding the Constitution are responsible personally.

If all the people in the chain of command have marching orders signed by their commanding officer, to make gun free zones in the military and government, the top person in government is responsible.

I wonder if Obama has a surety bond on file.

Navy Sailor Becomes 5th To Die After Tennessee Shooting



A sailor wounded in the attack in Chattanooga, Tenn., on Thursday died overnight from his wounds, the Navy and his family said.

Randall Smith was a petty officer in the Navy. The service declined Saturday morning to release his name, but Darlene Proxmire, a step-grandmother in Ohio, confirmed his identity. His age had not been confirmed.

I don't patronize places with that sign. Ask the owner if he/she will sign a contract to protect you with his/her life in the event of an attack. A gun free zone is just a place you will surely die in an attack because signs work only on law abiding gun owners.  Does anyone think that a crazy person or a murderous rampage killer or a robber is going to obey a stupid sign?  ::)
I saw this morning that armed people are volunteering to stand outside of recruiting stations to protect the army. And the army is considering getting rid of those signs.

What a stupid idea it is to think that a sign is some kind of protection. a GUN is protection.

We have just confirmed here at FOX from the Pentagon, that the head of the US Northern Command has now issued a directive to authorize recruiters not to be able to carry weapons at the centers but he wants them to implement new security measures like “closing the blinds at the office.”

This is largely what POTUS said during his upcoming appearance on “The Daily Show” Tuesday night, according to a White House pool report by WaPo‘s Steven Mufson.

Host Jon Stewart spent a segment asking Obama about the media.

“You love em. They love you,” Stewart said. “Are we focused on the wrong things? Are we demanding too much of you, too much of government? Are we inflammatory?”

POTUS said that “the media are a bunch [sic] of different medias. Some get on my nerves more than others.”

From the pool report: Obama added that “what I’m most concerned about is not that it’s unfair or too tough on government …but that it gets distracted by shiny objects and doesn’t always focus on the big tough choices and decisions.”

POTUS said “it’s tough for folks to do an hour-long special on urban Armerca [sic]. …tough to get everyone focused the same way.” He said “we then operate in sound bites.”

Just convince yourself that children throwing schoolbooks at a gunman is safer than an armed response.

The link below is for ALICE training and is all the rage among school leadership. In their videos the gunman is always befuddled by a second grade kid throwing a math book at him.  I guess that's why all the worlds armies carry books instead of guns these days.  ::)

But seriously, if your child is receiving this sort of non-sense training in school, you may want to set them straight and disabuse them of idea that anything less than a gun is needed. It is truly dangerous misinformation. You can see the "technique" at about 6:00 on the video. Don't ever do something this stupid.

Feds: Some servicemen killed in Chattanooga attack died while helping others escape from gunman

Some of the five servicemen who were fatally wounded effectively sacrificed themselves during the assault on Thursday, diverting the gunman away from a larger group of potential victims, according to a law enforcement official briefed on the investigation into the killings…

Maj. Gen. Paul W. Brier of the Marines said: “Our Marines reacted the way you would expect, rapidly going room to room, getting people to safety. After they had gotten to safety, some willingly ran back into the fight. All of us can be extremely proud of what our Marines did that day.”

Mr. Abdulazeez went out through the back of the building, Mr. Reinhold said, and into the fenced-in motor pool area, where “two service members attempted to provide cover and assist the military personnel attempting to get over the fence.”

It was there, he said, that four of the five victims were killed and that the police caught up to the gunman. In the shootout that followed, an officer was wounded, and Mr. Abdulazeez was killed.

A report distributed among senior Navy leaders during the shooting’s aftermath said Lt. Cmdr. Timothy White, the support center’s commanding officer, used his personal firearm to engage Abdulazeez, Navy Times confirmed with four separate sources. A Navy official also confirmed a Washington Post report indicating one of the slain Marines may have been carrying a 9mm Glock and possibly returned fire on the gunman.

Authorities will not know whether White or the Marine hit Abdulazeez until an autopsy and ballistics assessment are performed.
