Edit: It's not really another ICO coin. I'm sure the community is tired of ICO's. It's crowdfunded, yes, but it has a twist to make things interesting and profitable for early funders.

I aim for a completely simple and easy to use coin. Very far from technicalities. We need to focus on bringing crypto to the masses, something even bitcoin is failing at.
No strange addresses, no complicated wallets, simple blockexplorer interface, social integration, yet keeping anonymity and the essential features that hold the network.

I can give more details in the near future. Working on it.

Small ICO, crowdfunding, whatever is best to call it. Will bring a lot of potential to angel investors. It will only cover development. Always under escrow.

Small update:

I've been working on the whitepaper. A proper plan is on the works, describing what kind of innovation WARP has to offer.

I've also been contacted by developers interested on my distribution plan. And a platform is being built for fair distribution.

Launch will not be rushed. But keep an eye out.

Since my distribution plan is not possible via an exchange - different price levels / coin amounts - I'm looking to find a trustful escrow to hold funds.
I'm contacted a few forum members that ask for quite a large fee, percentage wise. I'm opposed to use large slices of crowd raised funds to pay for anything other than development. If you know trusted escrows that would hold the funding for a small donation fee I would be happy to hear some suggestions.

Funny you brought that up. WARP is no axiom, no tron, no circ, no bob, no hidden shit, no whales, no market manipulation. Quite the opposite.
Community based consensus and fair distribution is the way we take. Investors will be buying into their own decisions. They will take the lead on the coin's future. Market manipulators will have no saying here.

How can you say that without anything posted here or on the website? both says more info coming soon. Do you have inside information or perhaps you are on this dev team or = dev?

Update:

I'm establishing a trusted escrow within the community to handle multiple transactions. Escrow will sign a message proving he owns the depositing addresses. Payment to the escrow will be donation based, 1 or 2% of raised funds. I hope everybody is okay with that.

I got a few PMs with questions, so let's make things clear. There will be a premine on first block for the total amount of sale coins: 1,094,500 WARP.

After that there is no reward for the next 4999 blocks to allow distribution. Wallets will be available then. POS will start at block 5001. Algo is x11.

The roadmap is finished and will be published once the testing of the network is complete.

I didn't deleted it, it was deleted by a forum mod who thought it lacked argument (I guess...)
What I loled at was your stupid distribution plan, with the excuse you can't find escrow... (which usually goes as we won't need escrow soon...)

You want money, we got it... and you expect to handle the coin yourself to everyone who pays for it.
First it would be a real mess for an escrow to escrow every transaction (but very profitable) and it will be an equivalent mess for your distribution as well.

The only thing, I see is that  no one will really know what has been distributed to whom and when... (and what you keep).
so again this is probably a good contender for the shadiest plan of the week.

Also no distribution through exchanges just means there is no exchange and you don't want to pay to get there.
since the coin are handed by hand, it means it will never gain momentum, meaning it will never get to an exchange...

but hey you need money... (don't worry you'll probably find a few morons who think like you "they want money and that could be their get rich fast plan"  ;D yeah right... this clearly won't happen  ;D)

A trusted escrow has been found thanks to the help of the community.
I don't expect to handle the coin myself. This is why I've been working to find help and make sure everything works out.

In fact, I'd prefer distribution through an exchange, which would save a lot of work hours. Yet no exchange will put up 20 sell walls. But no worry about momentum; once distribution is completed it will be listed immediately.

Before funding even begins the chain will be tested, and the code analyzed by 3rd parties. A roadmap and distribution guide made public. Nobody here will be investing blind - and certainly not to get rich fast.

I get your reserves. No need to call anyone a moron. I invite you to come back in a few months and see how this played out.

Why not mining? You talk about safety, mining helps in security. Make it pow+pos!

1,094,500 WARP at an average price of 0,00002828 BTC sound good. will the inflation rate be forever other just for a particular time until the total coin supply has been arrived?

Inflation rate is related to the WARP prices. Meaning it will start at 1000 satoshi per WARP and increase by 6,5% once a certain amount has been sold.

Will you clearly define at what oints in teh sale the price increases and

 buy it up to double the price before anyone else sends a sat

It's a very good point and it was a tough decision.

I considered it during early stages, between premine (sale amount) and POS stage. But would have to make sure that it would follow the same principle of the crowdsale, ie, mining costs would have to follow the same pattern of reward and inflation in distribution: something pretty hard to achieve.

And since the point is fairness, which I don't mean pricewise only: it's pretty obvious not everybody can mine.

Think of it this way: there will be 19 boxes to be opened. They are all clearly marked with prices and amounts. Somebody is gonna grab the cheaper box first, but that's the one holding the less coins. So you're gonna have to make a judgement on which is the smarter box for you to choose.

Don't worry, this is going to be very clearly defined before the box opening even starts.

Anybody can buy whatever percentage of each box they feel like. As long as it's not sold out already.

I'm not going to rush the launch without doing enough testing. Distribution plan also seems way too complex for a coin that is meant to be simple. So launch can only begin when all of this is simplified enough. That's what I'm working at.

Funding/distribution will only begin if the platform for it is stable and can handle multiple transactions without a risk.

At last, crowdfunding, ICO, or IPO, whatever seems best, means, in WARP case, that community funds will work towards development. The escrow is set up and the community will be responsible to release those funds when development stages come along.

Hey all.

Some time has gone by. This time has been put into coding of new features and testing the chain. At the moment, 4 developers are at work and in constant contact with me. I've abandoned the idea of a manual distribution with the help of a forum escrow, since I managed to negotiate with an exchange to deliver the same original distribution plan.

Meaning, the ICO will be offered by an well known exchange, yet the same parameters apply. It will have different levels and different prices - the box system that I referred before.

We are currently finishing up some ideas into the code and testing the stability of the chain. Marketing developments were also initiated this week. I trust to deliver more news some time very soon. Namely, what kind of new features, if they are 100% successful in testing environment.

It has no timeclock. It lasts as long as there are unsold coins. Announcement will be a week or so in advance. And people following the thread will have enough notices that it is about be launched.

It will not be launched exclusively on Bitcointalk, but several forums and mailing lists.

There are a few tweaks left to be done, and then I will choose and announce an appropriate date.

Yes it has been long! :D That's a great sign, I tell you! And finally, there are some news, something to make this thing start for good! Something to make worth going public.

The last few months were a fight in the dark to get to find the right people for the right job. I had to go through many devs and so-called devs, eventually made a few mistakes but ended up finding the right path and the right people to work with.

WARP is ready! Well, almost.

The design is finished and it's gorgeous. The back end team is ready for the final assault. The front end is aiming to finish the user friendly interfaces in time.

It has been a few months of headaches and waiting times and production expenses. I am now more confident and certain that the beginning is near.

If all goes well, and it looks like it will, Warp will launch in December.
Some adjustments will be made to this pre-ann thread terms, so stick around!
