Title: [Megathread] SHIBANU Physical Dogecoin!!! - 4 sets left at clear out prices!
Post by: SHIBANU on September 01, 2015, 07:50:23 PM
!Hi all and welcome to our thread!

It's our pleasure to finally announce our long awaited 'SHIBANU' Physical Dogecoin

We've been working on this project for the last year and what an adventure we've had!
We've gone through various designs and prototypes and we are finally ready to show it off to the world.

We've spent lots of time developing a product that we hope you'll enjoy. We've capped mintage at 500 so there will never be more than 500 of these coins sold. (Actual figures will be less).

Having looked into numerous possibilities we have decided to sell our coins unassembled. This means that all coin addresses are generated by you, eliminating the need of having to trust us with your private keys. A little extra work for a lot more peace of mind :)

Please let us know if you have any questions and we'll do our best to answer you as soon as we can.

I'd be interested, but really only want one coin myself (and maybe one of the first gen coins).  Still wanted to voice my interest.

Looks like the only numbered coins are prototype coins #1-100 and are free when 5 standard coins are purchased (1 free for 5 original purchased).

Shame the originals aren't numbered, I prefer numbered coins :).

As Hedgy pointed out, only the prototype coins are numbered.
We considered numbering the coins but decided against it for multiple reasons.

Sorry about that.

Thanks for pointing that out. We noticed that earlier and are trying to find ways of sorting it out. The reason why you see it costing that mix is because it is charging you for delivery for each coin.
I'll post an update once that is fixed.
In the meantime, if anyone wants to make an order, we can sort something out via PM.

Thanks :)

Great. A few more people in the USA wanting to join the groupbuy and we can order. I am waiting on a shipping quote. PM me if you want in on a small USA groupbuy. If Blazedout419 is still offering organize a small group buy, then I am happy to hand this back over to him. I am in for 5 unless we need a few more for a bigger discount. Otherwise, let's try to wrap this up in the next day or so.

Sounds good. I have you down for 3. Anyone else interested PM me.

Edit: I will start a separate thread for the USA groupbuy. There are about 15 coins left if anyone wants to join.

Edit2: Order has been placed. There are still 15 coins up for grabs for USA/Canada buyers who want to save on shipping. You pay for shipping within USA/Canada plus a flat rate per coin. PM me for details. If there are any left over after the holiday weekend, I will create a thread for the groupbuy. Escrow always accepted.

Is that a 1cm depression for the private key? It looks like the guide here http://cryptoimperator.com/en/diy-guide/ (http://cryptoimperator.com/en/diy-guide/) would work for these coins as well. I would just add that it is much easier to use masking tape to pick up and position the hologram.

That is a 12mm recessed area for the private key insert. The guide you have linked above will work for our coins, although we are working on our own guide which we'll post in this thread.
Any circular insert up to 12mm in diameter will fit in our coin.

Thanks for the helpful link and advice :)

can you be more specific on the "GOLD PLATING" part?

Is it the entire coin that is gold plated?

If so, what purity of gold?

The entire coin was dipped and is gold plated.
To be completely honest, we paid out supplier for 24k gold plating, however, we didn't have any way to test this, so we didn't want to specify 24k without having any proof of this.

If someone knows of a why in which this can be tested, we'd gladly listen or even send a sample to a trusted member who can test it out.

Thanks :)

I'm very surprised how cheap the coins are being sold at if they are in fact dipped completely in 24k gold.

I stand under correction but I don't think they were completely dipped in melted gold as such but rather a solution with gold ions, which then gets deposited on the coin because of the cathode/anode thing.

Dipping in pure melted gold is expensive, and at least to my knowledge somewhat uncommon.

Thanks for helping us clarify this.
The coins were plated using a common process known as electroplating. This process uses electrolysis to deposit ions suspended in a solution on the coin (as explained above).
There are some pretty good descriptions online about how electroplating works, but if you have any more questions, please feel free to post here or send us a message.

Thanks :)

Are the 100 prototypes part of the 500 minted??
or was this a test run??

Thanks

The simple answer is no. We minted 500 normal coins (although less than 500 will actually be sold).
The 100 prototypes were coins we never planned on releasing. They were made in error and we had to buy them from a manufacturer we were working with originally.

I hope that helps explain :)

Yes. Very good.
Thank you much.

Is there a difference in the coins since they were made by different manufacturers??
Even a small one. (say maybe the composition was 85/15 of various metals and now it's 80/20)

I would say there are perhaps a couple of small differences, but nothing drastic. As far as I remember there was a small change to the coin thickness which may have effected the weight of the coin.
I could be mistaken but I'll have someone look into it.
With regards to metals, both are pretty similar although we paid for 24k gold plating for the official coin (please see posts above with regards to this).

The other differences are more aesthetic. The finish of the coins is very different and so is the quality. As pointed out earlier, the design itself changed. Additionally, the prototype coin features a square recessed area for a private key whereas the other coins have a circular insert slot.

Can you post a picture of the limited edition?

There is a photo of this coin in the second post of this thread.

Thanks :)

A few updates:
•Firstly, it seems that the thread photos have been disabled and displayed as links due to new forum rules. They'll be back to normal once we become Jr members on here...
•Secondly, we are in the progress of releasing our website. The site will solely be for information purposes at this time. Orders will be accepted both here and on Noobie.io
•With regards to our listing on Noobie.io, with thanks to their incredible team we have been trying to solve the past issue of the shipping charge error. We will test it tomorrow and hopefully by then it'll be working flawlessly.
•Our DIY guide should be released shortly. We're trying to make it simple and quite fun at the same time :)
•Lastly, all orders have shipped (with the exception of one that's going out tomorrow). So, what are you waiting for? We're accepting new orders :)

I've been busy and slacking with BitcoinTalk lately, but these look pretty sweet and I'd be interested in picking one up sometime, if anybody in the US has an extra they'd sell or trade for.

Unless there are new forum rules that I'm not aware of (which there probably are), I would just try posting them again but hosted from Imgur.com. Imgur hosted photos work great here, while other hosting sites usually show up as a banned image link. Even if you can't post the photos again until you are a Jr. Member, I recommend remembering to use Imgur. I don't know why so many other hosting sites get blocked here, they just do.

Also- Welcome to the forum and nice work on the coins! Looking forward to picking one up sometime.

another point i have forgot to mentioned:

the back of the numbered coins  is different, for the holo place.. with a quater instead of a smallest circle for the regulars coins..

That is probably one of the biggest differences.
Should we make a second series of coins we may actually use a square private key insert to also allow us to use QR codes.

Obviously that'll mean creating a new hologram so it will only be viable once we sell out of these coins...

yeah , i personaly prefer having a better place  like square instead of a small 1cm circle  to put a private key and (or) a QR code ..  ;D

anyway thanx again for clarifications  ;)  i will vote for a serie 2  too !!

edit:
OP ,  just a suggestion:
what about adding a poll on this specific question in this trhead... ?

You can use the site to place an order for as many coins as you'd like
We charge the same shipping fee for up to 5 coins whereby any more than 5 you'd be charged for 2 shipments. However, we can offer couriers for larger orders.
We also give special pricing for orders based on quantity so if you intend on buying more than 10 coins do send us a PM :).

Regarding a series 2, we think that it will only be possible once all these coins sell. Having been said, we've got some crazy ideas that we hope we can bring to reality should demand for it be sufficient.

We'll be stopping orders temporarily next week (holiday) so be sure to get your orders in now for fast despatch :)

Needless to say this is not really acceptable. All my coins have a film that needed to be polished off I think from the holders they were, in which is frustrating. The #'d coin I got was shipped in a different holder that resembled cigarette cellophane, which I'm not sure if this was a good thing so It wasn't pre-waxed in oils or neglectful to package the most valuable coin the poorest. Every coin has obvious imperfections to the naked eye (chips, swirls, scratches) While this one even has some DOGE poop on it ..Womp womp

We are terrible sorry about this.
We make sure that all the coins we send are in good condition so I'm not sure what happened here.
We agree that the coin pictured is unacceptable and we'd gladly replace it for you at no cost. Please PM us your address and we'll get one shipped out to you.

With regards to the other coins, some will have some small marks/scratches as those came about during the manufacturing process. There's not a lot we can do about that but we try to ensure that only coins we deem acceptable are shipped out.

We do not categorise any of our coins as the rarest of them all. The prototype coins you are most probably speaking of are included in larger orders as a token of appreciation. We never planned on releasing them as therefore they come packaged as they were direct from the manufacturer.

Anyway, please do send us a PM. We are really sorry about this and hope we can help you sort this out.

Thanks

I received 2 Shibanu Dogecoins from a trade with Pistachio and I must say I really like them! They look great, and they're honestly much nicer than I had expected. The only thing I noticed about my 2 coins is that there were 1 or 2 slight fingerprints on them, but that didn't really bother me. However, this is sometimes a common occurrence with a new crypto coin maker's first batch of coins (even Mike C. handled the earlier Casascius coins by hand). I would recommend handling the coins with vinyl/latex gloves in the future (on the next batch maybe) when assembling them or putting them into flips while packaging orders.

About the film residue on the coin flips that IBGigglin mentioned- while I cannot comment on that because I don't know the details of the situation nor am I involved with it in anyway, I will say that I ship coins in Non-PVC "Archival Safe" flips that I buy from JPsCorner.com. Even though these are supposedly some of the best flips for long-term storage of coins without any damage being caused by bad plastic/PVC, I have noticed several times that they come with some sort of oily-looking residue inside. I know they are good flips with good ratings by coin experts, so I don't really worry about it too much.

I took a few pics of the coins as well I will try to post them to the thread when I have time!

Hey, I'm not mad at ya at all. I would have definitely mentioned the brown streak on the one coin as well. Most decent & respectable coin/bullion dealers will always replace a damaged or scratched coin, etc. And it looks like Shibanu is doing just that so it seems Shibanu is starting off on the right track with solid customer service as hedgy73 said! Good on them.

I'd be looking to buy a few more singles soon if anyone in the US has a couple they'd want to part with. Will probably be in a week or two, but feel free to PM early.

I'm going to throw up one or more of these Shibanu Dogecoins on my little eBay 'store' just to add a new crypto coin listing and start filling my stock back up on there, so I snapped a few pics to share in the thread because I was very pleased with my two coins! My total # of listed items on eBay is currently pretty sparse. eBay is what I sell on the least out of 3 or 4 sites though due to the high fees; my stock ebbs and flows. I enjoy selling coins, silver, gold, and physical BTC and other cryptos on there. Eventually I'd like to have 1 or more physical cryptos of like 10-30 different varieties/companies on there all the time, and be known as The Place to look for legitimate (and not outrageously priced) physical Bitcoins and crypto coins on eBay, like cflow01 (bitguy101 on here) is (or used to be?) on there. Physical Bitcoins and cryptos are my favorite items to sell on FeeBay. I enjoy trying to hook up international Bitcoiners for cheap too with cheap shipping costs.
Anyways, what I was trying to say is that I cropped these pictures and put my eBay watermark on there and other brief words because I was getting them ready for eBay. So just ignore the words, and sorry if they come out too big. I've recently been trying to keep my pics full size for higher resolution when selling on eBay or Reddit, so that people can click for full-size and details.

If the pictures are getting blocked by those damn BTCTalk image hosting blocks, or just not showing up, you can Click here for an Imgur album of them. (http://imgur.com/a/KNFdf) There are a few more pics in there too.

Great job on Shibanu for making some fine physical Dogecoins on their first batch! Welcome to the physical crypto community on here! I'll be looking to stack up on some singles or a pack soon if anyone's selling or wants to sell/trade.

I got 3 of these coins and am very happy with them. I think for the price the quality is really good...much happy many joy. I really like it when people come up with nice coins at really good prices. I think you should charge an extra $1-$2 and include air-tites though. Recently I prefer the square ones with black for some reason.

I think the single best place to buy Airtites online is www.JPsCorner.com.  They have a great selection of anything you would need for coins, and the best prices. They stock the Airtite brand and have cheaper prices than the actual Airtite website. Supposedly the guy that runs JPsCorner is part or full owner of the Airtite company. Their packaging and shipping are on point too.

Apparently Blazed has "billions" of them..  ;)

Thanks! We're glad you like them.
The PVC issue with the flips we were sending out is definitely a potential problem and a risk we'd rather not take. For the moment we are just trying to replace all the flips with safer and cleaner ones.
We've already places an order with a U.S. supplier to ship the SAFLIP Archival double flips to Pistachio who organised the group buy. We will also be paying for the postage of the flips to the individuals in the group buy.

We are also working on getting in touch with all our customers and trying to get new flips sent out to them.
Ideally, having the coins in an air-tite as you have pictures above is best. However, we wanted to keep the price down and therefore we went for the more affordable option. The flips are more of a short-term storage solution.

In the meantime, we will also look into buying some air-tites and offer them to customers when buying their coins at a small cost as you have recommended.

Thanks for all the help and the comments. Credit to both Blazedout419 and Snarlpill for some great ideas and recommendations.

Kudos to Shibanu for taking steps to provide an even better experience for their customers and being very responsive! I agree with Blazed, sourcing some good Airtites and offering them for a dollar or two extra would be a great touch. PLUS- Shipping coins in Airtites is pretty much The best way of getting coins to their destination without damage.

I will say though I know a lot of people that ship coins and bullion, and while flips containing PVC are not recommended for long-term storage, these "experts" have said that PVC flips shouldn't cause any damage if just used to ship them from point A to point B. If I remember correctly, PVC damage is caused more over the long term, and I believe silver is more susceptible with it anyways.

TLDR; If the coins are only in the softer PVC flips for the short term, like during shipping, the coins should likely be fine. I didn't mean to cause a big scare to anybody!

It wasn't damage as much as it was a thin film that was easily polished off with a microfiber towel. It gets pretty hot where I'm at maybe that had something to do with it. Either way, no worries. Ill just keep the stained coin and sell it as an error coin next year.  ;) ..kidding don't go staining your coins kids.  :)

Well let us know if you want the coin replaced. We're only a PM away. ;)

Just a little update with regards to things. We've placed the orders for our replacement flips and all US customers (who bought directly from us) are getting their sent out. We're also working with Pistachio to accommodate those in his group buy.

We're also holding out on accepting new orders for the next couple of weeks while we're away. All outstanding orders will be shipped in the coming days. We've paused our listing on noobie.io so don't panic if you can't find it. It'll work again once we resume business when we get back.
We will still be online throughout this time so if you need to contact us feel free to send us a message!

Thanks :)

P.S PMs are still being sent to those on our order list regarding the flips. Don't panic if you haven't received yours yet.

A lady was walking some dogs by our house the other day. I wasn't really paying attention, as we live on an active corner.
My child started to point at the dogs and I looked over and.....
The lady had 2 Shiba Inus dogs. I had never seen one and immediately went and grabbed one of my awesome SHIBANU coins.
I showed her and she thought it very "cool" that someone would put her dog on a coin....I laughed and began to explain.
Yadda, yadda, yadda..........Now someone else knows of these great coins and Dogecoin/bitcoin!!

Very awesome when digital and physical collide. :)
Shiny Shibe, Much Wow!!  :D

Thanks :)

Thank you for your kind words. We are glad that you like them.
Remember that we are only a PM or website click away ;)

Loaded and ready to rock!!!  :D
This was my first ever attempt at making a public address and private key combo.
Only problem was getting the address to sit and then applying the hologram over the private key. I cut off the "K" at the end of the address.... oh well. ;)
I was even able to shrink down a QR code for the private key and it fit nicely into the regress on the back.

https://i.imgur.com/lNvvzax.jpg

Thanks :)

It looks great! Happy to see someone using their wallet already :)
A little tip for next time, print the firstbits a few times on a number of lines. You can also use tweezers to hold it in place when applying the hologram. It doesn't always stay straight though as you can see from our pictures in the OP.

I just noticed that the OP has many coins that already have addresses/first bits available.
Are these coins loaded?
Are they part of the 500 coin mintage or were they some kind of the prototype?
Are they available for purchase?

Thank you :)

Haha. We were waiting for someone to ask. These coins are part of the 500 and some are currently being kept away. We intended to sell loaded coins at first but decided that we would only want to sell them if they were perfect. These coins have different private keys (some have a full 64 character private key and others have shorter mini keys). When we tried cutting the keys, we did everything by hand and the cuts weren't so clean. We were worried that the keys may have been illegible so decided against selling them.

Hopefully that explains it :)

Hello world!
Just checking in here.
We had a pretty busy Black Friday weekend with over 50 sales! - Most of you should have received your orders by now.

We've also heard that a couple of members have sent in their coins to ANACS for grading and have gotten some pretty neat grades. If you have any photos of your coins, we'd love to see them!

We've also just done a latest inventory check. Supplies are limited so make sure you get your hands on some coins before they run out.
Hint - over half the limited edition coins are gone!

I wouldn't mind having one, maybe even two if I could get one of the two error coins. :P

We can split the roll? That would give us both 5 normal coins and 1 prototype for $65 each ;D

We have some exciting projects we are working on. We can't say anything specific yet as we're currently in the talks with designers and manufacturers.

We are also thinking about setting 100 of the current coin series aside for us to assemble at a later date. This would mean that we will have even fewer DIY coins available. Make sure to get your orders in ASAP! Remember, every order of 5 coins gets a free 'prototype' coin (while stocks last).

 :) :) :)

How many of you are interested in buying assembled coins? We are considering assembling the last 100 coins of this series but we'd need a new hologram to differentiate the assembled coins to the DIY coins. We were thinking of going with the same hologram in silver but this would cause us to have to charge quite a bit more for the coin... We're open to suggestions though :)

Would they be loaded or unloaded with the 50,000 Doge?

It wouldn't come loaded with the 50k DOGE. We would ask for payment + 50k DOGE and then we would load it upon delivery. We could also load the coins with the face value at the current rate of the buyer doesn't have any DOGE. The reason for the higher costs would be that we'd need to pay for a full hologram production run and the cost of this would have to be absorbed by the 100 coins. Normally speaking, a high production run would mean the cost would be spread more evenly over a greater number of coins. Here however, the low number of coins would cause the price per coin to increase.

I like this idea. Cryptoimperator does it this way for their BTC coins.

Would you then also sell the gold hologram assembled ones as pictured in the OP?

Are custom holograms expensive?

Thank you :)

The problem with selling the assembled gold ones is that people could simply use their DIY holograms to replicate the coins.
Say our firstbits show a wallet address starting with DG30oC1a, anyone who has a gold hologram can assemble their own coin and replicate these firstbits to give the impression that their selling a coin funded and assembled by us, where in truth the coin could have no private jet underneath whatsoever.

We need to find a possible solution to this to ensure that this won't happen. Our best option would be to use a different hologram that we will only use on assembled coins. However, a new production run (without design costs) could range between $700-1000 alone. That would bring the price of each coin up by $7-10 simply because we'd need to divide that cost between the 100 coins.

Have you thought about collaborating with gravitate or mrbrt to use one of their unreleased hologram series on a limited edition set of your coins (50 or 100 coins)? Since they are already produced, the cost would be significantly less.

Maybe use the Prototype ones for the pre-assembled "gold hologram" coins. ???
I guess this could still be done to a degree if you have a decent amount of the Prototypes left.
Un-hologram the pre-assembled ones all ready made and sell as the regular Shibanus.
This way there would be only pre-assembled Prototypes out in the wild and not be any fake duplicate first bits coins.

Thanks :)

As good as a suggestion this is, users could simply take their prototypes and use their DIY holograms to produce assembled 'prototype' coins.

coins...

We have been in talks with gravitate with regards to future colloboration but nothing in connection with our current series. This could be a possible option although as far as we know, both manufacturers do have some holograms that were released non-assembled which takes us back to square one.

If one of the above have some holos that they only used on assembled coins then it could potentially work.

I had the same thought.
This would work like the coins wttbs sold a while back. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1195329
The only problem I see with this is if someone did not use these DIY holograms on the Microsoul coins, they could use them to replicate the new ones from SHIBANU.
BUT, I know of only a couple people that got more than a couple of these coins, so the community would know pretty quickly if this came about.

Is there a way to "number" holograms after they are printed?.....
DUH (to myself  :P)... smoothie does this with a laser for his "buyer funded" coins.
Maybe this could be done using the Microsoul holos.

The Ravenbit ones would work, but would have to use the Node ones?
I am being lazy to look this up,  but didn't mrbrt sell sheets of the Satoshi holos? or maybe sent many extras when ordering?
I'm pretty sure I have 2 or more sheets of these somewhere.

Just some more satoshi to chew on.....

Thanks :)

EDIT: Maybe just laser engrave the ones already pre-assembled. If there are less than 20 or so, this would solve the problem for cheap!! :D

That is what we were thinking too.
With regards to the laser engraving, that is also a possibility although anyone could laser engrave their holograms. We'd need to do some more research as we currently don't own a laser engraver.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! :)

Any word on the new coins/holograms that you wanted to produce??

We are working with a user on the forum to design something awesome.
We're still going through the ideas stage but we've got some great ideas and sketches.
We will have to count how many 2015 Dogecoins we have left. Sales have slowed down for the last two weeks so we're not sure if producing a new hologram will be a viable option. We may just assemble 50-100 coins and sell them with a COA.

At long last, we have some news!
We received the holograms from our manufacturer last week.
However, due to a fault with the hologram master, the holograms came out slightly damaged. We tried sifting through the holograms to hand select the best, but too few passed our quality checks...
We spoke to our manufacturer about this but they weren't helpful and we ended up having to pay them more to remake the holograms after they remake a new hologram master. This will set back the release of the assembled coins to July 2016.
We can confirm that the assembled coins will be limited to 100 coins only and will sell for $20 per coin.

Due to the unexpected extra costs involved as well as the manufacturing cost of our next product (it's epic), we need to raise some funds.
We initially set aside the first 10 prototype coins to stay within the company. However, now that things have changed, we have decided to use these coins to help our company grow.

The first 10 coins (out of the 100 prototype coins) have been assembled by us using the best holograms of our last batch. They aren't perfect, but they are far better than the others we had to dispose of.
There will only ever be 10 prototypes assembled by SHIBANU. These coins are not for sale, but are being offered out for every 10 coins purchased on a first come first served basis.
Once these coins go, they're gone for good.

The coins come assembled with a silver hologram and are closed in a Leuchtturm/Lighthouse everslab.
These coins will come fully funded too!

Pictures of said coins can be found below.
The current price for a single DIY coins is $18.
The price for 10 coins is $16/coin excluding shipping.

We'd like to apologise once again for the delay in releasing the assembled coins. We really wanted them to have been ready by now, but unforeseen circumstances have prevented this from happening. On the bright side, a member of our team has been working closely with bigtimespaghetti on a new product and it is awesome. We are just waiting to get the renders back from the manufacturer before we begin production. It's definitely something worth waiting for :)

Thanks to you all for your continued support!

You meant July 2016, right?

Also, I don't get why you have to cover any extra costs to do with the holograms if the company creating them didn't get them right the first time. Unless you had to approve the "hologram master" before printing and it had unforeseen defects? Any other manufacturing issue expense should be covered by them, they're meant to be the experts..

Will these ones be numbered, unlike the ones from the previous serie ? If so I'd like to reserve some. No problem for me to pay an extra in order to do so.

Concerning the prototypes, except the holograms, will something change ?

Yes, we meant 2016 :)
We spent a long time negotiating with our manufacturer. They had a duty to tell us that there was an issue with the hologram master, but they failed to do so. As much as we argued, we saw it as a lost case. The best deal they offered us was in making a new hologram master and discounting the total cost by our last order. However, the cost of the new hologram master is significantly larger than the cost of our last order alone...

Even so, we still think that it's going to be a great deal at $20. The coins will also come in a Lighthouse square capsule with an insert :)

The assembled coins w will release in July will be exactly the same as the DIY coins in terms of design. However,  they will come assembled with a silver hologram. This hologram will never be sold or distributed and will only be found on coins we assemble ourselves.
Unfortunately we do not have the right equipment to engrave the coins.

The prototype coins will not change, however, we will never assemble any more of the prototypes with the silver holograms. There will only be 10 of them in existence. They are also the first 10 numbered

I've received my package as well and that assembled coin looks great, but it has some marks (https://i.imgur.com/opBRENe.jpg) on them that shouldn't be there. They look like ('s and my coin has quite a lot of them. It seems that the normal coin don't have this issue.

It looks like Minerjones' coin has the same marks. Aren't the assembled coins prototypes? In that case those marks would be 'perfectly normal'.

Why would it be 'Perfectly normal' ??

Is it made like this?

Well it is kind of cool though :D

That is correct, but why would it be perfectly normal for an assembled coin? I've seen quite a few prototype coins, but never one with this many markings.

Well, prototype coins are usually mockups so flaws are pretty normal. It's hard to tell from the picture but markings like that can be caused by the mold.

Though those marks look bad but since only 10 of these exist and if all 10 have those marks... it shouldn't be a problem other than while grading if mistook for scuffs...

It looks like some clarification is needed.
The 'markings' found on the coins in the pictures above are perfectly normal for the prototype coins in question.
As stated in our second post (see page 1) these coins weren't actually intended on being sold.
We still do not sell these coins but rather offer them as promotional freebies when an order of 5 or more coins is placed.

The markings shown above actually came about during production.
The coins themselves are made of a zinc alloy.
After the coins had been struck, they underwent the gold plating process. The method used by the mint wasn't perfect and they plated the coins using a brush plating method instead of the preferred immersion electroplating. So in short, the ) marks that you're seeing is where the brush 'strokes' ended and thus appear slightly different from the rest of the plating on the coin.

Hopefully that clears up any confusion.

Thanks :)

Hello world,
It's taken us a while and it's been a long journey through which we have learned a lot.
After many hours of work (and then even more work) we are pleased to finally announce our assembled coins!
The total supply of these assembled coins is fixed at 100 coins.
These coins feature the same design as our DIY coins but come with a SILVER hologram. These holograms will never be used on this coin series again.
The only other coins to feature this hologram design are the 10 Limited Edition Prototype Coins that we offered as a promotion for our DIY coins.
The price for these coins stands as follows:

Qty 1-5 = $24
Qty 5-10 = $22
Qty 10+ = $20

Shipping rates remain unchanged and vary based on the shipping location and shipping method. Please see OP for more details.

To place an order, please send us a PM with the amount you wish to buy, your shipping location and preferred method of shipment.

Thanks!

We are halting sales of our DIY coins for the time being.
We have something awesome in the works and until then we will be primarily dealing with the sales of our assembled coins.
The remaining DIY coins will be sold at a heavily discounted rate in a couple of weeks. Stay tuned for more!

You held an auction for five (5) rolls of these coins that ended on the 9th of August.

I won 3 of the rolls, you Pm'd me with details about payment etc. I replied that I could transfer you the funds that totaled 0.546BTC later during the night.

I received no reply from that one, but I sent the payment on the 10th of August. I pm'd you directly after the payment with Txid: c96a1c97b43c4d9413f3b744b116f861f0e961a51e6c3cdd51fdfc0d537612cd aswell as my shipment info. This was done on the 10th of August.

I still received no response from you, and I saw that you were online on both the 10th of August aswell as the 11th of August.

It has now been 4 days since the auction ended (which you locked btw) and 3 days since I sent you the payment. I demand a response from you.

And what happened with the raffle you would do where anyone who made a bid would get an entry?
