Title: [ANN] Trinity - TTY (SHA256d, Scrypt, Myr-groest) Trinamic Block Value System
Post by: milly6 on September 21, 2015, 05:23:42 PM
Currency Without Bias
The evolution of cryptocurrency has always been a product of great innovation, challenges, and discoveries that fuel new technologies and creative ideas. It is the spirit of invention that drives new altcoins to seek out and master new methods of security and effectiveness, to continually strive for greater degrees of efficiency, and to ultimately deliver something that is truly praise-worthy to the community and to the world.

Trinity is the manifestation of that ideology.

Three unique proof of work algorithms on a single, sturdy blockchain allows you the freedom to mine with your existing hardware, and a creative random block reward system will ensure everyone is mining on a fair, level playing field.

Greetings.
Since I have lost access to the "TrinityCoin" Forum account on Bitcointalk I am making this.

I will update this thread to once again contain all relevant information about Trinity (TTY)
but for now I am rushing to post this because of the nature of the circumstances.

The TrinityCoin bitcointalk account's password has been changed and I no longer have access to it.

I am the official dev for Trinity and I will post updates from "Milly6" and the official Trinity github (https://github.com/5mil/Trinity) ONLY from now on.

Anything posted by "TrinityCoin" from this point on can be considered fraud and/or bullshit and is not supported by me whatsoever.

Thank you for understanding, 5mil

To those who don't use Cryptopia - they have a pretty cool rain function in chat!  Go sit in chat and hang out and talk, and you'll get rained on with tons of coins, including TTY!

Hi everyone !

I am glad that TrinityCoin is alive again!

However, I have doubts about the reward for the block.
Currently, the average reward of the block is about 45. Previously it was about 3.5. This means that previously by month was mined about 151 200 coins. Now are mined 1 944 000 coins. That's over 12 times more! This means that previously you had to mine a year to mine as many coins as now are mined in a month!

I think that such a big difference in the blocks reward is unfair in relation to the previous miners.

Besides, earlier a well-defined probability blocks allowed to determine the number of blocks of a certain reward by which a block of reward 50 was a rarity and almost purpose of mining. Something like hunting on this block.

Dev, please take this into consideration.

What also need to be taken into consideration is that before the blocks were coming much much faster so this is actually about the same or less per month. The difficulty is now solid, before it was too easy. It would not go up high enough so thats why we mined 900k blocks so fast. Now that it is a working difficulty, the rate is much lower for blocks. Overall we may have more coins in the end but Trinity has always been way undervalued anyways so even with the new reward schedule we will remain a low count coin overall. Thanks for the input!

The dev and his advisors took a lot of things into consideration before making any changes at all, so not to worry my friend! :)

Yeah. Defaced and a few other vets have been helping me get everything in order. We are currently working on an update to make syncing work correctly.
We had a long discussion about how to set the rewards and how to set the difficulty and I am quite happy about the results. I feel as though its another step forward in the land of Trinity which is evolving to new levels of support and development that it has never been to before. We are very excited for the future.
Thank you to everyone who supports TTY and stay tuned!

As mentioned, we are on the tipping feature at Cryptopia as well as now having two pools running strong that need your hashpower!

I was going to add to one of my pools, but Im having issues :

"version" : 1000001,
    "protocolversion" : 70001,
    "walletversion" : 60000,
    "balance" : 0.00000000,

    "keypoolsize" : 101,
    "paytxfee" : 0.00000000,
    "errors" : ""

You see it has zero connections, yet I got a list of active nodes and it shows connections to start with, but dosnt sync any further, then the nodes just die of and drops slowly back to 0 connections

Not something I have seen before...

Latest version doesn't work for me. Unable to sync. With version before this one I had up to 9 peers now only one who is not stable and stuck at 954660 block, exact block that I had with old version of wallet. So it is unable to continue. All of this is with downloaded blocks from https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5ZlAhvy0lhsYk52ekdOcm1DSU0/view?usp=sharing. Do we need to use new wallet and start sync from the start. I m missing something here but definitely this is not working.

Edit: Back to old wallet and it is working just fine.

The problem is that Cryptopia has not changed their wallets yet. cryptopia is maintaining the longest chain right now and its not the same client.
so everyone connected to them with their old clients is keeping that network longer. when they add the new code, the longer network will match out clients and we will sync to it. I encourage everyone to run the new client software. Thanks, 5mil

Edit: The nice part is the fix seems to be functional. I am syncing the blockchain from 0 on the new client network from 2 other nodes with no issues. So as soon as the pools have updated to the new code, we should be in good shape. Thanks everyone!

Try putting these blocks in your data folder and you should sync up to where I am at.

It seems there may still be a problem with just syncing past 915235. This will go on the list for the next update that I do.

Hi !

just saw that Pool got Probs with new Wallet .

But i am busy at Work and can check it only later tonight

So pls STOP MINING  !!!
( i just shutdown Stratum )

Regards Glen

We should be fine as long as the wallets keep getting updated. As long as your pool wallet is updated to newest source, we should continue mining as the other pool is not online now either so we should be able to easily fix the chain now with mining. Thanks, 5mil

Sorry Dude but your newest Update kills Connections

2015-10-02 21:05:36 [Pool]      [trinity] (Thread 3) getblocktemplate call failed for daemon instance 0 with error {"code":-9,"message":"Trinity is not connected!"}

old wallet version , newest doesnt work for me :(

scrypt pool now at diff 0.7
works

and both pools on the right chain . chain accept transactions from different wallets

Newest Wallet crashed MYSQL Database Trinity because Connection dropped often from Chain . This damaged the Trinity SQL Share and Blocks Table .
I reorganize Tables but after all i has to install a clean Trinity SQL.

You have to re-Sign in .

Sorry for that

Just to re-iterate what the Dev said:

REVERT TO THE OLD WALLET AND SYNC WITH THAT, SYNCING SHOULD WORK NORMALLY ON THE OLD WALLET.

And then he will work on fixes for the new one. :)

You should be able to sync fine if you're using the link to the old wallet.  Did you try syncing from 0?

I am always willing to help compensate people for other services, mainly a working Block Explorer and some kind of gambling game, like Dice or something, as long as it's secure.

I am not sure what is fair for a gambling service, but I know that for a Block Explorer I am willing to contribute 10k of my own TTY.

Reply: Hi, The trinity wallet did for when they released this version and only gave us 12hours notice so by the time I woke up the fork had already started and everything was a mess. Our pool mined 900 blocks on the old fork which people traded/sold and now the coins don't exist when we upgraded to the new version. Then as you know that version was a total fail, and we have reverted back, but we are still down 900 blocks. Its going to take some time to audit the 5000 affected accounts after that the decision will be made if Trinity will remain on the site or be removed as this has cost us quite a lot of money. We found it extremely rude they expected us to upgrade 4 wallets in less than 12 hours usually coins give us at least a months notice. Thanks Cryptopia Support

The dev was just explaining to them in chat that these blocks are still valid if they just revert back to the old code.

Hi,

OP doesn't have a block explorer, is this one legitimate and current?   http://www.argakiig.us/blockchain/tty/

(There's also the explorer at Cryptopia, https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/BlockExplorer?coin=TTY )

It's kind of a gamble: with less miners we get more coins, so if the exchange reopens we'll make very good profits.
There is no reason we can't apply on another exchange, tough: it won't be cryptsy, but there are many.

I started with a clean install, downloaded blockchain, added latest addnodes and it synced fine. Try resetting your blockchain and peers.

                            Hi,

    We cannot get the wallet to sync, it has been stuck on block 11 for weeks.

    We have tried everything but still no luck.

    Once we find a way to get it synced we will give the users 4 weeks to withdraw their coins before it is delisted.

    Thanks

                            Hi

    Thanks for the nodes but unfortunately they do not fix the problem we have with the TTY wallet

    Every time we try to resync the chain it stops at block 11 and wont go any further, then eventually all the connections disappear and wont reconnect until we delete the blockchain again

    The debug,log is just fill of orphan blocks, so it seems this latest version has some issues that need to be fixed by the dev.

Here is my fixes:
https://github.com/bitbandi/Trinity/commit/a354c4d33c16e53c9950a9955d457398c5aa76c2

This fixes the GetNextWorkRequired function after 955000 block.
And between 915235 and 955000 this function completely wrong, check sould disable between this blocks.

I added a checkpoint at 1039000 block, based on this pool hash:
http://gcpool.eu/trinity/public/index.php?page=statistics&action=round&search=1039000

And now blockchain is good, if cryptopia can sync, there is no reason to delist.

are you to submit a pull request to the main git repo? or should we switch to yours?
I'm almost new to this coin so I don't know who "has the authority".

i will make a pr, hope the dev will merge it.

Okay I have synced 100% using the new code and it is now merged to the main branch here:
http://www.github.com/5mil/Trinity

I do not have a windows compile yet but I was able to compile in xubuntu 14.04
That QT is here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5ZlAhvy0lhsc2NIY0tNTE9kU0U/view?usp=sharing

This update seems compatible with all previous versions but everyone should update anyways. Thanks, 5mil

But someone on this thread was able to speak with them, that's why I'm asking.

I submitted a support ticket explaining about the new wallet version to Cryptopia. Hoping they will implement it and relist the coin. It was actually up 50% when they paused the market too!

No, it's from sgminer.

Well your local miner will always accurately show statistics, whereas pool statistics are only a "guesstimate" based on number of submitted shares. No idea why pool hash is showing better than solo mining locally. Which pool. Mine?

My tip: solo mining use longpoll, it cannot produce enough works, gpu is in idle when waiting for work.
when mine on pool, no need to wait for work -> no idle -> high hashrate

Will god accept these currency in exchange of erasing our sins? Like 1 trinity coin = 1 less sins ?

And for muslims we should make a coin too where

1 coin = a new virgin!

Amazing coin! I'm sure god is watching, keep up the great work! we will manage crypto currency into heaven I believe in you.

I think the best thing for now is to wait for some news from the dev, since we have Cryptopia working again, then try to get the word spread on the coin through social media like Twitter and others and try to get listed on a big exchange like Bittrex or Poloniex or something.

The biggest thing I think right now for us is increasing exposure, getting more people to be TTY holders.

Like I mentioned. Use your twitter account to do the promos there, or use another forum.

Do what you did in here, but don't tell people to post their addresses in order to get your reward.
Simply point them to another forum where you'll be allowed to post addresses.

on cryptopia there is really no demand for this coin. i am not sure if an other exchange will change something.
because i don't see what is special? just another coin.

i mined some because i wanted to switch on my old antminer S1.

Hi All! How about some plan, news?
I think the dev may be working on some things in secret, but I am not 100% sure.  One thing we do need to do as a community is try to get on a better exchange, like Bittrex or Poloniex.  We need a lot of people to start using their Twitter's for that.

Thats awesome!

As for plans..
I do have a few ideas but Id like to hear what yall have to say.
So Trinity followers... what would you like to see happen?
Where do we want to go with this?
I am very open to ideas/brainstorming/discussion! So.. lets dig in..
Edit: Yes I would love to see us get onto some more exchanges. Cryptopia does not have any real volume and Id like to see some arb oppurtunities for the followers as well. I have previously contacted Cryptsy/Bittrex/C-Cex/Poloniex and I will do so again.. but like noted above, twitter is going to be big for this. I will get on there and tweet a few things out but the more the merrier! Lets do some fun things! I have my wallet open right here, tweet your wallet addresses @fivemil and tweet @ the exchanges.. be creative, ask them to add us.. Ill blast out some coins to whoever does it! 5mil

I already did some weeks ago. Not sure what they want from a coin to be listed, 'cause they got some clear scams at times.

mmm, not sure that being added to Bittrex soo quick is good for the coin, because if we have not enough volume we will be in risk of be delisted, perhaps would be interesting to be before in some smaller exchange

yes, not enough volume. or just volume = zero at the moment.

or is it just because of cryptopia?

mmm, not sure that being added to Bittrex soo quick is good for the coin, because if we have not enough volume we will be in risk of be delisted, perhaps would be interesting to be before in some smaller exchange

I think it's just because of Cryptopia.  Nobody trades there anyway.  The volume for all their coins is shit.  That's why I said Bittrex or Poloniex would be better.  Much more action on those two.

Yep... probably yobit is a good marketplace on this moment for Trinity  ;) just my opinion  :)

Well we were on other exchanges before but we did get delisted. But Trinity was a different beast back then, it was broken. Now its fixed and if we keep going on it then itll be great. I love that theres several response after I posted that email link for bittrex. Keep us bumping along and gaining momentum/following. Cheers! :)

thanks for the update. as long as there is no "real" use for TTY there should at least be the possibility to trade and have some fun.

Wow thanks Crunk that's awesome!  Do you know what the maximum payout is on the TTY dice?

I have mined 1036 TTY so far to the dice wallet and the setting are set like this :

The default ratio between amount in wallet and max available bet is set to 25. So for example if you want to allow players to bet 1 TTY, you have to have 25 TTY in wallet.

So Max bet is around 40 at present, I am still mining to the wallet so it will grow, or if the OP/Dev wants to donate some then that will get it moving quicker the dice wallet address is DDA5J1kganpCH7Zsiht25GZa8cy8ivWcux

Any your welcome and I hope you have fun....

I recommend adding a "port=6421" or whatever port youd like to use, and make sure its open on your firewall. did the windows firewall popup come up the first time you ran it?

Having issues getting your TTY wallet to sync?

1. Close your TTY wallet completely.
2.  Navigate to your main Hard Drive, then the Users folder, then the User folder that's the one you always use.  If you have hidden folders enabled, skip Step 3.
3.  Inside the search window, find where your Folder and Search Options are, mine were within the Organize button. Navigate to the View tab, check the circle that says show hidden folders, hit Apply, then OK.
4.  Going back to your specific User folder, you should now see an AppData folder.  Open it, then open the Roaming folder.  Within that there should be a Trinity folder, open it.
5.  Right click an empty space in that window, and create a new text document inside the Trinity folder.  YOU MUST save the new file as "Trinity.conf" (without the quotes) for this to work correctly. If you open the file, you should still be able to edit it like a normal text file.
6. Open the newly created Trinity.conf file and copy-paste this information into it:

server=1
listen=1
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1
rpcuser=USER
rpcpassword=PASSWORD
rpcport=6420
algo=scrypt or groestl or blank for SHA
addnode=192.241.181.81:62621
addnode=87.207.169.147:62621
addnode=180.214.232.93:62621

7. Save the file after pasting the information, and go run your TTY wallet.  Give it a few minutes to find connections, once it does it will take a while to sync.  If you still don't find any connections, take the IP Addresses from this link (http://cryptogaming.club/nodes/trinity/) and add them to the .conf file just like the other ones that already exist, save it, and restart your TTY wallet again.  Be patient.

Posted this here and on EF for the people that don't know how to make their wallets sync. :P

I've launched a new Trinity giveaway thread here with much juicer rewards! http://exchangeforums.net/showthread.php?tid=8 (http://exchangeforums.net/showthread.php?tid=8)

It's also not a bad forum to boot ;)
Have given out probably over 40k TTY total now, and you get extra if you post a few times in that forum and try it out!

6. Open the newly created Trinity.conf file and copy-paste this information into it:

server=1
listen=1
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1
rpcuser=USER
rpcpassword=PASSWORD
rpcport=6420
algo=scrypt or groestl or blank for SHA

I've been watching TTY for a while, seems very interesting to hold, but surely needs advertising, keep a healthy wallet, may be a couple of exchanges more... xD

Monetary mass doesn't look too high. It will be 1,680,000 blocks, maximum reward is 50 TTY... well, if all blocks get maximum reward, monetary mass would be 84 millions, nothing billionaire.

If one does simple math:
 61.5% chance of the reward being 1 TTY
20% chance of the reward being 2 TTY
10% chance of the reward being 5 TTY
5% chance of the reward being 10 TTY
2.5% chance of the reward being 20 TTY
1% chance of the reward being 50 TTY

100 % chance  would pay out 88 TTY this would be 88TTY / 6 different chances = 14.66 say 15 per block on average. Total Blocks: 1,680,000*15= 25,200,000 coins.
25,2 mil. coins

Very interesting numbers. I did mine considering the trade book on Cryptopia, there were a lot of 150,000 coins sell orders, it was strange given the reward table so I took the 50.

To be a 25 million coin, TTY is definitively oversold.

I am working on a wordpress website right now for Trinity. What should we incorporate on there?
1. Proper links to Download wallet
2. Proper link to Block-explorer
3. Important the total supply of coins which can be mined, if there is no number no one will touch this coin
4. Road-map
5. Whitepaper

Also change the announcements specially the supply. It is better to give a number than saying you don't know. Than http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/trinity/ also should be changed to Supply 25,200,000. This is important.

I did this last week from ebay, 1006 coins in 24 hours. Not worth it at the current price. But it is always good for promoting high hash rates.

Hi there, I made an statistic estimation based on numbers of Prohashing.com block explorer taking production average. I found the following results (approx):

- Average block production: 78 TTY
- Average blocks per day: 2,496
- Annual production of TTY coins: 70.8 million
- TTY coins circulating at block 1,745,982 (August 10, 2016): 135.8 million
* I've read in early stages TTY were more difficult to mine. I'm not considering this fact.
- Forecast of TTY circulating on August 2016: 206.6 million
- Forecast of TTY circulating on August 2020: 419.2 million

Well, those are my results. I think they aren't too bad related to the potential of this coin, but I realize weren't as good as I thought.

Our team obtained many of the cryptocurrencies that were frozen on Cryptsy's servers when the exchange collapsed. The Trinity wallet.dat was among those recovered.

We are now in the process of giving these wallet files back to their respective communities. The wallet has not been inspected and it's unknown if it contains any coins. If you are a developer of this coin, or a longstanding community member, you can file a request for the wallet in this thread: https://www.gldtalk.org/index.php?topic=3789.0

Huhu any news of this coin  ???

need developer info~
Our team obtained many of the cryptocurrencies that were frozen on Cryptsy's servers when the exchange collapsed. The Trinity wallet.dat was among those recovered.

We are now in the process of giving these wallet files back to their respective communities. The wallet has not been inspected and it's unknown if it contains any coins. If you are a developer of this coin, or a longstanding community member, you can file a request for the wallet in this thread: https://www.gldtalk.org/index.php?topic=3789.0

Hey Microguy, I am the developer of Trinity so feel free to PM me in regards to this matter, Also.. I will check the thread you have linked. Thanks.

This coin still operate as it intended, and is still secure more than most cryptocoins. What news are you looking for? or what would you like to see?

original specs says: total blocks equal 1,680,000 ...

Each block value is randomized. I would love to have a block explorer.. I will pay a bounty of TTY for one.

i guess we keep mining and buying to take it from the hands of the dumpers :) I am working with a friend for a new coin based upon TTY which will not have such an extreme inflation rate.  I would like to swap a great deal of them.

There will be a swap to a coin with added features and updated codebase.

I am hoping to accomplish the following:

Adding mergemining
Adding masternodes
Adding Segwit2x
Making block size much smaller (0.1-10 random)

Everyone will be able to prove they have Trinity and will be able to get the new coin AND keep trinity although I dont know what dev TTY will have after that.
There will be a token crowdfunding on (most likely) The EXPANSE network which will provide people with the "premine" portion of funds

Thank you.

Good Plans. Looking forward to the swap.

I dont know who you are but that stuff isnt happening with Trinity
Trinity is a legacy crypto.. we are not forking it to add a bunch of "features" so you can pNd.
Not changing algos, Not adding masternodes. Development of Trinity will be discussed here and this newbie account "bishopcrypto" is not involved with Trinity.
We can have a conversation about what to do in the future but that will not be it.

No hostile takeover here!
Trinity will be revitalized and updated.. So I would like to hear some recommendations as to what we should do.
NOT planning to:
Change algorithms
or
add masternodes

I AM planning to:
Add mergemining (auxpow)
Develop an OpenBazaar clone or similar that will work with Trinity.
Develop a decentralized exchange with TTY as a base.

We need more exchanges!! Cryptopia is currently pausing all doge and ltc markets and we need to keep trading, so we will need to be added elsewhere!

Small bounties for exchange requests are available.. and please post any suggestions here as to where we should get added.

Some updates are coming soon to the wallet (being worked on right now).. working on implementing the block explorer and coin control directly into the wallet.. Yes these are basics but we need them!!

After that we are organizing a donation to an animal or people focused charity, from our pockets! PM me if you want to know more or if you want to help with the development.

think the best thing for now is to wait for some news from the dev, since we have Cryptopia working again, then try to get the word spread on the coin through social media like Twitter and others and try to get listed on a big exchange like Bittrex or Poloniex or something.

The biggest thing I think right now for us is increasing exposure, getting more people to be TTY holders.

There is NO masternodes for Trinity at this time.

I have tried to work on an exchange platform similar to Litecoin but it appears I will need to upgrade to newest litecoin base and adapt the code back to trinity to do so, and therefore I will have more work to do. If you would like to work with me, please find me @fivemil on twitter, or PM me here on bct and ill give u my skype or hangouts links. Thanks.

Hi, does this coin have to mine with GPU?

With Trinity you have the option..
it is multi-algo.

SHA256 and SCRYPT can be mined with appropriate ASIC miners

myr-groestl can be mined with appropriate gpu miner software (or with cpu but it may not make any blocks)
At the current time there is no really reliable pools for any algo, and I would be happy to PAY TTY out for a myr-groestl pool.
Thanks.

Also, Logo design contest starts now...

PM me designs or post in here, and I will announce the close date and winner when I decide we have enough entries.
The reward is 50k TTY.
I will also offer smaller bounties for people making advertising for this logo contest and tweeting.. on a case by case basis depending on overall quality. (PM ME) THANKS!!!

What happened to the price the last day or so, was there a P&D on this coin?

Also, since I have some coins now, is there a website or discord chat? I'd like to get in those if there is one.

if you have control over the website it should be updated to have the newest wallet and correct links it confused me a lot.

Hi, i think one possibility is that it uses sha256, scrypt and Myr-groestl as algorithms to mine, maybe that one sees that difference in difficulty, in sha256 it will be much higher, even if they take blocks on the same chain.

By the way, could someone share the Windows wallet? The link is not working, thank you.

Not sure what you mean by this? The difficulty is the same for all nodes on the network. You may be looking at the wrong algorithm?
