There's no such thing as forever lol. If we managed to sustain this price level, say for two weeks or so, then we might say that this is the new bottom for us, which is still quite premature even in that time span.

Yes. If we stay here for 2-4 weeks, then it is a new bottom and forms the basis for medium term up trend. If it rises too quickly, it will drop to $260 or lower.

Depends on how you look at it. If you plan to buy 10 coins for instance, you want to buy them at the lowest possible price.

Why spend 300 each if you can save 400 usd by buying at 260 usd? Buys you almost two coins extra for the fiat.

Ultimately, I don't think it matters if you buy a few bucks below 300 or above it, you will end up with a nice investment!

You will all learn very quickly that the poopfish is never wrong.  I recommend you all buy some BTC every week regardless of the price.  Do not bother trying to sell and trade your coins to gain more.  Buy consistently every week with what you have.  We are going up from here.

and we never know for tomorrow it could be back to under $300 again

Been averaging the price for months now and even bought some diuring the lows. I guess I'm good now, but I don't think we will continue now from here. No retraces yet.

Been doing the same, bought coins on all ranges between 210 and 270 euro, so I'm avaraging out quite nicely, even considering my early investments around 500-700 euro (not that many coins luckily).

Waiting for a significant retrace to stock up a bit more, but nevertheless, I'm happy with my current holdings.

The market is being held right now while the whales pump litecoin. By tomorrow or next day bitcoin will be pumping up again $330 $340 etc.

it's likely that once china wakes up, the price will rise even more in china (unless they sell in china to buy in america, since it's cheaper in america, but even that would drive up the price n america).

I am pretty sure we will see sub-$300 prices in the coming days. The current move up seems to reach its final momentum and now we need to correct a bit before, if at all, resuming the increase. So definitely a pull back, to at least $290 should be seen. 

It's nice to see bitcoin broke through $300, we need to wait till after christmas to see sure. I remember users used to spend bitcoin to buy christmas presents and price usually go down a bit.

I like the OP's FOREVER, I too believe that because In 2015 entire year I had not got chances to buy under $200 even some days prices tested under $200 also. Same way we can expect prices will sustain above $300 here after. But some people expect $290 may test in a pull back. Let's wait and see.

Compared to later comers, we are lucky. So hold your bitcoin and wait for the price rise. We might see our coin appreciate many times.

A guy buying 27 BTC now can be the guy buying a 1 million penthouse in 10 years, but most people will not wait enough to see the fruits of hard work and dedication consistently over time. Thats why very few people make it as long term holders, most will sell before the big price.

It's easy to see why someone would buy in 2009 and forget. It was less than nowhere back then. These days future explosions are surely in the back of everyone's mind. I've no doubt that people will flake out before it really goes places but this time around they'd be very dim not to keep a tiny bit of skin in the game.

Don't know whether this time it will become a reality but those people that saw the price moving past the $10 level and probably that was the last time that they saw bitcoin at the price. There's a good chance it will but the risk for it to retrace back to the original level is still there. Just be patient. These few weeks ahead might give us good indication

Yes that bitcoin has crossed $300 mark recently so it would be hard to buy for the price of lesser than $300. But some people here are always being bearish and expecting the begun praise at hand to hit $250 level. But I too do not expect that may happen.

The bitcoin price is too unpredictable. We do not know if we can still buy under $300. The price may drop briefly below $300.

$300 has been regarded as a sellout point for the better part of 2015. Now that we have broken this barrier, I imagine speculators and investors will now look to $300 as the floor. Once they see it get at/below $300, it is the time to buy.

Or I could be wrong, and we could fall right back down below $300 again and get stuck until the halving :)

Totally agree with you that if bitcoins will drop to $300 once more, speculators and investors will buy it, but if they do like that, it must get above $300 once more. Vicious circle till the halving?

it will not go under $300 as the support at that price level seems to look very strong. i think it will touch $300 and then go up again.

Very possible right now. We'll see in the coming weeks whether price would still hold. Bitcoins have been overbought recently, and a sell-off would correct that.

You might be right.  Because before price is going to test $400 level, there would be more chances for downtrend to some $290 level testing again. So this is not the right time to regret that we have missed out that $300 level.

If the price goes up and down around $315 for a few weeks, then it drops below $300, it is good time to buy.

When I look at bitcoin chart I see it is impossible to make speculations that the price will not go down 300 again because it moves so fast and suddenly

The fed's auction is in four days time and I feel it will start more rallying, or start a crash. I can't speculate on if the price will go up or down, but I think there will be a fast, sudden movement after the auction. The number of auction bidders might give a clue on how it will affect the price.

It is quite possible for the price to be over $600 by the end of the year. A few weeks ago, I thought the price will be over $350 by the end of the year.

Only 2 days ago $350 seemed impossible and now we are at $380. This was how the late 2013 rally unfolded, except that it continued for weeks then.

If the trend continous this fast we can see 1000+ in december. But I would really like a stable 500s range. Stabilized @500 for a few weeks would be nice.

If you put an order at $299, there is still some chance for it to be filled when a big negative news comes out.

I think the $300 level is quite strong as the mini dumps only reached $304 and yesterday $310. That alone is a good sign. Whales can dump it below $300 easily, but for some reason they seem to be satisfied with a price above $300.

I sure hope so because i expect price around 400 in december.

I think prices will go up again in March next year.It can touch the 500 $ mark but as soon as it hit that mark most of holders will start selling leading to fall in prices due to high supply

My guess is that after Black Friday, there would be a dump--same as to what have happened in the past years. I want to buy more but I consider such prices as 'not good' at the moment.

We've been around a steady $300 for a week or so now.

If it ever gets back to $200 I'll be buying some more. It also seems like it's slowly going up in value which is really great to see.

I think if end o year Bitcoin gets over $400 it will not go under $300 anymore unless something gets really wrong. That way after price decreasion in 2014 Bitcoin would show growth in 2015 and with everything evolving around Bitcoin would bring new people in Bitcoin.

It will probably touch low 300 again, but that will likely be the last time, except for maybe a flash crash like the one that touched 180.

Today, the price is well over $340. So the price is too volatile. Most retailers will not keep the bitcoin for too long.

Price is volatile and that means that one can't fully exclude sub-$300 prices. I wouldn't be that surprised to see that price before the end of the year. No matter what the current short term price action is. Having said that, I am also happy that the trend is changing and there are more and more signs that we may see BTC-positive 2016.

Yeah it is best to buy for around $300 or lower. It will go up in no time at all. You can then sell it for much more money and make a profit.
So i advise to buy and do not hesitate because the chance is small that it will drop any lower.

It could easily drop below 400$ again if there is a lot of FUD in the news. The Bitcoin community gets easily swayed by people who try to discredit the currency.

Yes the price is now good stable. And I dont why people negative about Bitcoin. Because it will be the future and that can be good.
You never know of course what the value will be and that is the bad thing of the coin.

Even coming week will be the last time to make a buy around the price of $400. The reason for this is based on the price increase expected in the coming weeks due to long time stagnation.

It wont be forever, the value is always changing so you never know what will happen later in the future and that is the problem with Bitcoin because it is a currency.
It has now a good value to make an investment in Bitcoin because the chance will be high that it will be more worth later in the future.

Price don't go beyond $300 anymore, so bitcoin to be bought at the price around $300 is simply a impossible one. Now price has begun to go high.

It is indeed a good chance now to buy some Bitcoins now around this time because the value is now low of Bitcoin and that is nice to make an investment now for yourself.
If you are buying low than the chance will be higher that you can make later some more profit and that is nice, you never know what with the value can happen.

For me, bitcoin is a currency as well as investment. As a investment, I just hold it and it increases in value most of the time.

I do not think the price will touch $300 again. If it does, it is very brief period. The $400 is the new bottom.

The chance to buy under $300 has long gone. If we do not buy below $450 in the next few weeks, we might not be able to do so in the future.

No matter how much you advice people to start buying today, there will always be people who will blame themselves for not buying at these prices.

I think not FOREVER, but in that time , may be after halving bitcoin will come at $300. because all circumstances will remain with all currencies, it depend on us, who we use it and get profit.   

Now you can actually say this with massive confidence. The days of sub $300 a Bitcoin may be gone for life, there's just way too much bull pressure to go that low anymore. We have seen a massive selloff the last hours and it has all been absorbed nicely without even going sub 400's again, not to mention the uptrend is still very strong.

The chance to buy Bitcoins for under $300 is already over and you are not able to buy coins for this cheap again. It is possible that the price is going to be this low again but I do not know when that is going to happen.

The value of the Bitcoin is not going to that low and that is because you also can see now that the value of the Bitcoin is not that low now and it is also rising slowly.
But people with already Bitcoin are now waiting for a higher value and that is nice.

You are talking about Crypocurrency, it is that currency who has no fix price.So no one give guarantee that bitcoin will never come back $300 forever.
After the halving it will be cleared, because bitcoin will come down suddenly and may be it will be under $300, time will show it.

Buying will be now not the best thing that you can do and that is because you have to know that there will be a lot of people that is holding now around this time so that is nice.
But it will be really hard to know what will happen in the future later and we have just to wait and see for what will happen.

There are even better profits now. The price is $650 at the moment. That is the over 100% profit.

That is right. But the price could already have the halving event effect. Its price doubled from last year's level.

Anything is possible with bitcoin, it may reach to the moon or even go back to $100 in future so the best thing is to keep on selling coins when you are able to make profits from it.

It will happen only when there is a fundamental flaw is found in the bitcoin or there is big split in the bitcoin community.

I don't think sub $600 prices are safe from being sold to for this entire year as no price level is safe yet. Maybe that we can say goodbye to sub $600 prices in 2018 but not yet.

The near future bottom could be between $500 to $600. In a few years, the bottom will be much higher.

We have missed that chance and I do not believe that we are ever going to see the value at $300 ever again, the price has to drop really low for that.

yeah, if you want to buy you should do that as fast as possible because the price of the bitcoin is going to increase soon, i think there wont be a possibility to buy under 700 again

we already missed the chance. and i dont think that the time will come again when we will be able to trad bitcoin in 300$. and that is the reason that i believer that we will not get the chance in future to trade bitcoin in 600$. because the price will increase in next some months and it will never come back again.

yes i also hope so and i think the price of bitcoin is giving another last chance to trade it below 500$ for the last time. other wise no one will find the opportunity to find the price with such a lower value  any more. i think the current price of bitcoin is really so attractive and that is the good chance to trade it in the present position because the price are to flew away in some days and this time is not going to stop even at 1000 USD.

I think that hack will delay the bitcoin price to rise to $1000 by several months. So $1000 could be in the middle of next year.

yes that is such a good idea, and we will not be able to buy bitcoin in the present price again. therefore we have a good chance to trade bitcoin below 600$ for the last time and we will not find such an opportunity again in future, because in the next rally the price of bitcoin is going to touch all time high and will never come back to such a low price again.

A few days ago, I missed the chance to buy at $460. So I think it is better to buy some at $550 now.

You're not the only one, I also missed the chance to buy at the bottom as it went back up too quickly. The lowest I managed to buy at was $508 as the price went up after every buy order I was placing. :D That's why it's important to set low buy orders just in case the price dumps down and goes back up in case of a mini flash crash.

You are very lucky guy. It seems it is a good idea to have a low buy order in the exchange just in case.

What services are you using to set buy prices?
I've looked at some exchanges but I've been hesitant to set any automated buy price because I'm new to trading.
I've done some things manually but nothing automated at this point.
