Hi,

I live in Europe and i am convinced that a world war will happen within the next 30 years, probably with nuclear weapons. There will be no internet, food, electricity, water available. Banks are closed so i can't get my money. No fuel in fuelstations so i can't use my car. No meds available everything is plundered in pharmacy's. Stores and wallmarts are plundered as well so no food.

What do i need to do to survive?

I wouldn't doubt a major meltdown of society happened.
Most of us would be best off just killing ourselves.. but few of us have the balls to do it.

There could be a wide range of things that could trigger a collapse of society around the world.
For example if a major chunk of earth lost Electricity for any extended period of time it would be WW3

The balance in place is teetering by the wind.. we are not in control of anything.

The best thing we can do is follow our Govt's emergency preparedness guidelines.
They all tell us to think ahead and make plans and make a Survival Kit in case of a disaster.
I say do that which is basically giving the matter some thought ahead of time and making a survival kit.

You need to know how to go into the woods and live off of nothing but same basic shit you can carry with you.
I know i have done it.. it's not easy !

Any and all supplies will evaporate fast.
Guns will run our of bullets and your electronics will die off and you will be left with the pocket change.

Know how to sharpen a knife.. make a fire.. make shelter etc.

You will be robbed and probably murdered or left to die with empty pockets.

The first Winter will clear away a large amount of the population.
Survival during winter is damn near impossible and requires extreme survival skills !

Get some weapons ready. Fight till you're dead.

Buy a piece of land in a scarcely inhabited area and build a small house there.
Start spending more and more time there and learn to live without your phone and computer. Even if the war never happens you'll be healthier and you'll feel better in the wild.

Time to start looking for dooms day bunkers which is the best way to prepare yourself for WW3.

You wouldn't stay in it and would eventually get found out..
The people would be eye ballin' you for your supplies.

And 1 or 2 guys with unlimited bullets in a bunker is not as secure as you think.

Interesting question. Now, I assume there's a noticeable build-up of tension before WW3 breaks out so there's actually time to make the most needed preperations to increase chances of survival. So I'm thinking: what would I do? I live in a small country in Western Europe and am surrounded by various locations that'll probably get attacked with nuclear or non-nuclear weapons in the worst-case scenario; the German Ruhr-area (vast industrial zone), a nearby NATO-airfield, ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp and more crucial infrastructure. Staying home would thus be an unwise idea, unless war starts out of the blue.

I'd hoard lots of fuel, food, water. Then stuff it all in my car and then a journey to the northern parts of Scandinavia would begin; scarsely populated and away from big cities, power-plants, military installations and more. I can't rely on ferries between continental Europe and Scandinavia, so I'd bet on the Öresund bridge between Denmark and Sweden to get further north.

Ofcourse, my plan certainly wouldn't be solid. Don't know much about surviving in the wild when I've depleted my resources.

I think there is no reason to talk about the beginning of World War III. Now the whole world is experiencing severe financial difficulties, so the government will not allow the start of such devastating events as the war

First thing I need to do first is to delegate and assign to different adult family members specific tasks so they can all be accomplished at the same time. My first priority is to assure my family survival like a need for Shelter, Water, and Food/Supplies. While some are working on the water storage and shelter at home, others need to be acquiring, as much as possible, the food and supplies. I wont join the war but I'll hide with my family for safety.

Just get some help in your community , and if there is no, just get some firearms and weapons like guns, sword, and bombs to fight the enemies.And also you can make a hole or a underground to live there until the world war 3 stopped. :)

I think it is funny how people think they are going to be completely destroyed in WW3. Maybe that is a common thought process for Europeans, since they are always the ones in the middle. The truth is that most governments realize the need for civilians, even in a country they are fighting. Unless we have another Hitler or Stalin at the helm I don't think it will be as bad as you think. There is more precision in battle now. No one just drops bombs on major cities in hopes of crushing the enemy.

But in the off chance of the worst case scenario, there are two options. Move to the rural areas. Or, move to Africa or South America. Don't move to northern Africa, it is too close. Move to central or south Africa. All of South America is pretty much the safest continent in a WW3 scenario. You only have to map out the possible areas where war will occur and stay away. If you are European and do not wish to move that far, I would also suggest Iceland. Beautiful place and has no enemies.

Places to avoid in WW3:

All of Europe, Russia, China, The Coasts of the United States, India, Pakistan, Korea, Japan, The Middle East. Most think of Europe, but all of these regions will see land grabs while the main powers of the world are distracted.

The power infrastructure and food supplies would be gone in a couple weeks..

Ok, lemme say this. The probability of nuclear war is very small.

It could happen, but the earth can be hit by an asteroid too. The probability is small, so I would just not worry about it. It makes you a paranoid, and nobody wants that.



However, in the case if it really does happen, and if you survive it, then I would do the following:

- Stash up on gold and silver, probably the best apocalypse currency
- Move to rural area, and join some community to grow food and animals there, they might not invite you in because they are tight on resources, but you must buy yourself in with gold or some skills (like if you are a doctor, or engineer, or have combat skills, they are useful professions for communities in an apocalypse)
- Have radio, medical supplies, food, water, defensive equipment, and others in such cases.


But I would personaly not really worry about this. I am more worried about an economic collapse, given all this global socialism, instead of a nuclear war.

I guess you can stock up on canned food and bottled water. Try to get permanent residence in a different country as well.

Each time, wars are becoming more and more destructive and bloodthirsty. Today, small local wars for influence and territories are conducted, but if the Third World War begins, then it will be a war for means of survival. Then there will be people destroying everything in their path.

And why not prepare for peace in the next 30 years? We must evolve, not destroy everything and degrade.

Move to a neutral country and build a deep tunnel and stack it with 1 year worth of supplies just in case the neutral country is affected by the war.

Because its never gonna happen and even if one country starts , the other country will pound nack upon them and it will totally abolish its existence.

Ideally, you need to find another platen suitable for living and fly there or some time to hide in a spaceship. This is the best option for shelter. Just need to prepare a good supply of food.

The world has been aflame for a long time in the fire of the third world. It's just an information war, not a nuclear one. People even forgot how to fight. They sit all day at the computers and pour tons of lies against each other.

Hoard things that people will need, you can use it to trade for food and other stuff. There are lists on the internet of must have items for survival then there are lists of tradeable items such as toilet paper, soap, cigarettes, etc.. things that will not be available but will be needed by people.

Its probably a good idea to get some rations that will last 20 years or so and store that too just in case.

Also transportation is important, since gasoline will be scarce then a bicycle is the best thing to have. Make sure you have extra inner tubes and a pump. Things can go bad out there after a nuclear war.

Well first of all, you can live in paranoia and try to collect all kind what you think is necessary for world war. But lets be honest here, maybe only war veterans can be prepared for war, because they lived it and know what its like. For people like me, who didn't experience the war ( and hope i never will) there is no way that i can be absolutely prepared for world war. Even if you stuckpile food, water and medicine there will always be people who would kill you with out mercy. So at the end you can be dead, or live and start from scraps.

So you need to fly away and look for new planets in order to live there. There is no other way out, because the war will destroy all good things on this planet

Also in the media, they try to show only bad information in order to mislead and mislead people from a good path. But already many people are beginning to realize that they are doing poorly and are on the right path, the good in the world is getting bigger every day.

Don't get so caught up in the doomsday aspect of World War 3. Theoretically World War 3 is a violent war where nukes obliterate the entire planet. In practicality World War 3 would be a heightened political tension over various societal issues. We don't live in a world where WW3 is possible anymore. The cold war made that very clear. We'd probably fight proxy wars (like Vietnam) and it'd go on for decades.

The best thing you can do to survive World War III? Have good savings and don't succumb to the war effort. WW3 would probably put us in another depression so that's something to look out for.

It seems to me that many people are not allowed to know. To avoid general panic, authorities avoid telling their citizens about many risks and many dangers. I don't quite agree with you. If you pass survival courses you will have more chances to survive. In the army, always young and inexperienced fighters try to stay close to the experienced fighters. It always gives them a better chance. But fate of course was not fooled.

There will be places on earth which could be livable, well that depends, but probably there will be. If nuclear war happen, most of Earth would be destroyed and not livable , but there isn't enough bombs to cover every part of Earth so...

I'm sure that in case of war, your advice will not help. To verify this you can go to North Korea. You still have time, but you need to hurry. It is impossible to be prepared for any eventuality. Even in peacetime, your plans can be impossible if you just not in the morning, started the car, and you want to be ready for war.

There is no any perfect solution but you have to live like a maker. Your abilities will be improve and your chance will be higher.

I agree with you. Sechschas each of us is sitting in a comfortable chair at the computer and talking about what has no idea. In a real war, everything will be different.

While you can do something to prepare yourself, you will also need some luck so you can reach whatever place you have your supplies before that happens, but the most important thing is to not tell anyone what you are doing or you are going to become a target.

It seems to me that if something terrible starts on the planet Earth, then there will be nowhere to run. Even the war will not have to. Direct rulers will avoid direct conflicts, but a bomb will throw a bomb or a missile will launch. And the destruction will be appropriate.

I recently read an article on how best to survive in a nuclear explosion because the next world war will definitely be a nuclear war, Its advisable to build a cement building because its hard for radiation from a nuclear bomb fallout to penetrate them. I also advise you stock that place fully with food and water and entertainment for at least a year or two.

Otherwise, research what type of stuff you could easily plant and cultivate in your area. Then buy a lot of seeds and stash them away somewhere accessible and safe. Then just go on with your everyday life. If WW3 really happened we'd most likely get wiped out so quickly that you wouldn't even have to worry about the aftermath though. Sign up for Mars.

If you're so worried about World War 3 you should move out of Europe or to a country/area where you think the bombs will not fall. I think the safest bets are Australia, New Zealand, or maybe South America.

If you're planning on participating in the war, then you should stock up on ammo and guns.

I think the closest war that can happen is only a Cold War wherein it might appear that we are having a war because of the weapons prepared to fire at each other at any given command but as long as there's no party triggering it to happen, it wont happen.

Not sure if anyone can truly prepare for WW3, but perhaps you can start by preparing the basement of your house (assuming you have one) as a bunker.  Have plenty of water, can foods, duck tapes, gas masks, batteries, flashlights, candles, guns, ammos, portable generator, battery operated ventilation fan, knives, books, battery operated DVD player, gameboy / game console...and shovels.

To survive in World War 3, get enough supplies. As the war goes on supplies will become harder to get, and may become for soldiers instead. So once you know a war is coming, go out and buy as much food and clothing as you can. Also, make sure you have tools and consumables for repairs. Try to have boxes of stuff organized. Nails in one box, scissors, socks,  food etc. Also, consider what you will do if you run out of money or money loses it value. Consider having some assets you can trade. Cigarettes were used in pow camps in World War 2. Try to even have some extra jewelry you are willing to sell in case a war happens. Remember; make sure it is hidden in such an event.
