Since the split of ebay and paypal, buyers have been looking forward to more payment choices. I wonder if bitcoin is one of the considerations. Amazon buyers with bitcoins have been using purse.io to get cheaper goods. I wonder how the implementation of bitcoin payment is going to impact the prices of bitcoins. Unless they are going to use some sort of escrow service, which I do not think to many sellers would be willing to use, they will not put Bitcoin into place. This is just my opinion.

im a regular customer of over 5k per month, so its gets kind of frustrating cashing btc into fiat, then fiat to paypal, id rather just pay directly with bitcoin. This will cancel out the selling pressure if Amazon doesn't hold the bitcoins. Of course, it's also possible that Amazon begins to use bitcoin with its vendors once it starts accepting it. This would also reduce the selling pressure on bitcoin, as it circulates more in the supply chain. Dell and Microsoft accepted bitcoins in the past for a short period. Why did they stop accepting bitcoins? It could be a case study of adoptability of bitcoins. What I think we need is for BTC to be accepted at wholesalers and factories so that an item on Amazon sold for bitcoin can be restocked for bitcoin. That could possibly remove the hardship caused to workers by the fluctuating $ used by wholesalers in legal agreements with productive countries. Unless they are going to use some sort of escrow service, which I do not think to many sellers would be willing to use, they will not put Bitcoin into place. This is just my opinion. The whole world will not be using only one standard currency bitcoin either soon or later. That is quite big optimistic. The main draw back in bitcoin for using it as a standard currency is governments can't track the transactions and they can't put the taxes for these transaction so surely they will not allow to become a standard currency. What many of users here think it's an advantage of BTC, it's actually huge cons on adoptability.
Refunds can be sorted out on site (eBay can act as a temporary escrow per transaction) I guess. Anonymity is the bigger issue because even if you make someone register, the company can't really trust where the money came from compared to PayPal, CCs or bank accounts.
