Title: WARNING: Coffee is Dangerously Addictive
Post by: notbatman on January 02, 2016, 01:23:09 AM
48 hours without any joe and my head was ready to explode with tension you could cut with a knife. I'm currently sipping on jet black americano style with no sugar; it's sweet and my headache is gone.

Caffeine Addiction Is a Mental Disorder, Doctors Say

Question: What do heroin addicts who receive a daily dose of methadone have in common with people who feel they cannot function without that morning cup of caffeine?

Answer: They are tending to their addiction—keeping the physical devils of drug withdrawal at bay.

"Studies have demonstrated that people who take in a minimum of 100 mg of caffeine per day (about the amount in one cup of coffee) can acquire a physical dependence that would trigger withdrawal symptoms that include headaches, muscle pain and stiffness, lethargy, nausea, vomiting, depressed mood, and marked irritability.[3] Professor Roland Griffiths, a professor of neurology at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore strongly believes that caffeine withdrawal should be classified as a psychological disorder."

Everyone is on something..

The getting wired jittery & sweaty part of it can get bad.
Many people drink it 24/7 i used to be that way for a lot of years.

I try and avoid it now if i can or at least from how many sources.
A can of Coke or Pepsi has a lot too.. that shit is everywhere !

Oh and you forgot to format this topic as a simple option A / B topic for the account farmers.
Such as.. WARNING: Coffee -or- Addictive ?
Do it better next time so guys can pad up their forum post counts ;)

IE:
- Coke or Pepsi
- money or fuck
- Shoot up heroin or club seals
- Dogs or Cats
- MCdonalds or Burger King
- Kitten in Blender or Bag of Puppies in a lake.
- Cars or Bikes
- Anal rape by a Dog or Read any more account farmer gibberish.

I did one of those medical studies years ago and forgot to wean myself off caffeine before it started (iced tea and pepsi mostly) and got a scorching headache from the caffeine withdrawal.  For about six hours I was never far away from a garbage can because I thought I was going to hurl.  It finally went away, but I keep the caffeine intake pretty low now and generally don't get a headache from my insignificant caffeine consumption.  I guess when you withdraw from anything (drugs, nicotine etc) the same thing happens.

You've definitely overdosed if you're getting headaches or are feeling ill from going off it a couple of days, people forget that Caffeine, Alchohol and Tobacco are all drugs like any other, you have to use them in moderation, had the same experience myself awhile back and now I've limited myself to two coffee's a day as my absolutely maximum so if I ever go off it, it's not a problem.

Exactly.

I had the same issue with energy drinks. I use to drink 2 to 3 days a day. I finally got off of them and I thought my head was going to explode or my skull was going to cave in.

If you are drinking a regular amount it's pretty addictive and that's well known, You would need that amount at the time or your head will hurt, it's better to avoid it if you can.

Smoking used to be medicine.
In the old days Doctors would come by your house with an aenima kit..
then they would pull out an attachment and tube hooked up to an airbag etc.
Shove it in your asshole and then they would blow cigarette smoke up your ass.

This thread is very misleading. I've been drinking coffee for decades and am here to tell you that I'm not addicted to it. In fact, I can quit drinking coffee at anytime, just like when I almost quit masturbating. On the other hand, giving oneself eggnog enemas is addictive. I don't know how to quit thee.  :'( :'( :'(

That sounds like fun  ;D

PS:
In case you guys thought i was joking earlier i screen capped the kit.
Barry just finished showing the attachment where you put the tobacco in and then they panned over to the kit..
And yeah you can put Coffee in your South-Mouth too ..lots of people have done it.

I always wait for people to say ohh Spoetnik your so crazy with your lying stories.. all ready to post proof LOL

So with out further ado here is your vintage Tobacco enema kit..
(Note: the brown wood thing in the bottom left is where tobacco goes)

http://i67.tinypic.com/314a5ud.jpg

Where do think the phrase "Blow smoke up your ass" came from ;)

There is always more Crazy pent up in my maniacal mind too eh guys.
This all reminds me off getting some kid when i was young to snort Tea..
I told him if you break the bag open and snort it you will get high.. he believed me ROFL
He ended up telling his Mom and that kid was not allowed to play with Spoetnik anymore hahahha

Around the same time i got a couple people smoking Oregano ..no i did not tell them it was pot either.
And back then with the same neighborhood kids i got them snorting Tide with Bleach Laundry detergent.
I convinced them it got them super high & shit and i even snorted a bit with them to convince them i was not joking.

Ok so i got off track a bit.. what i wanted to allude to here is.. have any of you SNORTED Coffee before ?

EDIT:

It is addictive and will lose effect if you take too much, so you will only drink in order to don't feel bad and with no positive effects.

If you wanna use it, cycle or use only when really needed

I have coffee addiction cycles.  Sometimes I'll go months without it and get very little awake/alert time, others I'll have 3+ cups a day and get tons of stuff done.  Having to cut back now to 2 cups a day max and it sucks..

That English tea tightens my throat, think it must be a allergy or something to it. Drank a lot of green tea once, till I read it thins the blood or something like that. Was a well ago so my memory fails me.

You guys recall that whole caveman coffee or bulletproof coffee movement!
Going on about the molds on the coffee beans and they have a superior bean.
Makes me wonder if there is so much mold on these beans, what are they using for the lab studies that keep reporting benefits or one or two cups a day.

Find in the morning a cup and a half is my limit, after that its like I drank liquid speed.

How much coffee is enough coffee?
Up to around 400 milligrams of caffeine is the limit for most adults. That's roughly 4 cups of coffee (however this can vary a lot depending on the kind of coffee && size of serving).

What harm can be done by one cup of coffee early morning?
None. Coffee is actually healthy and has many benefits if you don't overdo it (starting from increasing your energy to making you smarter (improves various areas such as memory, reaction time)).

OP is overreacting and drawing to conclusion based on a small sample of data. I have never felt addicted to coffee and have drank an uneven amount of cups per day throughout my life.

Caffeen has been proven to have some addictive qualities. However, anything you have on the daily could cause your body to feel like it NEEDS it, so going a day or two without it will cause some side affects like anxiety. Coffee just so happens to be one of the most popular, daily consumed items.

Every addiction is mental i think?..
There is no concrete evidence of this at this time I believe. What addictions do is alter the brain and change it's natural structure for desires. Additionally a lot of people who are addicted to something tend to get diagnosed with a mental disease. There is surely a connection.

I agree with you coffee and tea both have a addictive drinks'
Tea is addictive? Strange.

That does make sense indeed. These side affects are tolerable and are nothing compared to when you don't drink/smoke/do drugs in the same time period (assuming the same level of addiction).

Yeah, anything can be addictive, if not physically then mentally. I have been drinking coffee for longer than I can remember but I feel like I am not addicted to it. During normal working day at the office I can drink 3-5 cups during the 8 hours. On my off days though, I drink hardly at all. Maybe one cup in the morning if I have slow morning and good breakfast without much planned. Most of the time I don't drink any cups during the off days.

Soft drinks are also addictive.  I used to drink several cans of Dr. Pepper every day.  When I decided to stop, I got bad headaches.  It was probably the caffeine.  I just drink one every once in a while now and I can feel the effect of the caffeine now when I drink it.

Both coffee and tea have some addictive ingriedients (caffeine and theanine). If you drink it too much your body just get used to this ingridients and lack of them could cause some problems like headache or similira. This is nothing new. Besieds caffeine is used in painkillers, so if you head is feeling better after drinking a coffee you know why.

Drinking coffee can also irritate the lining of the small intestine,
potentially leading to abdominal spasms, cramps and elimination problems,
often alternating between constipation and diarrhea.
This condition is known as irritable bowel syndrome and more and more

I enjoy coffee but I am not addicted to it.

Everyone is different. Your body handles things differently compared to the next guy.
If someone told me to stop drinking coffee for whatever reason I could no problem.

I actually find it to be more of a downer than a upper.

I enjoy coffee but I am not addicted to it.
Me too!
Many time i was quit drinking coffee, and i didn't notice extreme reactions as i had when i was quitting cigars.
One thing is certain when i need to drive more than 2 hours coffee is needed to pull up my concentration, this way coffee helps us in real life problems.
So i believe coffee have more good sides..

Caffeine consumption may raise blood pressure. Especially in those already suffering from hypertension and those who don’t normally consume caffeine. People with hypertension were given 250 mg of caffeine (about 2 coffees) and the data revealed that their blood pressure was elevated for about 2-3 hours after the caffeine. A second study performed by The Mayo Clinic found similar results from a 160 mg dose. All participants experienced a marked rise in blood pressure and it was the most pronounced in those that didn’t normally consume caffeine

There is no disputing the fact that coffee "addiction" is not as intense or dangerous as drug addictions. You may feel "addicted" or dependent on it and it can be dangerous to overdo it. You can experiment and see how you feel with and without low to moderate amounts of caffeine. Some people do not feel anything when they consume caffeine and others don't feel anything when they stop consuming it.

I don't know. Truth be known, it probably doesn't do anything. They just want you to be really careful about what you put in your body. I would think that a little caffeine would not hurt the baby. Not a lot though. Maybe a glass of tea or a soda now and then. You know how the medical people are, one day they say this will kill us and then the next, it won't. THEY DON'T KNOW. I say just drink some'n now and then. Maybe wait until AFTER your first trimester. You don't want to take any chances with the first little bit of your baby's life

That's common knowledge IMO, coffee isn't like tea at all in the part it's highly addictive and more addictive than tea or all the like.

Addiction is a bad habit overall, Everything is dangerous when you over use it or require it in an addiction-like base, if you used once in a while I think it will be a big problem.

Well of course it is but I don't feel is rather dangerous in general. It's just what we adults have in the morning ing to make sure we don't fall asleep severely.
