Hello boys and girls and people on bitcoin talk. I would like to announce I am running for moderator of the off topic subforum.
I am the author of some classic posts on this website, both known for my creativity, and even more so my stupidity.

I have already received over .01% of the vote in the primaries, and am building support slowly but surely.

• I work from home and have a pretty good amount of time to moderate
• I am a college educated gamer
• I was a moderator on solidcointalk (lmao)
• I have a pretty good understanding of the rules on this site
• I am very good at reading, but sometimes I am bad at typing
• Im the only candidate running, so that means im the best one running
• I have been playing runescape long enough to know when someone is scamming
• I am a fair listener, and have been a trusted trader on this site for a while now
• I've been on this site for a long time (pre litecoin)

If this thread had any kind of seriousness about it then that just removed it. If you can't handle even the slightest bit of negative feedback then why should anyone vote for you for anything?

Listen buddy I'm a stand up kind of guy, and I stand for one thing, and that's original offtopic posts. If you're going to talk smack about my gifs be more creative than saying a meme. I'm about ready to knock the two of you into each other if you dont settle down. I am 100% serious in running for the moderator. It's a troll thread relating to the presidential elections coming up for next year

Listen pal, not sure what you have against me but I am being very serious here. I just am talking about the election because its a current event. This is in no way a "troll" thread. Why would I start a troll thread in a board I want to prevent troll threads(at least boring ones) from existing in?

I'm not against any memes being posted, I am against small unoriginal posts in general. Low quality repetitive posts are useless and just serve to fill a thread with garbage (and up your post count for signature adverts..)

 A meme in itself is a repeated phrase, just posting a meme is a very boring, unoriginal post. I have no problem with people posting whatever they want, as long as its somewhat original. I think the off topic board should serve as a place for original discussion, not just a place to yell memes at people.

and besides, the only reason this was brought up is because the first post on this thread was someone making a boring post. I dont think anyone isnt entitled to their opinion. Even if I agree with someone if they are just posting garbage I don't really care about it.

Considering there is no election and people aren't voted in as mods this is a troll thread and a very bad one at that.

I'm not sure how to prove to you I am 100% serious, but feel free to think I am "trolling" if you want. I know people aren't voted in to be mods, but I still think this board needs one and I would like to be the moderator. This is how the moderators for the alt-coin forum where selected as well.

how will you post a thread a run a campaign to be a moderator. if that is as simple as it gets , i am voting for you. is there a specific thing i have to do, or a vouch post is more than enough  :)

They think it's easy but it's harder than it looks.

I supported BitcoinEXpress when he said he would be a moderator for the Altcoin section.
I had said i think he would be fair and would support me as quick as he would kick my ass.

I think there is some kind of misunderstanding here, and there's no reason to be rude. I think a big part of the culture of this board is that anyone that disagrees or whatever is stupid, which usually isn't the case. I'm willing to hear out complaints but when you are just going to insult me - that is when I think you are being rude.


I am legally an adult, which is why I mentioned it. I'm not lying about anything.

Just because you personally wouldn't like to be a moderator, or because you know immature adults doesn't mean it applies to me.

I do agree though, when I was younger I did end up not finishing a bunch of game projects or example. But now I can finish a full videogame in a weekend with a pal. Not that game creation has much to do with moderation, but I know how to handle a project. But moderation isn't so much a project as it is an ongoing duty.

My comment was an example of something that was rude, not intended to actually try and insult someone. If that was my intent I would have simply just posted only that instead of showing a comparison between the two.

If anyone should be offended it should be the generator site you used to make that gif and it does look like crap.

Anywho, from this thread alone you've shown that you can't handle negative feedback from folks so you most likely wouldn't be able to handle someone telling you to go fuck yourself in threads or pm when you move/delete/lock threads.

Playing Runescape doesn't give you the ability to detect scams. I've played Runescape off and on since 2001 and the only scams you can detect is 'doubling gold!!!' and 'visit this site for free membership!!' which the first is simply taking gold and running while the second is using a fake website to steal login information (phishing).

I'm fine with negative feedback, but this has just been dragging on about something as silly as a gif, cmon buddy. That gif is cool. Maybe we can compromise and put up a gif that you like too.

There's way more scams than that in runescape, armor trimming, tricking people to go out into the wildy and then killing them, the list goes on. Runescape is an exercise in the art of the scam. I brought it up because I legitimately think that there are more scammers in runescape than on this website, which really says a lot.

*cough cough cough* as the moderator of that alt coin board of which you are speaking of, Theymos asked me if I wanted to be the moderator (actually I might have asked him at the time) and then a thread asking for people's opinions was created to make sure everyone was alright with me. On another side note, this Mushboi has been implying threats toward my shoes should I not give him my vote of confidence. If anything happens to them now that this information is public, we will hold you accountable.

I think my success rate is around 60%? honestly cant remember where to check that. Most of the time I go to report stuff, I'm browsing logged off then when I get around to logging in its already been taken care of

Ive been a moderator on a few places, solidcointalk (lol), a few private servers when i was younger that have died out now. I've helped run a few projects for my art collective as well. Also, I usually help run events I do art for/with. Mostly music composition contests and stuff like that. But most people there are well behaved and I dont do anything other than let people know if there are spambots there, etc.


Just because I happen to ask salty spitoon, my pal, about when he keeps his door locked during the day, and where he keeps his shoes - and then suggest he checks out my thread, does not mean I would ever do anything to his beautiful jordans. I respect the shoe game.

I never had to ban anyone once.. it's all in how you handle people.

Not only that, but we have no idea why you're so fervently attacking Mush- are you envious of his formidable height?  Also, multiple people have come forward admitting real-life relations, and he has a relatively long history on btctalk and pretty significant web presence- this brings into question your accusation that his identity is uncertain. If anything you've failed the test as a forum member- his responses have either been suitably lighthearted (banning gifshaming? you think that's for real?) or measured and reasonable (meme spam and repetitive content will take their toll on any forum). It seems that you personally don't care for his responses- which is fine of course, but you could at least go through the effort of articulating them properly, maybe even suggesting an alternate candidate.

Mush has a long history of classic topics, both as OP and subscriber. You might recall the mace peanuts of late 2011, or the custom potato chip business he briefly operated with SaltySpitoon. If you haven't seen them, you most likely haven't actually looked. Call him a stranger all you want, but anyone can click on "Recent posts by this member" or use the search bar. It seems like you expect Mush to include an entire topic in quotes in his resume- hardly a rational expectation.
