Does anyone want to take bets on whether the sale actually goes as planned this time?

I'm 100% sure they didn't get the money for the parts before CNY :D  I remember that was their big batch #2 push.

so do you have to create an account to make an order?  why isn't there an option to do this in the store?

do you have to have a Wordpress account and who will be the payment processor?  if its Bitpay or WalletBit, do you have to have and account with them also?

Lots of threads on this, still no confirmation on if able to order with a credit card accepting payment service?

No you do not have to create an account. You can fill out the information and submit the order. This will then send you to Walletbit for payment. Sent BTC as a guest. This will give you an address to send the amount of BTC too. Once you sent payment wait a couple mins and you will receive a confirmation email from both Walletbit AND Avalon Asic. This has been tested and confirmed by myself.

No you cannot order with any credit card service. Avalon accepts Bitcoin and Bitcoin only as currency.

If you like you can use Bitinstant to transfer money from a store to mtgox and buy Bitcoin. Money Transfers take about 30-45 minutes in most cases.

Does one need to have a Walletbit account and the bitcoins in said account in order to be able to make a purchase?

Thanks. One more question - any idea how much shipping costs? Is it included in the unit price or is it extra? While at it, were there any other fees when you guys ordered the first time in the second batch?

In batch #1 unit and shipping were splitted. Batch #2 price include shipping costs.

Ok, another question - If I send the money to my WalletBit account, when the time comes and ordering opens on the store can I pay straight from Walletbit somehow? Are there any advantages to doing so (faster payment, confirmation or whatever)? Or is it just the same as paying as a guest?

Title: Re: Avalon batch#2 Re-open 2/18

there's no real benefit.

Title: Re: Avalon batch#2 Re-open 2/18
Post by: Beepbop on February 18, 2013, 12:32:09 PM
In case of technical issues arising again though, I think WalletBit prefers if you send the money from a bitcoin address that you also can receive money to. At least that's what they preferred last time, since it would make less manual work for refunding partial payments.

I wouldn't deposit BTC to WalletBit though - they take a percentage fee from it.

As for the avalon store, it takes a WordPress account, so registering before ordering is recommended (by me at least) ;D

Edit: Link for registering: http://store.avalon-asics.com/wordpress/wp-login.php?action=register

(I have no affailiation with any ASIC manufacturer.)

tempted to attempt a purchase from batch 2.1 solely to see what comes first,

a shipment from avalon (when very few confirmed shipments have appeared, from batch 1 shipping, like a month ago?)

or shipment from bfl (who hasn't even built the device yet, and no idea when my order from early feb might arrive, if ever?)

- meh, if I'm expecting the price of bitcoin to correct back down to around $15-20, then it's not that bad of a gamble? like 50 or 60 btc?

I'm thinking I'm gonna order one just to see how the race finishes  ;D -- though judging from the last preorder fiasco, I probably won't even get my order in, and all of this is moot...

let the chaos begin!

I tried adding to cart, but I get "You cannot add that product to the cart since the product is out of stock."

It's sold out 60 seconds after reopen?

EDIT: it was 334 in stock, now is 330, but still I can't add to cart.

That happens when you are signed into walletbit.  Last time around there was no (obvious) way to pay from your own wallet.  If you sign-out and checkout again then  you should get the option to pay from your own wallet.  Bad interface.

Sign in to the avalon store (or you will see other people's shopping carts again). Do not sign in to walletbit. Right?

Ditto.

My workaround:  log out of walletbit account, and pay as guest

Not sure, I created a Avalon ASIC Store account beforehand but I don't know if it's required. I created a walletbit account but did not sign-in since I see no way to pay from my own wallet if I do that.

I'm able to order but am .11xxxx btc short!  It amounts to like three dollars!  What a joke.  I spent too many BTC before this.  I'll watch the clock tick down and wonder what it would have been like to see the inside of an ASIC box.  Ce la vie!

On the walletbit checkout page, there was a countdown timer (about 7 minutes).  That must be for their UI since the bitcoin transaction won't confirm in that time.  Last time around it seemed liked they gave you a long time to complete your payment.  That was a gigantic cock-up though so maybe it will work differently this time.

walletbit is down again. I have paid the coin to the address but have not received the confirming email as days ago. And the page lead me back to the check out page again. So I guess today Avalon will receive bitcoins more than 300 units.

got a problem.  was able to get an address to send to from WalletBit.  sent full payment to said address apparently successfully but checkout cart, in WalletBit, got stuck at that point in thinking mode.

after waiting about 7 min, i got kicked back one window to the checkout cart and got a notice that my order failed.  coins are already gone and i'm waiting for confirmations from the network.  never got a success message from WalletBit.  never got a confirmation email sent from Avalon or WalletBit.

Who has the lowest for the second round of batch #2?

yours much lower than mine,

Description   Amount
Order #1597 - Avalon ASIC Unit x 1   56.82106592 (USD 1,500.00)
Item total   56.82106592

tx: d17b74bd7508545adb19f58f1e9b545550c84d685df1270f5deb87a5cd615c7e

??

I clicked the link it gave, but it showed an error saying my wallet was already opened, so I just sent payment to the address it showed me...

I hope this worked, it's kinda exciting/scary to just randomly throw bitcoins around though, I felt much more secure about my credit card purchase from "that other ASIC company"

Well, I just ordered 4 units, but it didn't go smoothly so far.

I created an account on Avalon's page, entered all my details, added 4 units to the cart and then headed to check-out.

Once there, the timer started counting down. I checked out as a guest (no walletbit account).

The timer continued counting down regardless, even after I sent the coins. The clock hit zero, returned me to the Avalon cart, and a message at the top said "Your order was cancelled."

Nice. I'm going to be pissed if I just lost 227 bitcoins into the void.

For the record, I was order #1561.

Anyone else have this experience?

Since a few people on Freenode also had issues.. mostly they hit a timeout on sending bitcoins because walletbit timed out.. I suggest anyone that sent payment to http://support.walletbit.com for confirmations. They have been very responsive to any issues with their software.

Anyone else have this experience?

same, no email confirmation yet

*edit* just received email confirmation from walletbit - all info looks correct, but they added a Batch number: 18520 - don't know what that means?

wtf?

The same thing happened to me, I added 1 unit to the shopping cart and got the same exact message. I think demand for these units is so high that it literally sold out in a few seconds :)

Ordered paid, after the 10 minutes were up I was relayed to a thank you page, then hit return to Avalon Asic, which led me to another thanks page on the Avalon site. Order was pending, but received receipt mail from Walletbit shortly after and 20 seconds after that a confirmation from Avalon. Order was changed from "pending" to "processing". Received a second email from Walletbit with the same receipt.

So, until now:

Order number 2241

Receipt from Walletbit: yes, twice
Confirmation from Avalon: yes

Order status: Processing (upgraded from "Pending")

Order #1125 (Hey! I think this is the lowest number one posted here, yet. :D)

Got two identical receipt emails from Walletbit (lol) and I've both created a helpdesk ticket with Avalon and emailed Walletbit and Avalon with all documentation showing that my payment was within the time alloted, and asking that my order not be rebuffed (because Avalon lists it as "canceled").

Walletbit responded to my support request email!

Quote
We are are of this issue. If you paid your then your order was successful despite it saying cancelled. We will be following up with confirmation emails shortly.

Sincerely,
Adam

So this bodes well for us "order shown as canceled" avalon customers, or possibly for the lowest numbered ones in case they allowed more people to pay than they had units to offer. :Q__

(I would have posted all this a good half an hour ago too, if it wasn't for the meddling newbie posting limits ;P)

I started trying to order at 6:00 am PST an hour ago and still have not been able to place an order after multiple attempts. The furthest I got was entering the shipping information only to be greeted with a various errors. And why the the number of units in the shopping cart keep changing to some random number between 0 and 20 when all I am looking for is one unit. I am not going to be holding my horses after this fiasco.

Update, after an hour and a half with 0 confirmations on my btc transaction, I now have 2/6, and my order has been changed to "processing"

-still no email from avalon

that's odd, the action of pending->processing and email confirmation happens at the same step, check spam? if not I can resend if you PM me your order ID.
confirmed, happened that way for me

It seems they can be ordered again, 100-something in stock. I also had 2 orders I had to cancel the first time around (I was logged in to Walletbit and missed the option to pay as a guest; got stuck at the secure card thing and then when Walletbit said I didn't have enough balance). Now they were showing as "pending", probably Yifu changed them wholesale. Since at my third try the order went thru and I have it on "processing", I canceled the first two again. Just wanted to say sorry if this messed up your tally, guys.

Order 1525 still waiting on confirmation from Avalon.
Now that there are units back on sale I guess I am ok?
But no indication from Avalon. 4+ confirmations from WalletBit.

BTC payment status? If it/they went thru (to cover all three) then you should be fine, you should see status change to Processing soon and receive Avalon email about the same time

I created an account on walletbit, only to find out that I must be logged off in order to pay. Otherwise it would ask me for some "secure card" which I obviously don't have. And I couldn't even disable this secure card in account settings (and it's enabled by default).

EDIT: but since I was logged off, I have no idea how walletbit knew where to send the order confirmation.

They pass your details along with how much you must pay. Some don't like this, but it sure helps in case there's a mess-up with the ordering process. Also Walletbit is in the EU so it has to comply with its anti-whitewashing and anti-terrorfunding regulations. They must have your name.

It will sell, but even if it didn't they'd just make the number that's been ordered. Avalon has said that they're strictly build-to-order. In other words, they're not like Walmart. They're like a company that Walmart orders 3000 pickaxes from; they don't buy the wood and steel for the pickaxes until Walmart has made the order. Walmart has to take the risk that the pickaxes won't sell, and they'll have to take care of warehousing costs. Inventory is a major concern in modern commerce - often you'll have large assets tied up in inventory that may go unsold, or at least has to be insured, guarded from burglary and fire, storage space rent paid, etc.

Do anyone have answers to these questions:

- If a unit is damaged in transit and as a result of that or something is DOA, can it be exchanged for a new unit ?
- What if a unit just stops working after a couple weeks or months, is there any kind of guarantee offered?
- Is there insurance for shipping ?

Even though it wouldn't be all that profitable once arriving, it would still be interesting to own one. I could not however find
answers to my questions on their webpage.

I do not believe any return/warranty has been stated with batch #2.  If anyone has one for batch #2 they should post it so it's saved for the future.  Buyer beware.  Might want to also check how much it will cost you to ship 15kg to China, cause if there's a problem you'll at least be out that.

Haha - good point! :)

Here's the fine print, copied from their check out:

Quote
Read this first before considering purchasing batch #2 Avalon ASIC.

The no bullshit, no fine print terms of sale

We Accept Bitcoin Only – Bitcoin allow us to collect large sum of assets in a short period of time, and due their nature the bitcoins can also be move to where they are suppose to go in a similar time frame. We are aware this will introduce Import issues for certain EU and SA countries. Avalon ASIC hope re-sellers will take this opportunity to grow and take care of this problem.

No Refunds - The Avalon units are made on a built-to-order basis. This means when you place an order, your bitcoins are used to order parts to construct your Avalon Unit. Refunds therefore are impossible. Utilizing a short time frame, batch based, and built-to-order method allows to manage finances properly and reduce risk for all parties. e.g. Avalon ASIC, the re-sellers and the buyers.

Limited Customer Support - The Avalon team is comprised of a small group of capable people; however, we are also extremely limited in manpower. Every one of us handles multitude of tasks, and for this reason we will have very limited customer support. No news is good news. We apologize for this, but we do not expect this situation to change until batch three is in its production to shipping stage.

Trade-Ins - Avalon will continue to honor our old customers providing trade-in programs of old generations units, FPGA, and in the future for first generation ASIC modules. The Trade-In Orders are not part of the 600 unit limitation existing in Batch #2 and will be continue be honored until April 1st, 2013.
The Potential Risks

- Avalon ASIC will not be responsible for if a bitcoin bug is introduced rendering it useless between the period of time a batch of Avlaon units are being built.
- Avalon ASIC will not be responsible for any bitcoin price fluctuation between the time the order is placed to the time the units are delivered.
- Avalon ASIC will not be responsible for if a proper Integrated Circuit company like AMD enters the market and produce a full-custom ASIC chip. Please evaluate your mining projections properly when purchasing Avalon ASIC.

Please read this carefully, as with all things Bitcoin one should treat this as an investment and make the decision best for you based on the liquid-able funds available at the moment when placing an order.

Basically, anyone ordering, is doing a 1500 USD gamble then. Perhaps you will come out on the other end happy, perhaps you will not, perhaps one idiot will toss your package somewhere on it's path to you, or it is squeezed between a couple other big heavy objects and become broken, sorry, no returns, and no chance to do any chargebacks then. So really, if you order, then you should be ready to write off 1500 USD the moment you order.

So I don't understand... Trade-ins aren't available for this second batch, or are they? If they are I must have missed the option to have a trade-in during checkout or something, because I paid full price for the units and didn't see any possibility for a trade-in.

Herodes, it's the shipping company's responsibility to get your ASIC to you in one piece. If it's been thrown under a truck, then the shipping company has to pay for the damage. It might be hard to get them to pay for consequential damages though. If you miss a month of mining due to the damage, the shipper probably won't pay for that. You/Avalon will probably only be compensated up to the value of the item (if they chose the appropriate shipping method/insurance). Let's hope they didn't declare it as a "gift" with "value 10 bucks" when they sent it, or DHL might just give you 10 bucks in compensation for your flattened ASIC and take the aluminium for themselves ;D. (15 kg of aluminium is worth almost 30 USD on the open market.)

The "no refunds" bit is to avoid guys that order an ASIC now and chickens out because Bitcoin becomes unpopular tomorrow or something like that. Whatever Avalon says they ARE responsible for delivering to you the specified product, and that it sort of works. They are NOT responsible if tomorrow some hacker breaks the Bitcoin protocol and buys all the weed on Silk Road for himself. Avalon delivers an ASIC that mines Bitcoin. They don't deliver a machine that creates gold out of thin air.

Success
Order #2997
Transaction 5268c88176f24dcaae4e862e9ec1ad696a6915a20f1de9a7fe7042ad9b2f3b9b

Procedure
I ordered from the http://store.avalon-asics.com/?product=avalon-asic-batch-2 order page, starting at exactly 9:00 AM Eastern.
There was inventory available!  I couldn't believe my luck!

I was logged into Walletbit.
I was short of funds in my Walletbit wallet.
I kept web pages open, went on a jaunt to the bank, which is closed for the holiday, thence to the ATM, and then the MoneyGram location.
Moved funds to my Walletbit account, waited for 6 confirmations.  Worried I would be an ASIC wannabe.

I returned to the shopping card, re-activated the "proceed to checkout" button.
I did get the pesky message asking for the "Secure Card" digits.

On the Walletbit dashboard, I clicked on "three-factor" (secure card)
That took me to this page.
https://walletbit.com/businesstools/manage-account-and-personal-notifications#securecard

I both added this card to my bookmarks bar, and also printed it.

It may be a one time pad.  You read the alphanumeric at the coordinates, and type them in.  When I did that, the order went through.

Warning Tips sent to 1HWdsr5FjadLMFiaZZvS4YqXpR4aQwDTHX will only encourage me to post more stuff like this.

Hi2All,

I ordered an ASIC to AVALON. I believe I'm the first Indian to ordered an ASIC from Avalon.

My order Details and Confirmation follows:

E-Mail from WalletBit

Blockchain.info Payment confirmation

E-Mail Confirmation from AVALON

AVALON ASIC STORE Order Detail Page

If BitSyncom or a worker watches here:

A friend of mine did not get the avalon confirmation email, just the walletbit one. But he is sending an email to info@avalon-asic.com and support@walletbit.com as we speak. Is that the right correspondence email for avalon?
Did his order go through? he is almost ----> :'(

TY,

Rampone

Avalon really stepped up this time --much smoother transition from mayhem to updated order status / information / email updates.
 Thanks Avalon!

Not here yet, still feel like my coins are in limbo.
Any suggestions?
what does your Recent Orders / My Account page (Avalon store) show for Status? Does your cart show any product? Did you receive email from WalletBit?
I got the email(s) from WalletBit, my account page on Avalon shows 3 purchases in the recent orders section with status pending. One of which I paid for, the first one.

Received AVALON ASIC confirmation around 4:10pm.  Pretty long wait, but now my unit is safe.
I did somehow slip through the cracks of the manual processing they had to do.
WalletBit support was able to fix this after I opened a ticket with them.
I am not sure what would have happened if I didnt open the support ticket, better not dwell.

LOL, imagine someone tracked that tx, leading to your ip, and that someone has a friend working at that isp, and then the avalon unit just mysteriously disappeared one night..

On a serious note: Congratulations, let's hope it turns out great!

I placed, an order and it said I don't have to pay through walletbit.  Is there an address on the Avalon store I am supposed to send payment to?

When I click on Pay for order on Avalon Store it takes me to walletbit.

Try to go back to the order, then to walletbit, then "pay as guest" and see what happens.
Perhaps someone else did this and can give better detail.

Just ordered mine, back to the BTC mining game for me.

You just couldn't stay away.. :)

Nope!  It was pretty much fate in my book:

Skimming through reddit and see some link about Avalon Batch #2
Click link, see about 14 left
Research for a few minutes, refresh, <10 left
Ordered mine and now have 0.07 BTC left in my wallet

Just barely enough BTC to buy it in my wallet and finding it right before it runs out..... FATE!

The only thing I did not like is from walletbit is the stupid 0.5BTC fee. Thought their was no fees.
When you pay as guest, that fee is a transaction fee. It goes to the miners who vaildate your transaction, and a higher fee means faster transaction. I would think that is critical when buying such a scarce resource.

Are there others, that ordered today, got a confirmation email from walletbit for the payment but did not get one from Avalon, or is my friend the only hikkup?

Ive gotten mine from avalon. We both did not make a user, as we did not realize it was handled via wordpress, so he cannot check his order on the store site.

By the time I figured out to try it as a guest checkout it had gone out of stock (not sure how it removed my cart even though I had 9 minutes left).  Fuck it - it wasn't meant to be.  Three attempts to get Avalon - each a fail  ::)

I attempted to buy one unit and ran into that security card issue. Where it kicked me out after a little bit of time. I did pick one up a bit later when more inventory came online.

But the 2 orders that were canceled are now pending. Does that mean I can purchase the 2 orders now? Has anybody else experienced the same thing? Any feedback would be great!

Brian

That is unfortunate you didn't get a chance to buy one. We are working on a new checkout process that won't involve integration with WalletBit Secure Card. This should prevent any such confusion in the future. If for some reason not all 600 were sold they may be released in a smaller sale at a time of Avalon's choosing. In other words there still might be a chance. If not, maybe you are right and it just wasn't meant to be.

I read in one of the threads that Yufi (BitSyncom) was hand cancelling orders that were not paid.  PM him, BitSyncom, and give him a Bitcoin address where he can see that you have 6-confirmed funds ready to pay, and request that he change your status back to pending.  If there is another unpaid order, he can simply restore yours before he cancels that one without generating that much more chaos.

You might include a user experience report as well, to help improve the future.

I lost several hours to the "secure card" issue.  However, I eventually found out what it was, printed it out, and completed the order.
Now that I know what it is, I think that keeping the secure card, but with an obvious link on the page, e.g., your secure card here, is the way to go.

Precisely, there was no explanation that I/my colleagues could see to explain what the hell the securecard part of the payment process was at the checkout, the knowledge seemed to be assumed. We had to go back to the main walletbit site, find the info, and even when we found the securecard bit, it still didn't explain what the hell it was.

This was not helped by us frantically trying to make our order before out basket timed out.

We eventually figured it out, and the one time card idea is pretty neat.

But it was so different that it confused, and confusing is not good in a time crunch.

the checkout was great with walletbit but confusing because once you made the payment it just counts down and does nothing and no quick email reply once payment was received or some sort of confirmation would of been nice... I got lucky but not so lucky because I wasn't able to get another one due to limits on mtgox withdrawal, had enough bitcoins but no access to all of them, kinda like a bank giving you limits to your own money :(

I think he did give a REAL status. March 10th at least. Again it would make sense if they had about 300 orders the first round of batch 2. I can only speculate on the later date of April 15th as too many orders and giving a real ETA? Today I saw -19 units in stock. Could that mean another 19 units where purchased after the said "Out of Stock" notification popped up?

I have no idea when that date was thrown up there. It could have been the start of the Part 2 of the second batch order and I totally missed it.

I haven't seen the batch 1 shipment date change at all. March 1st is still there and its only Feb 20th. Though the time is coming soon. Now that CNY is over I am sure it will be a very interesting two weeks :)

Lets hope they don't change that and that they account for the 12 units shipped daily since a month ago + the 53 units sent trught "that had the best chance to make it out of china". Seeing those 300 units shipped for real would be really interesting.

What disturbed be is that the date was changed today, it wasn't there 2 days ago when I placed my order.

And yes, I'm dumb because I placed the order the very day I saw BFL inventing such a ridiculous excuse such as "it's president way, we called and they responded, but our guy there was on holiday". No news until now, ridiculous is not enough. So I think that I did the right choose with this order, but I don't like dates being pushed foward the day after I order.

So, if they ship batch 1 in time, they will have my trust again.

My math skills are certainly better than yours, that's all what I need to know not to feel dumb. Yes, I failed hard on that post about the BFL chips.

I don't regret my choice, and i never said I feel dumb. I said that I feel like i was treated, by avalon, like if I was one. Not personally, in quality of customer.

I certainly did not like that the same way I don't like your trolling.

So, Avalon ships on April 14th, 2013.. that means we probably get ours at the beginning of May. According to this chart: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0ol068iizf4/USN-rp-onoI/AAAAAAAAGXs/7UBDdEbiTHQ/s1600/9.10.chart2-2013-02-20.png

We'd get about 1 BTC a day and it goes downhill from there.

So, Avalon ships on April 14th, 2013.. that means we probably get ours at the beginning of May. According to this chart: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0ol068iizf4/USN-rp-onoI/AAAAAAAAGXs/7UBDdEbiTHQ/s1600/9.10.chart2-2013-02-20.png

We'd get about 1 BTC a day and it goes downhill from there.
An interesting way of reading that update.

How does Bowjob make the difficulty/total hashrate assumptions?

Bowjob does not make the assumptions, organofcorti does

It's a statistics model based on an ideal world where there are no fuck-ups in shipping and customs people that celebrate CNY ;-)

Nothing here yet still saying processing. Must be still dealing with batch #1 orders and making final shipping to them. I would like to see where they are upto with the first batch tho and where the first 300 units are at and who has actually got theirs. Am sure with the spikes in network power theirs more testing coming online and am sure their will be some out of that 300 solo mining as I have seen a big increase in Unknown status ie solo mining so more must be coming online and some people keeping quite about them. We can only wait and see, like myself am now waiting in batch #2 and would love to get it up and running before BFL. I would of gone to BFL but the amount of misleading emails I have had from them claiming if I order now it will be shipped out in May and many people have been waiting over a year so I cant understand how this is possible for BFL to claim will be shipped when theirs no doubt 10s of thousands of orders waiting to be sent out.

If BFL do produce a product then I will buy from them once I see people are getting their units. Until then it is Avalon who is getting my custom and I hope they provide some bigger units in the future but using less power.

Even batch one never updated past payment completed. This order will probably never say anything other than processing. If you see that you are good to go. The next update you'll probably get is a visit from the yellow or white truck of happiness or a delivery slip in a month or so.

I wonder if people who ordered will mine back those 56 BTC...

We'd get about 1 BTC a day and it goes downhill from there.

I get the feeling that there will indeed be a point where you will never get your investment back, like you might make half your investment back in the first two weeks, then half the remainder in the following two weeks, and so on.

just like if you take a step towards a wall, and your next step is half the distance between you and that wall, and your next step is half the remaining distance again, and repeat, you will never reach the wall (though you will get very close), and the changing price of the bitcoins themselves may help you recover the costs in terms of dollars, but you may never return those 56 (in my case) bitcoins that you spent in the first place...

personally, I'm hopeful that the decay rate will be less than half, and my gamble (note, I do not consider this an investment) will eventually pay off.

It sucks more from bfl investors who paid long ago. Theyd be better off holding btc

I've refrained from PMing BitSyncom because I'm sure that his inbox is most likely overloaded. Wondering if anyone else is in the same boat as me?

Placed some orders on Feb 3 at about 11AM CST (First wave Batch #2).  I have the WalletBit receipts.  I have received no updates from Avalon-Store.com regarding a order confirmation.
Placed orders on Feb 18th at about 10:50AM CST (2nd wave Batch #2).  I have Wallet Bit receipts and also received a Avalon-Store.com order confirmation.

Checking the status of my orders on Store-Avalon.com I see only Feb 18th orders.  Some show "Processing" and some show "Pending".

#1 - Should I be eventually receiving a order confirmation for the 1st wave Batch #2 orders?
#2 - Should the 1st wave Batch #2 orders from Feb 3rd be shown on the website?

It's a bit frustrating having spent the money I did and not receiving even a single email thanking me for my order.  If no email is going to to out, I would hope that at least the website would be corrected to properly show my orders.

I was, so I wrote a support request, which was handled a week later and I now have both my Feb-3 and Feb-18 orders listed. All orders show processing.

My best guess:
#1: yes, i suppose they are very busy handling orders from batch 1, and only look at batch 2 support issues now and then.
#2: yes, after #1 has been fixed

I presumed that they'd never get round to doing this, but as you seem to have had yours added to the store, I think I'll request it on my ticket as well.

You need to contact walletbit support in regards to the orders listed as "pending", get them to contact Yifu with the payment proof
and the status will be updated to "processing" (that worked for me)

According to Yifu's last post

everyone who paid should be set as "processsing", still catching up to confirmation emails at the time of writing.

Unfortunately there is no more information available, I am also missing any confirmations for batch #1 and batch #2.1 orders.

My order on feb 2nd was placed on http://store.avalon-asics.com/ and paid in full to walletbit.

There are no recent orders under my account.  ???
Walletbit trying to help out but so far no news
yifu & company won't respond

a month has gone by and I still have no idea if they have my correct shipping information.

Same, save that I ordered on the 3rd and opened a support ticket on the fourth. Not a peep from Avalon more than three weeks later.

Holy Shit! I'm flipping my shit, that I didn't get a Batch #2. Heres my story:

1. Receive email on the night of Feb 17th saying orders will re-open 9AM EST Feb 18th
2. Scramble all night trying to learn how to cash in my USD for BTC due to the Federal Bank Holiday.
3. Stay up all night.
4. Log into the store.Avalon-asics.com website @ 9:03 AM EST - it says 330 Sold. (i think WOW 170 sold in 3 minutes? Well, I may still have a chance.
5. Leave my house to try to buy some bitcoins locally.
6. Come back at 9:24 AM EST, hit F5 (the browser was already open). Now it says "SOLD OUT". Hit F5 again to make sure.
7. I say "DAMN it really is  sold out".
8. Go over to reddit, just to make doubly sure its sold out. I read this post: http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/18pemg/for_those_looking_to_buy_an_avalon_tomorrow/c8h71om

9. Give up.
10. 1 week later, I find this thread, and find out that they did not sell out until 3:30 PM EST.

What gives?

I think we can assume NO as all of the Batch #1 customers don't yet have their systems, even some in China it seems (thus no customs holds).

+1 to the question though.

Would be nice to know better information on progress through BATCH#1 and estimated shipping start for B#2.  It seems to be Avalon has been about a month behind, I mean how long did it take after Jeff got his for any other units to really start appearing?  I just wish we knew how far into B#1 are we?  50? 100? 200?  That's the deal no one really knows.

3, on the second wholesale goods a matter of time: after a few months of round the clock work. Our team needs to leave, and the need to sum up the first batch of production, processing, and improved, and wait for these improved components produced. Therefore, we will delay the second batch shipment time, in late March to early April, the second batch of orders is only a small amount of shipments, from mid-April till the end of the month, we plan to ultra-high-speed quickly completing The second installment of shipment.

So I guess batch #2 has not started shipping yet

I'm having a hard time understanding when they plan to ship the second batch as of now.

They said they will ship a few units of batch #2 at the end of March/beginning of April, and most of batch #2 units at the end of April.

Batch #3 will be probably be shipped in mid/end of May.

Hey Avalon, I received you e-mail about the news and i was excited about the possibility on batch 3..so i went to your web page to check the specs for that since i'm looking forward to buy one of your products...but when i saw the price i was impressed. 75 BTC? that's around €4500 eu. or $5850 dls. for the same units as batch 2. That's 3.9 times the price of batch #2, that obviusly will give the chance to a very small amount of buyer to take one of your mining rigs, and i'm almost sure they will be heavy miners already...so mining will become more centralized. That's too bad, because I (and i'm pretty sure many others) will not be able to afford that (i could think about spending $1500, but not 4 times that). Very sad news...

That is what many of us did, and it worked out quite well. Initial investment is big indeed, exposure is not trivial: why not to share both risks and profits with like-minded people?

Absolutely, it's brilliant. I made an investment today with another miner, I would not want to invest in a full rig myself.
