Everyone is buying; to be more specific millions of chinese are buying. If we sell we only make the value go down, not saying that you should buy or that you shouldnt spend it; but for the love of god dont sell it. I havent seen this quick of a price jump since 2014 and we all know that was cause of silk road; this is because the chinese market is shit, theres a difference so lets not sell! :D

I'm not sure what do you mean by 2008 though , since Bitcoin came to life in 2009 and I assume that Silk road came after that too.

We can not control people if they are satisfied how much the price of bitcoin today they can sell it any time they want.. We don't what will happen after block halving.. this is will be the same as before or not..  so if you sell bitcoin right you can still make a profit.. if you hold it either you can make more profit or not..

Only panic selling retards are going to start buying, specially all the weak hands that bought during the last 2013 bubble.
Let them sell and miss all the gains we are going to make when we are way past the ATH.

i don't sure if the bitcoiners whose get involved into silkroad is that much giving affect,people now stating that they're starting to hold their btc till the halving comes,and maybe because of this,mass buying by chinese was forced to buy bitcoin in higher and higher price

Interesting article, where is the deposits graphs getting its numbers? And it would also be interesting to see graphs from several exchanges pointing to times in which there was a surge in volume, interesting to compare graphs from Chinese and Western exchanges :)

Yes I know. It is not time to sell with the price going up in the last little while by so much. I think it was +$80 from the price just 48 hours ago. So it is crazy time to buy right now but what can you do if you are in need of some  :-\

Who knows if it really is a good time to buy or sell. There are people who have been holding some coin from the 400s so not a bad idea to cash out now at a huge profit. At the same time who knows if it's a good idea to buy now? It could be at the peak and drop again tomorrow. Nobody knows for sure.

I think everyone has their own price at which they will part with their coins. I am holding some for the time being while spending+immediate buy back. I do not have a sell price now (or maybe at $100,000?).

In my case, I sold some of my Bitcoins last week, where the price gone down from $590 to $570, fearing it will continue to lower down. But today, it reached $676, I should have sold them today. So I would suggest no panic selling because it is hard to predict the price. :)

Yeah i couldn't agree more with you dude that the fluctuations of bitcoin is depends from tge activities of the bitcoin user including the user sell their balance or buy some bitcoin. So if the most of bitcoin user don't sell their bitcoin you will not see the price up or down in statistics. So believe in your self with your own plan in bitcoin

Yes you can still buy things with it; some companies it may be the same as selling such as Steam and other commercial companies who just immediately sell the BTC for USD at the time of purchase. But for the most part buying things with bitcoin can be considered not the same as selling it directly for USD.

If people are selling at the moment with the price going up, they really don't deserve to even own Bitcoin. You would have to be pretty stupid to sell when the price is rising so rapidly.

if at this time the price gone down when halving is in the way, then no one will trust on it any more and so it will be harder for it to achieve the predicted value in the July when halving will occur.

Yes, I am agree with you both guys. All traders who are having panic, will not sell their bitcoins. If you don't trade what is the purpose of bitcoin price will increase. Well you can say price automatically increase when market demands, that is completely meaningless. Market will demand when people have no choice without using bitcoin. So, don't be panic, spread uses of bitcoin as much as to more people then market demand will increase automatically.

Everyone is excited about the Chinese buying up Bitcoins and the price rising but what will happen when the same people start selling? One catch of a very high price of Bitcoin is that people who have determined a value for selling their coins for a profit will start offloading their coins at that moment and the price will drop as a consequence. Expecting the Bitcoin price to rise indefinitely is not a sound theory because different people would have reached their desired profit margins and will want to sell. Only a very small part of the Bitcoin community will hold their coins forever and most of them will want to make a quick profit right now.

I wonder why would i not sell my Bitcoin? If I don't sell mine would other people not sell theirs? And if all people don't sell their BTC what will happen to BTC economy? I agree there will be a huge spike (temporary price increase) but isn't it essential to promote Bitcoin and its use?  That way BTC foundation will be stronger. Mass adoption is better than several investor hoarding BTC.  But well for profit sake this is a wise move. But after you reap your profit im sure there will be another bitcoin hater born.

Definitely. But really it all depends on what your risk appetite is. If you prefer to sell now, no one is forcing you to hold. However, I just think that the price will go up by even more before the halving comes.

Holding is now the best moment for Bitcoin now and that is because you have to know that Bitcoin will be more worth and the value is now also rising at the moment.
But it is really hard to know what is going to happen in the future with Bitcoin.

Patience pays, so if you can afford to hold your coins till the halving then it can give you higher profits, price is good now too, if you are satisfied with current price then you can sell some part of it.

Yeah it depends on at what price you bought your coins in the past, if you bought when the price was $250 then I think this is the best time to sell and grab huge profits.

I agree. We shouldn't restrict everyone from selling their coins as there are traders as well who buy and sell their coins. The price is high right now but many may fear a price drop or may have been holding their coins for over a year. There should be trades conducted to keep the price moving.

I agree with you too. In addition to that, if you got all of your bitcoins for free then don't sell now if you don't need it right away. If you need money badly right away, then sell when you want to sell.  ;D

Those who want to sell or are in need of fiat would sell their coins. It would help them to buy more with the profit they earned and it wouldn't have much affect on the price. On the contrary, I believe if everyone just holds their coins with less trades being conducted, we could see the price falling.

I've been HODLING & buying regularly since May 2014. I plan to HODL for a good while get but I do have a price range in mind to get out if/when we get there.

Why should these people not sell there coins right now if they are able to make money. I think that it is also smarter to wait for the future but you cannot blame them for selling when they can actually make a profit.

This is not a bubble, price have to go to the next level. I'm buying like a crazy, those are very cheap coins. And we will never seen those cheap coins again.

But now from the current pricing trend it is sure that the price will reach that much value in the coming month, or maybe in this month, yes it will reach to $900 in this month as every week we see about $100 or more increase in the value of bitcoin.

Rather than making up your mind of selling bitcoins BTC at the year end, you should be flexible and watch the current market and make the decision on the current market. there is a chance that price is greater at mid year and relatively low at the end of the year. So you should wisely make the decision.

Yep, this is pretty much my same strategy. Hold on to it for some few months but still monitor the market and be open to sell it if it happens to triple up.

That's true and everyone has belief that price will be on the top at halving which will allow them to earn higher profits so no one will sell at this stage and will wait for the halving.

There's no better coinfor now, let's not make it easy. There will be that time when people will try to make a coin that will compete with btc, for now it is unlikely because the price of other alt are so far compared to bitcoin which is 50 times higher than ETH(which is 2nd highest valued coin)

Bitcoin is the future currency and I don't think it will face any competition in future, it will be always on top so its better to collect as many coins possible and save for the future.

Chance of getting that result is really big but as I said if we keep thinking on the positive side we might miss that there's still a chance that a new coin will replace bitcoin or compete with it, im not degrading bitcoin because Im a big fan of it too, Im just taking all the possibilities that might happen on the future.
