Everyone is excited about the Chinese buying up Bitcoins and the price rising but what will happen when the same people start selling? One catch of a very high price of Bitcoin is that people who have determined a value for selling their coins for a profit will start offloading their coins at that moment and the price will drop as a consequence. Expecting the Bitcoin price to rise indefinitely is not a sound theory because different people would have reached their desired profit margins and will want to sell. Only a very small part of the Bitcoin community will hold their coins forever and most of them will want to make a quick profit right now.

I wonder why would i not sell my Bitcoin? If I don't sell mine would other people not sell theirs? And if all people don't sell their BTC what will happen to BTC economy? I agree there will be a huge spike (temporary price increase) but isn't it essential to promote Bitcoin and its use?  That way BTC foundation will be stronger. Mass adoption is better than several investor hoarding BTC.  But well for profit sake this is a wise move. But after you reap your profit im sure there will be another bitcoin hater born.

If we sell we only make the value go down, not saying that you should buy or that you shouldnt spend it; but for the love of god dont sell it. I havent seen this quick of a price jump since 2014 and we all know that was cause of silk road; this is because the chinese market is shit, theres a difference so lets not sell!

Definitely. But really it all depends on what your risk appetite is. If you prefer to sell now, no one is forcing you to hold. However, I just think that the price will go up by even more before the halving comes.

Holding is now the best moment for Bitcoin now and that is because you have to know that Bitcoin will be more worth and the value is now also rising at the moment.
But it is really hard to know what is going to happen in the future with Bitcoin.

I agree that you should not sell your coins right now but wait a bit longer for the price to be higher. So I suggest tha you wait for the price to be somewhere in the thousands.

I agree with you that we should probably hold our coins a bit longer and at least wait till the halving comes... To be honest, the price is probably going to go through an adjustment period after the halving and then stabilize.

Exactly, this is not the right time to sell, in fact I believe we can still afford to buy some coins at this stage and hold for the halving, and sell when it reaches to 4 digits price.

Patience pays, so if you can afford to hold your coins till the halving then it can give you higher profits, price is good now too, if you are satisfied with current price then you can sell some part of it.

Yeah it depends on at what price you bought your coins in the past, if you bought when the price was $250 then I think this is the best time to sell and grab huge profits.

I agree. We shouldn't restrict everyone from selling their coins as there are traders as well who buy and sell their coins. The price is high right now but many may fear a price drop or may have been holding their coins for over a year. There should be trades conducted to keep the price moving.

I agree with you too. In addition to that, if you got all of your bitcoins for free then don't sell now if you don't need it right away. If you need money badly right away, then sell when you want to sell.

Those who want to sell or are in need of fiat would sell their coins. It would help them to buy more with the profit they earned and it wouldn't have much affect on the price. On the contrary, I believe if everyone just holds their coins with less trades being conducted, we could see the price falling.

Why should these people not sell there coins right now if they are able to make money. I think that it is also smarter to wait for the future but you cannot blame them for selling when they can actually make a profit.

Yeah if are making profits at current price then you should surely sell your coins rather then waiting longer, as we are collecting bitcoins only to make profits.

Yes obviously we shouldn't sell them at this high moment as the price is going pretty good and little patience can make everyone happy in near future. But in my case I will be selling them soon when it hits like around $1000 to $1500.
