Since the price of Bitcoin changes a lot, so I know most of you are investing large amounts of money in Bitcoin.
But why are you doing this? to make money by selling them after a price increase? or is it just to have something to do on the internet?
And since the price can increase and decrease, you can lose this invested money, what would you do?

We are all just speculating as to how the price would be in the coming months, even years. I am also fairly new to having bitcoins and I was only able to buy when the price was somewhat idling at the $400 to $460 range. It's all about holding for me until such time that I've reached my target price. But I'm not going to sell everything, because I have plans of holding more for the long term. I view every pullback as an opportunity to buy more.

Yes i'm investing to bitcoin to do something on the internet because i don't work yet because i'm a student and also make money by selling them for a higher price than before.

If the price will be lower than the last time that i bought my bitcoin. I will not panic selling and i will just buy more bitcoin to increase my bitcoin and continue holding and hoping for price increase again. As others said "Patience is a virtue ;D".

Bitcoin is like gold of our era. It is stupid to not invest in it. You should own at least 1 BTC. Currencly bitcoin is undervalued and one day it could we worth 10x more than today's price.
Isn't it a good enough reason to invest? Anything beside bitcoin (assets, commodities, currencies) you can buy today won't give you that possibility.

Its a simple answer to earn profits from it in future, as bitcoin has great potential to give us huge profits in short term which is not possible with any other investment product.

It is like most of these people forgot the values and the initial ideas behind Bitcoin. This is truly sad to read. Stop being led on by greed already, how can you be so blind?

Where did the idea of a revolution go to? Ditching the corrupt financial system and centralized banking? The idea of a global, decentralized, censorship resistance and immutable form of global money is why Bitcoin matters. I pity anyone who can't get over their own greed and does not value these (and similar) aspects.

I don't usually sell my coins when price increases but hold and save it rather, believing that it will be more worth it in future. I invest a little money but more on time and effort in bitcoin because it is worth investing for. Bitcoin is an opportunity of earning online without limits, I mean you can do bitcoin jobs anytime and anywhere without boundaries. It's just up to you on how much time you will spend and effort you will give to earn it. Aside from that, transaction is easier and faster, with low fees. We all see it's potential, the convenience that it will give us and it's continuous improvement, so I think that's a good reason why.

What i investing in bitcoins are time and efforts
I never use my money to buy it, all of my bitcoin i get form doing job online and others
Also i never sell my bitcoin for local currency, i use it for online purpose for buying digital goods
So no matter what price is bitcoin, increase or decreas 1BTC still 1BTC

This is the way i  see i.   Bitcoin is  todays  gold and sooner or later a  gold  rush is going to come.  Better to be in now  than later when everyone realise.  I  fully expect this to happen one day but even if it doesn't im  hooked  anyways and im sure more will call the same way i  do someday. 

A lot of people want to own a part of history. Bitcoin or the Blockchain is a ground breaking technology and you can be a part of that too. A few years from now, people will think that you joking with them, if you say that you owned a whole bitcoin. ^smile^

If everything continue at the trend it's going now, Bitcoin will surely make a big impact in the global financial system.  

i see a lot of potential in bitcoins too to be honest and i know that the price of the bitcoin is going  to increase a lot pretty soon

im investing in bitcoin because its the first cryptocurrency ever. satoshi designed this currency because he believed bitcoin will turn out to be a competitor to other real life currencies. my investment is to support that claim.

because a lot of the investment program promises big profit , so I was tempted .. but many adverse investment program (SCAM) :3

Don't waste your time in ponzi or hyip you will end up loosing mate. try to learn trading it will give you nice profit but before joining learn it first.

It can give you profit for limited period but you cannot expect that forever as in future they will definitely run away with your money and you will be having a feeling of being getting cheated.

There is more then one reason in my case, I like btc from moment I started to read about it. Something new and unique that come in our lives, and can contribute so much good things in this world. Second, and not less important is earning on bitcoins, fun while we play some games in casino. Even trading make me feel like some broker, watching and following different altcoins, buying low and selling high.. i enjoy in everything connected with btc.
Cause of that I invest my time and energy in bitcoin, and for now I'm satisfied with my results until now.

No such investment gives a big profit similar to the profit got through bitcoin investment. For this reason bitcoin investment is given preference comparatively.

I am investing in Bitcoin because you can say that it helps me as an extra income and I am hoping for that something big is going to happen with in the future of Bitcoin.

Because i can myself control my money, comparing to paypal which they can anytime limit your fund and ask for many different verification, also the banks require the same and they can bankrupt and your money will gone. that not investment,just trading short term and long term. but its not bad idea to replacing invest site,collecting presale altcoin also good for some traders,they can buy with cheaper price and then sell when that coins have listed on exchange.

Honestly I will not attract for first glance when I saw bitcoin. But I just made deep research about bitcoin and it's value reach highest point , more than gold value. You are right, indeed Bitcoin value is compared to Gold nowadays and it's price is increasing highly, and we expect that it will be more valuable after the next halving.

Bitcoin has opened so many doors for people, for things that they would not have done before with other currencies. Some people have never traded on exchanges and now they trading like experts. You

also find some people who did not have the capacity to open a bank account... and now they are sending money between countries without the use of any banks and at super low fees. The Bitcoin price

are merely one aspect of Bitcoin... soon things like smart contract will become more popular and you would use Bitcoin for much more than the currency feature.  ;D

I'm investing ti make money of course.   I do invest in other things as well, like stocks and metals and some collectibles.  Bitcoin is just a part of that.  The fact that the market is very liquid is important to me.

I'm investing my time and energy into Bitcoin because it seems like an investment that can have a relatively good return on my investment in the future, and it is relatively fun to watch my balance increase and think of it almost like a sort of score that I have personally.

My goal so far is 1BTC in my wallet, so we'll see what happens and if I can get to there, but maybe I'll aim to go even further than that in the future.

I'm investing in BTC and Alts because based on my countries wealth track record this is what created a huge gap from poor to middle class to upper middle class. Most wealth is rarely just based in sitting behind a counter earning that hourly slave wage but investing a small portion of that income or any income for that matter into something that could turn into millions.

Im pretty sure that one man that purchased $10 in btc had no idea it would be worth over 2 million one day so those types of success stories rev my engine.

It could be lisk or breakout coin or rise or ethereum. I just want to be there at the beginning and be there when it takes off.

i use bitcoin as a currency too to be honest because i think that it is one of the best payment methods ever as it is really easy to make the payments to be honest

I invested to the other trusted website because i would like to get a lot of bitcoin or satoshi. But i don't know to how to find a trusted investments website because there are many investment website is scammer. So i am very scared to invest the stranger website. Because they can run my investing for that. Because i already experience that happen to me.In a few days ago. My 100,000 satoshi is gone because they are scam. 😂

Obviously when money are involved it's not just a hobby everyone wants to make profit and investing in bitcoin is one of the best options in my opinion,of course price is not stable and there is always a risk that you will lose money but if you are smart enough to buy when price is low and have some experience the chances are with you.

Bitcoin is actually a good asset to have daily, weekly or monthly trading as price keep on swinging with high volatility. Holding bitcoin and waiting for its price to get doubled, tripled etc is not good practice if you like to get profit.

But if you don't know trading than just holding bitcoin for few more years can also make you good profit as there is high speculation of more adoption of bitcoin worldwide increasing demand while as supply is getting halved after few days.

How can you guys do that? I mean how can you circulate your coin around, isn't that we only have few merchants that use to accept bitcoin and most of them are just exchange sites. I've been looking for a clothing merchant that used to accept bitcoin, you guys know even one?

i just notice my friend on social media get scammed 2 site in a row,its suck and i think the worst scammed experience,its why i think bitcoin investment on cloud mining not safe anymore.

Exactly investing into cloud is highly risk, better is to hold and buy at least a small portion regularly and keep it safe into the wallet which is the safest investment. On rise you can grab the profit.

No cloud mining can offer the same ROI as bitcoin has proven to bring the last couple of months. Bitcoin even outperformed 99% of the stocks, which is why i stay with bitcoin.

investing in bitcoin have always helped me to gain some extra money by profit so i believe in bitcoins and i believe investing in it so that is why i am investing in bitcoin and always will do ( but you need to do a little bit research before investing )

Frankly, it's really not enjoyable for me to read all those trader-type "investors" posting here about their plans to make more fiat money. These people seem not to be interested in Bitcoin as a free decentralized currency at all.

I came to Bitcoin, because I truly believe that it is a revolutionary new kind of money. Bitcoin has the potential to free us from the oppressive fiat money system. That's the reason it was invented as engraved in the genesis block. I will never sell my few coins for fiat. I love the concept of low fees and unlimited transfer money to anywhere and anytime not being forced to wait the weekend end to move or make your investement. As a ex paypal costumer I may say im saving a lot money doing almost the same things , even without the reverse option bitcoin is quite above any other payment processor.

That statement is self explanatory.If you even have a little bit idea about the market,the assets which are flexible turn out to be best investment sources.Since the price of bitcoin changes a lot,there are usually less risks involved ,even if the price falls down way below your margins,you can still hope for it to climb up again.

I'm investing because there is a huge upside to bitcoin. There's really no limit to how much it could be worth one day. Of course we have to also realize that it could never really catch on and we could lose our investment, but that's the risk we take for the potential reward.

i spend a lot of time at my laptop, by trade; where i'm from, if you wanna be involved in a type of a currency exchange market you need to do it in certain physical locations; i cant afford the time; btc removes that need, it increases my productivity, i can make even more money while making money!

Mostly of the people make Investment on bitcoin is just for trading buy low and sell hight and some people make Investment in mining and sell their bitcoin after price going up. They make Investment with counting of risk Investment, they make Investment with can lost it.

Price will go higher at halving for sure but I don't think it can achieve the price of 1000 usd in next seven days, as we haven't reached to $700 at this stage, so 1000 usd seems to be difficult to achieve.

I wouldn't be investing in Bitcoin right now, but in a few years once the next halving is coming up I might invest more due to the more-than-likely prospect of the value increasing in a similar way it did over the past few months.

Well, I think so many people are investing their money in bitcoin because they see the potential that made their fortune in bitcoin. I myself as well as them. by investing with bitcoin, so many business opportunities are open, such as trade, investment, HYIPs, Minning, and much more. also i have to say there is no such thing as freebitcoins and you are getting paid (tiny amount or big amount doesn't matter) for the work that you do, even if it is faucets or signature campaign you are doing a job to get paid so it is not free.

There is really a big potential to bitcoin and it gives equal opportunity to anyone. The reason being is that anyone can get some satoshi through faucets. If you don't have any money to buy bitcoin, you can join to online gambling sites that offer free faucet that you can actually grow to even 1 btc or more if you're lucky enough.

I see lots of college students have a huge amount of bitcoin in their assets and they get it from online faucets and growing them through playing online gambling sites that use bitcoin as their bet and mode of payout.

The opportunity is very wide for everybody. But you should always stay away fro HYIP and scammers that lurking around for targets like you. Just be very vigilant.

i believe the reason why people investing in bitcoin because they believe bitcoin have good future,on price and development,its hwy people not afraid to put so much money for gain profit and make money.

Not always be profitable. If the prices get again so low like previously months, so all the investors will be in loss. But it is also a part of it. But investing is maybe good than others. I think its a safest method for me to earn bitcoins. Others like gambling etc. are too risky to attain. That's why I always invest money for earning. I also play gambling but not too much. :)

My suggestion is not to invest  right now this time is not the right time to invest many ponzi close.but I have available in trading.  I hold it now the available bitcoin I have  make sure that I still have bitcoin if halving start.

If btc become very expensive one day, that will be my monthly salary for the rest of my life. But seriously, you will not find another asset with the same ease of investment, nor this volatility. It's like stocks on steroids. Also, the government isn't generally aware of my investment, which is absolutely amazing for tax considerations. Trading an SEC regulated asset requires alot of KYC and account minimums.

If you are actively keeping watch on price movements then you can earn profits on timely basis as price keeps on moving up and down which attracts many new investors to invest in it.

I don't even know any other answer. I mean, everyone's investing in something because we're all expecting the price to increase in order to make profits, hence he investments.
Bitcoin is just like stocks where the value either goes up or goes down and I just really like the volatility of bitcoins's value because it's easy for us traders to make profit out of it.

I think it is the best investment product at a moment and it can give higher ROI in future in compare to other products and you can also make quick money from it.

I made my initial "investments" in bitcoin when the price was in the $7 - $14 range. I've since made more investments in bitcoin at various other higher prices as well. The reason why I made those investments in bitcoin can be easily answered by looking at the current price of bitcoin. I am still buying bitcoin today at certain price points. Hopefully in 5-10 years from now I will be able to give the same reason for having invested in bitcoin today.

I think if decentralization is the future of the world. then the world will live without rules.there is no harmony in society and there will be more criminal acts because there is not any rule in the world of decentralization. I hope the world consider it

I guess, you've missed the point here, decentralization refers only to the coin currency, every country has its own rules that could after those criminals, decentralization means every work network has been distributed to people in able to run and the good thing about this is that no one controls it.

A lot of people think the decentralized is the advantages from bitcoin, but otherwise from this decentralized make bitcoin it's difficult to control them and just became the disadvantage from bitcoin because this, the villain is always using bitcoin for criminal activities and paves the way they are wide.

The price is always changing with Bitcoin so in order for me to make money I can use my money to invest in it. When the price is low then I buy Bitcoins.
When the price goes up and is high then I can decide if I want to sell my coins to make money.

Yeah we invest in any product hoping that we will earn good profits in future, and same goes with bitcoin too, and bitcoin has capability of giving best returns in compare to others.

I started by gambling with the faucet only on different websites. After a total of +$400 in winnings from no investments, I wanted to just hold my money in there after hearing different predictions in 2014-2015 about the possibility of the price rising up to +$1,5k, hoping for my money to double. Then I found out nothing happened, so now I'm planning to just keep trying to get more and more satoshis in my account. Bitcoin might be a good investment for some of us right now (miners, traders), but it could collapse anytime soon.

I just see no better way to hedge against this dying financial system. Gold may be the best way to get a stable price, but when it comes to mobility, and holding the asset yourself, Bitcoin doesn't get any better. If I ever need to move with my money from A to B, with gold it's a fucking disaster as you will get stopped when taking a plane. With Bitcoin, you can move any amount of money seamlessly and no one will know. The potential is so obvious that it's 100% guaranteed to get rich once the rest of people catch up.

I'm investing time to generate bitcoin. No need to convert my hard earned fiat to a currency with limited use. Better to mine with ones mind, and efforts, instead of diverting value from my other income streams. This is an experiment still at this stage, and while I trust in the protocol (I can't see a massive, overnight devaluation, for example) I don't believe in putting alot of eggs in one basket. For an initial accumulation of Bitcoin, one can buy it or work for it, and to resolve that high volatility of Bitcoin, one must know how to grow them.  In my case, I trade Bitcoin in different altcoin then converting them back to Bitcoin if the price of these altcoins increase.  that way i can still have profit if Bitcoin price goes down.

Im investing in bitcoin because of some reasons. First reason is that unlike fiat bitcoin is easy to multiply. I buy bitcoin and use it in trading altcoins. This is the best way for me since I am already trading forex before and somehow I already have an idea of how it works. Besides, I have a day job so I just can't simply watch the charts the whole day so I just set a target price and then when its hit and I got my target profit then I'll proceed with the next pair to trade. I just roll over my profit so that I can reach faster my target capital in trading and then can proceed in taking the profits afterwards if I already reach that amount. I think if all financial transactions will be online course that will make us and the whole country is getting closer to destruction, because online will always vulnrable to hack. how if all financial transactions in the dikes, we would be in the stone age anymore

I don't think so.  Online business have layers of security.  Unless it is an inside job, this security will be hard to break.  As the hacking malwayre is evolving, so is the security system.  Besides online transaction had been around for some decade and yet it is still safe to do transaction in it.

Yes, exactly. We are investing our bitcoin to grow it more for us to sell it when the price go skyrocket again and sell it for us to get huge profit from it and some other things that we want to do with it. I also want to buy some things that I really needed like my own house and cars for the future and money also by doing bitcoin. I'm not just doing investing. I'm also do trading and some other ways to grow my bitcoin more and more until I saved enough. Saving and holding it is more better than using it in gambling.

2000USD/BTC after 5 years is quiet high for price speculation considering that there is a lot of alt coin that competes bitcoin now. But it might happen once big name alt coins fall down and whale investors turn on bitcoin investment, But for now, i think the price jump of bitcoin is a little bit shorter compared to the price inflation last year.

People are speculating that $2k price will be achieved in next year but I don't think it will be reach there in short time and to see that price I think we need to wait for at least next 5 years.

lol if investment in bitcoin does not have any risk of course everyone will try to invest in bitcoin without fear, maybe they will invest all their money without fear of loss, but you know all investments have risks including bitcoin, bitcoin prices do not always go up? so it is a risk for bitcoin

I am investing in Bitcoin because of the fact that it allows to me make some extra money by buying Bitcoin with my own money and holding on to them.
The price will rice which is going to make then worth more money.

That's right if we can manage them to hold for long term then it will grow our investment and can give us best returns as majority of users thinks that price will go higher in future.

I'm not buying Bitcoins with my money, but on the other hand I'm not selling the BTC which I already have, or at least I'm trying very hard not to, so in a way it is still an investment. The obvious reason for that is that the price of BTC is rising in the long run and I think it's one of the best investments one can imagine.

Big business man says no investment no earning and me too know that without investment earning is more probably 0. So I took risk and bought bitcoin to invest in mining site. And I had also invested in investment site which had gave me $8 in profit. But the mining site which i had used scamed me and I had suffered losses there

Why im investing Bitcoin? Well, it gives me some profits, gives me a lot of money, I can earn as much as i want as long as i can make some profitable ways. Though it is not stable yet you can always invest it. But sad to say, i never done that now or before because i dont have enough coins in my wallet to do that but that's ways i would make to have some investments.  :)

It's price now is about 650$ per Bitcoin. when i first joined the bitcoin world, I found that bitcoin was a potential coin with many advantages that could my life. So i decided to invest in bitcoin when its price was only 350$ per coin. Basically, right now, i have earned almost 100% profit of the amount which i invest in bitcoin. Its a good investment to make but we cannot expect huge profits in quick time as price is stable and we haven't seen major pump since long time so to make profits from it you need to have patience.

All are very sure that  one day when the price goes up, they would sure get a good profit back for their investments. The price now is booming up again. Many who invested and bought bitcoins would really gain a lump of profit. Still we have time. I would still buy more bitcoins and try to get a good profit. The price is going to be more than $750 in the beginning of 2017.

Actually i am not too sure about it,yes price would grow up but for now we have seen a price increase in the past few weeks and i think it would again go down a bit again and become stable for some time,because it always happens after a sudden price increase,but nothing can be predicted and we see what happens now.
