You gotta bet on games with line value to actually make money in the long run. Upsets happen all the time, so betting games with 1.1 odds is never safe. Aim for games with 1.7 odds or higher most of the time and try to figure out where bookies undervalue or overvalue teams.

Big bankroll for big profit, that's the main problem for other gamblers who do no have big bankroll to gamble. Always better to start gamble with the money that we can afford to lose no matter how small/big is it.

My advice is to bank/withdraw the biggest part of those and continue to gamble with a fraction of your balance since sooner or later you may bust. this happened to me too in early month of july when i bet on horse racing odds @4 i put $100 on it as i have free money that time and won it in the next hours i bet on japanese soccer match won it on @1.8x odds put my previous winning $400 to almost $800 , i withdraw the $700 to my bank account , $100 left and bet the rest to make a parlay in tennis , got the @6 odds total , damn i won it again . i won over $1,300 in single day. pretty nice isn't it? it was a nice winning streak .but the next story that i recenlty lost 2btc in casino which my previous profit in last month are just gone , well the circle of gambling are exist. just don't make any mistake after your winning , keep your winning in your wallet !

Great single bet wins but did you ever think that if you make a parlay with highest odds of 3 matches, you'll probably make a lot more money from that. 500 ETH for the highest stake approximately makes 9 BTC. It's always good and profitable to make low odds, high stakes bets. Every professional gambler follow that step.

I did post some bets I'd made yesterday on the Nigeria game, anyone was free to follow them.

btw, I'm not sure if this is a feature or a bug. But since I've posted bets I've been making anyone can see what account(s) my bets come and go from. And those transaction id's can be pasted into Direct Bet and the associated transaction will show up.

It doesn't bother me personally but I don't think thats right.  If I paid you 10 Ethers I owed you, I'd obviously now know your Ether address.  If I suspect you've been gambling I can then try your transaction id's in Direct Bet and not only can I tell if you were gambling there, I can see what you gambled on and if you won or not.

But you shouldn't be able to see why someone sent money, and what exactly happened with it.  

I should be able to see you sent 200 ether.  I shouldn't be able to see you bet it on a 500 to 1 horse and won  ;D   The current Direct Bet system is allowing this... you can be nosy and paste my transactions into their system and see exactly what I bet on and if it won or not.

i wouldnt gamble any more either, that would be just stupid as you would just lose all your winnings to the casino, just transfer it to old storage or something like that

I tried to put 500 ETH on Celtic to win after about 5 mins played. But I hadn't used my Ethereum wallet in a day and it needed to sync... so the transaction didn't go out yet and Celtic have scored now. 

So my bet was going to go on at 1.97 odds, and its dropped to 1.3 now which it will presumably go through at.

Then you should sync your wallet in advance if you want to place your bet that you are preparely certain to win without problems. :)

This is not the same as dice game because in dice game you need to calculate the house edge too meanwhile sportbetting doesnt have house edge. Vip rewards doesnt pay so much. And you really need to place 1000 eth so you can recover from the loss itself so I dont think that is the main point of his bet though. That is some compliment that directbet give him for bet such a huge bet. Although directbet has the lowest odds but its only around 0.1 different or even lower so I dont think it will affect much on our payout unless you are place a huge bet

I was getting too carried away with the bets I was placing, I suppose with hindsight this was me becoming a victim of my own success.  I was moving away from what my original successful tactics were, and placing riskier and riskier bets.

I don't really want to disclose exactly what my original tactics were, as I might go back to using them at some point. But for now I'm done, I've got too much online work to be on with instead of being up at 4am watching some random south american football game :D

I'm going to still bet, but only on the bigger games that I would have watched anyway.

So, in case anyone is interested this is the conclusion to the story  ;D

To begin with I had 87 BTC - this wasn't earned from gambling.  I converted them into Ethereum.  I then added £12,500 of Ethereum. Again not funded from gambling.

Right now I have $121,638 in my Ethereum account.

87 BTC = $500 or each each at the time = $43,500

£12,500 added = $16,409

total profit from gambling = $61,729

numbers are obviously not 100% as I'm approximating between currencies and the price of the BTC.  I've easily cleared $50k in gambling profit.  Yes I could have had a bit more if I quit at the peak... probably over $30k more  :o But hind sight is always 20/20.... loads of people told me to quit at 5k, 10k, 15k profit etc.  I didn't listen to them then, and I didn't listen when they said it again at 30k.  Now they're "right".... but a broken clock is right twice a day too  ;)

Right now all my ETH have been transferred to cold storage, I can no longer access them without significant effort.  Purely from a security point of view that makes sense (I have zero interest in spending or cashing them in, they are a long term investment).  But I'm not gonna lie... having them removed from the "I've had 4 beers and this bet looks a decent one" is probably a good thing too  ;D

I'm not saying I won't gamble again but for the time being I'm finished with it.  There is no fun in being awake at 4am chasing some south american game :D  I think I was pushing too hard with taking bets I shouldn't have... in part victim of my own success and thinking I could get away with varying from what was (and is) is a working system.  But it was hugely time consuming (having to watch loads of live football) and I have better things I could do with that time.  I have a reasonably well paying job and I am working on setting up a dog sanctuary... I don't have the interest in watching 270 minutes+ of football a day, in what is a high stress environment (try keeping your cool when working out whether to place bets worth $10k+ or not and report back if you think its easy  ;D )

I already seen Ethereum as a good long term investment before I started gambling.  So the gambling was just a way for me to increase my Ethereum holdings.  I'm a brit living abroad so getting through KYC stuff to buy more Eth isn't the easiest thing in the world, I need to jump through hoops or get people to buy at a premium for me through LocalBitcoins then change to eth etc.

I had a plan and it certainly worked as I'm up mid 5 figures from it.  I just feel now is a good time to walk away from it.  Perhaps that in itself is a dumb idea and I could have been up $100k a month from now... we'll never know :)

Yes I think it will inspire more gamblers to bet higher amounts. I never played live in game betting before I started seeing rampagejackson doing it and so I decided to start betting in live games and so far I've been doing well as I like betting on the goals over/under.

I also agree that other gamblers should be patient when it comes to sports betting and to also have a good bankroll management. Only bet 1% to 2% of your bankroll and never chase after losses as this can lead to people loosing it all.

Keep up the good work rampagejackson as you are inspiring a lot of us here.

That is good observartion. I also looking forward for OP to update again his bets soon. I am not really following his bets because I have my own local sport game that is betting. I don't usually go international games and games that I am not really updated of the stats and player status of each team. I think that is crucial- knowing the latest info of each team that is competing so that you will have an informed and intelligent decion as to what team to bet on.

Correct. He is a wise man and plays without much greed. Although I am not following his bets, I am just amazed how he wins. Of course there times that he loses, which is pretty normal in gambling - we win some, we lose some.
