Two questions for you:

1) Guess what's coming next?  :)

2) What would you like to see from BTCC Mint?  Just name it, and we'll give it some thought!

thanks,
Bobby

Some lower denomination coins would make your products more accessible to people here who can't afford whole coins.

Do a poll here asking what people would prefer for a low denomination coin and then go with the majority.  I'm not sure what the sweet spot is between peoples wallets and making it worth your time so make the poll in a way that serves your ability to stay in business. :)

I'd really like to see you participate in my community project to sign labels for the Encyclopedia.  Right now, you're one of the final coin makers that I would really like to have join this project, because I feel BTCC Mint has made a big presence here in such a short amount of time.

As far as coins go, anything that is under 1 BTC and more affordable.  These 5 and 25 BTC coins/bars are out of my budget.

Thanks

Also, coins made out of a different metal would be great too.

I've cast my vote and I'd love to see a 5 coin set of the lower denominations.

For example a 0.01 btc, 0.05 btc, 0.1 btc, 0.25 btc and 0.5 btc coin in a wooden box (just like the 5x5 btc set). Titanium bars (for example 1 BTC) would be cool as well.

I would love to see a Platinum 1BTC coin released. I do not think anyone has dropped a Platinum coin yet.

Now THAT would be awesome. I second this fantastic idea.
A low denomination, numbered, 5 coin set is something that I think would go down extremely well.

Thanks

I would love to see a Platinum 1BTC coin released. I do not think anyone has dropped a Platinum coin yet.

The problem with Platinum is similar to the use of Gold and Silver, which I have mentioned before:

Essentially, certain countries have very strict restrictions on the import and export of precious metals, such as Gold and Silver.  The countries I can think of are USA and China, and possibly many more.  These rules affect our exporting (from China), and will affect how your country receives them via customs.  This is especially true of the precious metals get made into "coin" form, which could trigger real money mintage and currency issuance issues (regulatory and legal liabilities).

Basically, I foresee this as a whole mess that we really don't want to get into (unless we were our own government and had the banking of a central bank!)

Your thoughts?

Or, hope to get your understanding on this matter... that we're almost never going to be able to make and sell coins made of Gold, Silver, or Platinum.

The only exception would be for us to make them, and you come over here to pick them up in Shanghai.  For that, the production run would be really limited, and the costs and premiums could be quite high.

Now, if there's enough interest, anything is possible.  If you guys really want it, please help gather people, pre-order, and we can consider doing a custom run for really low volumes, so that everything is pre-sold and paid for, and never listed on the store.

thanks,
Bobby

there is ANOTHER way.....

Coins made in EU/USA and you apply holos and codes HERE....

This would make them easier to sell/move.

caveats would be  -
Dyes and stamps for production.
Confirmed order for precious metal coins - possibly paid upfront.
Security while you "create" them?
Storage of coins while waiting to be sent, you'd need a trusted person this side of the world. Not impossible but would require some work unless you have someone in mind already.

Low denomination coins. Bring in a .1 and .01.

Coins are great but its time for something new. I would like to see 1oz silver bars with bitcoins and half holo wrapping.

Coin ideas, mmmmh, my name is coin@coin for a reason LOL

Precious metals I agree with BTCC here, anything to have them shipped safely and without killing it on customs fees I'm in favour.

Maybe other metals like brass, copper, various others which are unusual but could be original. Have you considered plating in silver, gold, antique brass, etc?
2 or 3 coins sets in different finishes, seems to be getting some traction from several current manufacturers. Plating shouldn't be an issue for shipping.

Have you seen the Satoricoin? Why don't you release some inexpensive "Casino Chip" like BTCC coins with low amounts, sold in sets of 10 or 20.
With some really cool designs! I'd love some of these.

Smaller denominations are best for my pockets too.

I think I've mentioned this before but a 12.5 BTC set made up of 5 coins with different denominations: 0.50, 1, 2, 4, 5 BTC, all from the same block totalling 12.5 BTC,
and if block reward is over 12.5 one of the coins gets the extra, each set will have slightly different BTC amount.

3 stars 12.5 BTC Blocks, but as someone else mentioned, even 1 BTC blocks or smaller denomination sets of blocks.

I like the idea of smaller denomination sets too from as low as 0.05 up to 1 BTC.

Also seen you guys can mint, some limited edition sets especially in lower denominations following a theme or an event... with different designs, numbered.
Animal series, zodiacal signs series, Chinese calendar series, PokemonGo series... I mean so many ideas out there. Can even have a form on your site to submit ideas the better ones get a prize :)

Also don't forget your coins look pretty nice I am so sure many would be willing to buy BTCC DIY coins.

Oh and finally "block rewards on demand". Someone pays for a 12.5 block or even 5 BTC, or 1... And they can specify the address where it is sent to.
They get the coin or block with hologram (DIY version) and they assemble it themselves.

Also, please don't flood your coins. Releasing many types of coins in a short space is going to kill the secondary market.

Please help me understand:
What would be the appeal of a "1 BTC Titanium Bar"?  Doesn't the 1 BTC Titanium coin already cover that?

The only "bar" we have is the BTC25+ "nugget", Bitcoin Block.
(We'll soon start selling the BTC12.5+ version....)

These are all "full blocks", the full bitcoin block reward.

What would be the appeal of having just 1 BTC in a "bar"?

thanks,
Bobby

The appeal is that it's not a coin. Hardly any (good looking) bars have been released. 1 BTC is affordable for most of the community.

No comment!  :)  Haha... here are my thoughts to share with you all:

Many people know that poker is my hobby...  There's a very important (long-term) reason why our One Bitcoin was 43 mm in size.
(Hint: what size are casino chips?  The LARGE denomination ones?)

So what's next from BTCC Mint?  ;)

It's an interesting idea, but my worry is that we won't sell enough volume to justify producing them.

Yes, for sure, we'll have the BTC12.5+ Bitcoin Blocks.  Come back on August 8.

As for smaller denomination blocks, what's the appeal?  Or wait 4 years until the next block halving and get your BTC6.25+ Bitcoin Blocks!  :)

thanks,
Bobby

You've created a few types of coins already, and they were all released not long after each other. If you keep making new coins, people generally struggle to keep up with all the new coins. It makes a few people buy them, and not very tradeable afterwards. And I don't know how many others are like me, but I definitely prefer getting coins I know I can trade at some point.

Do you also feel like that they release a 5 coin set of different low denominations? It is likely to be affordable and it comes in 1 purchase.

Microsoul is a good example of what flooding the market means. He released a lot of different coins (which weren't directly related to each other) in a short amount of time. The quality of the coina got worse, shipping got mixed up, funding got delayed etc. That were the main issues why I stopped buying the coins.

You know who is brother is, right? Pretty sure he's an American that can be trusted.

It would be incredible if you could strike infinity coins in which two coins were intertwined with one another to form a figure 8.

I'd really like to see you participate in my community project to sign labels for the Encyclopedia.

+1  Makers that participate in community projects instead of just trying to profit from the community are much appreciated.

I vouch for this too, it would be awesome to have BTCC included in the signature edition. :)

Thanks guys.  I feel like at this point I'm begging them.  Its clear they don't wish to participate anymore, despite Bobby replying once to me by PM and providing me his personal email, asking for more specifics.   The door is always open BTCC, but I wont bug you anymore.

It would have been nice to have BTCC participate in something that 31 (and possibly more to come) other coin makers are joining in on.  Its something that the entire community can do together so we can have something tangible and a little more personal of our fellow bitcointalk members.

I might also add that every single member that was given an opportunity for a donation once I start doing orders, requested that their donation be given to charity, when given the option to keep it.  I've also seen goodness from everyone helping out minerjones' relatives recently due to a fire.

Sorry for the rant...

Hi Bobby,

Thank you for replying.  I didn't get your address.

In the interest of time, if you could PM me your mailing address to send the labels to, that's all I need.  The package will come with a letter so instructions will come with the labels.

Thank you

I agree that would be great, but you would have to escrow 26+ coins until it funds. We have seen where they hit a 2nd block so fast things get double funded. I would love to fund a Casascius bar this way though... If you guys offer this service I would love a block mined to a custom address!

Lower denomination coins would help to bulk out your range but I think it'd be best to keep limited quantities that the market can reasonably absorb. Are two metal coins like the £2 pound sterling coin possible? It might bring in new security issues if the outer ring was not properly bound to the inner round.

Bobby,

I wanted to make a post hoping you would see this.  I also sent a PM and emails today to you and Matthieu.

You should have received my package today of the labels for the Encyclopedia autographs & holos, sent in a large flat envelope by US Express Mail EMS.  Kindly check your PMs or email for more details.  I'm hoping you can open my package, review the enclosed letter, and send the signed labels & ideally holograms back as soon as you can also by Express Mail.  My deadline is rapidly approaching, so I want to allow enough time to receive the package back.

Thank you so much.

Congrats on the new release BTCC! :)

As for next coins... I would say that anymore coins would be too many. But if I had to choose, I would say that if you could make titanium tenths with a premium of, say, 0.005BTC or lower, I think it would do very well. :)

I agree with miffman a 10th with low markup would be awesome.

Also would like a poker chip kinda bitcoin with very low amount of BTC in it, like Satori.

Note the "X" at the beginning of the serial number. Every single coin I received begins with a "T". (there was in excess of 10)

You mind checking yours, coin@coin, and posting?

Cheers :)

2) What would you like to see from BTCC Mint?  Just name it, and we'll give it some thought!

A list of public addresses for all coins produced so that someone can create a coin analyzer similar to what has been created for Casascius coins here: https://casascius.uberbills.com/

Agreed, that would be a great addition to the BTCC series.

My personal opinion is that all manufactors should have such a list and keep it maintained as long as they are producing coins.

Do you mean something different from the analyzer Anduck made? It's kinda like a basic uberbills version.

It would be nice if the list was official.  My mistake if it is already.

Yes, Anduck did a great job with that, but it would be nice if the list was official.  My mistake if it is already.

I did ask them via email previously to add an official list or tool to their lookup page here: https://mint.btcc.com/lookup but no news on that.
However Anduck's tool does a good job, I know he's very busy hopefully it will get updated with the latest issue.

Mine also start with T... Wonder if the one in the pic was a prototype private key printout.
If you try banging the public key on the BTCC Mint Lookup page it doesn't find it.
Would be nice to understand the logic behind the leading X, T letters.

Also wonder if the BTCC shot with the 105 means #105 or #5.

Quickly answer you're questions:
- All production versions of the Half Bitcoin have "T" as starting letter of serial number.
- The "X" coins were for testing and photography, and are not funded, and will not be sold or given away.
- the T00105 (aka "T-105") means it has serial number #105 for this Half Bitcoin series.
- all serial numbers under 100 for this Half Bitcoin are being auctioned:

I think you should make a beautiful bitcoin statue that also includes an hologram that hides a private key.

This item could be sold pretty fast, you should post here the design and we can tell you our opinion.
The best way to get a perfect product is to ask the customers for their opinions.
Anyway good luck with the mint.

In my mind, the prospects of a multi-denomination poker chip set just went up. On the other hand, the current 1K bit chip BTCC has given away is orange and not red (or any of BTCC's logo colors).

Looking forward to see them on sale. I guess they will be numbered as the others.

Now I wonder, how about low numbers? Will they be put up for auction or will they be available on the site first come, first served?

We will not auction the low numbers.  They will all be sold through the store, and some will be reserved for employees and special VIPs.

Bobby, there are some errors on the web:

https://store.btcc.com/products/2016-c-series-1kbits-sets-of-20

Sending to the cart the price is 0.10 BTC but on description:
<<Pricing:

0.18 BTC - Price of the Chips and Service Fees

0.02 BTC - Bitcoin Value

0.20 BTC - Total Price
>>.

Can you confirm that the 0.10 Btc is the correct price? Thanks.

In addition, due to popular demand, we're adding one more item as well:
- a full roll of the Titanium Half Bitcoin, 20 pieces.

They're the same size as the poker chips, by design.  So now, you can have both a stack of the Purple chips, as well as a stack of the Titanium coins, to represent the ultimate chip stack when playing poker!

you should have a master key series.
"Master V" series would be a freshly minted key that could be spent on all forks. So if there is another fork of Bitcoin in the future in a month, a year, 5 years; you would know your master v series coin contained a key to every chain.

It's a great way to get exposure to Bitcoin while being apolitical
Just a thought

Here we go, our newest product reveal for 2017:
Pure Silver coins, both in One Bitcoin (1 troy oz, 39 mm wide) and the larger and much nicer Two Bitcoin (2 try oz, 50 mm wide).

some caveats:
- only selling to China market
- you can pick up from our headquarters in Shanghai (up until Oct 31, 2017)
- pure .999 silver
- selling for BTC price, but the coins contain both BTC and BCC/BCH (as they were mined before Aug 1, 2017)
- again, all newly mined from BTCC Pool, so there are no prior transactions for these bitcoins; all from coinbase
- only made a very limited number... 100 of One Bitcoin, and 50 of Two Bitcoin
- most likely, we won't make any more in 2017.

We're running a 1-week auction for the 25 lowest serial numbers of each.

Good luck & Happy bidding!

thanks,
Bobby

Will these come become available for international shipping on the btc mint website any time soon? Since it's hard for non-Chinese people to participate in the auction

Unfortunately, nope.

As many of you may know, our business in China is facing regulatory uncertainty.  So we will sell out this batch, and only ship within mainland China, and that's it for now.  Or you can arrange to come pick it up in person in Shanghai, up until October 31, 2017.

Almost certainly, we won't be making more of these in 2017.  It's not a full promise, but that's likely to be the case.
So very limited in quantity... just 100 x One Bitcoin, and 50 x Two Bitcoin.

The Two Bitcoin, in large 50 mm size, with 2 troy ounce of Silver, is very, VERY NICE....

thanks,
Bobby

Bobby,

Any chance that BTCC Mint will consider creating a separate manufacturing facility for coins in Europe/U.S./etc.?

All the benefits of BTCC Mint coins, but far less hassle when it comes to shipping. You guys could even partner with Denarium or another company in the space. They are able to ship Gold and Silver coins international without any issues.

Thanks,

TTMS

What's with the October 31 deadline?  Is this some kind of regulatory deadline with respect to PBOC?

As much as I would love the idea of this, one of the biggest reasons why I love casascius and btcc mint is, because I can fully trust bobby and mike. If this process is outsourced, I would never hold any significant amount of coins in those collectibles.

Good point! BTCC could still create manufacturing facilities themselves outside China - no outsourcing required.

Bobby,

What's with the October 31 deadline?  Is this some kind of regulatory deadline with respect to PBOC?

Not related to the PBOC.

Just that for pick-ups, we need to set a hard deadline.  We don't want an unlimited window of time, where people walk over a year later, and ask for pickup for an order placed this month.

October 31 would give you one full month to arrange to pick it up in person.

thanks,
Bobby

Hey everyone!
(and especially to fans of BTCC Mint products!)

It's time again to ask:
What are you all looking for from BTCC Mint this year?

Just a quick note:
Silver is out as an option, as the shipping logistics are too complicated, due to international border and customs regulations in various countries.

Give us some ideas of what you want or what you recommend!

Some potential questions you can give feedback on:
1) Do you prefer BTC or BCH?
2) Do you insist on "newly mined" coins?  Or how about using "regular / circulating" bitcoins?
3) Denomination?  coins of 1.0 BTC and above? or lower-denomination chips?

thanks,
Bobby

1)  BTC please no shit coin like BTH
2) Newly minted or shall I say VIRGIN BITCOIN!  That's what makes your coins unique
3) Low denomination just like your 1k, 5k, 10k, 25 and 100k chips. But how about a  titanium 0.1BTC coin?

Looking forward to your new coins!

1) BTC
2a) Newly mined coins for coins and high quality chips.
2b) Very low denomination chips (500 or 1.000 bits) with circulated bitcoins.
3) Chips.

No BCH nonsense. Keep it to BTC :)

1) Please no Bcash. I think most collectors here would rather see an LTC collectible than a Bcash one (Plus we love Charlie).

2) Newly mined is the entire value proposition, in addition to the fact these are stamped with BTCC's name along with your reputation

3) Lower denomination titanium is a good idea (0.1) as someone suggested.  For the Chips I'm not sure you could go lower than 1k bits and have it easily spendable if/when the blocks become full again.  One thing that would help is moving to a P2SH Segwit or Bech32 Segwit address format.

Price point would make it highly attainable and the field of reputable loaded LTC products is very limited.  Id love to see this happen. from .1LTC - 10LTC chips.

The biggest draw for me are the fresh coins since they make these so unique. I would recommend sticking with bitcoin and skipping the alts...who really wants fresh BCH/LTC? With the prices being what they are maybe offer some lower face values like: .05 / .1 / .25 etc...

1) Definitely BTC.
2) Definitely freshly mined BTC.
3) Rolls of coins of 0.1, 0.05, 0.025 of coins (not necessarily poker chips) would be cool to see. Some lower denom blocks would be nice to see as well  :)

By the way... I would also recommend a BTCC combo coin.

You can load 0.1 BTC and 0.1 LTC. Virgin coins. Like a NATTY COIN

The Gold and Silver of Crypto!

Make it large enough to accommodate the holo with two priv keys.

I like the idea of smaller values as well.  Maybe a "Satoshi" line.... ultra affordable for everyone and rolls for the ballers.  Stick with the poker chips because it's your thing and makes your products recognizable.

1 Satoshi
10 Satoshi
100 Satoshi
1000 Satoshi
10000 Satoshi
100000 Satoshi
1000000 Satoshi

Different color for each..... update the holograms..... can still do sets.  5 chip, 6 chip and 7 chip

Just my humble 2 Satoshis  ;)

.....and please NO bcash!

Conventional color progression would be
1 - white
10 - red
100 - blue
1000 - green
10000 - black
100000 - purple
1000000 - orange

.....but you could always go outside the box with completely different colors all together.

1) Please don't do BCash. It is a stupid coin pumped by a clown
2) Definityl fresh coins! That is a uniqure feature of BTCC Coins
3) 0.1 Btc Coin would be nice

In addition:
How about a ''trinity of coins'' where 2 out 3 private keys makes the coins on the adress spendable? So you have to peel 2 coins of the 3 to sweep the coins. So you can store the coins on different locations without worrying about someone stealing your bitcoin.

1) keep it to bitcoin
2) fresh coins, little to no one can offer these no input coins now so keep it yours
3) some tenth coins would be nice, even .01coins are good.

Either way id to def see your company keep making coins

Circulating btc but Freshly mined Larger denominations of different design/colour for collectibles.
