What attracts you towards bitcoin?
I'm asking this because it could be different from person to person. Different people may like different aspects of bitcoin. So what do you like the most about it?

It is  decentralized. No one can access your private keys excepts you. Its also a faster way to transfer with a cheap cost. Also good for investments. It is popular right, which means it can pumps up the price anytime now. Just like banks. Bitcoin have disadvantages also. But im fine with that. Bitcoin is freedom. Thats what i like about bitcoin.

The main reason for me to enter Bitcoin is it being pseudonymous and its decentralisation. Bitcoin allows everyone to have an "account" without any verification or limitations. Anyone can own as much Bitcoin as they want and no one can freeze the coins. The decentralisation prohibits any central authority from regulating it and it would be impossible to shut down.

The use of Blockchain for a transaction ledger is an entirely new concept and that is probably what got me into Bitcoin in the first place.

I'm attracted to Bitcoin because of the possibility of making money, contributing to something new and growing, and get myself primarily out of the normal banking system, allowing for me to have my value stored beyond the fiat system and a bit safer compared to what they would be.

Plus I've invested a lot of time in Bitcoin, that's a thing.

I like the fact that it is a disruptive technology. We need alternatives in our lives, and Bitcoin offer us the alternative. If we only had one option for everything, that option would take advantage of their position and they would start to exploit that position. A perfect example of this is the banks. They are in a position of power, because they offered us money and now we are under their control with the debt.

The debt does not exist, because the money was created out of thin air. < If you understand, how they created that money >

Bitcoin is the alternative to many centralized payment options and also remittance services like MoneyGram/WU that are exploiting people with high fees.  

Bitcoin offers services which are not available before, just like how easy to send money from all over the world unlike before and its attracting me further.

I agree. Debt is created to control people and enslave them for their life time and their children. Money is just created out of air, Governments are printing currencies out of thin air and they circulate it  among their citizens. It all just based of "TRUST". I recommend everyone reading this post to watch "Bitcoin the end of money as we know it". It is a wonderful documentary which will open your eyes.

it is mainly because of decentralization. and for me it means that nobody can tell me if i can or can not use bitcoin because i do what i want with it. and it is not like other ways of online payment (like paypal for example) where i have to provide them with lots of personal information and private documents and then always be worried that they might ban my account someday and freeze my funds.

For me mainly it has got a fast face growth compared to other investment products and also I can earn some extra money from my free time. These are the two main reasons I use bitcoins. All other reasons are secondary like it's anonymous and fast transactions and can be used in gambling without any issue.

I like the most from here freedom. One thing is missing for me, its revolution.
I mean it solves byzantine problem which wasn't solved for couple hundred years.
Its true revolution  and powerfull invention.

I like technical stuff, computers, programming and those kind of things.
Then I like the fact that I can make payments without giving up any details of myself. At least if I do it smart.
And then I like the fact that government or tax authorities have no access to my transactions.
Bitcoin combines all that.

The bitcoin itself, bitcoin attracts me because I'm not the only one who use bitcoin but there are millions of people who use bitcoin and I feel awesome when I see someone else is using bitcoin and accepts bitcoin for their service.

I think this opening statement is what attracted most of us to try out bitcoin and any other crypto for that matter.

I do wonder what happens when organisations do more to centralise it... WU and moneygram grew and were popular for many of the same reasons and seemed to give people more control back, removing control from banks.

But when you consider now how difficult and costly it can be to own or sell bitcoin...

Despite it's being decentralized, anonymous etc what attracted me to bitcoin is it's being based on innovative technology which seems promising and has the potential to become mainstream.

Well I like it cause it helps me buy the products I want. Then I like the security aspect of it. The ever increasing price is a bonus. Over all I love the concept of Bitcoin, simple easy friendly to use. Plus this community helps more to know of Bitcoins, so love it even more.

This is very attractive as it offers a very good price for a job that is not very hard . So I would prefer most to use this as there is no loss. Means there is only profit. And you can convert bicoins into real money which is the best thing. Moreover u can use this to buy premium passes like pro packs , game cash n all. So it's attractive In a positive way .  :)

It is very attractive to me that I can buy stuff anonymous and that the state is not involved in the payment.
Then it's attractive as well that bitcoin has a big potential to increase its value. Bigger than any bank can offer me.
And I do not even have to pay taxes when I exchange bitcoin back into fiat again. At least not at the moment.

Because banks are more evil. The more money you put in banks the more powerful they can be.

To me bitcoin is the one way to earn some money now, few days ago I left my work and moved to leave abroad without any basis just with place where to stay. I make not so big money with commenting and gambling, but any money is good to me now.

For me, it's how futuristic it is. The cryptocurrency technology Bitcoin is so unique. Even if Bitcoin was not the first ever cryptocurrency, it is the most famous one and the most widely used cryptocurrency today. Another thing is that I believe this is the future of currency. This might be the next generation of finance. We can probably see that everybody will be using a kind of cryptocurrency shortly.

I am a teenager and i spend a lot of time in net surfing.One day my friend suggested me to earn bitcoins,so i thought why not invest this time in earning bitcoins.I developed sudden interest in bitcoins cause I do not want to rely on my parents for every thing.

I prefer look into bitcoin potential in the future as a strong currency and accepted method of payment wherever you go, an easy way to connecting people in transaction without need to convert your money and charge so much fees. Moreover, bitcoin has highest exchange rate compare with any other currency. The most I like from bitcoin is be your own bank, control and manage your own bitcoin.

For me what attracts about bitcoin is the possibility to have full control over your bitcoin and send the value to anyone in the world with a fraction of a second. Also, you can keep something in a wallet and have the possibility to have it increases in value with the time.

because it is friendly to alternatives and the major steps towards security development. before bitcoin was born encryption was but useless and unknown to the general public, as of today it made how encryption for good causes. as an example: BIP58. :)

I'm amazed at it's technology and it's value,I never thought that your computer can produce money and you can convert your bitcoin to fiat and most of all it's being a peer to peer no company or group that will manage or restrict your account like what paypal is doing to it's clients.

What attracts me towards bitcoin? well, simply and i would say honestly, i have the opportunity to have money on  my own, bitcoin is safe and i can do some transactions here with a very low fees. Bitcoin gives also the freedom we have and it is worth to our trust. It is very convenient to use especially buying online. Bitcoin also the future money in this generation.

Well, there are lots of attraction why i used bitcoin.

-first and foremost, bitcoin gives me the freedom of what i want to do, sharing of ideas, opinions, asking questions
-bitcoin gives me a benefit, i can earn money from bitcoin
-it is the best cryptocurrency i know
-i can invest using bitcoin
-and can hold money in a younger age

Most of the time people gets attracted to bitcoin just because of its increased pricing. Second thing is the decentralization and other factors like reduced transaction fees, less time for sending and receiving even when the sender and receiver are in two extreme corners of the world.

When I first met bitcoin, I just want to earn money with it but as the time pass by my reason to continue my life as a bitcoin user are listed below:

1). Anonymous and decentralized
2). Has a low fees when transfering money
3). Good for Investment

And lastly, I'm looking forward to its potential .
How it can bring change to our technology .

Well, for me it's because bitcoin helps me to earn money by converting it to cash and it can be also use when I want to buy something online having a very fast transaction and free from hassle. The other reason why bitcoin is attractive is because it can be easily earn in many different ways, well the easiest one is earning bitcoin in faucets, and the rest needs skills for you to earn bitcoin like posting with a good post when you are in a signature campaign for you to get paid.

What really attracted me to Bitcoin is actually my quest to make passive income since I have extra time in my hands and rather than wasting my resources surfing the internet I can really make something no matter how little. But what kept me because I get fed of things easily is the fact of the new day with new issues on the forum and even with opportunity to meet great people, transact with them with truthfulness and they still value integrity is something I wished I had been here earlier...

The thing i like and love most about bitcoin is being able to control my own money and hide it in the safest of places with just 12 words as the control.

The price for sure, i don't need to be anonymous, nor i have any big businesses or transactions to be done in other countries which i could do better with bitcoins than fiat, the thing that attracted me at first as well was its price, when i saw its price on google i could not stop myself but to get involved with it.

It's the most interesting sociological experiment of my lifetime. It highlights the capacity or restrictions of humankind's ability to work and play well with each other. It seems to magnify avarice while simultaneously fostering cooperation. Monstrously fascinating!

To both you guys and anyone else. FYI, central banks and governments do not create "money" ....correctly said its "currency" ... more specifically "fiat currency" when it comes to government enforced "currency"

Examples of money ... "real money" is something like gold.
Bitcoin, by design is intended to function similarly but it has yet to prove if its a store of value over long periods of time. For now its like a "pseudo money". It definitely functions as a "currency"(mind you not "fiat currency"), jury is still out on if its "real money"

I can do what I want, when I want, where I want, I can have as much I want ... without anyone else saying otherwise, using bitcoin.

Its technology is fascinating and one of a kind, we are all fortunate enough the "creator" left us the source code to improve upon their idea over time.
Never before in human history has something existed as versatile and free as Bitcoin - as a monetary component.

for the honest, i am here its because bitcoin offering to me to make money with buy and sell bitcoin and this is my main purpose to still use bitcoin until now. its been fun and i have many experience since i know bitcoin, from faucet, cloud mining, hardware mining, many altcoin, and every thing else.

For me as being from one of the developing country, we don't have any option to make cross country payments so hard for us to buy anything online out of our country. And also paypal like services doesn't offer their services to countries like ours and often band/froze accounts without notice.

Now after i started using bitcoin there was not any such problem and i can pay anywhere online to get items from outside my country as well as bitcoin fees are really low than any other payment methods that is another reason for me to use bitcoin.

Not only as payment option, bitcoin has also been profitable as investment for me.

There are several reason that attracts me towards using bitcoin like ;

1. I don't have to worry about getting my bitcoin stolen/frozen (like in other payment processors)
2. As being decentralized no government can shut down bitcoin like liberty reserve (i have lost hundreds of $) before.
3. Transaction fee is almost less than 1% without any extra fees/commissions added to usual fees
4. I can store millions usd worth of bitcoin in my bitcoin address without giving any personal information or without worrying about somebody gonna find out about me holding those large amount of bitcoin.

There are lots of reason why I've been attracted to bitcoin. First,regarding on money transfer which you could able to transfer within a matter of few clicks with less fees,its so useful to me when sending money since I'm far away with my family.two, money earning opportunity.three, no one could able to control your money but you only.

There is more than one aspect that attracts me to Bitcoin for sure. At first I was attracted by the very concept to create a virtual currency based on calculation work, that represents an analogy of the physical extraction process of precious metals in the digital realm, thereby creating sound money. I find that intellectual achievement very fascinating. At second I was impressed by the ease of use regarding the possibility to become your own bank and to seamlessly transact worldwide at great speed without having to obtain permission from anybody.

Both aspects ultimately boil down to the technological concept of Bitcoin which must therefore be considered the true source of my attraction to Bitcoin: its decentralized nature, which is the foundation for its value. Today, I'm a bit afraid that people might be forgetting that maintaining a decentralized Bitcoin network is of utmost importance for the currency. When I discovered Bitcoin I was curious what the possibilities are that can happen when using Bitcoin. To paying my bills, electronic load, gift certificates, etc. It attracted me about earning passively (mining but not made a big profit), I tried gambling but just lost money, about trading, not a big effect but it has). Basically, I'm attracted to Bitcoin, I even told my friend to also follow Bitcoin and join the adventure with me but he doesn't quite understand fully what Bitcoin can do, sadly I will just try to help him when I really become successful and he could see what I've become.

Well to me why i am here and why i am attracted in bitcoin honestly bitcoin is business and you can get the benefits of price increase so if you have bitcoin you will earn if the price will keep rising also i can earn few bitcoins in some activity that also i can use bitcoin for buying stuffs online.. i already use it for buying in namecheap and receive bitcoin from other adnetwork and affiliate network.. which is it can really help to have a good saving for my future..

i like bitcoin because it has no limits, unlike real money when using bitcoin you don't have to give any personal information so that why u may protect your personal life , using bitcoin wallets is much safer than using bank accounts so there is no chance for your money to get stolen, real money bank accounts always ask for fees to keep money bitcoin wallets don't, bitcoin has a rising value that keeps going up every day

Totally agree, bitcoin has many advantages that attracted me as we know banks system is unreliable and seems not fair for customer due to high fees of any service (anything). I like the idea of freedom with bitcoin and could used in global transaction.

     What really attracts me is the absolute freedom that I have to manage my money without to intervene a third party, the option that it is global that is, does not recognize national borders and restrictions so can be transferred in a short time anywhere on earth. Moreover  it makes impossible the manipulation, as it acquires value through the disposal of users to deal with them.

Well, when you use Bitcoin, no one can ever know who you are because Bitcoin is made for anonymously using. And of course, people do not have to pay tax to use Bitcoin. I do agree with you man. But bitcoin is not really anonymous that we already know because it can still tracked by someone but the thing is it provides fast transactions to us if you send money. On the otherhand other hand I do agree that it is very good investment because of the raising price of bitcoin that could earn you a ton of money over a year.

I like the fact that it gives you all the freedom that the banks extract from you.It's anonymous,there are little fees and you can send huge amounts of money which will be received almost instantly without having to go through third party.This for me is unique and ther is no other way you can do that if it isn't for BTC.The time needed to confirm the transactions is also relatively little and in a matter of minutes you can receive the BTC.

I really like it's simplicity, you don't have to provide your identity to open a wallet you just use your email and password to open an online wallet and get started with it, decentralized is also the main reason why i use bitcoin no one can't controll your money, lock it or freeze it for whatever you do even if it's illegal like other payment processor did, however there are some issues that i think must be addressed like confirmation time and lack of adoption but so far i am very satisfied with it especially for buying things online with it.

I find it easy for me to do transaction in the whole country, I don't need to exchange my fiat to another fiat to do international transaction, and then I like bitcoin because it's decentralized, but one of my favourite is i can used it for anonymous gambling, i don't need to provides any information to start gambling using bitcoin

Its idea and concept. It really differs from other online currencies. It offers lot of services and opens a profitability jobs too. The fact that we are only the responsible on taking care of our money on how will use , invest and save it feels the sense of security and safety. Besides the apps that can use for transaction anywhere by cashing out or sending of money is quite useful too.

I'm still relatively poor and I'm not doing very well financially, but Bitcoin has been helping me to pay for a lot of my food and letting me save some of my money so that it can go into getting a furthered education.

I am not a very technical person so I really do not know much pros of bitcoin technically but one thing that I like about bitcoin and is the reason I use it is it's price. Fee days back it was $600 and then it was $700 it can make me rich

Bitcoin attracts me because of its  so many advantages and includes there is you can make and earn money from it. It has small fee that everyone attracts also and faster than other (paypal) to send though there are time that this is also the one that many bitcoiners  annoys because of long confirmation but its not a problem at all. And some others said (also mine),that you can make rich with bitcoin. ;D

The fact that I own my bitcoin and can do whatever I want with it, you may think you also own the fiat in your pocket but that is not true that belongs to the banks and countries, fiat is not ours.

I am attracted to bitcoin for the following reasons:PayPal is not accepted were I coming from but I can receive and send bitcoin from my country, Trading bitcoin and other crypto currency is easy because of low volatile of the market compared to forex, most of the exchange bitcoin and crypto currency site send my earned without asking me to send my passport or other mode of identification and finally I can easily make bitcoin by just mining them but I cannot produce raw cash.

Bitcoin has 2-3 big benefits and all the bitcoin users like them.There`s no need to mention them again.

I feel majority of us are into bitcoin because we have realized its potential to make huge wealth to the holders of bitcoin in the coming years. I have been accumulating bitcoin because of their innovation and it is the future of money.

Most of peoples will say the decentralized system of bitcoin makes them interest.
Peoples bored with the bank system and want to cut the rules of payments.
Bitcoin with simple rule and low fees (almost free) is the answer of digital era.

i think not only decentralize character but there are so many other feather which really attract people toward it. as it can be use for both online as well as in local stores for shopping, as it can also be use for both investment purpose and as a currency.

I do like the bitcoin because its decentralized, it allows me to send any ammount for a low cost, besides that im able to earn a portion of bitcoin all weeks. That is what is more important to them not what it is really.

The idea behind Bitcoin is cool.
Create a new form of currency that doesn't rely on the government.

I was attracted to bitcoin because of the features it has.  The fact that I don't need banks or other payment processor that needs your identity to transact online.  Besides it opens a new set of opportunity to people that will give them new sets of client or customer for their businesses.

since i using bitcoin there are so many opportunity to making money and that is the main reason why i use bitcoin but besides that bitcoin have good feature which is not owned by the bank and those feature is anonymity, low fees and full access to my bitcoin without controlling by third party

You are right, the central banks and government do not create money, the ones creating money are those adding value to the society like teachers, doctors, mason man, taxi driver, etc. Government does nothing but enslave all these people by manipulating them using money.


Bitcoin is a revelation and answer to the financial crisis occasioned by the government and its agents. I like that through bitcoin, the banks which serves as government's monitoring and controlling agent, can be sidelined or forced to bend. This modern day slavery, sure have to end.

I needed something is being revolutionary in my theory. Bitcoin has brought it for me. There was some point of bitcoin has made me fascinating with them. Like they decentralized system was making our life especially in the financial aspect was so far from the intervention of various parties.

I would say anonymous and tax free like gulf country is best feature in bitcoins. Bitcoin is open ledger where you see the all the incoming and outgoing transaction easily. If governement adopt bitcoins and make any address as a open ledger for governement transactions. Then there is no scams at all with the tax payers money.

One reason why btc attracts me is Im just earning it from my phone. Though its a bit hard. You can earn from nothing to huge without going outside. And I can gamble without knowing my true identity.

Well! well! what a wonderful topic ^_^ so what attracts me is its a wonderful creation because bitcoin isn't all about the earnings from it when i look further from it i really understood how it works i never believed that many people are using while they are in the internet so bitcoin is one powerful thing in the internet so i am very attracted to it i really get attracted to powerful things like bitcoin so i can be powerful too but not the bad kind but the good kind that is and it seems to other people who doesn't believe bitcoin is real they don't really know the power they will get if they have bitcoin in their hands and i am working hard for bitcoin because i am really attracted to it :D

What actually attracted me to Bitcoin in the first place is the issue of volatility it possesses in the sense that over the night I can be richer and the next minute I could be poorer and this is what makes it interesting and even makes me more interested in the currency. On the otherhand, another thing is the opportunity to earn the currency via social media even on this forum and several opportunities to learn and get opinions of people from different parts of the world on a particular issue.

Gambling is not the way to earn money instead of its way to spending your money. I don't think if you gamble every time can make any money from it because end results depends only on luck. So I don't suggest to choose gambling for making money but you just play these games for fun.

I agree with you with this, information of yourself is not that big deal with bitcoin and it is totally secured cannot get that easily.
Time will come bitcoin will lead compared to bank transactions.

What attracted me most was the fast and easy transaction , I could send someone from anywhere in the whole world in a minute. He will receive it most of the time in half an hour but he can see it right away that it is coming. There is no other payment that is cheaper and faster.

To me it's the real control upon my money. If i use FIAT, there's just too much control from the banks and the government and bitcoin doest.

yeah, i have this experience too but not for long time because i can't make my phone to continue earning bitcoin and its only make my phone being so hot and finally gets hang. but now, i am trying to earning bitcoin with my computer so i think it will be safe for me.

How do you earn using your phone? Through signature campaigns or faucets? The money you earn through faucets probably won't be enough to pay for the data charges on your phone.  ;D

The concept has been proven which is an important step for any emerging market. Now, bitcoin is in the adoption phase which should help make the ecosystem more efficient. There is literally tons of potential for bitcoin. The opportunities just need to be realized in the consumer marketplace.

Well someone could get some decent amount of money from faucets, though. Just referring the bunch of people who are actively claiming every day and you will get some commission out of it, though it will require so much effort to be realised the result is worth it. And that's why some people still keeping up with the faucet

But I think there are so many other special things of bitcoin which attract people: bitcoin is giving you an opportunity to use it having same value in all over the world, as you do not need to convert bitcoin in to any other currency when you move to a new country. I got attracted because of this feature.

What makes bitcoin attractive for me is an ability to earn money with it without paying any taxes and without this money counting anywhere. Oh, and no need to worry about getting cash, because there are people everywhere ready to give you $ instead of it. Another cool thing is that it is something close to magic. Some numbers with no material subtance which change their price and give you an opportunity to buy something totally materialc instead.

once i learned how a bank works i was really getting frustated and when i came to know about bitcoins at around february 2010 that tome i was almost satisfied by the concept it take time to learn it but its based on modern technoligy so its very easy to learn and to implement it on programming languages makes it even cooler

I'm attracted to bitcoin because it gives me the feeling of independence. I got the opportunity to have the alternative to banks and their way of financing. Transactions are easy, bitcoin has no borders, it's available everywhere in virtual world. I'm also very happy because I have the opportunity to earn bitcoins through signature campaign.

first of all i earned bitcoin in low amount through trading and then i attract in bitcoin and now i earning bitcoin in a huge amount through trading and i think bitcoin trading is very much easy than other investment.

The community is great and it's easy noth to use and to earn/make it. I always looked for ways to get some extra pocket money anywhere I am or I go, and I can take my phone just anywhere with me and earn Bitcoins on the go on this forum. Just like you said what attracts me to do bitcoin is that allows me to earn extra income in form of bitcoins. Most of all attraction to bitcoin is due to freedom on how you are able to use it for online transactions and also how to use it for other puposes. I am attracted to bitcoin because I am earning a very good income with the usage of bitcoin and I do not need now to go to out in the part time after my university to start any job but after taking classes in my university I come to home and do my tasks and trade with bitcoin to earn my living.

That is a good point, because if you make a transaction to the banking system it can be stopped by the banks, but if you make a transaction in the bitcoin network then no one can stop your transaction no matter what they do.

bitcoin is good for online transaction cause it is anonymously sent. But the badside of bitcoin their are less shops that are accepting bitcoin .bitcoin can be use on good things too like donating on a charity anonymously

Is difficult to decide when it's about a new currency but for me is quite easy. I prefer bitcoin because I have the feeling of freedom. I can do anything I want without someone third (my bank) to intervene. It's the same feeling if you have cash but it is impossible  to sent or receive cash without personal contact. So, this was the main reason I preferred bitcoins from fiat money

As long as you are not using your bitcoins to buy illegal things then all the transactions that you make are in fact good, because you are helping the bitcoin economy by making transactions, you win because you obtain the product and service that you are looking for and the seller wins as well by obtaining a small profit.

The problem is there's no restriction here online, we can do either it's illegal or legal. Wrong but not illegal, we have different interpretation of what is wrong or right, thus a law was created by the government so we have a main basis to evaluate our actions if it is against the law or not. I have same experience as well, without that they called free faucet that I do during my idle time I won't found out that there are still some easy/other way to earn in bitcoin. I had knowledge about e-currency since a few years ago i guess due to movies or news.

Well it's weird but I will say that the unpredictable nature of bitcoins makes it an attractive thing for me to engage in. It's like gambling, I basically derive the fun part of it and feel satisfied. I like to wake up and hear the price either up or gown without necessarily losing money.

I am technology lover and i camt keep myself calm by seeing bitcoin and not using it. It's a revolutionary technology that make me shout wow wow because i wanted to seen something like this and finally i have that and i love to use it.

It does not just actually helps the government to improve, IMO this is the main source of funds so probably the life of the government because they don't have funds no projects would be made and there would be no improvement. I have the same interest as yours :D The feeling of checking bitcoin's price and being surprised every time is kinda cool. You can never know if it will rise dramatically or plummet significantly, you can never predict it. Bitcoin mining is a legit investment but it is not always an investment because the meaning of investment is the one who gives or creates money for you but if you don't have enough money to invest in mining then it will not be profitable for you and it will be a waste of money and time. What I like most about was the charge is very low, compare to other online payment  that has a big charge for every transaction which you are going to make in the online system, whether it is shopping, travel and tour, hotel booking.

There's so many things why I loved bitcoin so much. Not really sure, it is really hard for me to believe that someday that all the world is going to use the bitcoin, I mean we all know that the bitcoin is limited and if more people keep coming to the bitcoin community we don’t know how much bitcoin will be left, maybe in the future bitcoin might get replaced by another similar currency, or some new technology will allow us to have more bitcoin.

I read somewhere the basic unit of bitcoin is going to change into satoshi, so that we will be having more number of bitcoin users to be accompanied within bitcoin ecosystem. There are many attraction that bitcoin has, one of those are, its flexibility, security, and decentralization these are major things why I am very much attracted into bitcoin. Because of being unregulated of bitcoin, nobody can attempt to do what they wanna do to bitcoin.
