Edit: My numbers were wrong and actmyname corrected me with the correct information and algorithm for calculating raffles.

m^-(n-1) * (w-n)/m
m = number of slots
w = number of winners
n = number of prizes a single person wins

Hey, how did you do your calculations? You simply multiplied by 16 starting from 8, right? It doesn't necessarily work like that - seen when you apply the same to the 0.390625% chance, where you have a 6.25% of landing a prize [overall]. ^{Obviously, it's a 1/16 for winning a prize per round.} I would think that two, for example, would not be a 0.39% chance, but rather a 1/16 * 7/16 chance - which has a likelihood of 2.734375% - about every 1 in 37.

And for reaching n prizes, it would simply be 1/16^(n-1) * (9-n)/16, no?

How does this work? I want to get a ticket.

It is quite easy so let me break it down for you:

1) pay for a slot, either make your pick from the ones that are free (you can see them in the op, the characters between 0-f) or just say you want a random slot and I'll pick one for you.

2) once the raffle is full we (me) selects 8 block numbers that will be mined in the future, 8 blocks in this raffle since we have 8 prizes.

3) wait for the blocks to roll, once they have been mined you look at the hash and check the last character, that is what determines the winner/a.

4) if you won I will contact you to get your shipping info etc. If you did not win, better luck next time.

If it seems complicated all you have to do is pay for any amount of slots that you'd like and tell me to give you random ones. I'll keep track of everything as will other users.

It's a 0.146484375% chance to hit 3 with one ticket, and it's a 50% chance to hit 1 with one ticket. Since you have these two, they should be multiplied giving you the final chance of

0.0732421875%!

(note that this is just for this specific permutation, the actual chance includes all possibilities added together: 1-3, 2-2, 3-1, 4-0, 0-4)

The real chance, if I calculated correctly, is 0.162%
