Title: I had luck in which Alt I should invest now
Post by: Zncon on May 16, 2017, 01:28:26 PM
Hi guys,

i had really luck and had a lot BTC bought arround 5 years ago and i just forget abou them untill 2 month ago where a friend
talked to me about BTC. I searched my old Notebook and i have still all BTC.

I cashed out a lot and bought a nice car ( Porsche 997 Turbo ;-)   )

Now I wanted to invest arround 50 BTC in one next Altcoin and just forget again about this one ;-)

Which coin you think could be a good performer in the next 3 years?

Decent? HMQ? Some others?

Wow what a nice paid off for those bitcoins you kept for a long time but i would like to see the link on such wallet? So that we can be sure that you do have such coins and dont forget on the picture of your new car together with your username. I know im asking too much but im just excited to see your real success with bitcoin :)

Edit: There are lots of potential coins which have the possibility to rise up just like on bitcoin. Most of them are on the top list.

We should ask moderator to open new topic for Bitcoin stories, it would be nice to have it all on one place.
If you have 50 BTCs then better try to trade them on an exchange, today we had very nice changes 1600-1650 -1620-1668 (BTC-E)..imagine what can you achieve.

You could make your investment into ethereum or ripple. Both seems growing enormous in terms of capital as well value. This year more alts are in the peak rise, so better study the market and invest into coins which are very small in value as you've planned of look after a long time period.

Great story and good for you.  I would suggest investing in various alt coins to diversify.  If you wake up again in five years, some of them may be worth a lot.  If you invest in one only, it may be gone.  Diversification is the key to investing in any portfolio.  Try and spread the funds.  P.S. it can't hurt to keep some bitcoins too.

Definitely diversify.  But I would keep an eye on them.  Not every day, but at least every month or so.

Absolutely diversify! A good rule to follow is no more than 20% in any one investment. If you have 50 BTC (lucky you!) that you want to put into altcoins, spread it among at least 5 currencies (choose 10, if they are riskier). It has a similarity to penny stock investing, in that you buy 10 to improve your odds of picking that one winner.

Not all cryptocurrency development information is publicly available for dissemination, and most of the tech can easily be copied, so its important not to buy into the hype too much when choosing.

20% XEM

20%. LTC

10%. ETH

10%. BTC

5%. Each into 8 different smaller altcoins valued no more than a 100 million market cap.. Ark, lisk, pivx, and others people in this thread recommend.

Total investment percentage... 100.  Make sure to withdraw them into their wallets and save the private key.

Dont invest in ICOs. Hold your bitcoin.
Link them with byteball. You will get free money by just signing a message.
Thats the best you can do, and you get to keep all your bitcoins

Leave most of you btc in btc. Or buy some flat or something, I don't know. Don't invest a lot in alts. If you have 50btc, use no more than 5 for investments. Definitely invest in litecoin (2btc). Try investing in ethereum (1btc). And spend one btc nearly randomly on different currencies. Congrats you have so much money and got that lucky with bitcoin. If you remember who told you about btc and thanks to whom you invested - buy them something very good as a present (spend around 1btc on this). Good luck!

WOW that's so cool you are really lucky. If I were you I would buy a few masternodes in INSANE COIN, get a few hundred thousand JANUS TOKENS and some other good ETH tokens like creditbit and also a few thousand STRATIS. There are a lot to choose form but these have a lot of growing room for the future and JANUS also gives us monthly dividends. Good luck with your investment and again a big congratulations to you.

Wow, if this is really true then I am happy you made the decision early and you can even reap the benefit of making such decision as at then even when it was really an unpopular one at that. For the future, its really an uncertain event that the past is not a determinant of the future but a careful study and analysis in other not to regret because that fund you have there can really make a difference in the life of some one.

You can just cash out BTC and start to invest in Iranian stocks. I do not see better opportunities in crypto if you have 50 BTC to invest.

It's nice to read such topics)
But now it is difficult to find something that is really interesting and profitable in the future.
Look towards the Tezos project.

I just recommend to invest in football coins, ethereum or torcoin, this is the altcoins that i know will shine in the future. But if you want immediately income just invest to Bitcoin their amount were still raised up in the market.

At least there can never be sanctions against cryptocurrency.  ;)

Because a lot of us have been here for a couple of years+ we tend to think that every crypto has already played their hand, and there aren't any that can possibly topple the kings. No currency, not even bitcoin, has found a way to resonate with everyday people and the current financial system. Regardless of what you think of government, banks, big business, etc, the cryptocurrency that can gain a foothold in their world will likely be the most financially successful. You don't have to believe in what they do, but if it is profit you are looking for, you may want to take a look at some with a business-like focus.

I would not put it all in one

bitbay is worth at least 1 or 2 of the 50 though I would say. I would go more but still it is nice to spread it out a bit.

you only need a few real gamble outsiders to come in to make huge gains. So always scout about for promising undervalued projects.

try to invest in the coin that has been lasted for years, try to invest it in etherium or in litecoin,it has been established as one of the strong coins in the market, and I know that they have many investors, it has a very good market value also, you may also try the new coins in the market then sell it asap, it is good for a short trade trading. goodluck for you buddy.

You should be investing to XRP. You're going to need XRP later, trust me. There are going to be huge adoption to all altcoins and they are going to start with ripple. I just read this info from reddit lately, I don't have all the details but this could be real.

Congratulation for your lucky  :D
In my prediction if you want make investments into one altcoin, you must choose the altcoins that has good fundamental, are like good developers of altcoins, the purpose of altcoins, ecosystem of altcoins and projects related with the altcoins. The good candidate for all of ceritera is ethereum because it has fiture smart contract and many projects (dapps) be builded on ethereum include gambling game on ethereum blockchain.

Well with those big volume alts you can do day trade system buy low and sell high small profits but it will not allow you to lose everything just in case certain crash happen its a matter of good timing. Needs a lots of research and study in order to gain.

If you really have that much of BTC then better is to hold that BTC rather than investing it as the price is still undervalued and will increase in the future. Invest in small amounts, go for Ripple and recently I have invested in Creditbit. Looks prominent and can earn you some cash in the future.

50 BTC? Best advice imo is to diversify.

Put 1 BTC in each of the top 50 ALT coins.

Well Balanced and Diverse Portfolio. Won't have that one sexy pick, but you get most of everything.
Even better way is to split half a bitcoin into Top 100 alts. You'll thank me in 6 years.

Can't go wrong with index fund buying.
Gotta catch em all!

Waves----40%

Xerium----20%

Eth--------20%

XRP--------10%

LTC-------10%

It seems to be made profit a huge who will be followed this strategy may be i think. its not 100% true or proof just prediction it's could be like that.

But I understood that DOGE devs are not doing much development on this coin. Is that true?

I have invested on BTC, ETH, DOGE, NEM, Waves and IOTA. So far all my altcoins are doing good except IOTA because only last week I invested on this coin and it needs more time to show the good results. Maybe after the cool down then I will add some ripple to my account as well.

All alts so long as its legit project will rise soon as its development mature. If OP got that amount of BTC since then, I guess he can manage to analyze which token to invest with. My suggestion are WAVES, ICONOMI, EDGEless and Matchpool, these are soon going to moon the last two are the cheaper ones.

I dont wanted to invest only in Top Market Value Coins. Better invested in some young to get more profit.

WAVES, lisk and iconomi are still quite low capped and could easily multiply a few times in the near future even.

XEM is having good momentum and is shaping up to become a real game changer. You are a bit late to the party here though, but it could still easily double or tripple soon.

You don't need luck in investment, you only need is to become wise on picking of altcoins you want to invest. I just recommend to invest in bitcoin, ethereum, torcoin or any altcoins you wanted. But make sure that you know how to handle the coins you pick for your investment.

Thanks for all replies.

I mad last days my homework and searched for atractive investments.
The situation is as follows. The most BTC I will hold in a cold wallet (i mean paperwallet is it called cold wallet ??? )
50BTC I wann invest in alts.

First investment i did yesterday I bought for arround 12 BTC HMQ (Humaniq Tokens) on Bittrex.
This seems for me a good project which could raise up really to 10 Dollar in the next 3 years.

The second investment I will do is DECENT after it is released. Her I will also invest arround 10 -15 BTC

25 BTC I will split today into to buys. 12.5 BTC I will buy ETH and 12.5BTC I will buy ETC.

After this I will turn off my Computer again and you will here nothing from me the next years.

It is certainly up to you what currencies you buy, but it is pretty risky not paying attention to them over the next few years ("After this I will turn off my Computer"). This industry is still really young, and things could change overnight. Something negative may happen to your investment in one of the coins you've chosen, and if you have been watching them, you could salvage (sell) what is left of it and buy something else. That 'something else' may be the big payoff you have been looking for.

If this had happened a few weeks ago and you walked away from bitcointalk after investing, you would have missed the news coming out tomorrow on DNotes 2.0. I can share this much - The new DNotes 2.0 will switch from a Proof-of-Work (PoW) algorithm to Proof-of-Stake (PoS), utilizing C# and supporting the Microsoft.Net platform. The rest of the information and our path going forward will be announced on a new DNotes thread tomorrow.

Feel free to drop in and say hello.  :)

that is right. They need only a little luck and have a good vision in the cryptoworld and they can earn a good amount of money here. I think you should invest your money to the top 20 coin on the coinmarketcap. Their prices will soon go up

You need to invest in one of the most known altcoins if you are going to invest that much money since you don’t know what it is going to happen to all of those other coins if you forget for 5 years but congratulations on your earnings.

Nice find, I would suggest spreading it over at least three coins rather than just one.  Two that I think are worth a serious look are WBB and COVAL, both would be more long term late 2017 / 2018 to see the real action.

I think you should invest your money in Ethereum Classic. It seems that every top 20 coin has been pumped and etc still stand there. It is a good chance to buy etc with a cheap price and if you know how to be patiend and not become panic seller, you will definitely earn a good profit with it. Currently, I am holding etc, litecoin and monero. Monero is potential but I do not think that this year belongs to XMR

byteball is better option for dag

I would also say bitbay and blocknet could beat all of these on returns.

FootyCash (FOOT) would be the best coin to invest and forget.

Here's why:

Footy Cash (FOOT) has seen a meteoric rise in valuation for the past month; with a price increase of more than 5000%+ on multiple exchanges.

https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange/?market=FOOT_BTC#

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1374929.0

I think the reason being is that:

1. Footy has Rarity - Only 4 million coins total can exist.  There is a small POS inflation rate - about 3% annually (for staked coins only).
How many of you can say like the Winklevoss twins - that you own whole percentages of a cryptocurrency.
Looking the current price of FootyCash you actually might be able to!

2. Footy is the first Fantasy Sports Crypotocurrency ever made. - Footy is the Bitcoin of Fantasy Sports!

3. Fantasy Sports is a multi-billion dollar industry - with tens of billions of dollars in annual revenue just for Fantasy Football alone!  If you count all the illegal gambling the figure goes much higher - maybe hundreds of billions? (not that I am condoning illegal gambling - but it's a fact of reality that must be considered anyway).

4. Coinmarketcap list just under 900 altcoins; of those listed only a  small percentage of altcoins have a cap of less than 4 million total coin.  Every coin on coinmarketcap with a rarity of less than 7 million total coins produced are all worth more than $2.00 USD - with the exception of Dreamcoin (because of YOBIT) and FOOTY CASH (which is currently undergoing a price correction: 5000% increase in the past month alone.)

5. The coin was greatly undervalued because of unawareness of the Footy cryptocurrency and Fantasy Sports as well.  As more and more people become aware of its value the price will continue to rise. The price may go higher than $10.00 USD per coin before the end of the year!

6. FootyCash has a great developer, active development, and the best community support!

7. FootyCash has a promising roadmap and is currently developing Masternodes and Anonymous Send like DASH and PIVX for the next release.

8.  The name FootyCash may sound funny but "Footy Cash" is an actual English term (apparently):

     https://www.power100.com.au/news/local-news/81959-footy-cash-to-go-to-good-friday-appeal
     and
     http://www.heraldsun.com.au/ipad/california-club-brothel-sues-in-footy-cash-feud/news-story/bd77f7d397a34a067342a113b5bfa5d8

9. DraftKings, FanDuel, and other Fantasy Sports companies are getting the legislative green light to operate in most U.S States and other countries as well.

https://www.law360.com/articles/944544/draftkings-fanduel-can-focus-on-dfs-legalization-post-deal

Quote
Over the past year and a half, DraftKings and FanDuel have been able to convince state lawmakers in eight states to expressly legalize DFS, most significantly in New York as it ended lawsuits by the state attorney general.

When these companies decide to follow the trend of most corporations and switch to blockchain technology - I guarantee you that they will take a hard look at FootyCash first!

Why would Draftkings or Fanduel select FootyCash (FOOT) for customer deposits/withdrawals over conventional Cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin or Ethereum?  Why should they use FootyCash over Bitcoin?

FootyCash (FOOT) is the first cryptocurrency designed for Fantasy Sports and there are only 4 million total coins ever; as good as those reasons are, what makes FootyCash a better choice over Bitcoin for DraftKings and Fanduel customer deposits/withdrawals are the following reasons:

FootyCash's roadmap and ongoing development will make FootyCash far better for Fantasy Sports than the other more popular coins such as Bitcoin, etc.

FootyCash will have features that are specifically designed for Fantasy Sports and gambling as a whole.

One example is an Anonymous Send feature like DASH and PIVX.  Bitcoin does not have Masternodes nor an Anonymous Send feature but FootyCash is currently developing these features.

The legality of Fantasy Sports in every country is not clear, most being ambiguous at best. Even though most U.S states are legalizing Fantasy Sports gambling there are some people who would feel more comfortable with a coin designed to protect them in the area where the law may not be clear.

Both Draftkings and Fanduel also would want a coin that can cater to the Fantasy Sports industry as a whole, with features designed for Fantasy Sports - i.e fantasy sidechains, etc...

Bitcoin can't do that, but FootyCash can.

*****************************************************************

FootyCash (FOOT) dev just confirmed Anonymous Send feature like DASH and PIVX to be added along with masternodes in the new release of FootyCash:

From:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1374929.400

The focus right now is on creating masternodes for the coin.  They will help provide stability to the network and incentives for ownership.

We are making excellent progress, and will update the community on details for how many coins are required for a masternode, features, and other important information shortly.

Welcome to any new members of the community ;D

How many coins to avail in masternodes? What is the benifets if i buy masternodes? It looks good for me i just want to know some more info about this coin thank you dev. I wish i could buy some cheap coins until the masternodes emplimentation is release

There are a number of important features outlined below.  We will be releasing details on masternode requirements soon.

The fantasy sports industry needs faster payment methods and anonymity to protect personal information, so these features fall right in line with our mission statement.

Features

  • Anonymous Transactions
  • Improved Network Security
  • Faster transactions
  • Decentralization
  • Community voting on proposals

Are you going to use the same Anonymous Send features as DASH or PIVX?

Yes.  What we are working on for the masternodes will have an anonymous transaction like PIVX and DASH.  Still testing things, and will keep the community updated.  Hope to have something ready in the next week.

That also happen to me but unlike you I dont have lots of btc there is just one btc wallet that offer free 1$ worth of btc for signing up around 2011 if im not mistaken(I was still a noob that time what btc is and just create a wallet as compliance for a ptc/faucet). During that time I got around 10m satoshi but because Im a noob I stop all faucet and ptc Im engaged and forgot btc which I thought a scam since I dont know how it would be real bucks and dont made any research of it. Just last year when btc already popular and I discover an opportunity online to earn some bucks paying btc for posting in their forum, I open my wallet again and see that I have around 200$ worth of btc lol. I really regret I didnt push gathering btc wheyback 2011 maybe I have more today.

The problem is that back when you invested there were only one or two major coins. So, it was easy to predict which one would be a great investment. Two years later, there are hundreds of coins which can succeed in the future. I see that only true way to investment is to diversify. You need to do your research on coins, and look for the coins that are thinking outside the box.

This is true you are very lucky to buy btc 5 years ago. Surely you do not want to miss the moment of the coin again. Good coins for the next 3 years there are several options. Xrp, ltc. Dgb. And eth them a very nice coin according to my feeling. Not only that the coin is already used banyk various countries. Hopefully help you.

First thing you should do, is review the steps that you took to got you where you are in the first place. If it was intuition, business sense, or possibly even information from a trusted source, it worked for you once and it may work for you again. And cryptocurrency that is not always the case, but if you do find a system that works for you or than once, then there is no reason to not continue to do that until it does not work

Hi guys,

i had really luck and had a lot BTC bought arround 5 years ago and i just forget abou them untill 2 month ago where a friend
talked to me about BTC.

Just don't make the mistake of thinking that this is work 4 times it has to work the fifth time and increase your investment beyond what you can afford. One near guarantee of failure is when you place everything you have on the line.

I think you are very wasted when investing 50 BTC into an altcoin, luckily it can smile to you, but it will not continue to happen in the future, I recommend you sell all BTC, And invest in your real life.
