Coin Supply and Distribution
The genesis block contains 800M EVO. It will be distributed using the following:

680M will be given for free to Chronobank TIME holders.
50M will be given for free to TILT holders.
10M will be given for free to bitcointalk members.
60M will be retained by me for development.

How to run the node
Just run delegate_node.exe twice. The first time it runs, it will initialize the database.
The second time it will sync to the blockchain.

How to run the wallet
With the node running, just run your installed client named Evolution.

How to get an account
10M will be given for bitcointalk members.
There is no faucet running so an account can only be created by existing account holders.
If you have a legendary status and you want an account, just let me know and I will create an account for you and give you an account name and password with 10K EVO in it.
All you need to do is to change the password and remove the old private keys so that it will only be you controls your account.

Those who have an account can do the same and give others their accounts and receive referral fees from me.
If you are a jr member of bitcointalk, and someone gave you an account, let me know and I will give you 5K EVO and I will also give 500 EVO to the one who created your account.

This will go on until 10M EVO is exhausted.
There is an explorer built into the wallet and you can monitor the account named bctfree, this is the account holding the 10M EVO for this giveway.

How to get a part of the 680M EVO
Starting at Ethereum block 3,950,000 and every 50,000 blocks, if you hold Chronobank TIME, you will get free EVO.
You will get 100 EVO for every TIME you hold every 50,000 blocks.

The conditions must be followed:

1. To qualify for Block N, your TIME address must have only 1 transaction from block 3,920,000 to block N. This means you must move your TIME to a new address after block 3,920,000 and before block N to get free EVO. This is done to simplify my manual verification and to make sure only those who are interested will get the free EVO. You can let your TIME tokens stay there without any additional transaction and get free EVO every 50,000 Blocks. If you spend your time, you must move it to a new address to qualify for the next checkpoint block.

2. To qualify for Block N, you must have 10 or more TIME tokens in your address. This is to reduce my effort for dust values.

3. You must post here a signed message proving that you own a particular TIME address. You must include in your message your Evolution account, the block number, the EVO tokens you expect to get (for me to easily check), your TIME address, and a signed message to prove that you indeed own that address. If you don't qualify, you will get a reply from me why. If you qualify, you will get your free EVO sent to your account.

This will go on until 680M EVO is exhausted.  
There is an explorer built into the wallet and you can monitor the account named timefree, this is the account holding the 680M EVO for this giveway.

I will process requests on a first-come first-served basis.

Every week, 1M EVO will be distributed proportionally depending on how much TILT you have in your account at https://megatilt.club/
After the weekly rewards are distributed every Sunday, I will take a snapshot of all player balances and distribute 1M EVO to all the players in a proportional way.

If you have any question, just ask. Evolution is a Bitshares clone so most literature of Bitshares must apply.
All accounts named init01 to init51 are the delegates that I run. All the rewards that these accounts get will later be sent to the committee-account. It is basically owned by all EVO holders.

that's right. then you will have to prove that you own that new address where your TIME is by signing a message and emailing it to me.
there is no maximum. you will get 100 EVO for each 1 TIME you have.

I think the concept is very interesting, but i think the premine maybe too much. Also why only legendary members, and not Hero and Sr Members too? There are not that many Legendary members even active i am sure, so distributing the amount to Hero and Senior members too would make more sense.

Luckily, that one is evotion, not evolution. But since they have the EVO ticker, that needs to change.
Perhaps EVC or EVL or something else if available?

i think myetherwallet can sign a message. all major ethereum wallets should have a functionality to sign any message using an address you control.

You only need to hold TIME or TILT to have this coin. No ICO.

I'll worry about this later. Evolution is intended to become a self contained decentralized exchange where all other assets are backed up by EVO and everyone can become a gateway because there are no counterparty risks.

It doesnt matter if there are 800M EVO and I am giving away 740M.
What difference does it make if I will make it 80M and give away 74M?

I will create accounts for legendary members only so that I won't consume too much time creating accounts.
Everyone who gets an account can give others accounts too. And they will get 500 EVO each time those they refer gets 5000 EVO.

Always remember, when you get your account, change your password to get your new private keys and remove the old private keys.
Or even better, use your new account to create a fresh new one.

I think you need to change your ticker before they have something to say on you.

People here will be confused once this one hit the exchanges as you have both the EVO ticker.

How is this different from Waves platform ? Their DEX is already implemented and running.

what is the rule regarding duplicate ticker?

if you are familiar with bitshares, this is the same. it's a lot faster. it can handle thousands of  transactions per second. and assets are contracts for difference. meaning there are no counterparty risks. when you hold assets here, there is always collateral locked up which is more than twice the value.

this is only the second page of the thread.. if your so busy to change the ticker that would take all in all using atom or any other software a total of about 5 minutes ! so if this is keeping you busy  i would hate to see how an exchange would be ran!

it doesnt matter what your rank is as long as the person you give an account to is a jr member or higher.

can you try deleting the object_database and delegate_node_data_dir and try running the delegate_node.exe again.

go to account, permission, account model and put your new password
it will give you a set of keys that is derived from your password.

use those keys and publish the changes.
then in the active permissions and owner permissions you would have 2 keys, one for the old password and one for the new password. you can remove the one for the old password so that you are now sure that it's only you who can access your account.

I deleted the files u said and still the delegate.exe crashed. I installed evolution 1.0.0 too. I tried in windows 10 and windows 8. what should i do?

are you using 64bit windows? because it is needed. also, is there anything in the messages? can you try to see the logs if it says anything?

we are waiting for tilt to go PoS so in the meantime, you can just move it and later move it again to the tilt blockchain.

Ethereum block 95,000
Ethereum block 100,000
Ethereum block 105,000
...
and every 50,000 block thereafter

so every 50,000 block starting at block 95,000 you will get 100 EVO for every 1 TIME you have.

the only conditions are:
that you have 10 or more TIME
that your address has only one transaction from block 92,000 to block N

Now there are EVO, bitUSD, bitBTC, bitTILT, bitTIME that can be traded among each other.
Remember that bit* Assets are smartcoins that will only exist in the Evolution economy if someone is willing to lock up some EVO as collateral.
This makes anyone holding bitUSD, bitBTC, bitTILT, bitTIME free from any counterparty risks because the blockchain will always ensure that there is value backing it up.

Doesn't seem to be any way to sign a message from a hardware wallet like Ledger. Any other way to prove I have Time?

Im not familiar with lykke if you can sign a message. You have to move your TIME and let it stay in the new address without any other activity by block 3,950,000. When block 3,950,000 comes you just post here a signed message proving that you own that address. Include in the message the block number (3,950,000) and your evolution account and how much EVO you expect to receive.

If you move to a MEW wallet, im sure everything will be ok. Im not familiar with lykke so check if you can sign a message there.

First you have to move TIME to a new address before block 3,950,000. That must be the only TIME transaction in your address.

Regarding how to sign a message using nano ledger s, im still figuring out how. I will post as soon as learn it. I also have ledger nano s but i havent tried it yet.

To those who are having a hard time creating a signed message, one alternative to later claim your free EVO is:

When you move your TIME token to a new address, include as an extradata your Evolution account. I will honor it and treat it as proof and link your TIME address to that EVO account and send your free EVO to that address.

Remember, for TIME address to be valid and claim free EVO at block N, there must be one and only one TIME transaction from block 3,920,000 to block N.
Also there must be 10 or more TIME in that address.

N = 3,950,000 , 4,000,000 , 4,050,000 , 4,100,000 .....

you can keep making a claim every 50,000 blocks for as long as there are no additional TIME transactions. otherwise, you will need to move your TIME tokens again to a fresh address.

if you have a valid claim and the account you indicated does not exist in the Evolution network, I will create one for you automatically and pm you new your Evolution account and password and send to that account your free EVO.

it seems there is no way to sign a message from ledger nano in ethereum. my workaround is to move your TIME to a new address and put in the extradata field your evolution account and i will honor it send to that account the free EVO tokens. all other conditions still apply.

while the node is running install and run the wallet

I sure hope deposits and withdrawals are not manual through you. Not because of trust but because it simply can't scale, even with minimal movement like right now.

i would encourage p2p trading with bitXXX assets and they should be almost equal if not equal with their real counterparts.

rember, for a bitAsset to exist in the economy, someone must borrow it and lockup EVO several times its value.
this is just like how bitshares work.

if you lock up 3 USD worth of BTS, you can borrow 1 USD and the blockchain would create it. you will now have 1 bitUSD in your account but 3 USD worth of BTS is locked up until you pay back the 1 USD that you borrowed.

in the event that BTS locked up in collateral would drop in price and go from 3 USD to 1.75 USD, the blockchain would initiate a margin call and use your 1.75 USD in BTS to buy 1 USD to pay back the loan.

i'll try it once again, sorry for being so repetitive. i would like to get EVO as a TIME holder and i would also to 'just' hold those EVO as an investment. what exactly (sending to new address, sign tx) do i have to do (from now on because we're past block 3920000 until block 3950000) to get those EVO? i assume EVO is no eth token so do i need an EVO wallet or account which everyone is talking about? First, you need to download both executables

First run the node. Let it sync a while

then also run wallet at the same time. If it complains about the clock it means it is not synced yet. Hit retry after a few minutes

Then go to the lock icon upper right corner. It should show a login screen. if it asks about wallet or account model, choose account

aside from moving your TIME to that address, you should also need to prove that you indeed own that address. because anyone can claim that they own that address but you are the only one who can prove it by signing a message using that address. :)

you can go on and move your TIME to that address and when block 3,950,000 comes, you can post the proof here.

Hi, I did as you said, I changed the old password, I removed the old keys but when I open the evl account the old keys are still there and the ones created for new password are gone.

being a delegate is not the only way to profit.
also, some delegates would offer most of their profit to their voters.
every token you have represents a voting power.
i think dpos is one of the best consensus methods in cryptocurrency.

There is only one key but how do I know if its linked to my password? I think I really did delete the wrong keys so I have one key but it's for my old password so when I try to change anything it doesn't broadcast the transactions. My new account places orders just fine. I guess my original account evo is lost then? One thing, however, you may have to consider: by forking exchange, you hurt liquidity of your tokens. You need to come up with some way to spin up your DEX.

How to get a part of the 680M EVO
Starting at Ethereum block 3,950,000 and every 50,000 blocks, if you hold Chronobank TIME, you will get free EVO.
You will get 100 EVO for every TIME you hold every 50,000 blocks.

The conditions must be followed:

1. To qualify for Block N, your TIME address must have only 1 transaction from block 3,920,000 to block N. This means you must move your TIME to a new address after block 3,920,000 and before block N to get free EVO. This is done to simplify my manual verification and to make sure only those who are interested will get the free EVO. You can let your TIME tokens stay there without any additional transaction and get free EVO every 50,000 Blocks. If you spend your time, you must move it to a new address to qualify for the next checkpoint block.

2. To qualify for Block N, you must have 10 or more TIME tokens in your address. This is to reduce my effort for dust values.

3. You must post here a signed message proving that you own a particular TIME address. You must include in your message your Evolution account, the block number, the EVO tokens you expect to get (for me to easily check), your TIME address, and a signed message to prove that you indeed own that address. If you don't qualify, you will get a reply from me why. If you qualify, you will get your free EVO sent to your account.

This will go on until 680M EVO is exhausted.  
There is an explorer built into the wallet and you can monitor the account named timefree, this is the account holding the 680M EVO for this giveway.

How do I become a delegate? What is the evo threshold to become one?

if you have an experience running a steem or bitshares delegate, the process is the same. the only difference is the binaries are in windows. if you can become one, i can use some of my voting power to vote for you. we have no delegates yet. and we need 51. you have to make sure your node keeps on running 24/7, though.

Since there are no delegates, I have gone ahead and started a delegate node. Yes, I'm familiar with Graphene witnessing and I have set up everything correctly in config.ini, make sure the delegate-id is right, signing keys match etc. My delegate account is "primeval". I'm currently running this on a PC instead of a cloud server, so it may not be 100% reliable. I'll of course keep it on 24x7. But if it works out well, I'll rent out a server soon.

If you have a hard time synching, please check your timezone and time. Also you can delete everythingand start synching from scratch.

I have moved my delegate nodes to two VPSs. After a few forking events early on, things were going smooth, so I decided to go ahead with it. I'll fire up a couple more delegate accounts soon if all goes well. I'd encourage others to start up delegate nodes as well, there's a nice reward for it.

The seed node seems to be down, can't connect to the chain. Is there only one seed node?

there were two but i saw some blocks pushed but on a fork so i shutdown one. now there's one running smoothly and producing blocks. can you try a resync?

I really see a potential in this coin. But sad to say until now I havent receive my early access code

Thanks. Looks like I got forked again, but at least now there's a seed node to talk to. Had to do a full resync, back online now. Hope we have more delegates on board, I'll definitely provide a seed node in the future.

I'm unable to produce blocks as it keeps saying "waiting for recent block". I'm synced with NTP, but I notice the blocks are generated 4-5 seconds off. Could that be it? Please see if your nodes are synced up.

PS: It started producing again at some point, even though the time is still off sync. Really weird.

Yes, I'm running two delegate nodes successfully. There's an issue where the latencies can sometimes be too high and I'm not able to produce blocks for long periods of time. That can also lead to forking, which needs a replay. But I guess that's simply because right now there are not enough nodes around the world. I'd encourage you to set up a delegate node. :)

I think there are something like 28,000 blocks every day, 51 delegates right now, 5 EVO for each block.

Although actually it's just 2 or 3 different people, most of the delegates are still init as launched by the dev.

I'm using a Windows Server as that's what binaries are available for... Maybe dev can help with building instructions on Linux etc, or you could try using Bitshares' guides. Should work I think.

Nope. Still forked. Replay doesn't work. Trying to use resync-blockchain or deleting the blockchain directory, it basically just gets stuck on 0 blocks. Not sure what's up...

Update: Moved back to my home PC. It's now syncing, just very very slow. Something like 20,000 blocks in the last hour or two... I'll leave it up for 12 hours, let's see if it catches up.

Well, I'd suggest dropping the delegate requirements to 11 or something, reducing the block rewards / times etc. till there's a bit more interest.

actually you can run 51 delegates in only 1 vps if you like. you just add all the witnesses in the config.ini
i will be shutting down my node at the end of the month. if someone is willing to run the delegates, i'll transfer all the coins i control to him.
