What is the main reason behind. why Ethereum is down day by day what is the main reason

Reason behind every pump and dump is simply panic sell from newbie traders started with small price correction after some elite traders pull out their profit.  ;D

Earlier this week, GDAX, the digital currency exchange run by Coinbase, experienced a flash crash in its USD – Ethereum market. While the price recovered quickly, the rapid price movement caused many traders to experience margin calls or stop loss orders, resulting in potentially severe losses. So now investors lost trust and now cashing their ETH because they don't want to lose their investment and don't want to be trap as well.

Not only ethereum, if you make a market analysis for the entire altcoins you'll see most of the coins were almost down. This is just the normal happening and nothing specific. Maybe the panic is a reason and price growth with ethereum is simply big and now this will go even lower based on the experts prediction.

Ethereum is a good way to speculate, but in the end it's all about fundamentals.
We are in a bear market, and people who like to play safe tend to choose the assets with the most solid fundamentals, which at the moment is Bitcoin.

Well, another altcoin is going down too. I heard is from panic sell. But lets hope the prices will recovered again asap

This didn't affect ethereum only but most of the altcoins, bitcoin decreased a little bit as well but It totally make sense, the dominance of bitcoin increased however. The funny thing now is to look at all Ethereum supporters who was predecting a market flippening where all bitcoin users would switch to Ether instead, I believe the network issues that ether has killed their plans and predictions.

The only reason is the fact the msot of the value of ALL the coins is based on speculation and not real use. So after a good up, people want to take there profit and after that goes some panic selling for those who think it is the end of all crypto.

It is not really surprising for this to have happened, of all the cryptos the one that seemed to be in the biggest bubble was Ethereum so it is not surprise that is the coin losing the biggest amount of money at the moment, currently the price is at 250 but I will not be surprised if it went below 200 and maybe even lower than that, after that it will be a good opportunity to buy Ethereum once again.

Some thing just happen anybody in the bitcoin or even the crypto world generally will understands that finding a reason for every events is purely a waste of time because it won't matter as the market have the ability to either go high or low at any time it so pleases without anybody knowing the real reason but the spiral effect we see is the panic sellers who have not been wise enough to hold on for a while before disposing the little they have.

They are saying they will reimburse the dollar value of the ETH customers had before the drop. Any idea what the price was before the crash?
Some have suggested anything from $320 down to $230

There is another crash on Coinbase based on this article besides the one they experienced about a week ago. I think this may have contributed a lot of the price of Ethereum going down fast.

I almost bought a whole lot of ETH when it fell to $268. Luckily I didn't, and am currently waiting to see how low it goes before I buy in.

Just panic sell by newbie.and also few days ago eth pump to high so simple dump its normal.I think it will rise again very soon.you look at all alt coin now all are dumping now.

Why not ask the reason ETH rasing up more than last month ;D? Remember not altcoin or things always growth, need down to rested and comeback in future

Not only ethereum, who have been waiting to buy low could make use of the opportunity and invest on the different altcoins as well the bitcoin. Else hold on for days we might possibly reach $2000 in a short or two because the increasing trend is not observed.

The resilience being shown by Ethereum is surprising. Yesterday, when it dipped to almost BTC0.09 (from BTC0.14 just 24 hours back), I though that a major correction is going to happen. But now it is rising again, and was trading at BTC0.11 when I last checked the exchange rates.

It is not strange. Ethereum has risen %4000 in the last 3 month and you say it downed %30 which one is strange you think ?

I think this correction for ETH isn't over yet. Unless there would be excellent news, many investors are cautious to buy above $300 level. It takes more time to restore confidence or hype sentiment.

ETH is coming back very fast. Increasing nonstop. Just in two days this is incredible movement. From 0.095btc to 0.1195btc for now.

I just read in a Facebook group that it was a false news of ethereum creator that made the panic sell and ETH was down 40% on marketcap and value. Not sure if its true or not, anybody heard about this?

Probably those that are worried are those that did not cash out and instead held thinking Ethereum could rise 8000% or more, I was not invested in Ethereum but if I was I would have sold long time ago, and then buy when the prices got cheaper once again, it was very easy to see it was a bubble and that it was going to burst but some people get blinded by their greed.

It was really a big news of the EatH to down with this big dump because the down in the price of the eth was due to two reasons .
First reason was due to because the network chain of the ETH was in some technical problem ,so many people get scared sold them at low price .
And the second reason was of the fake news about the death of the ETH owner  .
These two things generated the fear in the heart of the ETH holders and they get panic of loss money and due to this reason they sold .
But as everything was fine , so it against cames at its own position of stable price with the improvement of network and reveal of the fake news of death of Owner of ETH .

So it was like continuous phenomena that led to market loss. Everybody thought that it is going down so everyone started selling off their assets which made the condition even poor. That's result of today's ETH price I would say.

Maybe the reason is because the whale and the elite is causing out the coin after a great rise last month and also there a lot of bad rumour about ETH lately, not only ETH that going down but almost all of alt coin is going down even bitcoin is going down, it has given the trader the hard time to earn profit and seems like we need to wait pass august to see improvement, I observe this few days there are not much improvement and the price keep sliding down

These downfall and pump are common in cryptocurrency, Recent maintenance issue and large sale of eth made the downfall.

Once in a while such thing happens in all coins including bitcoins, maybe some big whale go frustrated or planned to bring down the price to gain profit.

And one more silly rumor " Vitalik Buterin died in a car accident" Everything doesn't need to have a valid reasons, Just try to profit from it LOL ;D

Poloniex has not been the most consistent exchange that is for certain, they killed the trollbox but I still see Connection Error 502's a fair bit with that site.

That doesn't help stability of a coin when major exchanges are off for a while on a day to day basis.

That car incident its not really a valid reason but we can really say that it does somehow affect the price. Also to what happen on GDAX when theres a sudden dump of eth price down to 10 cents then rebound up. Im quiet frustrated on whats happening on eth ecosystem as of now and im sure those are ones of the reasons but majorly large sale of ETH and profit securing causing price decrease.

Yes, in recent days my experiences with polo is not so pleasant. Some times back they were taking more than 24 hours to process withdrawal requests and now we are facing down time of services more frequently.

There is no major reasons why Ethereum price keep fell except market prices correction in creating support and resistance pattern for taking profit or cut loses. Ethereum will raise again hope it touch $500 the next move.

Ethereum is promising coin and I belive it will come again the price of 300 dollars each. Dont worry about it if the ethereum price down you had chance to buy more ethereum with low price. Dont sell your ethereum just hold it and keep buying.

To be exact the main reason behind the ethereum fall we are seeing right now is that the price it has is all based only on speculations, and also because of the many ICO's that have occurred that accepts ethereum as payment. It is common with crypto though that dumps like these happen so I know it can recover someday but I think that it will go down more this week and the next coming weeks. I might be wrong though.

Yeah the elite have sold their coins because they get good profit of it and once again they will buy the coins at cheap prices. If we look at the price graph of almost all the cryptocurrency coins almost every coin has dropped its price value after the bitcoin price fall, I think the bitcoin is the mother crypto and the rest depends on the price and market of the bitcoin. By the way the price fall is not a new experience for the cryptocurrency.

Yeah. But sometimes great coins fall hard in the ground just like what happened last year due to the hard fork. I thought that ethereum will be dead already. Waves as well is dumping hard. I can't take to look on my holdings now on that 2 coin. I'm suffering great loss right now.

I hope so Ethereum price will recovery soon, but my prediction need more time to see this happen maybe need 3 month or more but Ethereum price will recovery.

This a very good exemple of emotions on trading...When ETH is bubling up (or any other coin) mostly on puré speculation about the bright future of crypto there are several people explaining and trying to rationalize it. so its the same here. speculate up, take profits down. simple and easy

We could be in the middle of a correction for bitcoin and many altcoins that have had huge gains this year. It is to be expected after all these increases. I agree that it is normal and it's also a time to start buying if you can.

With 3 months, not only Ethereum recovery, all altcoins on market and Bitcoin will comeback and rising up again as in May. Before this recovery, maybe we can see a huge issue about Bitcoin can breakdown altcoins and go to real value

I think ETH got too much of a hyip going on in past and it was going to pop some day. The panic selling of new traders and investors is not new to the crypto world. As far as I have seen people still doubt on BTC, so it is normal for people to do panic selling.

I think no need to wait for 3 months to see big growth in eth, within next month the price will up. I don't know what the exact reason why the eth value down in market but because of bitcoin the eth value may go down. Let's wait for some time we will get good days. Don't get panic and don't sell your coins for a low rate.

Of course people who have invested in the Etherium they will be worried about their investment and one should be worried for the investment in any of the alts or the bitcoin. I don’t find any greed in it. If investment and earning money is greed then you should leave all this and sit a side.

There are people who only earn money from the signature campaign and then behave like they are one the huge investors. We have heard it about the bitcoin as well that it’s a bubble and shit like that so was there any bubble? If it was then bitcoin price would be around $1500 today.

Did you bought at the top of the bubble? That is a very common mistake, but when you see a market that has reached incredible gains the only thing you can do is to wish you have been there and nothing more, if you try to join, you will be sure to lose money since whales will be now happy with their gains and will start to cash out, the only thing you can do at the moment is to hold and wait for a recovery and to learn from this mistake.

Well, maybe the price will recovery and rising up in short-term, but I can't sure 100% the price can still alive with status about Bitcoin in next time. If investor scared the crypto market, they will withdraw their funds to FIAT and big breakdown will happening

Though the price haven't shown much Signs of an increase, still it's over the $250 tag. So the price will start to increase and reach $500 by the year end which is the prediction of most of the ethereum users.

the fact that price of something is still over something doesn't mean it will rise. it may rise is different though. with the things that are going on with ethereum the chances of that "may" are very small.
and with all these ICO funds that are ridiculously big numbers and when they start liquidating these funds the chances of a crash become even bigger.

and since this is all speculation, you are working with this chances, and chances of a big crash is higher than chances of any kind of big rise.
