The GIM Token: Try our working PoC
GIM tokens are required to run all functionalities including donations, votes, bets and custom contracts. Each functionality is a run by a trustless Ethereum smart contracts tailor-made for streamers.

Crowdsale detail:

I've been a fan of eSports specially in Dota 2. But i am confused. Your ANN states that project will be a Decentralized live stream, but on the whitepaper, it says a Decentralized Betting System. So this is Twitch + E-Gaming Bets combined? Will there be any escrow for this?

If there is unsold 70m GIM, how can we make sure you guys regulate these? Isn't burning a good option? Or a fix amount/percentage? Because if there are few sold tokens, i will be worried because you hold over 70% of the total supply.

Streamers have very large audience but the revenues they get from them is relatively low. An interesting statistic is:
in traditional sports, in the US, the average yearly revenue per fan is $52
in eSports, it's $2.
This will change of course as the industry evolves but monetization is definitely low.
One issue is ads-blockers, another is fierce competition between streaming channels: as soon as a game is over many viewers will leave to watch another channel.
So to answer your question, streamers (several of whom are part of the team btw) need a way to entertain their audience between games, make it more sticky. Gimli will help them do just that. They will also get the GIM commissions they set up for each functionality on their channel. In terms of potential revenues this opens up a whole new monetization vertical


We are an stream interaction platform, we do not plan on hosting streams. The escrow for betting will be handled by smart contracts.

That's a point that's currently heavily debated internally and will be updated shortly. We will not end up like BAT :) Burning is definitely a good option, but it will also give the team a disproportionate amount of tokens. Distributing all the tokens to the fraction of everyone's contribution would be the answer but we want to prevent whales as much as we can to enhance distribution of the sale.

Smart Contracts. That's what ethereum is use for. You should read the whitepaper it was already stated and explained there.

I suggest escrow to them and they replied it is heavily debated internally. OP correct me if i'm wrong. This is from my first post on this thread. It will definitely build a trust between them and future investors. I know many of the users here are into gaming.

As you can see, the OP's account is newbie only. So escrow is really needed for this project to attract more investors.

Why did you plan to use Eth contracts for this project? What’s wrong with building your own coin and not having to rely on Ethereum? First things first, the idea is very noble as it gives the power back to gamers and allows them to monetize and maximize revenues. Also it gives people a chance to place wagers on the different gamers which sounds like a win-win scenario to me. With live betting and interacting activities in between, the app provides a holistic experience for all users and it is my major reason why I am so excited about Gimli. 

For those seeing the short ICO period as too short, I think you are looking at this in a single dimension. The short duration is good for enthusiasts as we can buy the tokens before the word gets out there and everyone's rushing for a piece of the action. 

For a start, i think this platform is amazing and it will go a long way in bridging that gap of the average yearly revenue per fan in esports. The streaming audience is too large to be generating an average of 2$ while traditional sports generate 52$. I am expecting the industry to evolve rapidly in a few years and I hope Gimli will be the main player driving that transformation.

Though the ICO is still a bit off, the project deserves more love I think. 2 pages doesn't do right by Gimli ambitions

Sometimes good projects are left behind by others who are just giving airdrops or free coins. So good marketing strategy is needed if the project is really promising and doing their business in legal ways. Maybe thru time this will gain attention from gamers.

The unsold tokens will be locked for a period of at least one year. Meanwhile, you will be able to trade freely. Since the market is going to be way bigger in a year, we could think of doing another ICO to get additional funding to grow Gimli, for example.

Of course, the share of tokens belonging to the founders is also locked up for a year.

Something odd is happening here, in the past 3 pages, a lot of comments came up from different accounts - in a very short time frame, all from different accounts, but with exactly the same grammar style (short sentences with low complexity, no punctuation in the end of sentences) - and most of them have the same message ("not great, but ok"). I just finished reading the Gimly whitepaper and I have to say that the project is really interesting. It's like a Twitch with an incorporated betting system that and the remuneration is based on the amount betted so it's very fair and it's time controlled. It would be nice to have a roadmap since I believe the platform is still under development and I wanted to know when the betting platform will be fully functional.

Gimli's marketing was not efficient and they made sone mistakes. But a quick analysis of the two projects shows that Gimli uses the advantages of the blockchaini while UnikoinGold had used the ICO process only to raise money. Just waiting few months and I am sure you will be suprised by the valuation of the two compagnies...

Be careful, this project is scam.
Checked on telegram - community is very angry because only one thing which GIM did since ICO is "new logo" which really costs 5$. No news, no updates, no exchanges, no working on project and marketing. Only one thing which they said is just "trust the team" and nothing else.
People want to sell tokens, and they agree to sell it with minus, but nobody want to buy it. Etherdelta is full of SELL and no volume on BUY.

This coin is only in etherdelta and this is huge problem.
Team doesn't want to make contact with exchanges who list every shitcoin (yobit,cryptopia). They don't work at all. A lot of investors have 5-10-15 eth in GIM tokens and they can't exit

The roadmap and team is fake.
Roadmap is still listed as it was, but nothing has been done.
The team from the ICO is mostly out, it was a made up team to raise money, we invested in guys that are not there anymore. They removed them from the website so angry investors wont harass them.
We missed all the rallies because the team was too cheap to list their token on an exchange. They thought they knew better than the market.

It should be illegal to raise money with fake promises, fake teams and nothing ready.

They changed the minimum cap while the ICO was running, they should have legally refunded every ICO investor as it was promised on telegram, when everybody wa going to ask for a refund they changed their mind and refunded nobody.

I think that this project has very little chance of success. On the market there are stronger projects of the same subject with a stronger team and more funding

You can try etherdelta/forkdelta using smart contract of token to find the market. When there is no exchange then it is best place to trade but I think rates will be lower. There was no news and zero activity here that means project has done apparently. I don't have idea but based on this thread I can can this. You can try one of those exchanges if have luck will get buy orders.
