Introduction

XP is a dual purpose digital asset used for achievements and progression and an open decentralized digital currency.

Gamers all over the world earn experience points (XP) in games and have done for many years, however, when you earned XP, you were not able to spend them, donate them, or exchange them for anything purposeful until now.

XP are experience points, a unique digital currency based on Bitcoin’s blockchain technology that enables transactions to be made on an open ledger recording transactions by amount, date and time, plus preventing fraudulent activity such as double spending.

This coin was launched with the basic POW/POS core code ONLY. A custom API and technologies will be developed with future partners to meet their scope of technical requirements. The system will be intuitive so that any software developer can integrate the XP wallet and use existing API commands to allow XP transactions to occur.

Please note: any mention of Steam, Origin, Uplay, Playstation, Microsoft, Nintendo or any other brand names and/or the use of logos are to represent target partners and markets and do not constitute any announcements of current and future partnerships. We will be working to establish relationships with software developers of games, education, recreational activities, merchants and more to integrate XP rewards.

I like this coin, but I think the main problems the current dev should focus on, is preventing a runnaway hyperinflation similar to sprouts coin. This seems to be something they are addressing with the new pos algo. Does anyone know the staking reward percentage?

At this moment we do not know, however, we will find out as work continues with the development of the new algorithm. Also if anyone is experiencing any trouble with the wallets, please inform us as that's is our main priority.

We are not necessarily looking to burn XP as our priority is using XP as a utility coin for rewards esp. for an in-game token. Our mission is quite different from other cryptocurrencies trying to make a name as a new currency standard to replace fiat. If you've played a lot of RPG's & MMORPG's then you'll understand that those kind of games are usually programmed to generate large amount of XP, during gameplay. Being defined as a "Utility Coin" will give us the edge in demand that we need.

Hey, this coin looks like it could be a hidden little gem. Definitely going to buy some DOGE to throw into it. However, I do have a couple of questions: is there a limit to how much XP can exist? As XP is not (currently) being handed out in any games or situations, is there any way to accumulate other than to buy? How was existing XP created? Are there any talks with game devs or any games slated for XP integration soon? Will a faucet situation similar to Digibyte and league be utilized? Thanks!

Only thing i don't like is the plan of the reversed staking. So let me get this right, people that invest less, get more? Should it not be a %, regardless of how much u own? Because if i get more with smaller wallets i will just split up my holdings in to many pc's.

You can find that in the first page as all of the wallets are as they were, right now we are in the processed of upgrading all of the wallets. Unfortunately I haven't been able to test the Linux Wallet as I'm a PC fan, and have access to Mac's. I've test the Android wallet and it will also need upgrading.

Currently there is not Max supply with XP as it is a utility coin. We are also in the process of developing a new bounties reward system for other ways to earn other than purchasing. I am not sure where the existing premine came from and will answer that for you when I receive that answer. Before revision Brownskin games was a studio to seemed to be involved, however, we are looking to earn new studio interest in a with non contractual partnerships by creating a central faucet api that developers can openly use to integrate into their game, so it will be something like Digibyte, however, still very different.

Currently I'm testing the old Mac Wallet versions that were created, and their seems to be some reports of crashing, and I've personally experienced the wallet not staking, I will see if we can get this fixed before the new wallet upgrades are complete.

Reverse Staking may not be the best term, however, the goal is to rescale the stake distribution percentage among all active wallets that are staking. Smaller wallet amounts will simply earn interest at a much better rate and larger wallet amounts will have their distribution rescaled in order for distribution to work more efficiently is all. Large wallet amounts will still earn a fantastic rate. Ex. Wallet A. 1000 XP can earn at least 50% in interest within 24 hours, at this time, 1000 XP will earn at such a rate. This just an example, we will see what a fair scale is for all once we cross that bridge in our progression.

Hello, I'm figuring that information out at the moment, even though we are currently getting wallet upgrades, I will inform everyone what that is up until the updates.

Coins must be 24h in wallet to be matured, do not know the minimum amount but i now have 632.000.000 and staking is going well, very well. Going for 1 billion and then stock up on ESP again.

@Hanterisaan, How does Esp stake work if you don't mind me asking? How long does it take to stake, and how much is needed?

I have 10.000.000 esp now but staking does not work for me. I have 2 friends that have couple 100.000.000 esp and for them staking works very well.

Much Appreciated, I want to make sure that XP has the best PoS out of all other cryptos. When I asked the community I was told that in order to began staking coins must be in wallet for 1 month, which is too harsh if that is indeed true.

Evangelo if you refer to esp about the coins being one month in your wallet, it is not treu. They just have to mature so that takes about a copple hours. The stake rate is 25% annual. But atm staking for smaller wallets is allmost impossible which will be fixed with the next update.

Really excited to see that the new website is finally finished for XP Coin! I am really proud of the work the team is currently putting into this project. As an early adopter of this coin I am currently using it for a small wrestling role playing game on the internet I am running on http://efedzone.com/. E-Fed Zone is a community people who participate in E-Fed's which are kind of like D&D role playing games but set in the world of wrestling. The game is purely text based and it relies on good creative writers in the for of a DM and role players who participate in the game. I am currently rewarding people 1 XP coin for every word they write in a role play for their character.

The challenge has been getting a non-technical community to understand crypto-currency and to buy into the concept of SteemIt social media platform and XP Coin. So far we have a roster of 8 creative writers who participating and we starting to have a lot fun. Our plan is to tell good stories and build up a following on SteemIt and Twitter while growing our roster and user base.

After finishing the purse, POS Mining does not work at all. Do not repeat my mistake, do not invest in this shit. Several developers who in turn sell their stocks of coins and do not do anything to promote the coins.

The rough draft road map is pretty consistent with where we are at development wise. We are focused on software upgrades which are due sometime this month. The modification of the PoS distribution percentage is our first priority as well wallet synchronization speed. Afterwards we will attend to the Linux and andriods wallets, while also preparing for large scale marketing efforts as we build our the Official decentralized XP Reward Faucet for all entities to use and connect to their projects via the api we are going to incorporate. Our future plans may evolve during development. As for now everything on Page 1 of the thread is in play.

Please consider what you are saying, first of all, I was here before you were supporting XP when there was close to no volume, because of myself and a few others understood how the nova exchange worked, we were able to influence the markets to buy XP. Because XP is cheap, inexpensive, and has no max supply stemming from a huge pre-mine and also is open source, if makes it a great utility coin to buy. Is your wallet eligible for mining? Do you have a balance? if So, has your balance remained in your wallet for 24 hours? The PoS for PC/Mac are working as I've specifically been testing these past 2-3 weeks.

No I'm not, do you have something against the Russian people? What I can guarantee is that software comes first, with our software which is decentralized as this coin is, video games on any platform will be welcomed and can be integrated easily using the faucet api. Staking works fine for me and I have multiple users for my role playing game who have downloaded the wallet who have had no issues staking ether. I have used it to pay out coin's for their participation in the game and they have received them with no problem.

This is just mine and my role playing communities experience since we started using XP Coin. Take for what it is but I believe this Tukan guy spreading fear for some reason. When I bought my first $40 dollars of XP Coin it wasn't even worth .00001 and it was ranked 800th on the Coin Market Cap chart. I think that the new XP Coin team has done a good job so far considering where the coin currently stands.

Okay, send your coins back to your exchange account, and send them back to your wallet. The PoS does work, when you receive your coins allow them to sit for 24 hours. After they've been in your wallet for 24 hours, check the "Minting" tab, check it until you see a "blue" colored transaction. If you can please send me pictures of each event, send me a pic of your deposit in the overview and send me a pic when it has been 24 Hours.

I have now bought up to 60 million coins and transferred one deposit to my account now to see how it goes.

biggest problem with novaexchange is that it offers exchange with low value crypto like piggy/mooon/doge...

In the past i considered that to be a problem to. But if you look at ESP it really does not have to be. All we need is a good community and a dev that is doing something. So far it looks ok. If the dev can even only make half of his roadmap reality we will hit 1 sat without a problem.

Im new to XP. I got the wallet and have been staking my coins but it is showing me a strange output for my expected minting. It is showing a negative number for what will be minted. Is this a GUI error or something else? Link below is Image from wallet. Can provide more info if needed.

Otherwise the wallet seems to work fine. From what I have read it seems POW is dead for this coin, CORRECT? Will mining from the QT wallet give coin?
How many coins are you staking and minting? I see an average of 6 connections to the wallet at a time over the past 5 or six days. When will the POS calculations change? Thanks in advance.

- The negative balance is normal, it will change over time and become a positive number (change timespan to 24 hours/7 days to see the number change).

- POW is indeed over, to bad for me cause i have 8 GTX1070 that could have been thrown at this lol.

- I currently stake with 1.005.000.000 XP. Gets me roughly between 4.000.000 and 1.000.000 per day. This number starts big when i deposited 1.000.000.000 and goes down when
  stakes are getting smaller (staking amount gets split in two after every stake, 1.000.000.000 becomes 2* 500.000.000, 2* 500.000.000 becomes 4* 250.000.000 and so on.
  When stakes become to small for my likings i just send complete wallet to a new adress and start over again. ;-)

That sounds kind of broken, doesn't it? Circumventing the system as it's intended to be used doesn't seem right.

Seeing my stakes go down every day is what does not seem right to me. I just found a way to fix it. That being said, with the future upgrade this will no longer be rquired because smaller amounts will have more chance in staking.

Why is it cheaper to buy XP with doge and more expensive to buy with BTC?

Close the wallet first.

Go to the folder that contains the blockchain (usually it is c:/Users/*the user account you are using*/appdata/roaming/XP). If the appdata map is not sowing, set in map options to show hidden files.

If you are having trouble connecting to peers, at novaexchange.com at the bottom of the trading page for XP is a link called "addnodes" click on the link and copy these into a text file and save it as XP.conf and put this in the XP folder found by searching "%appdata%" on windows. The wallet is slow to start up on my computer and seems to take about 15-20 minutes.

I like the purple XP logo that the wallet uses better than the green one on xpcoin.io Just my opinion, but I am able to take the purple logo more serious for some reason.  :P

I screwed up and bought a shit ton of coins at 0.00000001 btc each.

Ok, so I decided to just keep the coins I bought and just wait it out.

However, I downloaded the wallet and I let it download the blocks and then I transferred 5,000,000 coins to test it. I waited for 4 days and staking never worked. The transaction matured for well over 2 days and it was green but still nothing going on and the stake is 0.

I did some reading and someone said to transfer the coins back to the exchange and resend them and it might work so I did that and it's been 2 days now and the transaction is also mature and no staking going on, nothing.

Is there anything that I need to do to in order to stake other than having the coins in the wallet and the wallet open?

What am I missing?

Did you put a password on the wallet? If yes, make sure to unlock it. I get stakes on a regular basis. The fact i have over 1.000.000.000 should be irrelevant because it splits amount up, now i am staking  with a lot of smaller amounts.

That is 100% correct. But if you have a password on the wallet, go to Setting -> wallet security -> Unlock wallet (for mining). It will not mine if it is locked.

yeah my assumption. the mining keep just for sha-256 they limit it. and Only for minting....but this will hard. hope they fixed like old times. if they not wanna dump just make per mine decrease to 0.1-5 per block.... ;D

When that happens, the amount of coins that stake will split in two, ie: if you had 1.000.000 coins staking, after they minted you wil have 2* 500.000 staking, after those mint 4* 250.000 and so on.

There is a good amount of volume with ltc on Nova exchange.  It is what led me here.  Price is way under 1 btc satoshi.  There are plans for a swap?  Any date on when that would happen?

Maybe allow the community to vote on the swap ratio?  It looks like there are a fair amount of people here.  Obviously a swap would reduce the number of coins and create some hype, driving up value.  I'm all for it  ;D

My only question now is, just how many should I try to purchase?

We are still checking out our options. Today we have an interesting meeting with members from a game development studio about how we are going to approach using XP as an in game currency. We'd like to integrate with as many systems and api's as possible. However, in time we will complete our goals, we are currently working with a developers to revise the PoS algorithm and next the wallet sync speed. I have noticed Coinmarketcap.com is sometimes inaccurate with coins that are not paired with BTC at the exchanges. The owner of coinmarketcap.com is a really great guy and could probably give you better answers! IMO at least one of these if not several, gaming coins are going to do very well.
