Title: Owners of GTX 1070, what is your hashrate?
Post by: Larz952002 on July 30, 2017, 03:43:08 PM
I saw the thread for 1060's and thought why isn't there a thread for 1070.   I used CCminer 2.0 to benchmark all of my hashrates on an ASUS DUEL OC 1070 with stock settings.  I did try to do CCminer 2.1 but it kept crashing due to memory leaks.

When I run CCminer 2.1, I am using ZEC and average about 350 Sol/h.

This is what I got on CCminer 2.0

that was my hashrate using ccminer 2.1 on flypool.  I am using EWBF and getting like a 420 Sol/h using stock settings on the card.   Are you overclocked and if so, what are your settings?

Me too, Gigabyte Windforce 1070 by using EWBF around 420 Sol/h for zcash in windows, and 440 Sol/h for zcash in ubuntu. At stock clock, never tried overclocked yet.

GTX 1070 i usually run +100 Core, +500-600 Memory 75% Power with a constant fan speed to keep Temp under 65 C. This has been netting 450-490 Sol/s per unit, and 130-150 watts. Running EWBF miner on equihash.

At 100 W
Claymore dual ETH + SC v.9.7
26.5 MHs ETH
215 MHs SC (not sure, don't remember with precision and not my miners with me present time).

Does anyone mines Siacoin on GTX 1070? If so, please drop some OC settings for best hashrate.

This is no longer stable with a higher value. Moreover for algo equihash, it does not benefit enormously CoreClock and your core need lot of power.

So I reduced to maximum this one to be able to push to max MemClock, on the specs it is written +2000 MemClock max, but I did not manage to push higher.

The only thing I have not tried is to increase PowerLimit  above the default limit of 150W to 171W max per GPU to push the MemClock higher. My current configuration with 2 x 750W EVGA supernova 2, get push to 1360W when PowerLimit is a 150W per GPU ( 8 x ASUS 1070 )

Please try to add skunk algorithm for Signatum coin. I have tested with my 1070 by using ccminer 2.2 = 19mh/s stock clock. Then tried palginmod ccminer = 26mh/s stock clock. It is good if you can update all your tested algorithm with palginmod (or any other mod) as well, then we have a clear picture how good 1070 performs  8)

I prefer ASUS versus GIGABYTE, but the factory quality is the same i think.
U just have to take care, wath model you buy.
Cause u cant edit vbios on 1xxx series.

I too am mining ETH at around 31MH each with SIA dual mined at 500 MH.
Whats your sols/h while mining Zcash? Just wanna double check with calculator. Considering switching soon.

I'm running 6 gtx 1070's at 31mh each mining Ethereum
-65 on core
+595 on memory
70% power running 65-70 degrees
725watts for the entire rig

I would change from ethuream to Zcash.  2 dollar increase and NVidia does much better than what you are currently getting

I too am mining ETH at around 31MH each with SIA dual mined at 500 MH.
Whats your sols/h while mining Zcash? Just wanna double check with calculator. Considering switching soon.

I guess signatum is the most profitable coin to mine with nvidia compared to ZEC or ETH as for now. You can check the signatum profit calculator.

Using Claymore 9.8 in Win 8.1, eth mining only.

afterburner core -200 mem +750

I get 34.5 mh/s for 1070

My whole rig is 3 x 1070 and 3 x 1060 (6gb) and with similar afterburner settings to above on all cards,

170mh/s about 800W fro whole rig.

I average around 430 Sols/h with no overclock per 1070

But how many in the overclocked form? I think it's still necessary to disperse through msi burner by 10 percent

I have a Gigabyte GTX 1070 Windforce that I tried everything in Ethereum and only get 2.5 Mhash. However it works great in Zcash and I am keeping it in Zcash with the following data:

Core clock +100
Memory +500
Fan speed 90%
TDP 75%
Hashrate 435-449 Sol/s it is within this area with EBWF Cuda Miner 0.3.4 version.

I have the same overclocking settings only fan speed at 85%, I think this is the optimal setting

Hey Guys, do you know if the brands of memory of 1070 are only Micron and Samsung?
I'm going to buy my second 1070 but I'm afraid to get a hynix one

Great sharing, I was wondering will you get more hashrate if mining ETH alone?

claymore dual miner 9.8 = 30mh/s eth + 705mh/s sia

marlin 1.0 =  1688 mh/s siacoin

ewbf 0.3.4 = 467 sol/s zec

Using Claymore 9.8 in Win 8.1, eth mining only.

afterburner core -200 mem +750

I get 34.5 mh/s for 1070

My whole rig is 3 x 1070 and 3 x 1060 (6gb) and with similar afterburner settings to above on all cards,

170mh/s about 800W fro whole rig.

You get 34.5mh for eth mining on 1070 gtx? That is very strange, never seen someone have that high results on any clock, even on +1000 for meme.
I am very confused about that result. What brand of card do you use? Some other datas? Screen shots please

My setting: power limit 80%, +100 core, + 200 mem, I get ~435 Sol/s.

And Are there anyone try to modify intensity value. I set all to 64, but when I test by changing some, it seems the hash rate does not change.

Yes, I played with intensity before, seems like only very low intensity 1 or 2 makes the difference, other value seems the same hash rate...

I noticed after i updated yesterday driver to latest nvidia driver - my cards no longer hold my overclock(i've got Gigabyte GTX 1070 GAMING-8GD)
I don't remember previous version of driver that i used, but they used to work on +620 memory settings. And now they are stable only at +590

What version of nvidia driver gives you the best\stable hashrate?

Reading all this here -makes me feel like buying two 1070 is better than getting 1 x 1080ti

For example you guys are getting ~ on average 400-450 sol - with 1070 single out of box. The 1080ti is getting 700-740 with +150 core and +300 memory.

Skein you are getting 450-550 - 1x 1070

and 1080ti  get 900-990 - with overclock.

Cost wise 1080ti is around what 900-1k

Dual 1070 similar cost ?

Problem is, you can only fit 3 sets of 1070s in a 6 card rig, you can fit 6 1080tis.  Which means you need to buy twice as many boards/chips/ram/ssd/psu to house the same number of cards...
If you are only going to run the 2 cards in a pc then I guess sure, you'll get more bang for your buck, but in bulk the ti wins.

Oh I see what you mean now- So dual is indeed better - especially with currency in downtrend- one would benefit from buying something that has quicker ROI.

I have these slots.

Slot 1: PCI-Express x16 Gen 3i
Slot 2: PCI-Express x4 Gen 2
Slot 3: PCI-Express x16 Gen 3i
Slot 4: PCI-Express x1 Gen 2
Slot 5: PCI-Express x16 Gen 3i

and 1500 watt PSU

in my PC - what does that translate into?

It's an Alienware Area 51

Seems like you might be able to go with 5 GPUs depending on the bios settings available to you.  You would need risers, video cards, and probably want to pull your board out of the case and set it up somewhere you rig up your cards with risers.  Also need to make sure you will be able to power 5 cards you want to run with that PSU (Ti's typically take 2x(6+2) pin connectors each).

How?

Do you over look the algorithm and coin after the hashrate? With groestl algorithm, 1070 can reach 36mh/s easily with stock clock. 40 mh/s should not be an issue with OC.

Anybody mining with Zotac Minis?
1070s are hard to find, but I can get the Zotac for a good price and would like to know what hashrate people are getting?

I dont want to dig forum for you, but u can go on this Zotac mini, Zotac is a nice brand and can handle nice OC.
Of course is not a AMP edition but it will do the job. Maybe u need a proper air flow with this one, that all i think.

But zotac mini with single fan's temperature will be a bit higher, it is very much depends on your room temperature if you max the OC.

I have 6 Gainward 1070 Phoenix cards. 5 of them with GS sign on the corner of the card or no sign at all are at 30.7 mh. The sixth card is with GLH sign and I'm getting 32.5 mh. It is pricier too.

I have 4x1070 Gigabyte 8 GB rig and i only tried following for now:

Claymore ETH+Sia:
mem +600
core - 100
power 70%
I get from 30.8-31.5 MH ETH and around 480 KH for SIA

Signatum:
mem -100
core +122
power 70%

I get 29.3 - 30 MH per card

I believe I can manage a little better results if I overclock cards individually. It seems that I have one weaker card which limits my overclocking in bulk.

I have uninstalled the software which can check for this in the meantime. But I checked when I was setting the rig and I remember it was not Samsung (I believe the best one for OC). All 4 cards have same memory, I think micronis, so that is not the reason for different results.

My Palit Superjetstream gets 475-495 sol/s with EWBF 0.3.4 miner. My overclock is core+114 and memory+480. After installing the new drivers my hashrates dropped and the card was less stable - I used to be getting consistent 495-505 sol/s and can overclock to core+144 and memory+536. My power consumption now is around 180w.

My 1070 FE can only do 422 sol/s with PL 75, Core + 125, Mem +700.  Temp is steady at 66.

My EVGA Superclock does 446 sol/s with PL 75, Core + 150, Mem +700.  Temp is steady at 56.

Both are running EWBF 0.3.4 miner  Latest drivers.

ZEC:
EWBF 0.3.4b
ASUS STRIX 1070 O8G (Micron): Core+100 [1733MHz], Mem+0 [2002MHz], 70% PL, 61°C, ~415 Sol, ~3.5 Sol/W
Gigabyte 1070 Windforce OC (Hynix): Core:+175[1732MHz], Mem+0 [2002MHz], 67% PL, 62°C, ~425 Sol, ~3.6 Sol/W

ETH
Claymores Dualminer 0.97
ASUS: Core-200, Mem+600, 61% PL, low 50°C, 31,xx MH/s (More + on mem and i get invalid shares)
Gigabyte: Core-200, Mem+650, 61% PL, high 50°C, 31,xx MH/s (More + on mem possible, but i dont want to)

Can anyone of you try to drop only their Memory to +0 for ZEC and see if it changes anything? I dont get a single Sol more if I overclock it from +0 - +700Mhz

When you push a card beyond its overclocking limits its starts reducing its speed.
Try something in between and do only one parameter at a time (so move core clock to 0 and adjust memory till you dont get any increase and back it off by 25. Next try tweaking the core clock then once you have that dialed in play with the PL).

Cooler ambient temps help cards gain some performance too (atleast in my setup).

Highly dependent on each card, i have 8x 1070 Asus Dual OC(+ Some AMD`s), ordered at the same time from the same batch with Micron memory, also environment temperature makes some differences.
At the current time in a large room with +30C environmental temp the cards preforms from 440 to 470 Sol/s for Zcash(When room is at +20C, the same cards preform around 445-480 Sol/s), GPU temperatures varies from 51C upto 68C, those that perform around 440 Sol/s are also the same ones that have a higher temperature. Dual Eth+Sia results in around 30.5-32Mh/s and around 350 for Sia.
Seperate optimization for each card, but lets say around 95% Power, +150 Core and +650 Mem on Zcash, and Around 82% Power, +0 Core and +650 Mem on Eth+Sia.

I have two rigs... one is 7x ASUS DUAL OC GTX 1070s.

I get about 460 sol/sec on EWBF 0.34 on Equihash, and 30.5MH/sec on Claymore dualmining Equihash and Sia (total of 214MH/sec for the rig), at around 145W per card.

The other rig is 5x Gigabyte Windforce GTX 1070 and 1x MSI Duke GTX 1070.
For Equihash, the Gigabytes get around 470-480, and the MSI can reach 500 - but these cards are much heavier on the power draw, even with power turned down.
On Claymore dual-mining ETH and Sia I get around 31.5MH/sec (total of around 188MH/sec for the rig).

Great performance but I would suggest the DUALs if electricity cost is a big factor for you.

What I am curious about is Lyra2z settings. My Gigabyte and MSI rig together gets about 9000kH/sec (averageing 1500kH/s per card) when mining ZCoin.
I'm not at all sure what the best overclock settings for this algo are, so any input would be appreciated.

About to pull the trigger this weekend for my second rig - six 1070s, but wondering which brand gives the best cost per hash per watt ratio. I've seen current favourites here are Strixx and G1 cards, with some EVGA here and there.

What about Gaming X's? Or Armor cards?

About to pull the trigger this weekend for my second rig - six 1070s, but wondering which brand gives the best cost per hash per watt ratio. I've seen current favourites here are Strixx and G1 cards, with some EVGA here and there.

What about Gaming X's? Or Armor cards?

Ive been running 6x Armor cards for a while now, got no complaints on them. Each card pulling about ~460 sol/s, cost per hash per watt varies greatly depending on electricity and price of cards where you live :o

How much more should I push the core clock? I'm mining dhash@26.7 MH and decred@855 MH

Core is +200, Mem +550 Power 75%

My dials in Afterburner are like an inch under the base clock indicator for gpu core... do you think i could safely get +300 on a core?

2-EVGA 1070 Hybrids, PL 65%, +75 CC, +740 MC, 0.00v boost
4-EVGA 1070 Gaming Black, PL 76%, +75 CC, +740 MC, 0.00v boost

Dual Mining ETH/DCR to get a total of 186MH/s ETH, 2.3GH/s DCR, 900W for my rig.

Been running a few months and only restarts every few days.

What is your Temp Limit set to for Gaming black 1070's?

Got my card in, up and running.

Power 80%
Core +100
Memory +400
Fan Spd 75%
Steady at 58 degrees C

daggerhash 26.5 MH/s
decred 847 MH/s

First clock changes, will see how it runs overnight and add more.

Looks ok so far guys? (Mining on NiceHash)

Worth playing with the -dcri setting with -dcri 120 I get about 30.5mhs eth and 1ghs decred

You are getting in dual 30.5 ETH and 1ghs dcr in dual?
That is awesome result, will try this settings, but i doubt it can go so high...

are you using the nicehash gui? or using claymore? if using claymore just add -dcri 120 to you command line, if using nicehash you might have a setting somewhere for extra miner commands

Thanks for your reply. Here in the great north I can get Armor cards for about $490 each and I only pay $0.09 per kWh.

How much power does a card pull off the wall?

Also, if you don't mind, i'd like to know your clock settings and PL.

I have started collecting all the OC settings for various cards; started with GTX 1060 (currently using them).

I would need more information from our community so that we can reduce wasting time on searching and tuning; use that valuable time for others.

You can PM me or Post a reply on this post or request on this post :

I have 4x1070 Gigabyte 8 GB rig and i only tried following for now:

Claymore ETH+Sia:
mem +600
core - 100
power 70%
I get from 30.8-31.5 MH ETH and around 480 KH for SIA

Signatum:
mem -100
core +122
power 70%

I get 29.3 - 30 MH per card

I believe I can manage a little better results if I overclock cards individually. It seems that I have one weaker card which limits my overclocking in bulk.

I get the same results mining ETASH but how do you get
~30MH / card mining skunk?

I only get around 25MH with my gtx 1070 - got a few different brands but all the same hashrate
What Miner do you use?
Mining on Windows or Linux?

I have two rigs... one is 7x ASUS DUAL OC GTX 1070s.

I get about 460 sol/sec on EWBF 0.34 on Equihash, and 30.5MH/sec on Claymore dualmining Equihash and Sia (total of 214MH/sec for the rig), at around 145W per card.

Mate, can you share your OC settings for ASUS DUAL OC GTX 1070s please

Cause in linux your setting for memory is about GPUMemoryTransferRateOffset

So for basic, transfer rate of your memory = Memory Freq x 2

So OC on Windows will be

Core +190 / Memory +600

What is your model by the way +190 on Core seems impressive ...

So I finally built my first mining rig and I'm currently testing with one single 1070 Zotac Mini

I have spent several hours trying all sorts of OC combinations and it looks like boosting the memory doesn't do anything to my hashrate however I'm gaining hashrate from boosting the GPU core

I'm using the latest version of EWBF and I'm getting about 425 sols/s at 100% TDP (150w) however I'm planning to use the following settings as it is the best optimization for efficiency:

Hash: 360 Sol/s
TDP: 60% (90 Watts)
No Memory OC
Core OC: 1914mhz (+205)
Temperature: 65 degrees
Fan speed: 25% (Auto)
Efficiency: 4 sol/w

Is it normal that memory OC doesn't do anything to the speed ?

All depend on algo you are mining ;)

Some is related to GPU dependence other use MEMORY.

Helios45:  I would not goto 60% TDP on the 1070.  Hashrate drops a lot at that Power %.
Try with 65 or 70%.  Keep around 100-110 watts.
Also try to get the temperature around 55C.  May need to set fan to 35%

Fan speed: 25% (Auto) Define fan curve in AB. Keep card to under 70C with fan speed at 70-80%. Auto is useless  >:(

I have a mix of 1070.
One Gigabyte G1 32Mh/s and 470+ sol/s (great card, but expensive)
Three Zotac Mini (mining edition-with a single fan) 31.5 Mh/s and 450 sol/s (best buy I think)
Two Inno3d Twin 30 mh/s  and 430-440 sol/s (worst card ever, hot, unstable)
I'll keep the memory clock on the zotac mini on 650, on the G1 725 and on Inno3d 480-460.The power limit 62 on G1 and 72 on the rest(mining Eth).

I mine ETH now and I don't remember the core clock when mining Zcash..100..200 maybe on the G1.

For Eth
Power limit 72
Core Clock -200
Memory clock +650
Fan speed 70
The whole rig consume 780 Watts
For Zcash, if I remember right, just raise the Core clock to 200 and power limit to 100.Play with those two settings a little. You should get 450-460 Sol/s easily. On the wall ..1000 Watts
I have only one Nvidia rig, so I am not an expert.

Just a heads up, I've noticed that many people say +500 or +600 or even +700 for their memory OC which is subjective depending on your system settings. Sort of learnt this the hard way:

In CUDA / compute tasks, a stock GTX 1070 runs memory at 7600 MHz (base 3800*2). So a +600 OC will result in (base 3800+600)*2 = 8800 MHz. In 3D tasks, this same +600 OC will result in (base 4004+600)*2 = 9208 MHz, which can be unstable /crash the system.

You can use Nvidia Profile Inspector to set "Force Cuda P2 State" to "OFF". This prevents the base memory clock from dropping to P2 state while mining (keeping it in P0). Result: +500MHz memory OC gets you to 9GHz in BOTH gaming and CUDA/compute tasks, which should be safe for most.

we bought over 500 1070s for our mining farm.

Hashrate figures are as follows

Inno3D 1070 HerculeZ = 31 Mhs
Galax GTX 1070 Katana = 31.2 Mhs

The Katana cards are very compact(single slot) and you can put them close together and put a couple 120mm fans and they run nicely.

Asus Rog Strix 1070 (8G model) with dstm `zm` miner, I'm seeing 485-495 sols/s mining zclassic. 6 of them:

dstm zm miner has a 2% fee, but I feel (but maybe I'm wrong?) that the increase in hashrate is worth it.

Depends on what algorithm you want to mine. For equihash, take a look and compare the following:

  • tpruvot's fork of ccminer (https://github.com/tpruvot/ccminer/releases) seems to be the most active ccminer fork that I've seen; of course ccminer handles multiple algorithms, which is handy
  • ewbf (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1707546) is a custom equihash miner, hasn't been updated in a while
  • dstm (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2021765.0) is a custom equihash miner, actively maintained and is more recent and hashes faster than ewbf
  • bminer (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2519271) is a custom equihash miner, actively maintained and is more recent and hashes faster than both ewbf and dstm (marginally so for dstm, but still)

All three have devfees and can be disabled, usually with a performance decrease (CPU/GPU optimizations are disabled).

I know this is a pretty old post, but one possibility I thought of in your situation is (if you are using Windows at least) raise the virtual memory up to more than the total of VRAM on all the cards installed, so for example I have one rig which is 5 x 1070's which are all 8GB VRAM each, so my virtual memory is set to 48GB.

I had a similar situation to the one you described but it was on a 1060 rig and it was the card which was running the display - so I switched to the Core i5 onboard graphics for display and then the 1060 in the first slot improved.

If he have dashboard link of the concern pool link alone he connected. He can get the details whether it is mining or not in the mobile itself. I am not sure why you are explaining about the virtual memory usage with the 1070 cards.
I don't understand why he is doing this. However, this is works better for the people whoever want to use the virtual RAM.

i got 8 x Gigabyte GTX1070 gaming G1 v.2.0 running on win10 on an Asrock H110 BTC PRO+.
Dunno about the other algorythms but with ccminer KlausT v 8.18 CUDA 9.1 and afterburner set to Core +50 (1700), MEM +200 (4000) Power 80% i'm getting
Hashrates of between 960 kH/s and 1130 kH/s, average 1060 kH/s per card with Neoscrypt.
Cards running at 57C with standard manual fan profile.
Virtual mem of 102400 Mb (i think it's overkill but got nothing else to fill the hdd with anyways)

Inno3D 1070 HerculeZ = 31 Mhs
Galax GTX 1070 Katana = 31.2 Mhs

Are these Inno3D and Galax ones reliable? I've been told you should prefer ASUS, Gigabyte and Sapphire and maybe also Zotac. I know where to get good priced Inno3D 1070ti but I've been suspicious about that manufacturer.

Can someone please help me out?

Its been two months I am trying to get on Neoscrypt with my 7 x GTX 1070 rig, but every time I give up after hours and hours of trying. (Im tired of low profits on Equihash  so I need to switch algos)

I can never get over 720 per card from a single GTX1070 which is terrible I get only 5000 kH/s from my 7 GTX 1070 rig. I should get at least 7700.

HSRMiner doesnt download it says virus detected.

CUDAMiner from this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=770064.0 is just one exe file and missing dll files and doesnt run.

Neoscrypt Miner has very  low hashrates.

Klaust-T has low hashrates.

ccminer 2.2.3 Cuda gives me low hashrates.

For Ethhash and Equihash, this is what I did
1. Push the memory clock up until it becomes unstable, and use the highest stable setting.
2. Using the highest stable memory clock setting, push the core clock up until it becomes unstable.

Test it on Neoscrypt after that to ensure system is stable. Equihash is most friendly. So, I tend to do the optimization on Ethhash, then test the same result for stability on Neoscrypt. If its stable on Ethhash and Neoscrypt, it is highly likely to be stable on Equihash.

I'm mining on Nicehash, only switching between the 3 main algo. It usually runs on Equihash.

On Afterburner, I've pushed Samsung ram up to +775. I've pushed Micron ram on Aorus up to +775 as well. However, Micron ram on MSI Gaming X only goes up to +625. The absolute mem clock speed on MSI Gaming X will be about 9Ghz while the rest are clocking above that.

Core clock from 0 to +175. Aorus 0. MSI Gaming X +25.

MSI Gaming X, eventhough the card is real solid, the power consumption is higher and overclocking potential is limited compared to Gigabyte Windforce/G1/Aorus.

I've un-link power limit and temperature limit. My temp limit is 68dC and card will throttle down when temp reach 65dC which is my ideal max temp.
I'm also running a custom fan curve that holds the temperature around 60dC or lower while not being too loud.
Just play with it, the GPU will generate a certain amount of heat given a certain amount of work it is required to perform, you can turn your fan speed all the way up to keep it really cool but it creates a lot more noise for a limited amount of temperature decrease. Find out where the temp likes to settle and adjust the fan speed to hold it there.

GPU spacing is also very important, if you space them really tight then the rig will run a lot hotter.

At the moment I don't have any extra fans on my rig.

I'm very new to this gig, less than a month, I approached this scientifically and spent the first 2 week optimizing the system and testing ideas.

Read up about Marginal Diminishing Return.

Hey all,

Just finished up my first mining rig ((3) 1070's) yesterday and have been doing the best I can with the OC settings.

Adding either 3 more 1070's or may buy 3 1080's when GPU's are back in stock.

Currently averaging around 1440 sol/s mining Zcash (between 1400 - 1450 sol/s) which is about 480 sol/s for each GPU.

Rig:

(3) EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC GAMING ACX 3.0, 8GB GDDR5

-- OC settings: (MSIAfterburner)  112 Power, 90 core, 680 mem  -  for all 3 GPU's  -  pulling 610 watts (about 200 watts per GPU)

-- Temps between 55-60c and fans on auto

(2) EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G 80 Plus Gold

ASUS PRIME Z270-A motherboard

8g of Corsair Vengeance DDR4 memory

Intel G3930 processor

Windows 10

Using ZEC Miner EWBF on the us1 flypool server

The first GPU only pulls about 440 sol/s and the other two GPU's are pulling around 480 sol/s each. Not sure why that is... Anyone know why?

Let me know what you guys think or if you have any suggestions. I have played around with the OC settings quite a bit and have found this to be the sweet spot for now, but definitely open to suggestions.

Every now and then I'll get a rejected share, is that normal? I've looked around and some people have said it is. I've read its a stale share due to a new block updating to the network.

PS: I'm not paying for power where this rig is stored so decreasing the power limit isn't a big factor in the equation.

Just looking for more opinions or insight.

Thanks,

Brandon

I have Asus Rog Strix Gaming GTX1070 8Go.

+220 core
+700 mem
120Watt

With the dstm miner, I was achieving similar hashrates with that card:

+200 core
+1050 mem
115Watt

So, a little more efficient, I think? I was doing 490+ a card, but my wattage was jacked up - very inefficient, so I dialled it back to this.

Code:
export XAUTHORITY=/var/run/lightdm/root/:0
export DISPLAY=:0
sudo nvidia-smi -pm 1
sudo nvidia-smi -pl 115
sudo nvidia-settings -a GPUPowerMizerMode=1 -a GPUGraphicsClockOffset[3]=200 -a GPUMemoryTransferRateOffset[3]=1050 -a GPUFanControlState=1 -a GPUTargetFanSpeed=25

Wide range of 1070 cards.
On ZEC, most manage between 380 and 400 sol/s running EBWF at 110 watts (give or take a couple) with +100/+1200 under LINUX (that would be +100/+600 for Afterburner due to how LINUX works memory overclocks).

On ETH, I can bump most of them DOWN to the 100-102 watt range (a couple manage 98 watts, a few need up to 107) for a consistant 31.2 give or take .1 Mhash at +1200 memory and core anywhere from -200 to +100 (core doesn't MATTER on ETH for 1070 cards unless you MASSIVELY underclock the core).

Don't quote TDP as a "%" figure, as TDP on 1070 cards varies WIDELY (151 "Founder's Edition" standard and 180 watts are common, MSI has that insane Gaming X model at 240) which makes % TDP a nearly MEANINGLESS figure.

my most profitable algos are the following with average hashrate:
xevan:3800 kh/s
c11: 19 mh/s
phi: 20 mh/s

just had the gpu's for almost a week, still figuring out the sweet spot for oc.
current settings: (Im using ASUS GPU tweak not MSI Afterburner)
+60 boost clock (1895Mhz)
+20 Mem Clock (8028 Mhz)
80 % power target
gpu temp 52c

including 1 1080ti, i get around 0.0006 btc per day.
got any advice?
Anyone got the same gpu's on same algo?
I'm mining on zergpool using nemosminer.

I also tried mining equihash on nicehash, got around 470 sol/s  90-powerlimit +30 core +50 mem around 55c temp. I tried increasing the core to +100 and +500 mem but i only got around 490 sol/s, i don't think it's worth it so i returned it to +30 core and +50 mem.

I have 2 Zotac amp extreme 1070.
my most profitable algos are the following with average hashrate:
xevan:3800 kh/s
c11: 19 mh/s
phi: 20 mh/s

just had the gpu's for almost a week, still figuring out the sweet spot for oc.
current settings: (Im using ASUS GPU tweak not MSI Afterburner)
+60 boost clock (1895Mhz)
+20 Mem Clock (8028 Mhz)
80 % power target
gpu temp 52c

including 1 1080ti, i get around 0.0006 btc per day.
got any advice?
Anyone got the same gpu's on same algo?
I'm mining on zergpool using nemosminer.

What CCminer fork do you are running?

EVGA SC Black GTX 1070;

Dagger/Sia: 30.6mh/s eth - 307mh/s sia | Power draw: 150W/h (1GPU + Mobo + CPU + 1USB Wireless + 1 Case Fan)

70% tdp, +600 memory (micron), +0 Core | 50 celsius @ %50 Fan Speed

Dudes at reddit said I do no good by running a dual miner so i tried to run solo daggerhashimoto but while i lost hashrate/income (29.5 mh/s) by doing so, my power draw didn't change neither.

So went back to dagger/sia.

I have 6 Zotac Mini GTX 1070 (Asrock h81 BTC r2.0 / Thermaltake RBG 850W Gold / 8GB) .

My best efficiency for ZCash is:

  • TDP: 65%
  • Core: +50 (1580-1607)
  • Mem: +200 (4000MHz)
  • Fan: 80%
  • Miner: DSTM 0.6
  • Driver: 391.01
  • ambient temperature: 17°C (62,6°F)
  • card temperature: 43°C-53°C (109,4°F-127,4°F)
  • Pool: flypool
  • sol/s: avg. 2500
  • Wall: 680W

Those zotac mini cores can all hit +200-225, you should be around 2800-2900 hashrate. Zcash is core hungry.

Oh really? Also with 65% TDP?

Hi everyone,

I just started dual mining Eth and XVG blake2s with claymore 11.5 and i have the following hashrate

eth 32.090 mhs
b2s 480.393 mhs

My settings are +750 memory, 0 core clock, power limit to 70 (dcri 45)

i've some doubts on the b2s hashrate as i read that usually is something like 3000 mhs, am i  missing something?

Hi fellow miners,
This is my first post ... and sorry for my bad English.
I know that ETH it's not the best coin to mine with Nvidia but I will give a try, maybe the price will rise up.

MB: Asus Prime Z270-A
GPU: Gigabyte 1070 G1 Gaming 8GB
GPU Memory: Micron (it's not so worse as people said, anyway it's not my choice to choose the memory).
Soft: MSI Afterburner and Nvidia Inspector.

ETH - Ethermine pool (Claymore 11.6 / Phoenix Miner 2.9e)

TDP: 60%
Core clock: -100 (changed to -150 no impact on hashrate)
Memory clock: +800 but it's not so stable, was ok with claymore 11.6 but i've changed the miner and the computer restarts after 6-8 hours with Phoenix Miner 2.9e
+780 - stable at this value
Fan Speed: 60% (GPU around 48-60 degree C - depends by weather condition).

Phoenix Miner 2.9e (7x1070) - 231 Mh/s (33 - 33.5 Mh/s / 1070).
Claymore 11.6 (7x1070) - 226 Mh/s (32 - 32.7 Mh/s / 1070).

**********************************************************************
I've also mined LUX and it's around 19.8 - 20.2 Mh/s / 1070.
Maybe it's space for improvement but I'm sure I need more power.

TPD: 75%
Core Clock: +130
Memory: -460
Fan: 60%

**********************************************************************
I'm trying to mine XVG (X17 algo), to see how much I can earn.
I'm on xvg-x17.suprnova.cc. I don't know if this is the best pool or not :/

TDP: 75%
Core clock: +125 (changed to +120 - no impact on hashrate)
Memory: -500
Fan: 60%

7 x 1070G1 Gaming: 75 - 76 MH/s. (75% TDP ~ 100W/GPU according NVI)
7 x 1070G1 Gaming: ~79 Mh/s (85% TDP but I don't think it's worth it ~130-140W/GPU)

Regards,
Radu

dunno wtf u guys are doing wrong my buddies at 500 sol/s miming zec with my tweaked 1070.

Temps around 70c

Sorry to break it to you but your buddy is doing it wrong. For the following reasons:

1. 500 sol/s means he is over-volting / increasing power consumption. That is LESS profitable than undervolting because you spend so much energy for minuscule gains.
2. Temps do not need to be "around 70c" to get good profits. He/she is simply reducing the life span of his/her GPU.

These are "basic" knowledge when it comes to GPU mining and if you haven't done enough research to know this then "wtf are u doing."

From My Zotac 1070 Mini, still making few tweaks :)

Miner                   Algorithm            Speed      BTC/Day  BTC/GH/Day Pool
-----                   ---------            -----      -------  ---------- ----

ccminer-1.0-djm-edition yescrypt         1.39 KH/s      0.00003    20.68652 MPH-Globalboosty

sgminer 5.1.0, MPH-Globalboosty - 1.48 KH/s. But the desktop is lagging...

No problems. use this miner
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2021765.0

Core clock: +100-125
Memory:    +400-500
TDP: 75%

480-490 sol/s
If you add TDP, you will receive a larger hashrate. But look at energy consumption.  As a rule, an increase of 10-20 sol/s greatly increases energy consumption

Temps  60-63 c

That's about right.  My dual EVGA 1070s are getting about 62-64mh/s.  Problem is that being in CA I also pay .25kwh, so 75% of eth mining goes to SCE.  I had to shut down my two 6x1060 rigs because in April with the halving and insane diff I was actually paying to mine.

I was hoping that maybe ZEC would be a good alt coin to get into, but it appears not.

Gotta mine in TX (.08kwh), or have a killer solar system to make anything these days.
