Title: When will it fall?
Post by: Quazniac on August 18, 2017, 02:02:35 PM
It's been on a high lately, and I would've guessed that it would've fell already, but it keeps climbing. When will it fall? When should we sell? Or should we hold through the next fall?
what comes up must come down.

The trend for Bitcoin is that more growth would be coming but there will be small corrections along the way...not really as in falling but some little retreat in value and you can take advantage of those if you are planning to buy Bitcoin. In case you want to sell then make sure that it reached a better height before letting go.

Unfortunately, ordinary guys like us can find it hard to predict when will the dip happen. Remember that Bitcoin is one of the most unpredictable animals there is in the whole investment world. All you have to do is to continually watch and maybe even try to know how to read charts and listen/read many analysis.

Then would you suggest to just not sell and hold for long term profits? Is there gonna be some sort of plateau on the price in the near future?

if by fall you mean a correction then it happens 3 days ago. there was a 13.6% correction when you were still in your reverie thinking when will it fall.

if by fall you mean drop hard down to some low price like $1000, or something then it won't happen, don't hold your breath ;)

Quote

not necessarily.
as i said a correction happens all the time, it is not called "coming down". it is simply a correction as the name suggests.
what you have in mind is probably a comparison between bitcoin and pumped up altcoins which die after the pump. they are very different. don't be confused.

it already went down from $4,500 recently to almost $4,000, now it's back at around $4,300

if you're expecting a huge correction, then that already happened during July, but bitcoin quickly rebounded back

I do not know whether or not it will fall as in going back to its old price.  Bitcoin price are so high right now and to tell you honestly, I am afraid of it.    Maybe if many people will sell their bitcoins at one moment, then its price will go down.  The law of supply and demand.  When there are great demand and supply is little, its price would be higher and vice versa.

I am a bit scared too. It feels strange as one would expect at least some people selling (and making it go down) with the high prices we are seeing right now. I'll say it would go down into the 3000 in less than 3 months... but that is just my own feeling.

Bitcoin is currently waiting for the correction phase. If you own a large amount, it is possible to sell a warranty part to your owner and to continue with the Bitcoin for the remaining part so that you do not lose all your head

anything going up will going down but when. we all dont know. what i know bitcoin will hard to fall down below $3k now. but still we dont know even. anything possible in cryptocurrency. when it does happen dont hold your breath to sell it quickly. what i know today bitcoin cash has rises. the pump on bitcoin cash eventually has start. do your research more in the future bro.

bitcoin has down today. bitcoin cash is on the pump. look foward on bitcoin cash.

All depends on the reaction of the bitcoin community. Now everything is in anticipation of growth and therefore any amount received on the market, it can not derail. It seems to me that in such circumstances one should not expect a strong downward movement. Whales will raise the rate to $ 5,000.

100% obviously no one knows. When should you sell? It's up to you and no one here can told you when will you sell. Take a break and spend time practicing on how to make a self analyzation since questions like that aren't answerable by an accurate response.

As an advice, just relax and watched the price grows. Bitcoin is long term so if ever a correction or big price crash will happened still it will increase again as we advanced. If you are satisfied with the profits then you can consider selling, simple as that.

Not everything in this world goes up and then eventually falls, If you are waiting for Bitcoins to fall then you will be waiting for a very long time. If you have plans to wait for it to fall an buy, then I'd advise you to buy now and make some profits again before the price soars once again.

It has already started... and when November comes, we can see a real Bitcoin Cash takeover. Even today it's already more profitable to mine Bitcoin Cash.

Miners want 2x of Segwit2x, Core doesn't... Miners will rather move to BCC than untested segwit2x software.

And there is still a chance that when segwit gets activated, transactions won't work or coins will be stolen.

Q4 2017 = in my opinion the greatest BTC dump in the history, but I might be wrong.

I've already moved my BTC to OmiseGo (OMG), really do your research about it.

Bitcoin came with a revolutionary technology, but it's not the future of payment system/smart contracts in my opinion. Ethereum and OmiseGo is.

Yeah, what comes up must come down for us to buy more cheaper coins  ;D. No one really knows on when the price would go down and expectations would really be there price corrections would happen but for now we are stabilizing on 4200-4400 range and cant able to breakout that 4500 resistance. Just have patience we would really see the price of bitcoin to go down its price, for now you should be attentive on when to sell out.

Bitcoin as well other digital currencies were purely not certain. Just based on the fact we can speculate and predict based on the events happening with time on the bitcoin network. Hope this won't fall than low in a short or long as the people support is getting increased regularly.

I do not believe bitcoin prices continue to weaken but that's the fact, we just have to believe in bitcoin will increase again later and we do not need to panic due to weakening bitcoin prices now, because bitcoin prices still have a high value.

Take responsibility for yourself when dealing with money.

it was fell already from 4400 usd to 4100 usd, it will happen from time to time when one rises somebody will pull it down, some called it waves, oscillation or other term as history repeat itself.bitcoin was fall many times and rise many but if you are referring to as nose dive or bubble burst bit it is not gonna likely to happen maybe a couple of decades.

What you said is right, what comes up will go down, there will be a correction for bitcoin, but dont be afraid, for a long term it is still profitable, but my prediction it wont fall far below 4000$ and it can reach more than 5000$ in the end of this year, so I still suggest to buy and hold your bitcoin

Sure, the price will continue to have fluctuations, but we will not be seeing Bitcoin going below $1000 again for a long, long time. "What comes up must come down" may be true for some cases, but is untrue for things like age, the price of gas, etc.

Just rebounded to $4000 right now. I think investors are waiting for it to dip then new faces are joining in today that is why your prediction will not happened. Bitcoin has already established itself and it will easily fall down without a fight. This is just a healthy correction, so that others will love to enter now and enjoy the benefits later.

Thank you very much. This is what I'm telling. About a few days ago, we also see the price fall from a high of $4500. Those who want to get in are very happy to see those price because they are able to buy back bitcoin again. I will not also sell as well because for me the price can still go high as $5000 or more in the coming months.

Well it has just hit a low for the week at around $4k.

I'd expect it to go up once again in like 4 days time, when the 23th August minimum cool down period for segwit is done and this is the most likely date that segwit is going to get activated. Once it does activate then price could definitely go up again.

It is going to go down after that pump because we are simply not supposed to be at such high prices right now.

I'd expect the major dump to come around mid September, maximum.

Now the price is decreasing pretty high. But what do you say that bitcoin like wave is true. There will be where the bitcoin price increases and there is also when the bitcoin price decreases. Bitcoin is not always increasing and this decrease can also be beneficial for some people. traders particularly liked the bitcoin characteristics that are unstable because they can take advantage of this action.

If you have a few days of patience left, then wait for the price to go down further since a correction is due. You will get more coin in return for the same amount of fiat you look to get rid of right now.

I am looking to buy back as well, and I am aiming for this correction to kick in to take the price down. SegWit activation has already been priced in, just as how the lock-in was priced in before it actually ended up happening.

My price target to buy back at is everything below the $3500 mark. The deeper it falls below that level, the more I will be buying back ~ I don't expect it to tank below the $3000 mark though.

Yes I also notice that. Many are panicking right now that's why they are selling their btc. Most especially those who are legendary members already. They've come so far like they are a pioneer but then they also adjusted a lot because of this situation. I hope it won't be like that most of the time. If this will be in a normal case, then probably many will be given opportunities to be a good trader someday. Don't let this thing to fall.

It's down atm already and some "cheap" coins are available in the markets and after this possible double bottom situation, we may be in a spiking situation which would drive us above 5k and won't stop there as it is getting very hotter for Bitcoins this time. We are all into the November drama and I hope that BTC holds its highs till then because as everything settles after that, it would be able to shoot straight away for a bigger target of $10k which is my goal until where I won't sell.

No one in his right mind will ever ditch Bitcoin for Bitcoin Cash. Who's going to trade a Ferrari for a simple and rusty Toyota car? It just doesn't make sense. Bitcoin Cash is being pumped by its wealthy holders because they want to trap in people to buy their *at some point to become worthless* coins at top levels - don't fall for it. Bitcoin Cash is nothing more than a nasty way of becoming even more wealthy, where they potentially harming Bitcoin isn't anything of importance to them - greed is the only thing they live for. If they managed to pull this off once, they will be doing it another time for sure. I have only my cold storage wallets left containing a decent number of BCC, but I don't want to touch these coins as they are all from sub 2015, and a few even 2013. If that wasn't the case, I would have dumped the BCC's at current levels without thinking about it for even a second.

Well its obvious that bitcoin will always increase due to demand we are getting more popularity as you can seen in google trends you can see there are many people are looking for bitcoin that i think its a sign that bitcoin is getting popularity right now because of the price increase and they are attracted why other people are making large amount of bitcoin.. and how bitcoin will work..

If I were you I would just hold on to my bitcoins for a couple more months, I've read that there will be another split by November so if that happens by November then expect either a price increase after and most likely a drop of price a week before. But there are no specific dates so these are just speculations. And bitcoin price now had been stable around $3900-$4100 just this week.

Positive growth is likely to occur in bitcoin,This will be reflected, if we look at the law of buying and selling, the more rare it will be more expensive. This will happen because of the limited number of bitcoins and maybe we will pass at the limit stage. And at this stage bitcoin will be more expensive

Today I was very attentive to the Bitcoin course and I very much hope that it will rise literally at least a few percent, because I have some plans that I want to implement. Of course, I will expect the best prices for Bitcoin up to 5000 or 10,000 1000 dollars, but for today, until the end of the month, I expect at least a small growth. This would greatly help me and I think as well as other Bitcoin users.

Best you can do is to catch corrections nothing more. Do not expect crashes nor anything similar in the next period. Price will rise and any predictions about it's price, are highly speculative and disputable. BTC is investment because it is very good for storing of value, that influences further rise. Adoptions will multiple that rise in the future.

If you can't hold on too much longer it is better to let go, it might be your limitation towards pressures is signaling you to stop at this moment. If you still have good profit out of it then it is the rightful time.

If you can't hold on too much longer it is better to let go, it might be your limitation towards pressures is signaling you to stop at this moment. If you still have good profit out of it then it is the rightful time.
i think you should try to hold your bitcoin for some more time, because there are expectation from the people that the price of bitcoin will cross 5000$, therefore i think we should manage to hold our bitcoin for some more time, because there are chance to get good profit after some time.

All of us didn't know when it fall cause sometimes the value of bitcoin keeps climbing. .and sometimes it fall . much better to hold it instead of let go . .as of now the value of bitcoin is getting low and  am sure that in other day it will rise.  But if you worrying that the bitcoin value has no longer to be rise then its up to you if have good profit then you have to do what you want.

waiting for fell may be long time as bitcoin is going mainstream and every countries is becoming knowledgable in cryptocurrency. Today bitcoin price is moving up and that gives us hope that $5000 is sight. Op I will advise you to keep and hold you bitcoin until the price reach $5000 from there I think we would make alot of profit that will last us long time. For those who buy as at the last fell last month can see the great returned even if they sell now.

No one actually knows when. The last fall only drops -$200 and then it goes up again and I didn't expect that when it drops -$200, there's no panic selling happened like what they always doing. That prevent the price in continous falling.

Its really hard to speculate the price of bitcoin these days due to strong holding bitcoins and they are believe that the price of bitcoin can be increase more soon.. as i can seen there is a competitors that increase its value bitcoin cash is increasing and there is possibility that those who are holding bitcoin may switch into bitcoin cash.. hope that it will not happen because bitcoin cash still not accepted by many merchant unlike bitcoin..
I think the price is going to be stable and it may go up as soon as the lightning network is implemented, let us hope that happens as fast as possible and that it does not gets any delays.

It entirely depends on how successful segwit is. If it works, then bitcoin won't have any problems. If however the fees continue to rise, then merchants will switch to another coin, either bitcoincash or an alt.

One development in the last year has been merchants listing several alts in their payment options where before they just listed bitcoin.

I don't know either, if it falls so let it be so we can buy. If not so we hold for now and if the price seems good for you and have already profitable so sell it. That's how it is, do it on your own risk. Don't complicate things because your looking on the negative side.

This will have a positive impact on us, as the bitcoin exchange rate will continue to grow and will suppress inflation so that altcoin prices will go up. All hope that this will happen

IMO, we have already adjusted and Segwit has come. The price seems to be stable currently, but i think that we may see another dump soon after because price is still above $4k which i don't think it belongs to at the moment.

The timing is very hard to predict but if i had to bet my money i would say somewhere between 2-3 weeks later. Because right now, Segwit's effects are only starting to kicking in. After SW discussions and celebrations starts to fade, then the price will go down.

There could be another round of pumps, but even if there was it won't be very big ones.

What you have in red is exactly right and i wish that more people realise this.

Bitcoin will be a great investment but right now, the price seems to be somewhat inflated. Any logical person will quickly figure out that this isn't the normal price level that bitcoin belongs at, and a correction will happen sooner or later.

We have seen btc go down to $3800, and rebound back up to $4100. I think that at early or mid next month we will see another downward adjustment to around $3500-3600, now one of two things could happen, a rebound like this time or price will continue to spiral down. But something has to happen by the end of next month, imo.

Well yes, that's true but that doesn't necessarily mean that price will drop down to <3000$. We've seen the price dropping down from $4200 to $3800 and is now orbiting around $4100. That's a drop in my book and the drop of ~$300  isn't that small to be ignored and is to be considered a going down from "what goes up must come down".

I don't really believe so, maybe it will fall down to ~$3700-$3800 but hardly anything below. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'd be happy if it was so, as much as I'm concerned it can drop down to $2k because that would mean I could be buying more btc.

It can go bearish to an untested support, but I would not go short anything technology. If there is one sector that is evolving, its technology. Even if there is short term downtrend, the smart idea would be to buy the dip and sell gradually at profits. Yes it is a trap. Making non sense story which needs to be thrown away somewhere. The fall thing is them. Considering the demands of bitcoin will continuously higher than expected because people's trust are getting many. Others might think that it is the end of bitcoin's popularity. Some loser investors just envy bitcoin's success nowadays because it is not only trading system it can do a lot of things with one coin for it can be used for many transactions by using wallets into real cash. So that's precious with just one wallet to another wallet basis-the easiest and fastest way to pay bills, produce and so on. Are you still expecting for the fall of bitcoin? Well, it won't happen.

The saying has a lot of truth in it. However, it does not imply a timeframe. Even though the stock market will go to $0 when civilization ends it does not mean that we will see that happen in our lifetimes.

Ultimately, trying to time the market is a fool's game for most people. There are a few people that can do it consistently over time but most cannot.

We are now back to $4300 gentlemen so that just $700 to get through $5000. But I want to see if you can hold at $4500 first before breaking $5000. I think we are slowly seeing the effect of yesterdays Segwit activation, we may see some new faces joining and getting bitcoin or still the old whalers out there making large orders. I don't think whalers are going to sell now, because the trend is going up maybe when we get to $4500 we may see another minor price correction, but if the price is sustained that $5000 walled will be breached. So I'm still seeing around $6000-$7000 at the end of 2017.

Bitcoin had been up and down.  It has a crazy fluctuation if you remember.  I think this ups and down is dependent on the market saturation.  Since market is still unsaturated, we can still see bitcoin to climb up in price until it hits its market saturation level.  But no it won't go down since when the market saturation is met, the price become stable and does not necessary means a crash.  Probably until the developer abandon Bitcoin, we will not see a major fall of bitcoin price.

maybe you don't know how to read charts, maybe you are looking at a wrong place, or maybe you are just saying random stuff here but the volume is not at all "little". it has been growing in the past week and currently it is at a very high level.
kraken had $35.5 million for EUR market only and a total of $56 million for USD+EUR

and by the way hodling doesn't mean price will go up. buying means it will go higher! and when buying happens volume goes up :D
a low volume means nothing is happening and price remains stable or even drops a little. (a bigger drop means a huge volume)

I agree, if you sell during the crash you will only sell at a lost.  But if you sell during the rise then you sell at a profit.  Depends on your target price, you should not wait for your holdings to crash before you sell them.  Or you can take advantage of the fluctation and get profit from it.  This will either increase your holding or increase your profit.  Either way it will be beneficial to you.

If a lot of people sell their coins it will fall specially if the price is very low, but on the other hands even if the price of BTC is versatile it takes a long time for the price to decrease. Basically for me this is the right time to sell some of my BTC because the price is very high.

In my opinion, depends the supply and demand of Bitcoin on market.
Because if team buy can create a strong support price at $4,000 they can keep the price of Bitcoin high than $4,000 in long time before create new signal continue up trend or downtrend.
Usually, Bitcoin after create strong support line, Bitcoin price will increase up.

There have been a surge in demand since the starting. Bitcoin is experiencing a genuine increase in price driven by huge demand from all over the world. If you have noticed, price stayed in uptrend continuously this year with some obvious short term fluctuations leaving the month of July which experienced a relatively longer dip. But that was because of uncertainty surrounding Fork event and not a natural correction. There was a minor correction recently as well when Bitcoin reached $3700. But it have already rebounded. I don't see any huge dip coming at present till November.

Why should it fall?

He compared gravitation with crypto market, I don't know what to say about that. There is no reason for price to fall, except usual fluctuations, but who is here more then a years should get use to it already, its very normal with all crypto currencies.
Price will go up not down, that iswinevitable in my opinion. With so many things going on about bitcoin, with rising interest in the world we will see increasing in demand which is one more thing that contribute to the price rising, like adaptation in some countries and in companies around the world.
Asus announced mining cards, they are entering in crypto world, apparently they think that crypto world have a future. If you don't know what to do, follow big players and everything will be alright.

That is completely not true. So are you saying that you are going to invest in something that is useful, but is overbought? It's probably not very good advice to give out imo considering the fact that we have seen many instances of this happening before such as the dotcom bubble. I'm not saying that bitcoin is going to crash as hard as the dotcom bubble nor is it as overbought as tech firms in the dotcom bubble, but it's a similar sort of thing.

We're nearing the all time high once again so i'm not sure. I think since segwit has been activated we can definitely expect more pumps to come in as people become optimistic. But after that, i think we can expect a pretty big fall. I'd say around mid-september, we'll see a dip below $4k once again.

It's been on a high lately, and I would've guessed that it would've fell already, but it keeps climbing. When will it fall? When should we sell? Or should we hold through the next fall?
what comes up must come down.

Why would you wait the next fall to sell? Don't sell when it fall brother.
If the price is right for you or you get a profit out of it then you can sell.
No one can really tell where will bitcoin take us, for now just ride the train and trust bitcoin.
People can sell at any moment but if you are about your earnings then the most healthy thing to do is to wait until the price goes as high as possible and then sell, but in my personal opinion if you are not a trader this is a waste of time, just hold your coins and be happy with your earnings.

If you are not a trader then holding can give you good profits in future when price will rise as most of the people are holding their coins so that they can sell when the right time comes but personally I feel that investing in trading and growing your coins is better option then simply holding as in holding you will never make regular profits then you can make with trading.

Well if you don't have any knowledge about bitcoin trading well holding bitcoin for a long time is a good option..
But if you really want to grow your bitcoin it will take high risky because if you trade  with altcoin or invest your bitcoin to other there is possibility that you will lose your bitcoin in the end or you can be lose more..
So holding is much recommended and safe..

In my opinion there is a small chance it goes back down.  If it does it will be a surprise and take many people off guard since there seems to be a larger demand for it and increasing hype surrounding it.

We cannot predict the future value of bitcoin, because their fluctuation in the market is definitely unstable. Sometimes bitcoin price was increase and sometimes it was fall. Maybe we just need to trust in the potential of bitcoin.

The problem is, Bitfinex is relentlessly bullish. And each time the price spikes upwards, it's Bitfinex leading. They keep jumping $30-50 above the other exchanges (before consolidating, after which the others have caught up).

The funny thing about this? They're literally cut off from the banking system and have been for about 5 months. So clearly, this is where all that sweet, sweet Wall Street money is landing. :P

Something bad is brewing there, that's for sure...

This can't be true for atleast bitcoin, if you are talking about other alts than yes most of them might see a big dump really soon but for bitcoin I don't think there is anything that will cause a significant dump.

All the recent pump/bull run was fueled by new investors and high hopes for activation of lightening network after segwit activation rather than just due to some hypes/fuds like we used to have before.

I think we will never see bitcoin price going below $1000 again.  ;)

If i were to make the call then i would say sometime in september/october.

Right now we are probably still in the bubble, but i'm not sure whether this bubble is going to pop soon or not. It probably won't, due to the fact that people seem to continue to buy into bitcoin even though it is obvious that it is in a bubble, even mania.

We're not going to see bitcoin below $1k but we are going to see btc less than $3k or even $2k when the big adjustment happens. I would say that the price will be severely hit by the adjustment, when it comes. Just prepare for it, don't get sucked into the hype.

That's true , the basic of market movement always be like that.
On the high rise there's always a drop called correction , but when the price above our expectation , above the normal value it is called bubble.
Sooner or later it should be dropped , but we are talking crypto by the way it could be different situation here , i don't know just let's see.

As one of the user mentioned everytime after a price increase certain price decrease happens. Now that too is not happening with certain price increase. Importantly the price increase leads to a correction phase if the price increases in a large scale as that it happened during the past days.

After this year there might be a fall of prices this January as bitcoin traders may give way to a new altcoin and invest for a change it is because most person do changes after a new year eves. That is just my opinion and might be true. But as long more investors and popularity of bitcoin still spreading widely, I' met be happy to be wrong for I want also a higher value.

Large scale investors don't really care about altcoins where they put aside Bitcoin to focus solely on whatever scammy altcoin that raises many millions through an ICO.

Investors that are looking to benefit from whatever altcoin will just look at it as being an additional investment, and nothing more. If we move past November without any problems, the road is free for the $10,000 mark.

Nowadays basically every new altcoin gets distributed through scammy ICO's, and that's a damn shame. Seriously, 99% of the altcoins that pop up nowadays aren't solving any actual problem ~ it's all copy and paste stuff.

After the fall will necessarily increase. During the fall, each of us will have a great opportunity to purchase more coins.
It seems to me that the fall will be approximately 300-400 dollars, but this is insignificant

I am seeing corrections as welcome opportunities too -- our main goal (at least for the traders here) is to benefit from the volatility to increase our holdings. I however find it quite weird that people are worried about whatever correction if they are only looking to hold their coins for the long term. This market has proven that short term fluctuations don't actually affect the long term price. Other than that, if we do happen to experience a correction, I am fairly sure that it will be something like 20% at the minimum. We shouldn't discard the fact that we have gone up significantly already -- the market can't just continue to go up and sustain these levels for ever.

It will not drop as you think, we need any occasion to start    and held on blockchain and bitcoin like block segregation  and network size increasing or many others. If nothing happens at least market capital value will increase towards it accordingly. Since holding bitcoins for long term is best thing to do.

Yes, correction phase were the only opportunity by which the user can try to buy bitcoin at a lower price compared to the current price which seems to be on the rising side without any prior notification regarding the price moves. Other than this, I don't think price drops were gonna happen in a short or long.

Bitcoin is growing rapidly, last week we celebrated previous ATH and no we have new ATH, everyone is wondering when this situation will lead us.
With all the hype and speculation around Bitcoin, lack of perfect economic analysis or even idea how to measure Bitcoin's growth correctly we will never know whether the current price is a bubble or not.
If you want to know some more, then this article is rehashing the subject of bitcoin being bubble: https://cointelegraph.com/news/new-bitcoin-price-all-time-high-new-bubble-fears (https://cointelegraph.com/news/new-bitcoin-price-all-time-high-new-bubble-fears)

But why should it fall just now, after so much time that it has been announced the imminent death of bitcoin? If bitcoin did not die when it was just starting and its user community was still weak and its uses were very limited, I do not see why it should fall right now that it looks stronger than ever.

But I am not surprised to see these negative expectations more and more often; fortunately bitcoin has the enough strength to defeat them all.

It must be true with bitcoin too. But bitcoin's potential yet to be revealed hence bitcoin prices are still not up to the actual worth of bitcoin. So, we cannot expect prices to come down now days itself.

We are still in early stages of bitcoin prices so it is too early to expect prices to come down. Probably if $10 millions are the actual worth of bitcoin then we can expect prices to be pumped up to $15 millions and then may come back to $10 millions, yes there are also all general truths will be satisfied.

Right from the starting of year if you see Bitcoin peice has steadily only moved in upward trend . People were getting skeptical that it will fall at 3k, 4k etc but what has happened is price has just reached now close to 5k . People will still feel that it will burst now but Bitcoin will rally to another high of reaching 6k in near future and many will loss this opportunity if not invested now as well .

I agree. Bitcoin market had never reached its limit and there is still a very huge part around 80% or more are uncovered.  So definitely with this kind of statistics bitcoin price will keep on  increasing and we may not see the actual fall of bitcoin price anytime soon.  There might be correction but I am sure every correction will set another ATH of bitcoin price.  It happened several times and it will keep on happening.

Pretty big correction today, we went really close to $5000 on coinmarketcap but unfortunately there wasn't enough fuel to push us over the edge.

Still think that bitcoin is pretty much in a mania stage right now and the markets could turn all red basically any time without precautions being sent out. I think a huge dump will come before the end of the year driving the whole crypto scene(not only bitcoin) into a bearish state.

Not sure when that will be but i would say either October or November.

As you said, what goes up must come down. We'll still be at probably more than double the price we started with this year when it comes down, but you still need to be careful if you are planning on buying in right now.

This is the cycle bullish of Bitcoin on market, it signals we can buy Bitcoin because it has strong support.
Until the price of Bitcoin breakdown under support line (you can know through analysic, candle ...), this trend will reverse.

It falls now due to the correction by the market but that didn't get a big fail in my opinion. I mean the bitcoin looks very stable comparing with another such as ethereum.
But this not for so long caused by those traders can't be patience to make another profit through trading again.

I don't think there will be slight downfall of the price and yes maybe for some correction. Actually, we cannot say the exact day when it will be fall to answer the questions. Because the market fluctuates daily and I think it will continue to rise as many adopts bitcoin to trade.

You're absolutely right, only it's happening right now.  Unfortunately I don't see this as being just another brief decline because a few sharks thought it was time to cash in.  The bearish state is here now and you're right, I wouldn't be investing right now.  I'm not even holding, I cashed out when the value approached 5K.  And I'm keeping the cash freed up so I can jump back in quickly when I sense the turn around.  But I'm sorry to say I don't think "this" decline will be quick or over with soon

if you're a trader you should sell your coins when it pump up to $4900 to get profit because bitcoin right now 4600 so if you sell your coins while it was on $4900 then buy again when it reach right now $4600 you can get a profit from it but if you're depending on your investment and want to have more money don't sell it out wait till the bitcoin price reach $5000 this end of the year.

I will guess that bitcoin may lose some value in October due to the fork coming in November, however there are news that the F2Pool is withdrawing his support to the hard fork and if other pools do the same then it is possible that the fork segwit2x is a lot smaller or it does not happen at all and in that case I think the price of bitcoin is going to be unaffected.

I think that in the softer price of bitcoin will not fall because of the coming fork

Yeah and now its hard to believe that bitcoin can fall to extreme level in coming days no doubt price has gone down a bit today but I am sure it will regain its position very soon in coming days and if you are waiting for the price to go too low to buy bitcoins then you are really wasting your time.

Price is looking good at a moment and don't think that we will witness major crash in coming days and even if it fall it won't go below then $4k and today price has gone somehow lower so I bought some coins as I think this was the good price to buy in compare to past few days.

if you're a trader you should sell your coins when it pump up to $4900 to get profit because bitcoin right now 4600 so if you sell your coins while it was on $4900 then buy again when it reach right now $4600 you can get a profit from it but if you're depending on your investment and want to have more money don't sell it out wait till the bitcoin price reach $5000 this end of the year.
but to me i think that it will be even more profitable if you will continue holding your bitcoin, because the price of bitcoin is not going to stay at 5000$, but will continue to increase its price. i am sure that if we will invest money in bitcoin right now after few months we are expecting that the price of bitcoin will reach to 8000$ and will certainly give us good profit.

Bitcoin has fallen after reached $5000 mark, and bitcoin already drop back few times during the way to $5000.
If you keep wondering when the best time to buy bitcoin, buy now. Bitcoin will not drop to $3000 instantly without any problems affecting it, such as terrible hard fork or a big exchange get hacked. Well, I believe bitcoin will recover to $5k again, soon or later but there is possibility to reach over $5500 in this month, buy now or you may regret if bitcoin start to climbing again. I guess bitcoin may fall by the end of October if segwit2x hard fork still on progress to be activated.

Bitcoin will surely have it's price drop before the year end because for sure many will be selling their coins for the holiday season also like what's always happening when bitcoin price pump a sudden decrease in price first then after few days it will rise again with a very high appreciation. I am waiting for the day that it will drop so I can have my investment in bitcoin for this year.

We should probably only compare to other bubble years like 2013 for a proper comparison. At a glance, that seems correct, given that the top was in December 2013. However, we still have quite a lot of time between now and then.

If the November hard fork happens (in which case, I expect a split), I think it's very possible that BTC continues to rally throughout the next 4-6 weeks before starting to correct in anticipation of the fork. Markets hate uncertainty.

Price will start to go higher as we get close to the end of the year and price has gone low today but it will rise again in next couple of weeks so if you are planning to buy then you should buy it now as this is the good price to buy bitcoins and if you feel that it can go below $4k in coming days then better to wait for that time.

Right now most of the users keep hold of it, thinking it to be an asset that provides with an bigger profit. This makes them spend their day job earning for the needs of holidays. Maybe the large volume bitcoin holding people try to manipulate and grab a large volume getting added to the capital.

I think $5k might have been a bridge too far.

The price kicked up quickly, almost reached the big milestone on most exchanges, but fell short.  We are 15% down since then, I think it could have been a turning point. Whether that is the turning point of the week, month or year is yet to been seen, but I think $5k will be a tough cookie to crack in the near future.

Can't complain though, we are still up about 300% this year!

I have my own analysis that it will fall at around November or December. It will probably drop at around $4k. However, still hold your bitcoin now because it will still rise up this September to October at around $7k. Next year will still be a more profitable year as it will continue to rise despite of the ups and downs. More and more people wants to earn bitcoin next year!

yes even though the price of bitcoin dropped to $4,000 or maybe $3,000 , we are still in good position.

it is just fine to get corrected to that line, but admit it that everybody will always expecting to see the price keep growing . just want to be realistic that the currenct price of above $4,000 are a bubble, and it should be dropped sooner or later .

waiting for that time are not sure yet , so just balancing your fund between holding and actively trade it.

Ya you are right. The price of bitcoin is now fluctuates to low value now. It's the correct time to inverse in trading. You should believe the bitcoin before investing in it.I am dam sure it will surely return back to the highest price .May be it will go greater than 5000$.But wait for that.

Good traders have sold their coins and waiting for the right time to buy back, look at the trend right now, bitcoin has fallen to $4145 on preev as we speak and seems will continue to fall down. It's a big opportunity for traders to buy more cheaper coins before bitcoin rise up again, recover to $5000.

Today the price of bitcoin as well majority of the altcoins have fallen higher than the past days. This ongoing price fluctuations might cause a price pumping or else a price dumping. None is sure about the upcoming scenario, as it's entirely on an varied platform which is unpredictable and decentralized.

We'll first need to see whether or not the market bottoms out just above the $4000 level, or will end up dipping below that level. In terms of percentages, an increase and decrease are on the same level, so patience is all that we need at this point. That being said, those who sold very close to the $5000 level could scoop up an easy +15% in profits if they bought back. I see this correction as a welcome opportunity to increase my coin count, and so should others look at it as well.

Its really going red right now in the crypto world. But yes, its a perfect time to buy and accumulate more bitcoins in our wallet. Investors who missed out on the rally would want to board the bitcoin freight train during a technical pullback like we are seeing right now. Its just a question on when are you going to enter and join the hype train. Are you willing to wait for the price to go bottom or buy it now before bitcoin make a bull run again?

China news triggers this effect, wiping billions of dollars in the crypto marketcap, but after this shocking news, bitcoin will bounce back again, so I advise that don't miss this opportunity to get some coins.

Now is the worst time to buy.  It is in the midst of a bearish market right now and it's not over yet.  I don't think it will get down to 3K, but around 3700 is my best guess.  And then there is the inevitable (this time around) hard fork that you mention, which will only create more uncertainty.  If it doesn't start to recover from this slide by then it will continue to plummet even lower.  IMO this will be the steepest and longest duration the currency will remain bearish... and also quite possibly the last time too, though nobody can say that with certainty no matter how much you know.

I agree that it will rebound, and reach and even eclipse 5K, but it won't be any time soon.  My advice is, if you're not one of the many that have already done so, to get out for the time being.  If you got in on the action early on in the game, like when the price was in the triple digits, then sure you're fine if you want to stay in it for the long haul.  I'm talking to the people that didn't/don't have that luxury, and/or are always looking to maximize profits and get in & out at the right times.

But like I always say, whatever you do with your money in the meantime keep it accessible so that you can get back in at the drop of a hat.

I believe we are already seeing the correction of the market value of Bitcoin at the moment. Some people are attributing the current decline to the incidence in China while others are saying it a normal correction and with time it will start the upward trend again which am in agreement with their speculation.

It's been on a high lately, and I would've guessed that it would've fell already, but it keeps climbing. When will it fall? When should we sell? Or should we hold through the next fall?
what comes up must come down.

Before the plug, which occurred in August, bitcoin almost did not become cheaper. Everyone was waiting for this to buy even more coins.
I think that in the softer price of bitcoin will not fall because of the coming fork
But that was because at that point the danger of a split was already solved, the price fell because people thought there was going to be a fork between segwit and segwit2x when this was solved by BIP 91 everyone was happy and things went back to normal, the bitcoin cash fork was the one that did not affect the price, but now we are talking once again about the possible split that may come from segwit2x, so I think a dump in the price is coming if the fork keeps going as planned.

Of course this fork will happen as always, but in my own opinion this will go a lot of challenging moments right now and we can't control those people to feel bad at all just for that speculations. But if we felt advantages that them, then let's just respect their decisions as they dumped their holdings with a specific purpose. Forking normally happened and you can't prevent it.

When? This weekend <4000, quite possible.
I can't assure you with that but it's quite close, the price today is $4,300 so who knows if the price of bitcoin can go lower than $4,000. Look on the Chinese exchanges they are even selling bitcoin at $3,600 due to the "BAN" or whatever it is on their mind. I don't know what's the happening to these Chinese if they really want to give up or just joking.

It's been on a high lately, and I would've guessed that it would've fell already, but it keeps climbing. When will it fall? When should we sell? Or should we hold through the next fall?
what comes up must come down.

Backdrops is part of its volatility. So fluctuations are already expectd. The right time of selling your Bitcoin will always depend on your level of sstisfaction, such that if you are already satisfied of its current price and not wanting any risk, well, you better sell it now when its price is still high. But if you'll wait for a little longer, and sudden drop on its price take place, you should hold it through the fall and wait until it increase again.

In my opinion at all the time is the right time to buy bitcoin because so many people who waited for a good position to buy end up regretting. This is so because upward movement is some how easier for bitcoin as compared to downward movement because bitcoin is getting more and more users.

These days btc has become downtrend little but I agree it is always the best time to buy. As the bitcoin value may increase. So for me I hold btc for a long term even with dump little price will inceease  for sure.

This kind of market correction is sometimes healthy because new investors can go and buy bitcoin. So it should be the other way around for most of us. We don't sell in this kind of dip but instead, buy more and horde and accumulate in small quantities. Because if you just sell today, you may have lost a profit down the future. So its really better to hold bitcoin now instead of selling it off. Those who sold today are the weaker hand and might regret their decision later.

In the ongoing week the price of bitcoin has got decreased several times that too in multiples of $100. Here the risk at precisely entirely dependent on the Chinese market and also the panicking situation won'tast long, because the price decline is happening with the entire cryptocurrency network not only with bitcoin and few other digital currencies.

Today bitcoin price fall down to 4300$ but it wont drop below 4000$. There's no need to worry as the the price will surely pump up to 5000$ in this month only. Moreover I seek it to be favorable time for the investors to get some cheap coin as the price will definitely climb up to the new heights.

Price is getting down right now maybe for the next days it will still go down, so it should be better for those traders to hold their bitcoins right now. For some new traders this is a good chance to buy bitcoin and hold it and think of it as your long term investments. You can sell your bitcoin soon when you meet your price range or when the price is get doubled.

let it fall at this moment many people will protest against it.

Bitcoin value was fall down too much now, but don't panic because it is normally happen in market. However I was bother with the continues decreasing of bitcoin prices, because my income to my investment was declined also.
If the price of Bitcoin decreases makes you feel worry and fearing, I think you should sell your Bitcoin or forget that amount. Because, it affected your emotion and makes you have trouble while you are working.

I can't foresee anything like that,, below $4000 is not happening this year or even next year but that's just my observation.. This past corrections it holds only at $4100 and up and it was never down at that range.. It only means that even rumors and news against or related to cryptocurrency is not effective this days at all.. I think at this rate of observation it will make bitcoin stronger and maybe stabilize in the future..

I think at this point we have strong hands and many long term holders, but If may happen if some whale decides to sell a large amount of Bitcoin, and by that I mean thousands of it. But I also think it's unlikely, since selling so many bitcoins at such price it's a big risk.

I don't think those investors will just do that for as long bitcoin future value is still on the brighter side.. Those whales your saying won't just sold all his holding for no reason or for news or even just because of rumors.. They're not weak hands at all for they're not even looking it as a profit earnings for daily basis but a business that profits on bulked.. But if things get rougher this next week we can't do anything,, Sadly..

Bitfinex has taken a dive below the $4000 mark for two times already after reaching an all time high of $4970 earlier this month. Bitstamp went down all the way to $4001.9 as lowest point.

Realistically speaking, there is nothing that prevents the markets to dive under the $4000 mark if large holders start dumping their coins, where the weak hands will follow after that ~ that's how it always goes here.

If the market remains stagnant and keep bouncing up and down between $4000-$4400, it won't take long before people lose their patience and start dumping ~ we shouldn't forget that a lot people are here for short term gains.

If things take too long, they lose confidence. Some people only bought themselves in this market because of the insane bull run to $5000, where they most likely assumed that it would continue to increase.

Let's give the market some time (a few months) to see what we are up to. At this point we still don't know how the potential hard fork in November, and then mainly the uncertainties, will affect this this market.

Realistically speakinthen the tension between these countries has increased, then this is unambiguous. And today we can not predict what will happen in the future, even looking at what is happening in China today and how the government starts to aggravate the work with the crypto currency. If China and Japan have problems with this business, So we will only hope that Bitcoin will be strengthened in other countriesg, there is nothing that prevents the markets to dive under the $4000 mark if large holders start dumping their coins, where the weak hands will follow after that ~ that's how it always goes here.

for today we already see that there are problems with that that can try to make a fork and with an etherium. Just as we already said November may be marked by the next division of Bitcoin and how this will affect the entire crypto currency. Nobody knows. We have already seen such a fuss in the month of August, but it's nothing like good. So it did not bring bad. Perhaps also in November.

What's the reason for a fall. Right now I don't find any strong reason for a price drop. Maybe due to the China's ban a price fall might happen and the same will start to retain in a short time period. Fluctuations were common with the entire cryptocurrency, we the users were responsible to make it in a beneficial manner.

Quite surprise to find the price fall again after gaining some ground earlier. We are trading around $4200-$4300 and now the price fall to $41xxx. I think it still have something to do with the Chinese shutting down the local exchanges. Although no official statement from the government, there are news already floating around that in 3 months time they are going to shutdown everyone, maybe another round of panic occurs pulling back the price again.

It's been on a high lately, and I would've guessed that it would've fell already, but it keeps climbing. When will it fall? When should we sell? Or should we hold through the next fall?
what comes up must come down.

We cannot prevent the fork but at the same time that does not mean that I’m just going to accept it especially since the miners are playing a very dangerous game with everyones money, the network does not belong to them, they are very important actors but they do not own bitcoin completely and yet they are going to put everyone at risk so they can get a few more dollars.

Forking bitcoin every few months and having three coins competing for the name bitcoin and calling themselves the original and the ones following satoshi vision cannot be good for bitcoin no matter how you slice it, even if the price goes up in the short term that is going to create confusion among people of which coin to use and which one to dump or ignore.

yes it's better to hold it, because it helps the movement of bitcoin values to increase back and higher. Therefore the bitcoin value is unstable, so no one can predict when the increase and decrease in bitcoin value will occur, for that we need to be patient. So do not panic and sell when bitcoin value decreases.

We all don't know when bitcoin will fall,  maybe if we can have time machine we can tell what will happen next so we can be ready but we don't know what wilk happen in our future and with bitcoin, I'll just suggest that save your bitcoin that you have right now and try to wait until the end of the year if there's improvement or maybe if bitcoin will fall.
Bitcoin value now is starting to fall down so deep but I was hoping that their price was stop decreasing, because if the bitcoin value is continuously declining I think all crypto currency will be affected.

Price of other cypto currency generally is depend on bitcoin. If btc prices falls so value of most of coins and vice versa for good coins. Thus if you seen btc rose from 3k to 3800$ so was ETH rose during that time. I think now btc fall will not occur much because already China's factor is accounted unless we hear from some other country banning that would be another issue.

This ups and downs are just normal as a currency. The fluctuations are just around the corner and with this we should be always used to this as traders.
So just hold it and watch closely the market so you won't miss anything.
Most of price fall in bitcoin is mainly due to FUD spread voluntarily to bring down the bitcoin price so that big whales could buy bitcoins at cheap rates. All the FUD were just adding fuel to the fire.Whenever bitcoin's price falls,it has a tendency to immediately increase and get settled in a new price much higher than previous price. This time, despite china's actions against bitcoin,it is performing well and so,it would be better to just hold bitcoins.

but i am sure that it will not drop too much and hope that it will get a good support as in previous we have seen that bitcoin is got a good support from its users, and the price reaching to 3000$ start increasing again, so this time we are hoping again that it will again get a good support from the bitcoin investors and the price will not drop from 3000$

Exactly in bitcoin we dont know when it will fall. Even it is downtrend the bitcoin value may increase. Actually price may decrease and increase but since it is going stronger hodling is the best. And we couldnt say when is really the time when it wil fall.

Bitcoin is holding steady around $3,600, following heavy losses sparked by news that chinese exchange BTCC and rivals will cease trading at the end of September. It has done well, It could be worse.

As long as there is Ask and Bid, Bitcoin will never die. Why does Bitcoin go down dramatically? all because of our worries about the price drop, so we sell Bitcoin without thinking, because we think the loss is better 50% than not returning at all. because that is the cause of its decline in the value of Bitcoin.

The reason for the decrease in the cost of bitcoin is the negative news from China. I think that this will last until the government takes its final decision on the crypto currency. Then there may be a price drop before a sharp price increase

I think we're going to fall to $2500 over the next week, I think we'll get a strong bounce back up to $3600 though, then continue to drop back down.

Yeah I seen it and the possibility is there, as I checked lately. We will possibly see that $2500 next week if this current situations will got worse. But the strong bounce back might be similar to the previous times from past months, which brought other investors regrets of not investing their money for less cheaper bitcoin and eventually price rises back few days after sudden fall.

I'm not seeing any possibility that it is going to happen. And we are now at $3,600 so I guess the bounce back will become higher than you are expecting. Are you aware guys that there is another FUD that is being spread by Jamie Dimon? He's attacking now the whole crypto currencies and said that it is a fraud. yes i also think so that there is no such possibalities that the price of bitcoin will fell down to such a low price, i think that bitcoin price is already trading in a low price and it will hopefully not fell down below 3000$ and i am sure that bitcoin will get a very good support at that level and people will surely trade bitcoin at that level and will give a good support to bitcoin, and hopefully its price will start increasing again very soon.

I'm just trying to be strong here and keeps on saying that there is no possibility that we will see the price of bitcoin at $2,500 or even lower. Bitcoin is volatile and you must know that anything can happen with its price any moment from now on. But if we are positive and will just hold on and support bitcoin at that moment of fall, we can still see the rise of bitcoin fast.

Yes, it is the cause of the decline in bitcoin value yesterday because China's largest Bitcoin market, BTCC will close, following the Chinese Government's ban on the virtual currency. making bitcoin users panicked and selling it.

Still a week to go before the first ever local Chinese exchanges shuts down its operation. Maybe along today and at the end of the week we may see price correction but I doubt that it will crash the market as big as what happened two weeks ago. But you have to braced yourself for another set of FUD waves coming our way, because they will likely create panic so that a people would sold their coins and then they will get it at the floor price. So again, we need to stay calm from the onslaught of FUD and be patience and hodl on our bitcoin.

It's been on a high lately, and I would've guessed that it would've fell already, but it keeps climbing. When will it fall? When should we sell? Or should we hold through the next fall?
what comes up must come down.

in trading, the trend is your friend! You should not venture into it without any knowledge on how to analyze trend up or down. I will not expect bitcoin price to take down ward movement or embarking on bearish market now as the major reason of what we are afraid of has come and go without any significant price fall.  Now is still time to buy more bitcoin as long term investors.

this is why we need to learn more in trading if we want to know how to analyze the trend. and now the price is still around at $36xx and i think we can buy at lower price now before we see the price is increase soon. but if you are not sure, you can wait for a while to see the price is down and then you can buy some bitcoin.

The contrary news from China has influenced bitcoin price badly. The price is still around 3600$ but the price will surely soon uptrend as it has potential to rise and it will. So its the time to invest in it and get some of them at low to get huge profits in future.

All of us cannot answer that, we all know that we can't say when will it fall. Just always monitor the price of bitcoin if you want to buy bitcoin. Or if bitcoin rise you should sell it because that is the right time to sell bitcoin. Monitoring is good from time to time.

Bitfinex has taken a dive below the $4000 mark for two times already after reaching an all time high of $4970 earlier this month. Bitstamp went down all the way to $4001.9 as lowest point.

At this point we still don't know how the potential hard fork in November, and then mainly the uncertainties, will affect this this market.
for today we already see that there are problems with that that can try to make a fork and with an etherium. Just as we already said November may be marked by the next division of Bitcoin and how this will affect the entire crypto currency. Nobody knows. We have already seen such a fuss in the month of August, but it's nothing like good. So it did not bring bad. Perhaps also in November.
As you mentioned that we have seen these speculations in August and after panic we are seeing bitcoin with continuous increase in the price. I am sure that November panic is also based on speculations and bitcoin price would never effect by November speculations.

I don’t believe in any hard fork now that may be proved harmful for bitcoin journey. A bit down in the price is not a fall of bitcoin in my opinion.

The fluctuations on the markets are normal, however if a person is a newbie or comes from trading stocks or in other markets it can be difficult to get used to the idea that a crash of 20% is not catastrophic, if the stock market crashes 7% everyone is like it is the end of the world but for bitcoin losing 20% is not a big deal and can recover that percentage easily on the next day.

The segwit2 hardfork in november will definitely make the price fall, days before it's scheduled and even if it doesn't happen. Now I'm not going to talk about the process itself because even if nothing happens it's still going to have a big impact on the market and not only bitcoin. I believe bitcoin price will increase more so if you have extra money in your pocket I think this is the right time to buy bitcoin and for sure you will be happy for the result because you will earn profit in the future. I would like to suggest its better if you hold your bitcoin because if you sell it now you lose some profit and that possible you earn. But it depends to you what will you do to your bitcoin.

Right now may not be the best moment. It's better to wait for november and see what happens with the fork, it's fine if you are buying now to sell but if you are planning to hold it might not be the best idea.

I think this coming fork is very different from the previous one, the previous fork was done out of nowhere and it is very obvious that is nothing more than a way to try to get money by creating a cheap clone, the segwit2x seems like a real attempt to try to replace bitcoin, most of the miners and several big business and exchanges are in favor of this fork, only users seems to be against this, so the drop in price is going to be very significant.

I guess for as beginners we see this downfall as an opportunity to buy bitcoin at a much lower price which it is the time of the day when you must seek your fortune. As for when you are going to sell now may not be the right based on the price downfall, its like analyzing the pricing at the stock market wait for the perfect opportunity to sell patience so that you can fully maximize your investment.

Many people like the fact that bitcoin goes down in price so they can get some cheap bitcoin, it is not really complicated, they have fiat and are not willing to pay prices so high so they wait until bitcoin begins to drop, after that they can do whatever they want with their bitcoin, they can sell it, or they can keep it in hopes the price keeps getting up and hold it long term.

Several users have described that by the upcoming fork the price fall will happen. As a start now itself FUD had started to spread and this will create a early panic among the users stopping the price growth to reach the next level. In my view, it's all about the fluctuations, whether fork or something else price increase continues after drops.

Definitely? Seems you are so sure of your prediction already. This will be like any other fork and what makes you think it will be so different? You can as well just dump what you have so that some of us can have some little profit to play around with.

If anything should have happened to bitcoin, major impact would have been the August fork, there doesn't seem to be too much debate on this, although so many developments are going on without consensus but I had rather see this as just another profit making method after having another forked chain. Hope it gets pumped like BCC too (no offence).
Nothing is definitive, it seems the people and the business that signed the New York Agreement are slowly leaving the ship, so the fork is going to be a lot less impressive than what we thought at first and that is if the fork happens at all, the miners are smart, they want to earn money but doing such a thing may cause them to lose money and that is something they probably do not want.

For bitcoin price to fall again, I think that might reach January 2018 - After December people normally spend all their money.
People will be dumping bitcoin in January I guess because they will be needing money in their hands as they spend lots of money in December.

anything going up will going down but when. we all dont know. what i know bitcoin will hard to fall down below $3k now. but still we dont know even. anything possible in cryptocurrency. when it does happen dont hold your breath to sell it quickly. what i know today bitcoin cash has rises. the pump on bitcoin cash eventually has start. do your research more in the future bro.

Bitcoin should max to 6k this month then drop to 4.5k i think, that's when you can buy before the next wave
But again, i'm not an oracle lol

I think we're about to enter into the third and steepest leg on this rally, at which we maybe get blowoff top in 10-15k range before a pretty catastrophic fall.

The segwit2 hardfork in november will definitely make the price fall, days before it's scheduled and even if it doesn't happen. Now I'm not going to talk about the process itself because even if nothing happens it's still going to have a big impact on the market and not only bitcoin. I personally will not be holding bitcoins when it gets close to the date.

You looked confidence to your speculation, but what is your basis? How can you arrived on that prediction? because if you have no good opinion just shut down your imagination regarding segwit2. Therefore if you have evidence regarding hardfork give us and show the proof  that it will happen this coming November. Due to more people are reading this thread and I think they don't want see any speculation or prediction without any proof.

When will it fall?
It won't fall right now and for this year and even for the next years to come. There will be some correction but it won't fall.

When should we sell?

I would probably sell one bitcoin when the price hits $10,000 and now we are half on it.

Or should we hold through the next fall?

Don't expect for a fall, there might be some adjustments but don't think that way if you want to be a long term holder it's a good one.

what comes up must come down.

But bitcoin is different it is a deflationary currency.

I believe there is no need debating too much about this as everybody actually have their own opinion. However, I have not really seen much users who really have been able to say how much they really detest the November fork so far (unless there is something I have been missing so far). And even if some do, do you think anyone will really want to gamble selling what they have after all that happened during the August fork ?

I won't be surprised if there won't be any drop in price at all as I am sure most users including the big ones you talked about will only end up dumping the forked chain quickly for bitcoin once it arrives.

I think the current situation already tells that we are going in an uptrend before the fork.  I also believe that Bitcoin price keep on increasing until the last day of fork because speculative investor think that they will get a good profit from the minor chain once the fork is done.  This is, I think, the main reason why Bitcoin has suddenly an fast increase in price this two days.

With the current pricing at $5200, a significant growth after its been down to $3000. I don't see any possible dip, although Segwit2x is still to come. The dips or falling in pricing is hard to determine but we can see clues from the news circulating, speculation from hodlers and historical data.

No, we do not have to wait until the fork comes to be able to see the price fall. yeah for now the price is rising but bitcoin prices can go down because in my opinion we are new just above the level of $ 5000.

The price of Bitcoin has continue the bullish trend and breakout $5,400 but I also have thought like you, the price of Bitcoin still needs to confirm its value at least in one day. I think current value of Bitcoin just by the fearing of missing out created on the market.

Probably we are going to hit $6k dollars next week and then we might fall from their buy orders are good as of now.

I agree. No one can really predict what will happen as Bitcoin has one of the very volatile prices in the economy. But I think, it maybs not now but someday in the future, Bitcoin will have a big fall on price. This is probably when the price ceiling will hit then it can no longer go uo its price anymore which will make many investors sell their Bitcoins. And when they sell, then demand and price will drop.

However, this is also an opportunity for others and buy now at a very low price. In this way, taking it as an opportunity and buying Bitcoins at its time of low value, will help it recover and be back at a high price.
