I have just been following the steps closely to complete the DOVU Bounty campaign, i believe i have everything in order.  This is one of the most promising ICO's i have seen in a long time, the CEO's have excellent experience and  expertise.

Alright... sounds good. But what can we do with it en why do we need DOV? Can someone give me (a few) examples?  ???

From my understanding it's API sharing between companies - for example, data on trains can be crossed with data on weather or data from in-car computers can be bought and sold, or insurance companies who install black boxes to record driving behaviour can make that data available.

There are so many data sets arising from transport and I believe DOVU will make them available on a blockchain-based network so companies and individuals can do research and cross different sets for data insight. At the moment nobody shares this stuff but DOVU will help learning and this is why the government backed them in the early stage as it ticks the box for 'smart cities' agenda.

it is more for companies than individuals but the system will support individuals selling their data to the grid.

I am interested in this project but I am struggling to find answers to some questions:

1. I would like to know more about this "user growth fund"? Is it like a distribution center and recycle bin for tokens at the same time? I.e. tokens will be distributed to DOVU systems that contribute value adding data from this "user growth fund" and if the tokens are not used within 6 months then they get revoked back into the fund?

2. How will individuals even know they have accumulated DOVU tokens?

3. At what rate do the tokens get rewarded and how many DOVU tokens are required for purchases (examples of cost and examples of what apps will be available on the marketplace)?

4. After the token sale, how can one get hold of the DOVU tokens? Will they be listed on exchanges and if so, are there any on board?

5. I assume the ICO tokens never expire and can be loaded to an Ethereum Wallet address?

Do you have any clients on board to begin using the services? If so, whom and by when?

Lastly, the DOVU token issued during the ICO, what can an average person actually do with them that buys into the ICO?

If the tokens won't be listed on any exchanges (which remains to be seen as per your answer), then how can people monitor investment value and at some point "cash out"?

Will there be multiple rounds of crowdsale? I am asking this because you are only selling 25% of the tokens during crowdsale what will happen to the rest?

I like this Project but they are not realy proactive on sharing and providing Community with information. I hope results from presale is announced today in order to facilitate participation in the mainsale.

The reason why the hard cap is so high is that we wanted to give  everyone that is interested in our project the ability to contribute.
The more funds we raise the more we can invest within our ecosystem.
We listened to the community about being excluded by whales from projects. This approach removes that issue.

your hard cap is that 85362, and you raised 17k ether during the pre sale. so in other words, you only now need to 68362 ether to be able to reach your hardcap. please clarify

I think the whale argument is a bit biase... Only a individual max cap contribution would solve the whale eating up all the coins, if you really want a better distribution, reduce the max amount each one can contribute...

I think it will make hard cap in short time. There's Jaguar and Landrover on the back. According to the news I read today, these companies will be given info for sale. Road information, accident reports, weather, etc. And they will give money to those giving information. I think it's a good project. need not to miss.

After calculated the raised funds and number of participants, I can see the average investor has invested more than $ 10,000 per person.

ICO part is too little, the team is too greedy, no way.

The team gets 15% ? Seems about the going rate.  So harsh to say greedy or am i missing out on something?

this project collected far less than what it should due to current market climate, but i still believe in the project and i think it will do pretty good after the token sale.

The project seems to really useful. The team is attending a conference in different countries, or giving an interview to media. Land rover and Jaguar support the project according to their web pages and white papers. People are in doubt because the bounties are still untouched. I guess they are waiting for after the fork to distribute.

Projects like this dovu, humaniq, ripple etc. I think that they can be valued in very long walks (ripple has already been assessed). The reason for the high amount of tokens is not that the tokens are held by investors, but the companies are used by users. This will take time. But this was not nice to fall  when everything was rising. I think everyone escaped with prestige subcoins during this process. I expect it to be $ 1 this month.

User growth fund tokens will be released for user growth fund purposes, team tokens for incentives, etcetera. The ultimate goal is to increase token utility. The reserve (300 million) is locked in for 2 years. Because tokens enter circulating supply for projects etc., this doesn’t mean that they are going to be immediately traded on exchanges. They are circulating for project use. DOV is a utility token.

that sounds really good because this coin should be thought of in the future and not just in the short term but must be in long term development

I see so many awesome projects but then when I look at the coin supply it disappoints me. Like seriously why does the company need to control 99.9% of the supply? This is why I cannot take these coins seriously. Why would I want to put my money into nothing that can be devalued with millions of coins over the long run? Its not financially attractive at all. I think this is going to be a huge draw back to some of these up and coming projects.

There literally is no reason for them to retain 99% of the supply. There are so many successful trustworthy projects that only hold about 10% of the supply and they have more than enough money to build a successful company.

Unfortunately because of this I will have to pass on this one however it looks like a great idea and I wish it success.

That is because Dovu is still very very early in its progress, and it is very under the radar.  I guarantee you if they have a successful pilot and land a partnership or two with a major OEM then all of a sudden everybody will know about dovu.  It's not just about what exchange it's on, although that does help and Dovu probably needs to be on a better exchange.  The hitbtc withdraw fees for Dovu are beyond insane.

Yeah I have no doubts about that, it's strange to see the lack of attention for Dovu at the moment despite this being a speculation market, but it's really only a matter of time considering the potential of what you're working on behind the scenes.  Good luck, and will continue to support your project in the future.

We have a marketing plan set up but we cannot really do a lot of marketing until we are out of the NDA's and we can talk more about our proof of concept and about the projects we are currently working on.

This is the most common criticism I see of this project. People really need to do their research a little better. Especially before calling projects a scam; it essentially amounts to I DIDNT LOOK INTO THIS AT ALL BUT LOOK AT THIS SUPERFICIALLY SCARY THING.

I'll be generous though.

.3B tokens were available in the token sale they actually ended up burning .236  (not exact amounts) hence the 63 mil in circulating supply i.e. Tradeable

.42B tokens are allocated to a user growth fund. These are earned by contributing to the quality of the ecosystem. These can only be used within the DOVU ecosystem for value added services. Unused user growth fund tokens get returned after 6 months to be used for new users. In other words these won't be traded on exchanges they'll be used in the ecosystem that DOVU creates

.18B for team building. These are vested in six month installments. These could be exchanged and added to the circulating supply.

.3B are reserved/locked down for two years

1.5 mil for the bounty

So the team has 3x the circulating supply but divided up into 4 installments so that should be a pretty gradual introduction into circulation. Not to mention with everything the team is accomplishing it's highly unlikely they devalue their own token by dumping

And a little under 5x after two years. Based on their very aggressive road map DOVU is going to be rocking by then. Will it cause some inflation and FUD? Yes but I don't think that will impact anything in the next 18 months, and even then this is one of the most professional teams I've ever seen. They aren't hyping and pumping, they are delivering solid content about their project, nailing milestones (BMW pilots and probably many more in the coming months), and for them to build all that then destroy their token but market selling .3B is highly unlikely. They'll get what they've earned and enjoy the rest as they continue to grow. That's just my opinion after looking into this for a few months I could be wrong, but that's my wager

I think the categorisation of circulating supply vs total supply can be a bit misleading, as all tokens have been already minted.

I find myself daydreaming fairly regularly these days about how the future might look. Arwen really sparked something with her article on nudge economics. The ability to use tokens to gamify parts of our lives in a way that other incentivization techniques can only do in a clunky fumbling sort of way is fascinating. Looking forward to your update on circulating supply and whatever other awesome surprises you have coming our way.

But too few exchanges cause DOVU to be out of circulation, so we should get more platforms so that there will be mobility.

I would like DOVU to be on a bigger exchange more reliable exchange as well. Well really I would just like a fast and easy way to exchange dovu. Whatever that mechanism may be. The UX of going to an exchange is something we all deal with and is normal but most people aren't going to do all that. The use case for this token only benefits people if they can exchange their DOV for fiat or products/services (giving it value) quickly and easily.

So I think it's inherent to the vision that within this system there is a fast and easy to use exchange.

All speculation, but if I'm right then it's a milestone, and with the way the team has been executing milestones, Hitting multiple pilots in different fields, one being successful with BMW, and developing those relationships more then I have little doubt that they'll accomplish this at some point. Long story short hodl and be rewarded imo. They've unlocked a whole realm of use cases and mobility will be changed because of it. This is easily one of the most unnoticed projects that could easily transform the world. Just my .02 though, and I'm wrong a lot.

Now it's the people outside the circle about DOVU, because of your road show, but the people in the circle are also one of your goals. It should be publicized at the same time, exchange more in the forum, so that more people can understand the DOVU.

The reward system is in real time so you can verify immediately that you are getting the tokens for your actions.

Once you export our tokens to the mainchain, you are able to track them on Etherscan or similar like any erc20 token.
