Title: What are you mining today?
Post by: Deki1904 on August 25, 2017, 12:52:02 AM
Hi,

What are you guys ming right now?

I was mining 1 month Signatum and change it to DGB.

Not sure if ETC plus LBRY would be better.

I have 11x gtx 1080ti and 5xGtx 1070s

Also is there any platform you can track new pow coins for Mining being released?

Cheers

I dual mine UBQ+DCR with my 10 RX 4XX/5XX cards. Not because Ubiq is the most profitable coin to mine, but because I believe it will be a profitable coin to hold. I have a single 1080 that is mining ZEC.

I am currently mining ZEC with my relatively new rig of 3GB 1060s that I got for cheap. At this point, I'm converting earnings to USD every few weeks and plan to keep doing so until I *mostly* repay the initial investment. After that, I might play around and HODL other coins.

I'm also mining ZEC with an old rig of 7000 series cards. (Electricity is cheap where I am.)

With my older cards I am mining Zcash and with newer RX series i am mining Ether + Decred
They seem to be most stable in terms of return. Some coins give more but it is short lived

If you plan to mind ethereum, then it is best to get amd instead of nvidia cards, because amd generate better hashrate to ethash. Power supply wattage will depends on which gpu you wanted to have.

Minergate I guess hahaha but seriously it will just harm your laptop better to stop it you won't get anything from that much better to buy staking coin then leave it inside your laptop allow the coin open to stake and grow your coins right now I'm still with ETH and still hoping that it will continue to rise and holding will be a good option.

my polarises now on (ETH/ETC)&DCR and some on ZEC (to keep it cooler)

no jokes there. even if you are into mining for purely ideological reasons it's still very likely that making the most out of your equipment would enable you to give/get the most of whatever is it you are after...

It is nothing confusing, if your GPUs are AMD, go for ethereum, or nvidia go for zcash. I checked yesterday on whattomine, seems like signatum is the most profitable coin for 1080ti now. So, maybe you can also try out signatum.

Hi there,

https://whattomine.com/

On this site you can see the most profitable mining coins today and you can mining for a different coin every day. I'm just doing Zencash mining right now. I also joined the signature campaign because I think Zencash's long-term value will increase.

SIGT is approaching 60,000 block and will half mining reward so I have been thinking about switching to another coin.  I have 1x 960, 3x 1050 Ti, 5x 1070, 3x 1080, and 4x 1080 Ti.  Whattomine is saying LBC as the most profitable with the Z clones nearby and Sibcoin (x11) making an appearance - shouldn't x11 coins be getting ASIC mined right about now?  Anyways, does anyone have a good recommendation on how to decide on one the Z coins?

The last time I looked we were actually mining bird. We were able to Sock away a couple of million within a couple of hours. Of course that brought the difficulty up and we backed off, but I'm sure it's right back down again. There's plenty of coins that you can attack wholehearted like this and most of them are very easy to mine.

I disagree. If it's a legitimate coin with good development and roadmap, drawing attention to it is a good thing. If more people start mining it and the difficulty goes up, some will decide it's better to buy the coin instead of trying to mine. The end result is it raises the marketcap and the price for everyone.

Some of have some value some of don't but as long as they're even carrying a couple of satoshi a piece then it's well worth it. Before you decide to mine a coin, you should know that the particular coin is worth mining and it can really worth the time and power mining that particular coin.

Currently mining Verium [VRM] for PoW and Vericoin [VRC] for PoS.

Since Verium can only be mined with a CPU, it leaves my video card open to mine something else, like ETH.

- msi rx 570 armor 4 gb for 272€
- msi rx 570 gaming x 4 gb for 279€

I have two 6 card rx580 rigs... I also have 2M Bitbean. The Beans almost equal the rigs in sprouts (stakes) and were cheaper. I wish I had known that before I bought all that stuff to make the rigs. IMHO.

I just turn to XMR these days since ETH is not so profitable recently. I always choose most profitable coin to mine. Before that, I try to mine SIGT, but it's not so profitable and a little bit difficult for transferring (You can only trade on Cryptopia). So, I won't choose SIGT to mine, XMR is the first choice now.

Hi,

What are you guys ming right now?

I was mining 1 month Signatum and change it to DGB.

Not sure if ETC plus LBRY would be better.

I have 11x gtx 1080ti and 5xGtx 1070s

Also is there any platform you can track new pow coins for Mining being released?

Cheers
For now im not mining thru GPU but i do still have a mining farm which it is not a gpu but a harddrive. Yes, im mining Burst coin and i would say that im really enjoying it because its not too hassle to configure it out and does doesnt consume much power. I did bought lots of 500gb secondhand hard drives on our place and i would say im profitable on mining burst.

there are a couple of different types of coins, mainly proof of work and proof of stake. PoS coins build up for you if you hold them for a while on your computer.  So since I hold bitbean I get more bitbeans, no expensive, house-heating electricity hogs needed.

With my GPU rigs (AMD and NVIDIA cards) I'm mining ETH. I believe that there will be a huge price increase in the future so I think that's simply the best way to go. Just mine as many ETH as possible before switching to ETC with my AMD cards and to Zcash or maybe Zencash with my Nvidia cards.

For my ASIC, a Baikal 600 Mh/s, I've been mining Digital price over the last month. Dash became pretty uninteresrting since the huge difficulty increase, that's why I changed to DP which still uses the X11 algorithm.
But there's a new big player in the game for some weeksw now: DeepOnion
The X11 profitability is decreasing, that's why you should switch to X13. Two days ago, you were able to mine 4 DeepOnion in 24h, which equals 16$ at the current price of DeepOnion; of course there will nbe a huge increase in price with DeepOnion in my opinion!

I also would like to know if you are getting anything with cpu mining Monero. Do you have a ryzen farm? Or just mining on idle cpu while gpu is mining something else?

I was mining Monero on CPU about 10 days ago but as it spiked and the popularity picked up it wasn't worth it to me. I have a few servers that are RAM intensive so I can hit 5-5.KH/s when pooled together. Even at that it is slow progress.

So now is Aero for CPU and Musiccoin for GPU.

I don't think that even CPU mining is profitable on a Ryzen system. They're to expensive with all the other components which must be AM4 ready.

With my MSI R9 380 2G I tried Expanse (EXP) for 2 weeks and it has given good enough profit. Now it's about 1-1.5$ per day from single 2Gb card

Please take in account that your 1070 cards have GDDR5 memory and the 1080ti have GDDR5X, that's why the 1080ti is way better for Equihash, like Zcash and you should use your 1070 for Ethash, like Ethereum.
When you mine Ethash with your 1080ti you're not using the full potential of the card.

SIGT!  Low difficulty gives lots of coins  :)

Lots of coins that aren't worth poop, But what do I know :P

With my older cards I am mining Zcash and with newer RX series i am mining Ether + Decred
They seem to be most stable in terms of return. Some coins give more but it is short lived

What new cards? & what's the advantage of mining both? I know lots do it but never quite understood the advantage. How is your Eth hashrate effected when you mine both?

I don't understand, I thought for Ethash that requires high gpu memory for DAG should use faster gpu memory? Then gtx 1080ti with faster GDDR5X should go for Ethash?

The Hashrate stays the same...only disadvantage that your cards will use a bit more power. The advantage is that u can mine eth and some other coin...so its more profitable...and the dual coins are great projects..look at sia or decreed. i like them

12x AMD GPU, I am not focused on single coin, lately I am switching coins, sometimes etherium, musicoin, expanse, deeponion, etc, & alot more. The difficulty has been increase drastically, so my game plan is mine altcoins as much as possible and sell it whenever it will become profitable.

That's my strategy also, and the window of opportunity for each altcoin is certainly getting shorter and shorter these days. Just for example, from the time when I heard about ubiq and starting mining, to the time the difficulty almost tripled, it took about three weeks.

Ok I'll look into that. I'm using claymore dual as it is right now only mining Eth though. My 1070s are at 125watts. What would you think also mining decred would increase that to?
