It is good that Bitcoin's price is so high since many gained many profit from it. But this hype is too much. Bitcoin is so much expensive now and every step we see Bitcoin increase. Well, I say it is time to go down. A price around 3000 USD is reasonable but going beneath that is much preferred.

What would it take to make Bitcoin's value to drop again? A new hard fork? whales dumping coins? anything, I just hope Bitcoin to drop tremendously.

I can see your point. But if you are wishing Bitcoin to drop just so you can buy, then you are wrong. Every time Bitcoin is increasing and you might today is late but today can even be early. Because as time passes by Bitcoin is increasing and increasing. It would be your lose if you would just wait for it to go down. Better buy now than its too late. Its not necessarily buying a whole Bitcoin but you can buy small amount of it then you can use that at least for trading.

November hard fork is coming.
Miners are aalresdy moving to Bitcoin cash.
The remaining miners will probably mostly move to the new fork.
You will get your cheap coins.

I think of investing into bitcoin, if it falls to $3500. I have saved around $700 and waiting for an opportunity to buy bitcoin 0.2btc. I can get the desired amount only if the price drops, else need to invest at the increased price and wait for another price pumping to get the profit.

One thing that might do it is the congestion in the bitcoin network. The number of bitcoin transactions per 24 hour period has dropped to about 209,000, down from 250,000, and the backlog has increased.

If this continues, people will just give up using bitcoin and use litecoin, ether or bitcoincash to move money.

I think it's hard to drop for now because many people are selling their bitcoins. And,as expected there will be a big chances coming that it will decrease soon. For now let's just wait patiently because we don't know someday there will be a higher possibility that it will drop for the mean time. Let's wait and see.

If all Bitcoin owners agree not to sell despite 1 satoshi, I am sure Bitcoin price in one month could rise more than 25% even more.

The reason should be obvious. If people choose to switch away from Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash is likely the worst choice possible since it has the same miners behind it as behind Bitcoin mining. It would be like jumping out of the frying pan into the fire directly. Why would miners behave differently with BCash if their primary goal remains the same, i.e. earning highest possible profits? As like that you can expect he dump too in price movement. Value use to increase and decrease that is tendency from the past 3 years. 1/4 the of the bitcoin price will increase means may I know which andvehat special day gonna fall in future to get the good profit for holders.

The hard fork is yet to come not now but maybe next month. Some said that it will happen at November which will be a very long time i guess for you to wait, but if you could wait that long then you will get your cheap price of bitcoin. Even if November is not coming yet i think there will be a hard fork by this coming month $3500 is a good price for you to buy too, but i'd still wonder if it will ever hit to that price since the pricing will just drop to $3800-$3900. This will be your best choice if you want to gain a quick profit or just wait till you get what you desired.

The price will inevitably fall with the nov hard fork but I wonder if BTC will ever recover. The hard fork last time I checked had 90% miner support. Just think about it, BTC might get replaced

I don't think that bitcoin now will drop tremendously because a lot of investors had already put their cash into the ecosystem and whales cannot manipulate the price anymore. And even if it drop, it will not drop significantly because people will quickly jump on the hype train and buy bitcoin back.

Aren't you happy that you have some bitcoins holding out there and you are seeing your money grows? I know that you want to buy back but it's not a good idea to say that bitcoin should drop and you are hoping for it. There will be some drops but bitcoin can easily get back and recover from these falls because of the fast market with it and it's happening all the time.

It's good to buy while the price still at current rate now, don't hope for any droppings of price and you can't be certain about that because the demand of today was still higher. That's a right point of view about of it's price it will really kept on increasing sophisticatedly everyday as it changes it's current price variations in the marketplace. You can just buy an asset of at least 20% of that whole price right now so you can invest a holdings by the time price reached the top price, and when the goals hit you can sell for profit gains.

In this case I would migrate to LTC and I think many people would do the same like always... When BTC network start being congested people migrate their transactions to AltCoins like ETH, LTC or DOGE and I hope it continue this way... If Bitcoin Cash becomes strong I think it won't be good for Crypto-Currency in general. The way that currency was created didn't seem nice.

About the BTC price I don't know why it's so high yet and continue increasing, I thought it would drop hard days ago when it reached to about $3600, but recovered too fast... Unpredictable.

Honestly for now there is no possibility of the drop of the price because there many holders are strongly holding their bitcoins for now because there is possibility that the price of bitcoin can be increase more soon But there is one thing that i think it can be a problem..
About the default fee in bitcoinfees are increased too much that i think it can be affected all transaction to be more slow for those who are paying for low fee if you are not paying in default fee your transaction can be it takes 1 day or more depends how much you pay for the fee..
And hope that they can fix this because this is really the real problem .

A drop would be nice, given that a coin is at $4200 as of this writing. Snatching up a few along the way wouldn't hurt given that the momentum of the trend is still there.


If these rogue miners continue on explicitly refusing transactions on the blocks they're mining, then maybe it's time to put my money on something else but certainly not BCH. I could try ETH or Zcash but never will I put my money together with the people who only wants to make profit for themselves and not help others.

I too believe that current levels are a bit on the higher side, but that doesn't mean the market will really start to come down as result. As long as people are buying up the price after a dump, we'll stay at current levels longer.

Other than that, people have had enough time and opportunities to buy themselves as many coins as possible at levels way below what we are at today, but still they managed to screw up these opportunities.

If you really look to wait for the price to go down before you start buying, then just keep waiting ~ one way or another, the price will go down as I don't believe the market can sustain currant levels for much longer.

Bitcoin price may decline again in November when segwit2x hard fork will happen, any bad news will affect bitcoin price but not sure how much it will drop.
I expect bitcoin price could fall down to $3000 again, and current price will slowly increases until reach over $5000, so if you want to buy bitcoin just buy it right now, sell at the peak and buy back at the dip in November.

I think the price will not drop until $3k its really a small price for bitcoin and there is possibility that the price can be increase more this coming months.

Why do you hope it will go down? Is it because you late to buy and then you wish everything to fall apart? The bad news is it wont be dropping until 3000$ anymore, the circulating amount is high so it got a very low chance bitcoin back to 3000$ and whale dumping can caused bitcoin price to drop but it will only temporary because a lot of people is waiting for low price to buy

I guess bitcoin will drop by september but it won't probably last if it will fall I think only for few days like what happen before the hard fork then suddenly pump and reach $4500. I am hoping after the drop it will pump and reach $5000.

Well if that will happen again I guess its already anticipated and whale won't take that risk and try shaking the market bitcoin will keep doing some little correction but like others position it won't drop that hard so better to start buying now then sorry after seeing it flying for more.

i think there is any chance for bitcoin price to drop but we don't know how much the price drop but for sure, we can buy at lower price although if the price is at $39xx-$4xxx is still high price but we can make profit if the price is increase again. I think the drop is just for correction before its up more than before.

OP, whats with this? everyone wants bitcoin price to constantly increase and you don't want that thing. If you missed to buy when its low I advice that you should start buying now as bitcoin will never go down as what you wish. And even hardfork and fuds will never affect that much. The price now is going to the moon and no one can stop this.

Still depends the ratio drop of Bitcoin in that time. Example if Bitcoin drop down like in 2013-2014, it will create panic selling on market and make the price of Bitcoin dump to lowest price, so need many time for recovery to old highest price (from 2014 until 2017 lol)

You are asking this because you have sold the bitcoins in low price , but even last week the bitcoin price dropped to 3600+ price that time you could have bought it after that only it rises back to 4300+ level so you should be ready to buy on any drop and dont expect to drop heavy low if that happens even then also you wont buy because you will that time expect more low.

It looks more like miners are moving their hashpower to the coin which is more profitable to mine at present. In about a day the mining difficulty for BCash will readjust (again), and there will be no particular advantage to mine this alternative Bitcoin since its price is still a few times lower than genuine Bitcoin's. After difficulty adjustment, miners will be prompted to continue mining regular Bitcoin until the BCash difficulty goes down again. Ultimately, it is the price that matters, and miners can't affect it much (at least, not in the long term)

Yeah. It's made a triple top, and in the last attempt didn't even reach it's previous all time high. Which means it's likely to drop from here.

Expecting bitcoin to drop because we want to enjoy like the current price, which means there is regret for our act in bitcoin before. You know what, OP? I am sorry to extinguish the light of hopes you had in your heart but you will not be able to see a 1/3^rd price reduction just because you need it. There's no way back for Bitcoins because Japan and Korea are strongly purchasing it and making it even more costly for you and everyone here, so it's better you buy them atm at these rates while you still can and keep them with yourself and wait till it doubles. Or try your hands on alts, maybe your intention get satisfied after doing that.

And currently $ 4300, a stability is showing the good future of bitcon, there is not any indication that bitcoin will go down, and I think it will have a "pump" in the end of this year.

The bitcoin will be going down if the trend already reached by the coimpetitor coin like bitcoin cash. that was taking a lot of the time and that will be happening in short time. The dump of bitcoin aslready passsed and you will be see the more pump in the future.

A lot are hoping for the drop so they can make a cheap buy on bitcoin, but the price is going stable towards up and nothing can surely stop the price from rising instead of the bad news affecting the value of it, of a massive sell out of fear, but for now there is no commotion of some sort and we are steadily sailing the sea of calmness towards rising.

The only thing that is affecting Bitcoins real hard and stopping it from going above 5k is the fear among users:
Fear of miners switching to BCH
Fear of SegWit2x
Fear of another possible hard fork if the above happens
Fear of fee

Ya now the price of bitcoin moving forward to the stability. The price is now in the stability of 4000$ for longer. But previously, it value was not some how stable. At first it value is fluctuates in 3000$.Once it also fluctuations of 2500$.So the price of bitcoin will not reduce the low value.

It went low to that level in recent past but now I don't think that the price of bitcoins will fall that low in coming weeks and price is going higher so we may see much increase in the price in coming weeks too and if you want to buy bitcoins then you should buy it now as price may even go to $5k in next couple of weeks.

It dip at 3% yesterday but it looks like the dip is a perfect opportunity for most investors and bought bitcoin back eventhough the price is high at $4xxx. So now are in green again at $43xx. I believe that there are huge investors that are willing to enter the market anytime soon, its that they are waiting for the perfect timing to go and pour in cash. I speculate that around December, we will see a new growth heading to $5000-$6000. So, its really hard to hope that bitcoin can go as low as $3000 now. Maybe the lowest could be $3600 that we have seen a few days weeks ago. If it dip at $3500, I'm seeing a panic buying again and in no time we are going to touch $4xxx leading to $5000-$6000 at the end of the year.

Yeah these things can make BTC'S price to drop, and a hard fork is probably coming, the segwit2x fork but I'm not sure if it's gonna happen or not. I think you are looking to buy BTC, it would be good if you buy right now because there is no saying in next month BTC might even reach $5000.

I think you are planning to buy bitcoin at a price dip.But remember,bitcoin has successfully survived after hard fork and thats why bitcoin price has increased this much.Its price is expected to rise more after november when segwit will be fully locked in.So,there was a golden chance of buying bitcoin at$1850 before august 1 and i don"t think that such situation would come once again.So,it would be better to buy otherwise,you would have to miss the train.

Usually when whale makes a dump the price goes down but it seems not this time. If you're hoping for a big dip, it is nearly impossible atm. Look at those recently drop, it didn't even reach -$500 and the price will goes up again. You only wanted to have a dip because you want to buy at a cheap price, or you can't really afford the price atm or it is too expensive for you to buy at this time.

I don't think Bitcoin will go down to more drop, let alone get down drastically, chances are very small i guess. Bitcoin looks consistently leading to a rise over time, already seen on the price movement. If we want to buy i don't think we should expect the bitcoin price to going more down, with the price movement there maybe be a slight decline moment its moving.. well use the moment of the decline to buy.

Let me drag your attention to something in addition with Japan and Korea what the US agency IRS is planning will be much bigger than the Japanese acceptance. The IRS wants to collect tax from the bitcoin transactions more or less 50% of the BTC transactions could be traced, this is what they claim of.
Before they apply taxes on BTC transaction the US must be declaring Bitcoin leagal  ;)

Bitcoin may not drop below $3,000 again I have seen $3,000 as a history. Many people wish bitcoin to drop but bitcoin itself doesn't want to drop I believe the wish of bitcoin itself is to go as high as $10000 before the end of the year. I have see many traders speculating here that bitcoin will get drop after November hardfork issue but you should be reminded of what happened August 1? The foundation of bitcoin core is strong and no matter what happens for now bitcoin will continue rising.

With SegWit now in the background the general consensus would remain positive, IMO we won't see a significant drop for now until the next few weeks.

There are always stages of a bubble. Currently we are nearing the top or already at the top, once people realize that this sort of price level is not sustainable in the long run they will start panic selling, and that drives price down.

As long as you don't panic alongside them you should be able to make some nice profits. Usually the sell off is too excessive which leads to the price bottoming out before springing back up again.

I do not expect the bitcoin price to fall so far, because I believe it will hurt many parties, especially for those who have held their bitcoins for a long time. Well, maybe it would be fine if they had a chance to get the bitcoin they had, but if not, it would be a big loss.

Markets don't remain high because people don't want them to drop, they remain high when people are prepared to keep buying at the high price.

Well said about what is really stopping bitcoin in reaching the $5000 mark value when that 4 above Fear would simply occur another panic selling might happen with the scared users of bitcoin I really wish there would not occur another hardfork because I would force my bitcoin to exchange in another Altcoin, or put it in another private key that I have, well it is really frustrating to simply change your hold bitcoin into another Alts, or sell it for FIAT money.


There is no real stability with the price of bitcoin, but we are still saying that term because the price is really high and even if the price would drop it is not that much and always move up still, we can really see that the price right now reach $4300 as of now and it is just fluctuating a small portion that is why some think that bitcoin is stable now but the actual reality is the price is still fluctuating and can still move on a very unpredictable way.

Actually ae dont know what will exact happen in the next hard fork but whatis the result is good to us. Because if bitcoin price decrease we have a chance to buy more bitcoin and wait the price to increase again to gain profit . And if the price of bitcoin increase they can make a lot of profit if that happen. But as of now the price of bitcoin continue to increase and thats the good news for us.

You know what op, i get where you are heading. Sure it's nice to be able to get bitcoins at a ver very low price, many people dreams of being able to do that., but the thing is, it wouldn't be good if bitcoins get drops like 40-80% so fast  rise rather slow don't you think?

So it is better if you become more positive. It isn't too late to go and buy bitcoins yet. We are still so far from the peak price. Every satoshi counts. As bitcoins increase in price, satoshis will be used more on transactions so don't feel so bothered of the increasing price. Just continue to earn and hold bitcoins and satoshis. Because you'll never know.

Well do you think that a 40-80 % quick increase is better? You are saying the other way around.

 I don't understand why people are thinking $3000 is not possible now. I am myself too optimistic about Bitcoin's future at present. But what OP has mentioned is only 30% dip which is quite common in Bitcoin market even if it stays for short period. We saw one recently in July as well. Bitcoin is highly volatile asset and such fluctuations are inevitable. There might be some sudden negative news awaiting which can very easily drop the price by 30%. But all what that drop will do is open a buying opportunity as no matter what price will again rebound if that happens.

Whatever happens in coming days we should not get worried and even if price falls then we should consider it as an buying opportunity as in long term price will bounce back and if you are a long term holder then you should not be worried about short term fluctuations as it will be always an part and parcel of bitcoin economy but I have feeling that price will continue to rise here after.

I was also hoping for bitcoin to drop or let's say discounted days so I could buy bitcoin. It is somehow a good point on my part but I just realize that whenever I buy bitcoin, it maybe today or when it dump, I would still have profit from it. Because, bitcoin will increase its price even more in the following months of year. Take every opportunity to earn and trust that bitcoin has a lot to offer.

Why would you say something negative bitcoin was down from so many months now that it has rised you all are sad and not buying it early. Now that you've said it, I wouldn't want an increase as much as that to be too fast. But I still think that bitcoin is great as it is now, i still wouldn't want btc to drop so low and rise too high so fast that can make it even harder to get than today.

The fact is that with the plug on August 1, the price generally went to the top and I will not be on users. Apparently no one was afraid and did not start selling crypto currency. But what will happen the second time, it is very difficult to predict. Forecasts are many, but the obvious fork and the bifurcation of Bitcoin may not be good. Although it will be a very good chance to buy Bitcoin at a cheap price.

The fact prediction from professional are not 100%  that the price can be fall or increased its unknown we do not know when the price will increase more or the price will crash it will be still depends in the trends and the demand..
For now as i can see the price of bitcoin looks pin in $4300 value that i think this is a longest time that the price stay in the same level.. so i think there is possibility that the price of bitcoin can be increase more and less possibility that the price can be drop a bit..

With the price of Bitcoin at now, we cannot predict the next trend of it because still have many reason make the price of Bitcoin up or down.
So, I will choose wait Bitcoin for keep safe my money, transfer my Bitcoin or try trade earn profit just make me feeling confused.

As far as I know, I quick increase is not healthy for Bitcoin itself. It might result to a big drop as well. The higher Bitcoin goes, the harder the impact when it fell down. OP seems to be disappointed about getting on board too late. But I feel him/her. I also want Bitcoin to go down so that I can get on board on the next hype. ;D

Answer to off topic: When you are posting a comment/reply, scroll down and you will see the previous posts. Take a look at the upper right corner of every previous post, you will see the "Insert Quote" hyperlink.

There are some possibilities for minor corrections from this stage but you can see a quick bounce back also. If you do not want to miss out then buying for some percentage right now will be helping you to secure when bitcoin may hit $5000 levels without any corrections. Otherwise putting buying order around $4000 or $3950 may help you to catch some possible lower prices.

Even buying right now for $4300 and later on for ~5000 can still be very profitable. Mining train has passed but the investing train is still taking off so it's still not late to invest larger sum of money.

The price of btc is meant to rise and that's what anybody intending to buy should be conscious about. We have seen price risen as high as close to $4500 but now $4300 which means it has drop for someone to take advantage of but thinking that it will fall to the $2000 before buying might mean waiting till forever to see that happen. Its not impossible but its difficult.

I do feel you brother, I do want to buy also. And you were right about this price of bitcoin holding me back also and make me doubts if I do have the capacity to buy. I am still hoping the the price be down for one day only and I'll buy after that day the price will go up again. Just hoping.

I can not see it dropping anytime soon.
This is the so called "Golden age" for bitcoin.
With the splitting of the blockchain happening already and segwit being activated about three days ago and it has not dropped in price and is instead increasing which is far from what everybody thought would of happened to it once the former happened at the beginning of the month.

Price can go either higher or lower in coming days but in long run it will always be higher so if you have spare money then you can buy it now without waiting for the price drop as there is also an chance that price may not fall and it will go even higher in coming days then you will have to wait longer to buy bitcoins.

Even if that is your wish that does not mean that is going to become a reality, what if that never happens what are you going to do, bitcoin is not going to wait for you or for anyone, if you want to buy bitcoin do it now and stop thinking too much or next time you will have to pay an even higher price.
