Title: Looking for the best ICO...
Post by: neowne on August 31, 2017, 11:40:56 AM
hello together,

i am very new into trading, and I made a few big mistakes and lost mostly everything  :(

So now I decided the to spend the last $500 dollars that I have in an innovative ICO, in the hope that I get at least a part of my losses back.

My question is, is there any experienced trader that can recommend me a good ICO?

Right now I look at:

- presearch
- monetha
- substratum

What do you think? I would be very thankful for some help!

I am not good to recommend you any ICO but I have something else to recommend.
What about stopping to lose your money? It looks you already lost a lot and you are still looking to lose more. And you even ask which ICO can help you to lose more.
There are a lot of iCOs that are just garbage in my opinion. Why not investing in an established coin in which you have faith to see it growing?

It looks like you've lost a lot. It's a good idea to invest in ICO because it's really worth your money. But think of it very difficult to find it and if it is rare. Because everyone is purely a scam and nothing sober. It's better to be in Trading to invest. You lose even a little bit and have the chance to get it back.
Because of this you will not be defeated. And it can be triple or 1000x if you are diligent and patient.

I know $500 isn't much, but why not just buy some BTC and hold them. At the price they are right now, you won't get much, but consider it a long run investment. If BTC prices keeps rising, you might still get a lot from those $500. I think it's a much more safer path than going after an ICO. It's just so hard to get the right one, that you might just end up losing those last $500.

ICO is both very risky and profitable opportunity but nobody can give you exact suggestion on which ICO is best to invest into. You can spread that 500$ in multiple projects like atleast 5 potential ICOs. Atleast $100 in each one, 10x or even 20x on ICO price is possible for the one that will have real life use cases after the launch of the project.

Monetha crowdsale is already closed because they reached to hardcap within a few minutes. So pity that many people couldnt even manage to join.
Maybe you can check rivetz as well it is also one of the good ones  ;)

There are many ico project out there that has outperform there expectation. Just dating site (jds) projected to riase $200,000 in the pre-sale but currently they have raise over $300,000 and I invested in this project too and I am expecting to make over 10*. Social networks is another good project and this ico has raised over $5,000,000. I think this also a good project that you should invest now.

I agree with most of the points mentioned but still I think it is definitely possible to name some great upcoming Ico´s:

a.) Polkadot (tradable in 2019)
b.) Cindicator
c.) Truebit
d.) EOS
e.) Kyber Network

Furthermore I would like to share some part of my list of "interesting persons":

a.) Joseph Poon
b.) Linda Xie
c.) Vitalik Buterin
d.) Gav Would
e.) Naval Ravikant
f.) Fred Ehrsam
g.) Brian Armstrong

Follow these persons, read articles, listen to podcasts... and maybe you find a great project. :)

All the best

I don't know much about this UTRUST but I also think trueflip will be pumped hard really soon. OPUS also looks great technical wise.

KMD (komodo) can also be profitable if you can get some at current price of around 1.5$ (trading on bittrex). Price can reach upto $5 easily in next few months.

I highly recommend you to go back to trading. Investing in an ICO is way more risky and the return will have to wait for a long while just the same as in holding. Go invest your $500 in like 2 to 3 altcoins and then hodl tight. And do not be carried away by your emotions. Buy low sell high. Do not forget that. Do not sell when your alts are losing. Just wait for them to bounce back. They will for sure.

It's always good to invest into ICO as long as it is legit and promising ICO. There are many ICO launched everyday and it gets harder to which to trust and then invest money in. For now I'm looking after kickico, social coin and eotcoin. These are on my op list. There is still chance for social campaigns investment as they have entered into last week of the ICO phase and you can still profit them as it's being successful since the first day. Kickico has started day before yesterday so you can still enter into it for bigger profits. EOTCOIN is launched in the exchanger and it is based on waves platform. The ICO is been successful so you can trust them as the price may explode at anytime.

Right now if you looking the best ICO i recommended to see KICKICO in just less a week It does not take long KICKICO has collected 50,000 ETH It's ongoing. About the rate after the sale is over i don't know very difficult to predict, because some of the projects that have been completed the average value is under ICO need a long time to have good value. Risk must be borne if you want to participate in ICO.

You probably could not buy monetha tokens in crowdsale :) but there is one more good ico ahead Aventus. Look over its website and twitter account, its crowdsale can be end in minutes like monetha.

I would suggest splitting it in half or five ways and invest in multiple ones so you have a better chance of making some profit.

Even if the profit will be small you said you had lost everything so maybe it's time to be a bit cautious as you work your way back up.

Hi Bro ,sorry to hear about your losses. If you can wait till October than I think best upcoming ICO is COMSA.
From Japan Tech Buro, developers of NEM/XEM COMSA will bring smartcontracts and new ICOs to Japan

Its like Ethereum of Japan.

Please visit referal link in  if you heard about COMSA from me first time, so I can get referal bonuses and buy some sweets  :P

https://tokensale.comsa.io/?ref_id=4dc1439c08b1b114e64faec47ea0aecf (https://tokensale.comsa.io/?ref_id=4dc1439c08b1b114e64faec47ea0aecf)

Also I recommend to you to buy some more NEM/XEM because as I understand upcoming ICO COMSA will come aproximately together with NEM/XEM major update called Catapult. Catapult will pump the price of NEM very high. I think it will surpas Litecoin in marketcap and will be near Ripple.

TRADE SAVE and Good luck.

Damn bruh!!? Do not forget what the people here always say!which is Only invest money that you can afford to lose!
That is basic knowledge man! While i agree that those coins you mentioned have some potential, but it doesn't outweigh the risks. Because that is what's left of you better use it for your needs and invest when you get the an extra budget. Dont be stupid. Go back to reality.

I suggest you just keep your money inside your pocket for now. The risk is not worth it. Even when you say that the coin has potential, still, nothing is sure in the world of crypto. And as what you have said, it is all that you have left. Now, if you happen to lose that money, do you still have any source of income? Are you already well experienced to be sure you won't lose money? I know we all have to jump so we can fly. But when faced with this reality, we have to think twice as hard.

To find the best ICO, the way is to do your own independent study. Study the whitepaper, the background of the team to see if they are capable to fulfill their goals, their token purchase agreement and then decide if to invest.

We can never know the best guys. As you said, we have to make our own research and understand the best ones, at least the ones that provides a real product for real life usage.

I found some, peerguess and taas. Peerguess will probably be the dominating ticker application of cryptocurrency world in the futre.

Taas will be also the leader of crypto investments. Finding the real ones is hard though.

I know ICO's is good and sometimes you get 400% revenues when you invest into one but the problem is that is mostly garbage and will just turn out to be a pump in dump. If im going to recommend you something that would ne sebeum it is an innovative and decentralized coin that has physical projects in argetina the founder of it is a company that owns a banks and lots of projects in many different countries.

I am not good on recommending ICO's but i can give you advices. First, do your own research about the ICO. Read some articles and blogs about them. You can also see some post here pertaining a specific ICO. I tried CENTRA and KICKICO and i can say they are very good.

Best ICO is the ICO that has clear cut mission in a particular niche of an industry or other sector of the Economy. Most time they already have a working system or software, they are only looking for fund to carry out specific project All of the aforementioned point of mine is found in Spectre ICO. They already have a working model. They have one singlular mission which is brokerlessFinancial and derivatives trading platform. They are making broker less platform for trading. It is certainly a disruption idea in that space but it will benefit all the stake holders immensely . spectre is worth looking into.

I would focus on doing your own research. Like any investment, knowing what you are investing into rather than just going on the hype of the market will always steer you in the right direction.

Personally I look for:-

- Good solid team - Great developers, but also a strong big team and experienced ICO's. Does not matter how good the concept is, if the team isn't great the project will fail.

- Whitepaper - Read over the whitepaper, this paper shows the process, how the coin will work and what they are aiming to do. If this is poor, it is a bad decision to invest in them.

- Strong social media channels - This is how they communicate with potential investors, if this is poor, or lacks communication this is turn off for me.

- Does it make sense? - This is one that a lot of people look over, do they need an altcoin? or are they just doing this to be able to create an ICO? Ask questions and challenge them.

Once these are in place, i would get involved with a bounty campaign. This way you can learn more and spread the idea of the altcoin.

One that i am going to invest in is Crowdholding. Their ICO starts on the 1st of November and they meet all my criteria.

I don't think you will get an honest straight answer to this kind of question. You have to do your research very thoroughly and folllow the actuality of the project(s) that you find interest in.
Here are some criterias for a good ICO that i saw in an other similar thread :
1. A clearly defined team which is backed by known advisors and people associated with crypto and related things.
2. A goal which is practical and not too exaggerated and has potential source of economic growth in future as well. The idea shaping it must be new and out of the box though in most cases this is may not happen. Transparency between the project development and the investors is something that is lacking in ICOs these days.
3. Working on a field where other projects could not develop or make a mark on and has potential ability to develop it further.
4. A token that can meet these demands and would be profitable to the investors when traded on exchanges.
5. A responsive support team.

We're a good long term investment!! https://aronline.io/
We're going to launch with 3 exchanges and a co-marketing deal with a major crypto converter to provide in-app local currency purchasing for ARX tokens.

Assistive Reality; Augmented Reality applications for consumer and enterprise
Please donate if you think openAI + Augmented Reality has a future:
https://aronline.io (https://aronline.io)

In general for ICOs I give this advice:
It's safe to participate if, and only if:
- All team members publicly identify
- Whitepaper is legible, easy to read, and not using too many marketing terms
- Has an actual company formed around it (otherwise you're giving money to a loose group of individuals)
- Product has a roadmap showing some kind of pending release or progress milestone, otherwise they may be dipping for funding just since ICOs came out instead of actually requiring it now

good luck sorting them out! we're all of the above and genuine and very high-aiming, if you want to support us https://aronline.io (https://aronline.io)

Why not go back to btc and invest for a long term? If you lost a lot in trading then maybe it's not for you. Or maybe you're not yet ready to trade and that you still need more knowledge. It's not easy and trading is a serious matter. You have to have the knowledge first and a good strategy for you to be able to success in trading.

i've seen lots of projects about debit cards or credit cards using the blockchain system, and now a new ico has a project similar to some ico ago that is a debit card project, many people are interested because centra is promoted by celebrities, but that does not mean anything if ico is not bringing new innovation right ? so can you tell me the new innovation of centra debit card centra from another ico that have similiar project ?

I would use this forum to look for the best ICO's it is the least biased place, where you can ask questions to everyone on the team.

Currently there is too much advertising on other sites and these so called "ICO rating" websites.

Currently I am looking at Crowdholding, their ICO launches on the 1st of next month.

My bet are Swarm.Fund, Cobinhood, BrickBlock, QVolta. They all have strong teams and great ideas. CobinHood is now live.

hello together,

i am very new into trading, and I made a few big mistakes and lost mostly everything  :(

I think latoken is a very good upcoming ICO. Electroneum is also a unique project which has a really solid team. Both the projects can offer you very high profits in the long run.
Xauram gamma is also a promising project and is worth investing.

Oh. Also in the Altcoin Announcements there is an interesting project of the game in augmented reality where it is necessary to catch coins and earn on it. They have a good community. But I don't remember it's name.

Tap Coin is pretty under the radar but has been reported on by a few big names. Their sale just opened yesterday and I got my tokens right away, probably the smoothest contribution I have made to date.

Everyone has different choices according to their opinion, if I personally choose swarm, probably because of the number of ico I also rather confused to choose which ico is best, if you have free time I suggest to read ICO white paper and decide which one you think is best.

I would not recommend that you should buy into ICO at this instance. Most of the recently completed ICO tokens are not doing so great after hitting exchanges. Instead why not try to find and invest in some recently completed ICO that is below ICO price at the moment and the project and team are genuine? Blackmooncrypto is one such project I can recommend you.

Swarm Fund is lying. They say that you need large amounts of money to buy real estate and your money is tied down for an indefinite amount of time. This is false. You can buy one share of a REIT, and there are thousands of REITs to choose from, and you can sell it one minute later.  If they start off their pitch with a lie, what else are they lying about?

There is another flaw with Swarm, which is similar to the flaw with CombiCoin. You will have to trust that the coin is backed up LEGALLY by the land title of the real estate. Who is the owner of the real estate? John Doe? Who is to say John Doe will uphold any agreement that the real estate, that has his name in the municipal records as the owner, will be ascribed to the coin holders? Is there a legal contract that you take to a court to uphold the agreement?

Take many of the recommendations on Bitcointalk with a grain of salt. Many of them are pump and dumpers.

Out of what you listed, Monetha is quite okay. Presearch is good too, if they succeed it's gonna be big, but to be honest, we already have google and people need more reasons to change their search habbits than just "decetralizing" their personal data. Eventually no one cares about their personal data, people are already used giving it aways, so presearch IMO should be excluded from investing

Right now, i am looking into the following ICO that has potential to grow. Upcoming ico i will be considering to contribute are request, ripio, airswap and maybe aion. I have left out storm i realise that the presale gave huge bonus to early contributors. Just like blockmason for example, the 100% can turn people off and they are easily expose to dump by early contribute where they can get off easily with huge profit while the late will have a bag full of expensive tokens.

I didn`t payed too much attention to ico`s from the beginning but the stories of other who had succes by investing in them made me want to investigate some more. After some research i focused my attention to eletroneum. I think it will be a great succes mostly because it wants to make easyer for simple users like me who lack programming knowlege to be a active participant. The project wants to launch a mining tool that will let people mine from theyr mobile phone. If you are interested just use the linkin my signature and you will have and extra 1% bonus ehwn buying tokens.

First of all remember that the chances of success are rather slim (I wrote an article about it here -> https://www.kela.io/the-coin-that-wont-make-you-rich.html (https://www.kela.io/the-coin-that-wont-make-you-rich.html))

Then... look at the idea, does it seem plausible/ interesting/ high growth potential/ etc.

And most importantly! Look at the team. The team's background. Do they keep everything public? Or do they hide? (FYI - that's one of the reasons I kept my username here and everywhere else to be my real name - I have nothing to hide) What did they work on before? Do they have experience? How invested are they in this? See if you can reach out to them and see if you can get a feel for these things in addition to checking out everything online. Granted, they may not always have time, but you never know.

Good luck!

Never heard of those ICO's, and unless you have lots of time to invest in research, throwing $500 at some "new great ICO" is likely to only lead to more losses.

Title: Re: Looking for the best ICO...

Do you own research rather asking people, because they will most likely throw you a response of an ICO that they are connected to regardless if it is good for bad.

Best thing to do is look around, find a project you like, look at the whitepaper, get in contact and check for holes.

Personally I am waiting for the Crowdholding ICO, which starts at the beginning of the next month.

Of course, I understand and agree that the chances are pretty much like with funding a 'regular' startup. I agree that the team cannot hide and must have a solid background. Without that, I would not even start reading a white paper.

But Eidoo is truly one of the best ICO of this month. Just give a go to the app and you'll see what I am talking about.. and this is just the initial stage of it (wallet and one button ICO), imagine when there will be a DEX with ATOMIC SWAPS.. and there's more coming! Furthermore, seems like it will be listed on Bitfinex soon after the token sale (matter of a few weeks).

Investing in ICO now is very risky. It is not June or July.
So investing into only one ICO will almost definitely bring you down. You need your Expected Return to be higher.

I would select at least five.

Also, consider keeping 20%-40% in BTC/ETH.

All this does not actually depend on the amount.

In my opinion, ICO's should take no more than 15% of your portfolio.
There are lots of good perspective altcoins to look at, and they re less risky than ICO's

I agree now that there are a lot of junk coins in ICO and you can not keep your money back through ICO. because now there are many new ICOs already in exchange with lower than average value. it is better to follow the established coins.

Making big mistakes is normal in the current scenario of cryptocurrency. No one can blame you because there are just too many ICOs right now. It is a tough decision even with DD because if you are looking at making money (i feel that is what you mean in your OP) in short term rather than its tech that may take time then you may need to do more than DD. I would suggest to take a look at my signature but i wouldnt suggest you to go all in. Diversify your holdings. That $500 is still a lot of money. If invested correctly with the right method perhaps you will make more money than you have lost. Try to divide that $500 into a few portfolios and try to keep $100 as it is without investing in anything because there is always some interesting will come along the way. Invest $100 in 4 different portfolios with low marketcap and high potential. Probably you can also look at SONM, Centra, Eidoo these are going to make an impact in a month or two.

Consider such a project as Estate Coin. The project Estate Coin offers a new concept of investment in real estate. Exactly Real estate has a high reliability and liquidity rating. Tokens that are realized within of the ICO campaign will give an opportunity to receive income up to 36% per annum in the crypto currency (in bitcoin or up to 270% in USD, this income can be during the period when mining equipment works). Tokens are provided with real square meters of built residential real estate. More information on the site https://estate-coin.com

I will put in 500 dollars.
As for me, what is that Flux.fund is complete nonsense, which is created so that the owners earn money and make another one of the same projects.
And if something like confideal, one can wait. These guys have some to lose. As for me it is the best background for investors.

hello together,

i am very new into trading, and I made a few big mistakes and lost mostly everything  :(

In my opinion, I think good ICOs will depend on an individual and personal preferences, a good ICO to me might be a bad one to you, someone might a recommend an ICO to you simply because they are promoting or they are an ambassador, but only to find out that the ICO is not in anyway interesting.

There a lot good ICOs going on around but its actually up to you to choose the one that suits you best. I would recommend to you some website which you can go through and they might assist in finding an ICO that is worth investing in. Do your own digging, research and read about certain projects so that you don't end up investing in scam ICOs.

I would recommend to you to visit: ICObazaar, token market, ICOlist, smith and crown, ICOcountdown

Take a look at www.modex.tech and www.alttradex.com

Both have good teams and good upside potential at an early stage.  Alttradex is a lot like Binance and that is up 10x plus since end of July/beginning of August.

I would advise Confideal, new one, but seems reliable.

It's a unique platform, which offers a full stack of tools necessary to create, maintain and fulfill contracts using any ERC-20 tokens, as well as to resolve disputes by hiring arbitrators, all in one comprehensive environment, with no existing analogs.

The other important fact is that Confideal has already released a working product, which you can try out right now!

I think monehta is very promising to be invested until the end of this year, because I'm very confident the price will return in the range of 120 $ +.
But you have to do research again, because there are still a lot of good altcoin.
In my opinion neblio is very good for now, when entering the market after ico finished, the price of neblio is in the range of 1 $, and in just over 2 months the price of neblio is 4 $ +.
I think for next year the price could reach 10 $.

With so many ICO's going on I don't know where to look either. Every day tons of ICOs start to show up. A lot of it is scam as well, you easily get swindled out of your money. Lots of promises that turn out to be empty. It has become very risky to invest in an ICO. With the way BTC is rising it might be best to solely invest in just BTC. Even the alt coins have dropped immensely during last month. Or wait out an ICO, see how it takes off and then invest in it, sure your profit will be less by then due to the token having allready taken off, but it's best to get some then end up with nothing.

Stockbet is rare because they have working software. I’m playing in their Bitcoin round. Take on my bet

https://stockbet.com/#/BullBear/round/17971

According to Coindesk, gambling and cryptocurrencies have huge potential. They call it the perfect storm.

https://www.coindesk.com/national-economics-gambling-cryptocurrency-perfect-storm/

Stockbet wants to gamify the biggest asset classes in the world

Derivatives - $630 trillion
Fixed Income - $199 trillion
Stocks - $70 trillion

If Stockbet gamifies only a tiny percent of this, it will be bigger than all of the cryptocurrencies combined.

They already let you bet on cryptocurrencies, but it’s only worth $165 billion.

Watch out for Utrust ICO, i think this project really promising, but i suggest to do your own research because a lot of scams ICO and be careful on investing on it. Though they offer really promising project for you to be more secure analyze it well. But if you are not sure enough about any ICO then buy altcoins instead, it will lessen your time analyzing the market.

I just invested in Heardbeats ICO (https://ico.heardbeats.com/signup/?ref=2dj0bf) . The pre-ICO started today. They focus a VR concert experience for people that missed out on the ticket sales. This is a huge (28 Billion dollar) market given the extreme ratio between demand and supply of concert tickets for big artists. VR could offer a solution to offer these people the next best thing. If they raise enough funds they will also develop their own platform besides integration on existing mobile and TV systems.

Just always do your own research and read white papers and websites.

You shouldn't be looking for the best ICO, you should be investing your $ into BTC. If you are looking to get rich quick in the crypto world without doing your research you are in for a major surprise as there are plenty of scammers out there these days. Thing is they might not even look like scammers, they might be past successful business men like John McAfee, but now look at him.

INDAHASH is a project based upon the idea of digital marketing and advertising. The team go the project also looks very strong. The project can show tremendous amount of growth within an year or so.

In my view ICO is both risky and profitable opportunity it's like a candle inside freezer.
You have lost enough with ICO but there is no specific assurance ICO we can recommend when we talk about profitable ICO.
500$ too loose and gain nothing is a poor workflow better to start 50$ option some bitcoin investment and see the profits..

Many ICO's are scam, I would recommend to go with established bitcoin for gaining profits.

It is difficult to select any single Ico in the middle of so many projects, some that I am following are Gladius, Gizer, Sintez and FundCru too.

I read different forums daily and i see everyone putting out there different ICO's, invest in this and that, but do they really know what they are investing in.
IMO, im a strong believer that you should know exactly what your trying to promote and invest in before you talk about it. Having said this, I would like to share with you an ICO that is currently in PRE-ICO phase.
trade.io (https://trade.io/) is an innovative new blockchain trading platform that will disrupt the financial ecosystem and democratize the markets.
They use peer-to-peer platforms to support the trading of a wide range of assets, and will be launching our own cryptocurrency, the Trade Token, which you can now acquire via PRE-ICO.
You can participate in the Bounty program here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2370663
and join the telegram group for AIRDROPS!!! Feel free to ask any of our Devs for more information regarding this revolutionary trading platform.

I am going to take part in BelugaPay. As for me, it is worth investing. Team members are well-know. The website is well-developed and full of information. Also they provide a bounty campaign. So there is an opportunity to take part in bounty and get free altcoins.
