Why bitcoin, litecoin,dash, ethereum price going down today?

Most altcoin prices (in USD) are related to the bitcoin price. So when bitcoins goes down, they go down.

Bitcoin going down is just a thing that happens every now and then. Just like the price goes up every now and then as well. There is only one thing you can do about it: get used to it. If you can't, it's hard to manage your bitcoins/altcoins/investments.

No its not same as earlier when bitcoin was down dash price was steadily increasing, today everything was going down except litecoin which shows some resistance. And now you can independently buy many altcoins directly through fiat so I don't think this is the reason.Earlier when one can buy alt through bitcoin only then your reasoning may had been right.There is something else going on.

I think because China's Internet Finance Association has issued a warning to its members on ICO . So with this bad news , price should be go down .

Not related to this. Even if it happens, I don't think it affects bitcoin or altcoins prices. Price falling was just a correction after bitcoin price rise and now it's over.

BTC go down - alts go down too. I think it's a dump before BTC will start rise to 5k and more.

This is normal, actually the decrease in altcoins such as litecoin, dash and ethereum is normal. But, in bitcoin, it's a correction wave in bitcoin price. It reached up to $5,000 yesterday. The market can't go up always. Correction waves happens in price.

The price going up 24/7 would be unhealthy, it will always correct itself after big jumps like this.

I doubt China alone is responsible for a dip in BTC value. This is a normal healthy correction. Value is actually going back up as I write this.

Tom many people was waiting to 5k usd to come, so the price dropped just before.
We take to crack the 5k resistance, that's a huge psychological limit, like 1k was and 10k will be.

Crypto currencies have the unbelievably high volatility - the daily change should worry you as for me. I recommend focusing on the monthly and annual dynamic to get the real idea about the possible future of rates.

Many altcoins dumping right now with btc. But there a lot coins that are going sideways. I think many investors wanna save their profits with selling bitcoins. So if they have some altcoins theyre going to sell them for for btc and btc for fiat. Maybe we need to shake out thoose guys, before we can go up again.

Don't worry. The cryptomarket will be recovered by Tuesday. Ethereums will hit all time high, Litecoin will hit 100$ dollar next week and BTC will go back to 5000$

Weekends are usually red, then monday comes and it's all up again. It doesn't happen every week but it happens often and can be a pattern of businesses and traders that only work during the week and want to close all positions.

Bitcoin and other altcoins can not always grow smoothly in price. One of the features of the crypto currency is its volatility. Therefore, sharp jumps in the course should be treated calmly as an inevitable process. A little equal in price and will grow further. Undoubtedly, their course is influenced by various external factors, such as statements by governments of different states and it also introduces a correction in their course.

I'm hoping all will go up again because I'm trying to make a fortune by buying altcoin at the time the price drops, I hope gets a profit at a time when prices rise

Finex got to $30 before $5,000 and then it just crashed, it looked like a huge fakeout and margin call everybody on their longs

My opinion it's just because week end, nothing else. The price going up or down no one knows the right answer, that's why as trader/ investor we must prepare our self. Every week end, most investor/ trader exchange their coins into currency and that's why the coin price go down ( my opinion ). Nothing to worry about the price fall when week end, but you have to make decision to buy or sell, that's it. Stay calm and have a nice day.

I agree with opinion that bitcoin falls other alts should ld raise. But after long up trend this is just correction and also is weekend so prices goes a little down so time to buy something.

It's hard to know the reason since almost "everything" is going down today.  I can only guess that there are groups of cryptocurrrency investors cashing out their profits to fiat which would be a reason for the drops and causing a ripple effect.  People see the main cryptos drop so it leads to panic and so forth.  Just stay calm and ride it out. 

Traders probably had orders for sales in the area of $ 5,000. After the orders for sales have worked, traders-robots began to sell.
As a result, the price dropped.

Its probably a correction, most alt prices are heavily attached to bitcoin's price and btc just lost 400$ in a couple of hours earlier today, keep your emotions tight!

Correction is overdue asf. Maybe September will be the month.

I wouldn't say volatility is a feature, more like a drawback.

If you mean volatility as in it can moon and dip pretty fast then yea, it is a feature.

This happens because of the high market interest in bitcoin and traders selling most of their altcoin, but now there has been a price correction on bitcoin because almost all altcoin is red, this is very convenient where fluctuations continue to get attention, and is the right time to increase the price back .

You have hammered the correct.  E3 of 6 Bitcoin down-trends happened after it rose more then 3X in 1 months.  5K is the automatic limit may investor set to "sell" if the coin rose to that level. 

As someone who has made over $2.8M in BTC, I can tell you - don't sweat it. Its got a LONG way to go up.  Buy the heck out of it now if you can.  Most other coins are tied to the BTC downtrend in some capacity.

Its a correction, hopefully a healthy one. We need some stabilization before climbing up again.

I agree with you. 5.000$ was probably a sell target for a lot of traders.
Just hold and in some days we will see green everywhere :)

All this coins depends on Bitcoin's price. Bitcoin gone down and took all of them together with itself. All this coins, reached it's maximum together with Bitcoin, which reached 5000$ point this night. They fell and keep falling only cause of people sell their founds on such highs. I also sold some of my founds this morning ;D

There has been an unstable amount of growth in the last couple of days so the correction seems to be pretty normal. The long term growth should be looking positive though. Try not to freak out from this short term loss.

This is normal, in fact lowering altcoins is normal. But, in bitcoin, this is a wave of correction for the price of bitcoins. There will never be a constant rise or fall.

You should get used to it :). This will happen a lot in the future.

I am always wondering why people always need reasons for drops, as if a correction of BTC needs a reason.
As I said somewhere else, nothing can go up only, all the times !

Buy the coins as many as you can. YOu will earn big profit when the coins pumped. That's natural movement in price of altcoins and BTC. dumped and pumped. That;s the way traders make profit. If the price remain stable, i know most traders will not make a lot of profit. That situation isn't an indication that BTC and Altcoins will be worthless. it is common situation. Even BTC suffered the lowest price before august 1 . It dumps to 1900 from 2500. But all traders believe that the price will recover soon.

For every market there is a simple formula you can follow and you will be able to predict the price movement way better than all the Twitter "people" with the funny charts or analysts.

Tendency = Psychology x Money

Short and simple and works everytime. You have just to figure out:
1. Psychology is for bull or bear ?
2. Is there enough money coming in ?

When the bitcoin price goes up then altcoin price will goes down immediately. Altcoin price will recover when the bitcoin price will goes down. The price will go down because of low of demand in the market. Altcoin's demand in previous weeks are so the price was affected of this changes.

It's can't go up forever. Some people decide to sell or trade and when enough people start doing it you have snowball effect. this one seems healthy correction. Don't invest if you think that price will only rise because it won't.

Wasn't that last week that China issued a warning. I'm sure there was a warning and Bitcoin still shot up.

so may you look down upon the Chinese goverment and the effect of Chinese market, one website with government background published a news that ICO suspected illegal fund-raising, it made great influence on the market, many ico projects were stopped and there even been a saying that new coins will not allowed to list on the exchange, so both the exchange, ico team and normal user were very careful now, they converted the cryptocurrency to the fiat ro reduce the risk, then the market dumped

i think you get the point, China has the most minners and trading volume, also the government is so powerful that it only need show its attitude towards the cryptocurrency, then the market will do reaction, especially an important meeting will hold in Octomber

Ethereum is always going down and up.
you cant say it .
atleast we are still secure because it don't go crash
and just staying stable . maybe tomorrow Eth will go up again.

Why are prices going down today? Because it's not a day where prices are going up (that was yesterday).

The people driving bitcoin are not the holders but the traders. Bitcoin, ethereum, dash, and wave has been making upward price movement since the beginning of last month  until bitcoin reach the pick of $4951 and from there the traders who has been driving the price has to take profit which always put the price in the correction mode.

those dumps are natural anddhappening most of the time..
i cant accept the fact that eth and some are affected by BTTC price dump..
and i just read the news bout the line crossing the ocean are cut or damage (internet line) and if this is correct i think it affect the crypto because those coins are internet base currency

Not for SYS, SYS is going for it's second pump today. Currently it's in an uptrend. So get in while you still can.

Actually in this year, China not are big man on Asia market or the world. Because this year, we have new member is Koren and this market really make us surprise with high volume everyday, even on top No.01 from earlier this year until today.
