I personally have bought quite few, usually the Ethereum based ones mostly do good. Had some disappointments though. Wasn't very successful with the wave based ones ...

very few actually as I try to stay away from shitcoins unless a dear friend has invited me to participate for a couple days or weeks. So I have bought surprisingly few coins over the years. Ive bought a huge load of Monero though.

I have 15. On top of those 15, I have participated in 4 pre-icos and 8 icos that have not gone live yet. Most of mine are eth based.

I have bought a lot of coins. Now I am still hold some btc, eth , waves, dash , dcr, iota.I put my eggs into several basket to protect my investments.

I bought quite bit but holding 5 at the moment.

Ever since the crash began, I managed to buy a few coins which I assumed that they are solid enough to make me profit when all cryptocurrencies begin to recover in the coming days. I bought some monero, litecoin, ethereum classic, waves, ark, omisego, komodo. I considered this crash as an opportunity to invest more into these cryptocurrencies. From now onwards I will be holding for a few months, I am waiting for the value to go up again and then sell. I will be buying some more monero later this week, before it goes above the $100 mark.

If we assume ERC20 tokens is only 2 and it was enough that I was disappointed in the ICO ;D But now I again decided to take a chance and buy some ETHlend. I hope I again will not be disappointed.

I have got 3 types of coins for long-term and planning to expand my portfolio with other coins also. Next aim to have 10 types of coins.  :)

I have bought about 8, am keeping 6 at the moment, apart from BTC and ethereum, the most coins I got are from ICO. Noting brilliant, mostly OK but one failed terribly. Will keep trying waiting for the good one to pull off.

Please let know what are the ICO you participated if yon do not mind.

I find it difficult to gauge the validity of the tokens that are part of the ICO. Are you going by any mindset of what  are  the things you look on the coin such as:

market cap
core team
developers
initial offering
concept and technology?

Care to know what coins you are holding sir? I bought Eth,NEM,Ripple and Dash  before but I also sold it when it reaches my target price. I am more on day trading, thats why I sold it after days or weeks as I do not hold for long term. But I know, holding for long term is more profitable than shot trading in the long run.

i have put actual money into five including bitcoin. everything else i have was airdropped on me. there's way, way too many to keep track of these days. when i check the top coins on bittrex i have only heard of half or less of them.

I have about three coins in my portfolio, and received some through an airdrop. I wouldn't want to have a large portfolio of coins as it's time consuming to research about each project.

I have two tokens which I only hold and while the others a sold it already. 60% on Omisego while the 40% is on Air token both I believe would be profitable in the future.

Not really a lot at all.  I generally don't believe most of them will be worth holding for
the long term.  And probably not even for the next year or two.  I do think the big
name ones will have some sort of value in 20 years, but all of these gimmicky coins
are doomed to failure.  ETH?  Yeah, it's worth buying.  I've seen some mainstream
media coverage of it, and I think it's got potential.  Same thing with stuff like litecoin
and others.  But I don't own any of those.  Probably should at some point...

I bought a few along the road, started with bitcoin ofcourse a couple of years back when specially these last couple of months there were more and more altcoins, the best tokens/coins I have come across are projects like TENX,NEO and QTUM, these actually have good progress or a physical product that is usable, I think NEO would be the same as Ethereum in a few years form now since it has more to offer than Ethereum the other two are just a matter of time till they break their highs.

Same here I bought a couple of Ethereum based tokens too, not really into waves because I don't see any changes from waves itself or there are no progress so I'm staying away from waves based as of the moment.

I bought couple of eth based tokens as well (but really small amount). However I've decided to just stay away from ICOs. Let's see how much I can resist the temptation. Right now just trying to be content with bounties or free airdrop tokens.

maybe just a few. Ethereum, Monero and Ripple. I really like the 3 coins, and I hope to get a lot of benefits from all three.

I don't have any plan yet to buy tokens or altcoins but I wanted to earn first so I can learn first how it works without putting my personal income. I want to earn it first before I buy so I can see the potential of it.

I can count that the tokens I've bought was only 3. ADEX, Bitcoins and Ethereum. In ADEX I thought I would profit a lot but I made a mistake. Change it to btc at low price LOL.

I have more than 20 shitcoinbags right now. But I am not all in, holding 50% of my bitcoins for some new trades. Bought some blood to early in the last time, but thats okey. I just bought more while the ultrablood :D

Been holding a single coin for years but bought a few more in the last few weeks...so far it's going well but I think I'm getting a taste for coins now. Where others see "shitcoins" I'm seeing new solutions, opportunities, development.

I haven't tried to buy coins or tokens before, because it's really hard to decide whether which is good to buy. There's a lot of altcoins there and it's really hard to speculate which is worth keeping and investing. I just earn my tokens and coins for free from signature campaigns. And so far, I've earned good money because of it.

Holding too many coins is not a good idea at all. it consumes your time more than usual and if you can decrease the number of coins you are holding, it will make everything easier to manage. Therefore, try to hold 10 coins in a time so that you will have more time to analyze things and follow the news

I haven't got any coin yet I will wait for the next crash to invest in and get some cheap coins.

Lost on SONM, profit on Monaco, well some coins not give me guarantee to get profit but ya i buy some ethereum tokens in liqui then hold it and wait price to rise

I have bought some Waves, MGO, Wings, BSD, ETH. And I have some coin which I get form Bitcointalk forum campaign. I want to hold them for a long time. Which coin I have bought I also want to hold them for a long time. Actually, I love to hold coin very much. Because you can easily make much profit from holding coins.

Only bought about 3 but I have more. There are great opportunities other than just straight buying them. A good way is through airdrops such as deeponion is currently doing. Get out there and support coin communities.

I purchased about three coins so far. I'm looking into different ones but I think adding more will be come a headache to keep track of. In time, I might buy more coins if the current price of the coins drop any further.

I have invested in some of the tokens based on ethereum platform. CIVIC is one of the most successful token I own and it has a lot of potential to grow. Ripple is another coin I own along with ethereum and Bitcoin.

I have bought some wabes, dent , aion, and eth. I think all coin are most valuable. I bought this coin and hold them, because hold is the best way to earn more money. For that reason i hold that coin so that in future i will get enough money.

for my future i invest some token .waves,aion,verify,playkey,herocoin.i decide long time hold and waiting big pump.

I have bought altcoins, invested, and participated in the ico project. some make me a lot of profits, and there are some altcoins that do not have a pretty good selling point. this is a matter of speculation and analysis that I do. sometimes, the prediction slips from my guess. and this is part of the risk that I should be prepared for.

Why would people answer you specifically when it's a matter of privacy? You shouldn't be asking this question anyway since comparing with others won't make you gain anything.

A few coin actually i have bought this few days with a huge profit with LCT i made it day trading so far so good it give a good feed back with my investment of a good profit.

I haven't bought any coins or tokens for now. I am just depending on bounty campaigns and airdrops to have coins or tokens because I don't have enough money to buy a certain coin or token. Also, I am not willing to release money to buy a coin, it is better for me to do a work to earn cryptocurrency because I don't 100% trust cryptocurrencies. For me, it is better to join bounty campaigns and airdrops because I will not lose anything so it is a win-win.

as far as I've done, every purchase or investment on altcoin, I always involve my knowledge and experience to analyze so that I believe my chosen coins can flourish. no matter in the end the prediction slips, because after all, always have a risk in every purchase. so I just want to suggest to you, there is much you can get from crypto, one thing you have to do. always looking for knowledge at all times.

Since i am just new here, I am just working for now to earn my very first token out from ICO for i am planning to buy digital currencies that is on my list soon. For now, i've been participating in signature and translation campaign and hopefully i can earn enough profit out of it to buy the coins i have on my portfolio.

I try to buy in a correction period and deliberate approach to every purchase. Constantly looking for new opportunities for investments and analyze the situation.

It's a good decision to buy or keep Ethereum as of now.

Many people who does not know about the bounty signature campaign alone investing on the token sale here. Whoever wants high amount of token sale has been buying with the ethreum and bitcoin. When I participated in some campaign. They paid some part of income in tokens. I have holded that in my MEW wallet and then for altcoins I do invest buy it on bitrex site.
Last year alone I bought 500 waves and 700 ripple from the bitrex bro, it changed big value now still holding it.

I have bought 3 coins for now, mostly Ethereum for now. I started also few bounties, so there will be some tokens in my wallet. In a near future I will invest in a 2-3 more altcoins.

Oh, let's see. I have LTC, ETH, BCC, LSK, XEM, DGB and as I remember that's all, but in my plans to wide this list with some more projects in the future. All of those coins showed colossal raise the last year and I expect this year too :D

Many and vary. In term of BTC worth, lost over 0.5 of BTC by trade and hodl altcoin.

I personally don't like to buy coins that I missed out on its ICO unless the price is below the ICO and I think it is a good value for money, I love ICO and I have participated in 5 ICOs this year and looking to add more to my position

I have bought a lot which I usually sell when the price is at ATH. I'd lost count if I have to really track them all, my guess is more than 50 tokens already.
These coins are usually listed cheap first and sold for a price, I hold some coins for so long since the time they were first seen in the market and I have even participate in the ICO like the ANS ICO which is now we call NEO.

Before buying a certain coin verify first if it is profitable coins. Yes thats what is best enter the price to buy when it decreases and wait to increase. Im not into faucet because it waste my effort  so I have bought ethereum as the best to hold so far.

Also just bought a few of coin, tough I never calculate it until now how many investment and withdrawal that I done this 3 year of trading, but the results of my trade every year quite satisfied, it's also make me want to doing a little bigger investment than yesterday.

I have invested in quite a number of different coins so far, and although I have made profits off of most of them, everytime I buy a new altcoin, I leave some of it behind because I use binance and every time I trade I leave some dust behind. Hopefully I will be able to recover those bits and pieces of coins eventually.

Phew, that is a lot of money. I do not even own 5 digit dollar sums, although my very small hundred dollar investments have now reached thousand dollar numbers.

I have bought probably around 20 tokens/alts now. I only own around 10 now, the rest I resold as I only keep coins that I want to have for years. Very tempting to buy more but I fear not being able to manage them.

Including airdrop coins (mostly auto airdrop that just enters my Waves accounts) I have maybe 20 all in all. They are all worthless now though.

I've bought a lot of coins, but I just bought a coin that I think is good with reading whitepapers, looking at travel plans and see the team that supports the coin, because if you do not read and seek information then you will get losses because the coin you buy is not profitable , so before buying coin learn and understand for what coin is made so you do not lose money.

I have bought several ETH coins and Qtum. Holding my Bitcoins and do not want to sell them or buy some for now – waiting for the stabilization of crypto market or for the growth of BTC. Plan to buy more Ripple for my business.

i brought 10k$ worth of bitcoin as of this january and im kicking to add more when bitcoin goes down so low. i have some coin that dump so high now and still want to buy more to get profit when they pump soon. some of my eth are already sold and transfer to other coin.

I bought a lot of coin because i trade alts and if i find a good entry point i will buy the coin/token. I have bought more than 30 types of coins/token but i only hold 7 of them which i will keep holding at least until next year. I haven't buy wave based one because they are not that popular and the volume on the dex itself is rather small.

I have many similarities with your words. I also have a number of coins that I have received from the Bitcoin Forum.All the tokens and coins that I have are based on Ethereum.I am always try to bye tokens and coins.Recently I have received some tokens from verify,Playkey,Aion and Bankex Tokens from the Bitcoin Forum.I think the price of these tokens will continue to grow in the future.

I think that was a very bad decision. because today the courses are much lower. you should not listen to other people. I will not buy today but will continue to watch the market

I bought many coins because iam hasbeen doing trading and i will bought the coins when oversold that has good fundamental, before buy any coins i spend times to learn about the fundamental about that coins first , so when i find the coins with strong fundamental on oversold or on uptrend i will buy it and trade it.

I originally bought about $5,000 worth, but now they are worth around $2,000  :'(.

So far I have invested in two coins. These are bitcoin and ethereum. I think they are the most widely used coins at this time. I'm planning to buy more altcoins in the future because I think there are so many altcoins out there especially the new ones that can provide me good earnings.
