I wanted to do this challange for a long time, And now with the beginning of the NBA season I will finally do it.
I will bet every day against the public opinions through the data at https://www.thespread.com/nba-basketball-public-betting-chart
The Idea behind this challange is that as we know, the bookies always wins becasue people bet on "easy" matches and in the end we see a LOT of surprises. I believe that play against the public in EVERY match will give me a profit.
I will summerize the result every couple days.
I place a bet of 0.001BTC on EVERY match
Every bet will be placed at NitrogenSports

The NBA season begins in 2 days.

Nice experiment. made this a couple of years ago already. It CAN work if you put in some more filters like minimum percentage where the public is on one side is for example 70%. So you bet on the team with 30% or less. Another filter could be where the smart money is. So try and find a game where min. 70% of the public is on one side and the odds move in favour of the 30% team. That means smart money is on the smaller side where your bet should be on.
Just my 2 cents. Anyway good luck on that one!

Thanks for the advice.  I will start for a few weeks without any filters. If it will not work I will add some like you said.

Nice approach that you are taking.

One flaw in this though might be that if the sample size is big enough, the collective will usually make the correct pick.

Good experiment this is the first time that I've seen someone that wants to bet against the crowd choice.

I know no one can predict who will win the match even the weakest team on the NBA can be won and it depends on the situation but I don't think Boston Celtics can win on Cleveland this time in my opinion since Isiah tomas which is their like superstar back in the previous year and we all know kyrie is also at the boston team but still not enough to defeat cleveland.

Cleveland won 102-99, so Boston hold the handicap of +3.5 and it a win.
Houston surprised GSW and won 122-121 and its another win for us.

Great start for your system. I am excited how it will perform after 1000 picks. Anything less than that is not enough to say having a running betting system.
You'll be betting 80% of the dogs which isnt a bad thing. Dog betting is better than fav betting in general!

I don't think i'd want to do that since you mostly would bet on underdogs and the percentage of upsets aren't that high every day. You may need to have a big capital if you're planning on betting against majority of bettors. Though if you win, you'll be smiling from ear to ear :D

Ha ha, it's a pretty good idea! If you're able to keep the stuff throughout the entire season, be really interested to see the statistics at the end. You got to think, especially if you're picking your own underdogs there's some good money to be made. Good luck with it I'll be checking in on this.

Followed the Dallas spread I got in at +8 seems like more money is pouring in on the Grizzlies side score should be close since both teams just played yesterday. Agree with the Blazers bet got the spread sitting on -2 taking the home team is the better play and Blazers beat the Clippers during the preseason.  I have the Pelicans for tonight I feel like they still have a huge chance of winning without AD.

I've been using this method but it does not give me a success, you cannot just pick blindly and just bet against the public since there are a lot of factors to consider. For example, if you are betting on a shitty team which they are not the favorites all the time you will lose your money easily and also you cannot bet against the warriors because they are good in covering the spread. I would bet against the public but I need to be choosy and not just bet on all the games on the board.

maybe better to play with this just to have some fun but not a serious gambling, playing against the public really good if you got some success with the
timing, its luck that will give you some decent earnings when pick the under dogs and happen to win in  a regular bet not in the handicapped.
