I am a newbie to BTC field.I have little bit BTC amount.I want to get some profit from trading or holding altcoins.what are the altcoins that I can buy?

You should buy undervalued altcoins for example ones below $5-10M to triple your money. But do not play with scam coins

A number of altcoin are at very low price.  Now a day approx all altcoins are at buy level.  But only few one are good for investment. XVG, XRP, NEO, DASH, ETH, WAVES, STRATIS are very good coins for long term investment.

How about Kyber and ACT?

I think now it's a bad idea to buy alts. Near to 16 November will be the best time to buy on the deep.

Almost every coin is profitable when your entry and timing is good. Otherwise, every coin is a losing trade. When you're here to make money without learning or any idea what you're doing, you're usually heading for a loss. I'd suggest to learn and educate yourself first and you might profit in the process.

Now centra and waves two coins are undervalued because of hardfork soon it will rise after hardfork because of good working product and great team. Centra is already distributed and operating with multi cryptocurrency and crypto assets card and wallet. Waves supporting smartcontracts creation in low cost and less time and ability trade tokens inside platform.

There are lots of profitable altcoin in the crypto market but it will depend on the amount of your capital, just choose coin that fits for your capital, make a research and make your self discover study which coin is the best for you also it should need to do that every time you want to trade.

Yes i do agree being a huge fan of altcoin in this year i have seen Centra has done most successful ICO and they delivered the working product and team quite active in all the social forums . I think it is the only Crypto card or wallet support all crypto currency including ERC20 tokens like crypto assets really great concept . After november 16 fork Centra will hit strong pump.

I also think that it isn't very good time to buy altcoins right now. Markets have changed a lot.
Anyways, there are some undervalued coins like sonm, golem, edgeless.
There are some pos coins like waves.
There are some fund coins like taas, ddf.

These are pretty much profitable mate.

It all depends on the timing mate. There is no single altcoin that is going to make you profit guaranteed. It simply just does not work like that. If you want to make a profit consistently, then you need to pick the right timing.

Right now, STEEM, WAVES, QTUM and OMG are good buys in my opinion. They may see prices going up soon.

Also, another thing is, never invest in shit coins that have no dev involvement and is all hype.

If you have low funds you have two option. One that requires a lot of time invested is trading. This means you buy altcoins at a low price and sell them for profit at a bigger pricer. But you need to read a lot of news and be in touch with the market almost permantly. Also you need to do a lot of transasctions and study the technique of trading.
Youre second option is to invest in ICO. This means you have to research and decide on 2-3 ICOs you believe in and buy some tokens. The advantage is that you can get them at a cheap price, you may get a bonus at buying and you can gain some tokens from doing refferals campains.
The key is tot make a good research before you invest youre money and the results wish surreley come. Best of luck!

This dependa in your trading skills and righ time analysis,because any altcoin are all profitable.You just need to monitor it from time to time for you to know when is the right time to trade.Small amount is still a profit so dont think high profit because all big starts with small.

I'm new to the space as well.  It seems like most of the advice is avoid scam coins and time the market correctly.  I agree with what has been said and think the best way to become profitable is through study and research.  Make a list of the coins you think are worth exploring (I have been reading through the various threads) and then keep detailed notes about why people like them (I use a google doc).  I then go back and try to substantiate what they are saying.  It seems like there is a lot of hype around some crypto.  The other side is on the timing.  You can dollar cost average your way into something, or have money on the sidelines and wait for a good entry point.  Lots of alt coins are down at the moment it seems because of the fork.  From everything I've read, many people believe that alts will dump even further the closer to the fork.  Just my $0.02.

Yeah entry point is important but what is more important is when your exit point is. The individual coin that you pick is probably only around 30% of the equation for success and profit and the rest of the 70% is going to be patience and timing.

I would recommend ZCash, ETH and LTC as a starting point. They're all quite big coins that are currently experiencing drops in price. When you trade these coins you get a lot more liquidity than you would with smaller riskier coins.

How about WAVES? WAVES can get stronger after the forks of Bitcoin , i think traders will go back at WAVES after these forks. I am having doubs on WAVES now but i still want to invest on it, it's just bloody nowadays, I know that there are reasons but after BTG Fork it didn't even have an uptrend movement.

There's a lot of altcoin in crypto market most of all are profitable but it depends upon how to manage them and get timing of buy and sell because of their moving price value in the market, before you trade at them try to research what is the status of altcoin you buy. But all altcoins are profitable when it comes long term holding. When the price value is low just buy and becomes high price just hold.

Since you are a newbie, you should do a lot of research on which coins are best to invest. Or you can go to coinmarketcap.com and check the top 20 coins listed there and do a research on each one of them to see which one you are comfortable in trading or which ones you trust in trading your money with.

buy monetha it has reached its bottom of 5 cents and bounced back to 8 cents. after the fork it will get back to its ico price 20 cents.

One token that I think wil be good for a newbie is TAAS, this is going to be for a long term holder as you will receive dividends every quarter. Also you can trade your tokens every time distribution is coming, this is when the price spikes high and its a good opportunity to trade.

As segwit2x draws closer, you should do research and learn more about the different Altcoins running now.
Mid month will be a good time to buy, everything will be cheap.
I would recommend for starters Ethereum or Litecoin, and i would agree with other members that when you trade these coins you will get more liquidity than other smaller coins.

You should buy them before the Bitcoin fork price of alt coins might go up after the fork check the price of a coin you want to buy and if its down right now its a good time to invest, I hold XRP/WAVES/SC/DGB/NEM/XMR/POS and a few more do your own research before you invest into it.

I will go with NEO, QTUM, Syscoin and Bitshares as the most undervalued coins. Doge also could be very good option to get huge profits.

If you don't know nothing about coins, I suggest you to only choose the "hold" strategy. Choose a big coin, and keep it many years.
Don't try to daytrade with altcoins if you don't know what you are doing. Just an advice before you loose all your money on a shitcoin.

Choose and keep BTC for the beggining, then learn, do some research, and try altcoins when you know what you are doing.

It's nice that you ask for guidance. But i hope what you get from here will be considered as only options. Because you really have to research about every coin you think of investing on. So that you won't have to regret if you lose your capital. bitcore and rain are very profitable they have good airdrop/pos value, with rain you can stake 10% every month which is a very big reward for a pos coin imho, it's very cheap now, they dumped the value because of bitcoin segwith2x coming

Any currency from the top 10 coinmarket is good for long-term investments. I think a portfolio of these currencies per year will give at least 50% of the profit.

Before making a decision to choos altcoins to invest, you should do some research first. one of them by looking at some indicators, including: look at the lowest and highest prices in the last 24 hours, see the volume amount on the exchanger.

The key is finding projects with good teams and sound ideas, development, etc. Nothing is guaranteed but a great idea does not make a great project, great people do.

And how to search for these great people? They either already work, or are still unknown.

My advise to you is buy an altcoin that has value below 0.000005BTC Because there is an instances that that your capital can multiply by 5 or more and sometimes if you are luck x 1000%. Then make sure the bitcoin market of the coin is below 0.5BTC daily. And the coins is not shitcoins. :)

If you have a more money then you can buy altcoin and make money with crypto trading. Altcoin is a very profitable if you hold long time. Now it is a best time to buy altcoin because altcoin price now down , if you buy now and hold some time you can make a better money from altcoin. so don't late buy waves, SWP, ETH and bitcoin.

I am totally watching the statistics of altcoin for a while i have noticed that some of the altcoin will give huge return in very short period of time like three months or so,so we have to do lot of research about the trending coin and it is better to invest on that coin.

You are saying that buy coins at low price and sell it when reach high price but some of the altcoins will lose their price value and the price will will get lower and lower if you continue to hold at that time and your investment will hide so we have to make some decision to save our investment so we have to act quickly at the time of price fall.

It's good that you asked about it now, not in the summer.) I would advise you to pay attention to undervalued strong projects like Factom (FCT), Aragon (ANT), Status (SNT), Wings (WINGS). And also would advise to refuse participation in questionable ICO.

Look at altcoins which are mid caps instead of large cap coins. THe large caps can do a 2 or 3x but mid caps and small cap coins are capable of doing 5x or even 10x if you choose your alts wisely. Good luck.

I totally agree with you many coin came down from their highs like Ether,Neo,Dash etc and its available at bottom price ,if you invest in good alt coins like these you will get much much better return on your investment in next 1-2 years.And I thinks this the time most alt coin trading in a range and be range bound for some time, as they start to go up there will be huge spike in good alt coin.

Depends on the altcoin. Some are already rising like REQ. But the ones that are still down in the dumpster are ones you should definitely be looking at.

Altcoin is not one of the coin bitcoin, there are many altcoins in the market and all those coins are not same bitcoins.

A lot of master node coins are profitable as they paying you for running a master node. Just need to be careful not to jump on a scam.

Seems like a lot of coins are abusing the latest hype that is "master nodes"... Don't get fooled.


Meanwhile MonaCo is still being held down apparently despite already having the VISA deal and an order of 500k metal VISA cards.
Once the first cards start being shipped it will probably jump back to $20 in a flash.

Wanchain is a fork of the ethereum, look carefully at the first commit. On the basis of the ethereum it is impossible to create interchain, so this is a Chinese scam. And look at the team, there are no developers with experience for a project of this magnitude. I'm sorry if someone bought it.

Zencash and Neo is a profitable altcoin i like a lot

It is hard to tell which altcoins will be profitable in next years, but I would vote for old - well-known coins like ETH, Monero, Zcash. I have these coins in my portfolio and will buy more now when they are low. I will keep holding them for a longer time. I suggest that you should do your own research and decide based on that what are the best altcoins to invest.

You can easily double your investment with Alts in the top 20 position which are around $1 and under. I also like to go down the list (into the hundreds) to find low cap ALTs connected to a good project that have not yet been recognized by the masses. It takes a bit of work but it pays off drastically in the end. You just need to ensure the project is one that rectifies an issue, devs are actively providing updates via their various social media platforms and keeping to any timelines they set to complete tasks that will improve the project and make it easier to be adopted by the masses. There are lots of opportunities in the crypto space, being in the right place at the right has its advantages.

Right now the instead of thinking about any altcoins think about bitcoins because its price is getting increased day by dya and I guess it wiwll reach 10k$ so invest in it. well it depends whether someone wants long term profit or short term profit. Right now BCH is the most profitable coin instantly but most of us went in long term process, so xrp and neo are looking good and with decent chance to rise.

There's alot of them out there. But there's this one altcoin that I've been keeping an eye on. Have you heard about DeepOnion? for me the price of it is still undervalued because of the features it gives and the over all comunity is growing. You can choose good altcoins below $1. It means you get more coins with small investment. It will not take long time for a good altcoin to rise in prices. Hello friends, I think buying acotton is a dangerous thing. If you want to get huge profits, you must buy those currencies with very low value and wait for them to rise, but they are unstable because they are just starting out. So very dangerous. Investing in them requires caution.

Read the whitepaper. Identify the technical advantages and risks of this coin.

Understand the economic model. Not just the coin supply and inflation, but what will motivate adoption in the near, medium and long-term, what mechanisms provide price stability or instability, how security and development is rewarded.

Get to know not just the development team, but how new people are drawn into the team. Is there any vetting process for skill or loyalty to the roadmap? Are they volunteers or paid? By a central foundation or diverse companies or what? That will be key to the long-term survival of the coin.

I have been here few months ago and can say profitble altcoins to be buy and sell at the moment were have high volume of buyers and sellers. You can play along this moment. Set your price, in this game someone will win amd someone will loss. Make sure to have enough skill in day trading, know some tecniques use as the basis when the right time. Buy altcoin in top 200 - 100, look info of it. It can make big profit for you or you can buy and hold altcoin on top 30. But profit will be less. I suggest XLM, ZRX and ICX

I am not into trading but i don’t think it is ideal to do trading with altcoins. Yes it may be cheaper compared to bitcoin but altcoin prices are more unpredictable than bitcoin. So i suggest that if you really interested to buy altcoin just to it for long term investment but not to trade and ethereum would be the best choice.
