I think bitcoin can reach $ 20000 by the end of this year, we can see today bitcoin prices make us all surprised with very high rise, yesterday I woke up and saw bitcoin price $ 12000 and today I see bitcoin price has reached $ 15000 what the hell with this price.

20K before the end of the year seems pretty fast to me.
But we also reached 10k quite "easily" this year.

I agree. 20K is achievable but I do not see it happening this year 2017. Probably earlier next year. So many FUD and forks coming so there is no assurance yet that btc will continue to rise this year but sure it will. We just dont know when.

I can sense its January 1st week.  Just take a look how btc pumps 500usd to 1000usd price increase everyday. BTC can achieve that in no time.

By the end of this year, bitcoin has risen very quickly, in my opinion, bitcoin in February will touch a price high enough to approach the price of $20,000  or it could also exceed it.

I really wouldnt be shocked if it hit $25000 by the end of the year.

In the end of this year it's really unpredictable because as we see the current price it isn't at stable yet, and it may rise or fall rapidly at the moment. Maybe we can appreciate that price to hit at $20000 next year and at the start of 2018 that will be the most possible scenario. We can view that price to be the most profitable price of bitcoin and that would be expected that many holders will sell when that price will become a reality.

Two weeks ago every one was talking about the probability of reaching 10000 dollar. Now there are more than 20 days left till the end of the year. Now we are talking about reaching 20000 dollar. I won't be surprised if bitcoin price reaches 20000 dollar before january. Every thing is possible.

If this tremendous uptrend continues, I have no doubt that this year we could reach that unsuspected mark. I remember that when the year started with a price around $1,000, many had some pessimism due to the approaching hardforks, but now everything is optimism and I do not think even the most involved bitcoiners imagined such an incredible scenario at this time of year.

With the trend going on, i can see that bitcoin will reach 20000 USD in no time by february next year, i see that corrections are now happening in short periods of time, unlike before that we see corrections going on for days, now it had breached 14000 usd, and we see that altcoins are greatly being affected by the rise of bitcoin, and i can see that there are two markets set in to play as well the east and western markets, both are greatly investing bitcoins and some altcoins, there is no doubt that the volume that we'll see in trading on cryptocurrencies will be more higher in the coming months, thus making bitcoin's value even greater.

$20k is definitely starting to seem possible this month!

Though it would seem a bit unhealthy to reach it that quickly. I'd rather see a correction back to $12k soon and then a steady and slower rise, hitting $20k in January, with another dip following that, and $25k by end of the winter. But hell with things going like they are we'll probably be at $40k by end of winter haha.

If the pump up happen to bitcoin will not stop so we have a chance to reach $20000 before the end of this year as of now the price of bitcoin are $14640 coinmarketcap detailed this is so huge amount but many speculation I read that this coming december there will be a fork happen that will affect to bitcoin price.

Yes definitely dude, the price of bitcoin now are increasing day by day and there is no sign that the price will drop again, that's good for those who owns a lot of bitcoin.
I think it will reach that amount by late February to first week of April.

It will reach $20000 somewhere next week. At the end of this year it will most likely be closer to $25000 if not more.

I also voted by the end of 2017 in the poll, and I have no doubt the pump will continue up higher than $20k but I'm not sure yet sure if it will reach $25k. The CME is the big wildcard here it could either bring bitcoin to a trillion dollar market cap very fast or it could crash it hard.

yeah price of bitcoin is indeed increasing day by day and you wont see any signs of it that it will drop or increase more because bitcoin is obviously unpredictable and totally unstable for now although this might be change if someone can regulate or manage it soon by banks and governments because i oftenly heard that some countries are planning to it to be implemented. overall i still have a doubt if bitcoin can really reach that high amount because right now im getting a bad feeling that something bad will happen to bitcoin thinking that we are now closer on a bubble phase.

My guess (based on the accelerated move up today) is $20,000 before Dec 10 or thereabouts when the CME futures exchange launches (if I got the date correct?), that is if we don’t top out at $15k here and now and take a breather until next year.

For me maybe By the end of the year 2017. Unless there are no negative issue that can effect bitcoin growth rate. Cause sometimes that is common reason why bitcoin value is fluctuated. As of now bitcoin is stable perhaps it will continue to grow and exceed 20k after year end.

$15k is just around the corner, who knows it will reach before Christmas Day, bitcoin price were climbing too high and congrats for the early adapters and holders. Such a good decision of holding it.

I would say with confidence that next year we're going to see that happen. However, i'm really not sure about whether it is going to happen by the end of this year, as some people suggest will happen at this point. Even though we have indeed seen exceptional amounts of volume going into buying bitcoin, it still does not justify a 50% rise in value for BTC within 20 days, in my opinion at least.

But as i said, just wait till next year and see.

Right now I don't see a scenario where this doesn't happen before march of next year. I know that the situation is ever changing but right now bitcoin is absolutely rampaging and if it continues I can't see how we won't reach 20k before then.

Current price today is $14,700 it increases almost $4,900 in just 1 week so if this price will continue to move upward 20k to 25k may reach before the end of the year chance is very big. 

although we don't know when the price is going to hit $20k, we can only predict the price still increase in january next year and I predict that the price will hit in that month or less. and if we calculate the price before, we only need few weeks to reach the higher price. this is good for bitcoin because more people will see bitcoin make a new price level.

Yeah that was what i was thinking as well.

Basically, it's going to be pretty easy for bitcoin to get to $20k. I mean we've already broken the 5 figure barrier and that was the real barrier before the year long bitcoin rally just starts to go parabolic. $20k is only doubling the price we're seeing now, not difficult whatsoever(actually less than 2x at current prices).

The timing is what will be interesting to see though. Will we see pullbacks pause the progress we've made or will this just be a smooth run all the way up? I would say january next year as well, but maximum february or start of march.

I have to go to this thread because $14,000 was passed. Continuing to predict that although the accuracy is not much, my guess is bitcoin is going to hit $20000 on January 2018.

It's almost 15k usd

In some site, the price is at 15k. Some blogs are even saying that it will spike to at least 20k$ by the end of this year. It is really hard to predict but i think it has attracted many curios people when it reached this price. I could also tell that their will be some clogs in the blockchain server. A lot of transaction especially now that it is christmas. Many hodlers will have a one time transaction for the holidays.

January or February next year I guess or if luckily this bull will run up to the end of year we can possibly see it ending near to $20,000. We're near to $15,000 and that makes sense to predict that $20,000 soon is very near and possible to happen.

Instead of thinking that, just try to take advantage of what it is today. It's not making sense to know when that $20,000 will hit because basically no one knows. It might be later, might be tomorrow, might be next week etc.

There "might" be an event that will happen on the way that can pumped hard the price to $20,000, same goes also for a dump. For now, let's just enjoy what bitcoin is giving to us. Remember that while bitcoin price is increasing, make sure that we are really getting the benefits of it thru riding the crazy trend.

If bitcoin is continue to go at this rate then it may hit $20K by January 2018,but there is a fork coming up so it may influence the price of bitcoin and high chance for bitcoin price fall.The bitcoin reached $14K in just few hours and altcoins are dumping so from this we can assume that all altcoin holders are transferring their coins to bitcoins to get that free coin.Maybe after got free coins they will return to altcoins so there is high chance for bitcoin price fall after the fork.

It might be enough for a first week of january although it would be possible if the continuos growth of users and its money for each and every people. And if would be so popular that everyone in the world knows about bitcoin. I think the news about Mcdonalds accepting bitcoin is a big hit just imagine the popularity of mcdonalds and about the implementation of bitcoin and put it up to use and with ease.

what i mean is look at it right now,there're a lot of opportunities in front of you.
why dont you take this chance to get or maximize your profit as much as you can ?
this kind of move will not last forever and someday there will be a retrace that will happen with it and lead us to massive downturn.
from now until the end of this year we can see a green sign from it.
also lately we heard about another listing that will happen with it in Q1 2018 in the future,
so from now until 2018 ish we should see another movement that will happen with it.
be smart and make a strategy other than speculating something like that,

After all this increases, that obviously out of our imagination that will happen this month, what more that we haven’t seen?. It totally change everything, many speculation have proven wrong and predicting the price is now turn as unreliable. By Friday if you all beggars keep holding, lol I was trying to buy some Bitcoin for a friend but the local exchange had zero balance, and not just Bitcoin, they didn't have ETH or BCH. they know that I could buy something else and exchange it for Bitcoin in another exchange service.
Holding will pump the price up. and if you are holding on exchanges, don't. I'm begging you on behalf of the begging community.

It is not far from right now. 20k is very easy to reach for bitcoin in this time. I think bitcoin will hit 20k before the end of this year.

From my views bitcoin is going to hit $20000 at the end of the 2018 . I'll take a guess that $20,000 can happen on the very first month of 2018. It's either we will welcome new year with that opening price or if not we are just expecting it with a very high price. But I'll also depend on those majority predictions that it's very possible to see bitcoin to be on that price as it's reliable and since bitcoin is moving because of the demand that it is getting from investors.

Today bitcoin has reached a very high price. I think $ 20k will be very easy to pass but now it has fallen $2000. Maybe $20k is not an easy target, next year is the right time.

High fees might have an negative impact for the bitcoin price in the future.

It should be more like NEM (XEM) with minimum fees and low energy mining based on 'Proof Of Importance' rather that 'Proof Of Stake'.

Price now is $16,790 and this just happened after a correction so that's really a counted prediction and is possible to happen on January 2018. But what's good here is that bitcoin can still pump some more for this month. And chances of seeing the price of bitcoin at that rate is very possible any moment from now, it can pump just like what happened before, surpassing $18,000 and just jump to $20,000 immediately.

Is definitely something that cann´t be predicted the great rise  in the price that it had in the last few weeks perhaps still does not consolidate as such, maybe it's best to wait until the end of the year to have a better opinion about whether it could reach the $20k, but perhaps the difficult thing would not be that it reached that point, but could be maintained at that price, but every time the graphs are observed one imagines that the price at any time can come down but only from the current perspective.

The next psychological barrier is $20,000 so it might actually be reason for another correction, but on the other hand, the same was being speculated about that it would happen when the market reaches $10,000, but it didn't.

At this moment the price of the bitcoin is 16,200 dollars and the price decrease because the price is 16,800 dollars but it will decreased . I think the possible price become 20k dollars in the last week of december and I hope that really happen so we can make more profit in the future. With bitcoin, it is just unpredictable because a month ago, price is only half of what it is today so who would have thought that it can reach this high so the $20,000 may be reach before the end of the year. Now bitcoin is back $17,000. We all know it will higher than the previous record, bitcoin will hit $20000 but the time is hard to predict. Maybe a few days, maybe a few weeks.

I guess before this year  2017 end bitcoin will touch the $20,000 because as we have exprerience we saw that bitcoin fluctuation has become faster. $3,000 more to go before it will reach $20,000 and there is less than 3 weeks before this year ends. I don't think it will be enough to see bitcoin gain that price. I'm expecting it to be seen by January 2018. There will be more of it once bitcoin started to hit $20,000. Today we are longing to see bitcoin at $20,000 but once it reaches $19,000 or that price we will long for another ATH.

That correction was done I guess and I think it should be enough to see bitcoin getting to $20,000. It's not a spectacular gain but that's what everyone has been aiming for this year and early month of 2018. Bitcoin price is unpredictable, it can go higher than $20,000 in less than 2 hours and later falls to $19,000 then stabilise at $19500, without any stress. This can even be attained before the end of the year. Let's wait and see what happens by the end of the year.

According to my prediction, the bitcoin will arrive at $ 20.000 next month (Januari, 2018).
However, the next two months (Februari), I don't know.

It's based on nothing but just your inside feelings. Important aspect is that if you look closely, the dips get bought up each and every time, which points at people looking to utilize every possible coin discount to enter the market, or to lower their average buying price. If we talk about corrections, then in my book, at current stage means that we'll need to see the market tank with $4000 at minimum. But then again, we've been waiting for corrections to take place for quite some time now, and they have yet to show up. As long as there is capital flowing into this ecosystem, we'll keep surging due to the global demand. Everyone talks about it, everyone wants to be part of it, and yet a lot of them haven't even pulled the trigger, which indicates how much more growth we might experience.

Speculation is difficult to say with accuracy since all are just an educated guess, even just a guess. I would guess that Bitcoin will reach the 20,000 dollar mark from the time of this posting and 31st of January at 23:59 UTC. I believe that it is enough to break a new all time high. Bitcoin rallied within hours for a 2k USD increase and 6 weeks would be long enough to break the 20k mark.

let me guess, i think bitcoin hit $20,000 price before this year end, maybe christmas onward. because bitcoin already hit $18,000 these few days, and the volatile of this bitcoin price leads us to hit that price ($20k) from the high demand (usage) of this bitcoin this upcoming holidays, so the price of this bitcoin will surly hit or cross that said price mentioning above.

I think it is entirely possible we hit that price before the end of this year bitcoin is above 16.5k and we hit an even higher price just a few days ago, now whether or not that price is going to be stale is another story but if you are waiting to reach that price to sell you are not going to wait for a lot of time.

Funny is that because of how the average person is well aware of Bitcoin lately, market strategists and other self claimed experts think that this is the moment where we are near the burt of this 'bubble'. They just can't stand how Bitcoin is growing and attract capital from people, while they because of this will likely ignore the traditional markets due to their slow and lame returns. Why wasting a full year for a return of 2-3%, while you could put your money into something as Bitcoin that has only been growing with outrageous numbers throughout the years? It's like you plan a trip to the other side of the world, and you can choose to walk the entire distance (traditional market), or drive a Ferrari to your destination (Bitcoin market).

according to my prediction bitcoin prices will reach 20,000 dollars by the end of this year. because usually at the end of the year bitcoin prices have increased as last year at the end of the year bitcoin rose drastically. so I'm sure by the end of this year bitcoin will go up. even more than 20,000 dollars. because the bitcoin system is getting stronger and more and more in the interest so no doubt the price will definitely go up

i wonder if the incoming holidays will have any impact on the price since so much cash has been pumped in the last couple of months...usually around every christmas we experienced a price drop...but that was much more noticeable when the market cap was much muuuch smaller..  it's just crazy how people like presents, and santa's gonna be hefty this year for lot of ppl  ;D

That is the middle of the month and bitcoin is trading at the price between 16 and 17k$ for days already. As many of voters I think 20k$ will happen by the end of the year. Well, on South Korea exchangers for sure  :D

20k is not far the reason the 20k price get a bit late because people were aiming to sell at the 15k and many people sold their coins at that time and then it takes time to overcome the value that get a bit of decline but bitcoin is now again on the right track and there may be a chance that this weekend will be the 20k hitting time because people are very conscious about bitcoin and they want to invest their last penny into it,

Op, no one can tell exactly when Bitcoin value will reach $20,000 but we are all hoping that Bitcoin value will reach  $20,000 by next year though this is just my opinion base on the way i understand the market trends of Bitcoin.

I hope, early January 2018 bitcoin has crossed $20K if Christmas it has not happened yet. In essence, i'm sure it's happening right away. And it became the result of waiting years that i watched bitcoin ever fall on $300.

Seem BTC will hit the 20K mark very soon. I'm afraid what will follow because everybody is talking about huge correction after 20-21K mark. I don't know should I try to make a swat with USDT and then buy bitcoin again. I'm scared to lose my bitcoins as I'm not a whale.

From my views the price of bitcoin is going to hit $20000 at the end of  january 2018 because the number of user of bitcoin is increasing countinously day by day . From my experience towards the bitcoin . The price of bitcoin will reach 20,000$ by tomorrow. 25 December it will hit 20,000 USD. Because it is promised by bitcoin as the investors showing there positive side for bitcoin and going for investing billions into bitcoin. We saw Bitcoin breach the $19000, 00 price level today, so the $20,000.00 level is only a breath away and with not major threat like another hard fork in view, we can expect the recent rally can only but continue so it is almost a done deal.

I completely agree with you, because $ 20,000 is already a reality in some countries. Even in the Eastern region of Europe this morning we had a cost of 19700 dollars for bitcoin.

Its not just imagination or specualation because this landmark has already been achieved in my country and i am preety sure that this news will soon be official and price will go beyond that benchmark soon.The journey is towards $50k by the end of 2018 if we also do not make huge speculations.

In major exchange places bitcoin hasn't reached 20k$ yet, it'll be soon this year or at the beginning of next year if there's no bad news coming.

Bitcoin reaching $20,000 will be too soon from now. It may be later perhaps. Remember the value of Bitcoin now is at $19,200. Hence, anything is possible with just a blink of an eye. And when that time happens, I am more than willing to withdraw a huge chunk of my money that I invested here. No doubt about it, the way its moving, $20K is not far, maximum time would be January if not December 2017. The Bull run is too strong and it will probably continue, it might stop for few days but will be back climbing again. Many analysts are claiming its a bubble which is way too strong, so might not burst soon. And yes I guess everybody doesn't want to be there at the time of bubble, actually this thought might also create the burst along with others reason.

Last week the price of Bitcoin was 19000$ which clearly shows that it is capable of rising to new heights.It is true that a drop is there in it's price but Bitcoin is known for it's volatility so these drops are quite common.So I think by the mid of January Bitcoin will be able to succeed in achieving the 20000$ mark.

Well, I think it will be on february or early 2018 or first quarter. Couple of months are only needed, I believe, for Bitcoin to reach a market value of 20000 USD. It is now stucked between 12000 and 13000 USD, playing dump and pump. Maybe it has todo with the season whereon transactions are high. In my opinion, I guess bitcoin's price will start to rise by the start of February onwards. I doubt that it will hit the $20000 mark before this year ends because of the big drop happened due to holidays which force some of us to dump coins.

It's usual that there is a price dump at the end of every year and it struggles till first quarter of next year and as you have rightly said the price will start shooting up after February and the reason we could not achieve $20000 is because of the negative impact of panic selling as it's creating more supply and dump has halted the demand as a result value of bitcoin throttle down even more but in couple of months it will be normal and the landmark of $20000 is achievable by the end of 2018

It has already touched it, but after touching that price, it started to go down like a plummet, i dont know why it has been happening lately, but it is very preocupant after all, soon we will be there again.

This has been expected to take place long back. The price went as close as $20000 and in some exchanges it even crossed $20000. now the current price of bitcoin is $13000 and the price of bitcoin is countinously increasing because the demand of bitcoin  is increasing by the people so by seeing the demand and countinously increasing price of bitcoin it estimate that the price of bitcoin will hit $20000 at the end of january of 2018. I think in February, bitcoin could be above $20K. I'm sure we're all optimistic with bitcoin values as demand continues to soar in market and this is a driving factor that will make it happen.

This seems about right, altcoins are going up right now and that means that some of the money is getting out of bitcoin but eventually altcoins are going to calm down as well and we are going to see even greater profits in bitcoin in the first quarter or the second quarter of this year.

My prediction is maybe this month of january the price will bullish and touch down again the 20k valued . Perhaps middle of January it will start to increase again , like wee see the market graph of bitcoin nowadays the price is always fluctuated between 14k-15  maybe after this it will jump again to the top.

Indeed, bitcoin has already touch the $20000 and I think it occur on mid of december. Unfortunately, it didn't last long and I think it just happen 1 hour and back again to its original price. However, for sure this year it will now exceed its current price because bitcoin is volatile.

that is right and we have another day to see the price increase back. I think the correction is almost over and the price starts to increase again because in the many exchanges, I see the green candle start to show and it means soon the bitcoin price will increase back and in that time, we can make a big profit. meanwhile, we can try to increase our bitcoin amount by doing trade another coins so we can add more profit in our wallet.

That is not really important, what it is really important is the fact that bitcoin is going to hit that price sometime in the future and with the price being at 15k it seems like a good investment, even if it took bitcoin several months or even a year to reach that price earning about 33% in a year is not a bad business.

Actually, bitcoin had already touch $20000 each however it didn't last long and it came back at $17000. But I am sure that this year bitcoin will touch it again or even exceed that amount. As the time passing by bitcoin price is growing and for sure soon it will become an enormous coin .

It seems your prediction was wrong and we are going to close the month of January at 12000 or 11000 dollars but do not worry bitcoin can be extremely difficult to predict especially now were so many things are happening at the same time, like the future contracts expiring the network being very slow, the growing regulations and a lot of other factors that are difficult to quantify.

It is possible to achieve 20k$ but it takes time maybe march or june by 2018 because many people are recovering some money because they used it last year and too many people cash out there bitcoins because the preparation of christmas and new year lasy 2017 therefore if many people cashed out there money last 2017 and they cashed out the same day and the effect of it the bitcoin price will drop. Thats why it decrease price last minute of the year 2017 and 2018 january.

I think by the end of the year,the price of bitcoin will hit $20000.The main reason for this prediction is the current price of bitcoin is rising a very little and falling again and coming to the price of around $11000.So,if this continues,then it will take this year to rise upto $20000.So,I think,this year would be needed.But,in the case of predicting the price of bitcoin,nothing is sure.Anything can happen.But,I have studied a lot.The seniorss are guessing that a crash of the price of bitcoin is coming.So,I think if it actually happens,then it would really take time to reach the price of of $20000.

It already happened on December,so we can expect this on June.Till March ,the price of bitcoin will fluctuate in low value.After March,we can expect huge difference in the price  of bitcoin.So if you have a bitcoin just it till April,t hen sell the bitcoin.You will gain a lot from the holding bitcoin.

Hopefully end 2018 bitcoin value can be above $20K, which means break the highest value trend ever achieved by bitcoin. However, in essence i am optimistic longterm investing in bitcoin provides a nice advantage.

I do not know when it will all come back, whether it will be fast or it will be slow.
But, at this point there are definitely some out there that have some bad impacts that affect current prices tend to be stable, manipulation, FUD.
This gives a bad impression to investors, ultimately investors take all their money from bitcoin. Maybe at least we will last for several months ahead, but I hope at the end of 2018 we can see again bitcoin to the moon.
