Title: How I made 0.3 for free in just a couple weeks.
Post by: Hollowinfinity on July 10, 2013, 09:36:12 PM
Been on this forum a while, and I'm still not even a jr member because I never make my own posts. :P

Thought I'd give some info out as to how I was able to go from 0BTC to 0.3 BTC in just a couple weeks by using the internet to my advantage. Never paid a dime.

First, I started with BTC Faucets. Some of the best ones I had found were www.coinreaper.com which compiles a huge list of different faucets and takes you from site to site.
after a while, I realized I was kinda just wasting my time- dust collecting won't make you much, and the fees could actually harm you in a sense. No one should spend that much time to earn literally cents of a dollar a day.

I branched out a found a few earn sites. The best of which I found was www.landofbitcoin.com
This site pays you in satoshis for entering captchas every 5 minutes, but how you actually earn is by waiting for videos to pop up. I enable sound notification so I don't have to stay on the page. Video pops up, I play it and leave the volume on low so I don't have to hear it. They pay 5000 satoshis per view, so it doesn't take much effort and you can earn probably 0.005 BTC a day with that system. On that website you will find other options such as bitvisitor.com which pays you for viewing web pages for 5 minutes at a time.

Do yourself a favor and try not to waste much time though, as it is just another form of dust collecting. To much time/effort for low payments. You may also want to try www.captchacoin.com as they pay 200ubtc per 20 correct captchas, which is less time consuming than most places with a higher payout. Be weary, as the captchas are very case sensative. V's are hard to distinguish between v's.

Through all this I found my favorite way to earn, and that wold be www.coinchat.org. You earn mbtc for just talking to people. Couldn't be easier. The community there is absolutely great too, and uses the new inputs.io online wallet exclusively. Inputs.io is very great too for those who have yet to check it out. Coinchat also contains a plethora of betting games, and people are encouraged to create their own rooms, and bots- if you are good with coding, creating a bot is another great option to make some extra BTC on the side. In fact, a well known person named "fontas" showed up in the chat room a week or so ago and started to give random people 100mbtc tips at a time (0.10)btc. This was very generous of him, and please if you come to coinchat, be a part of the community, and don't just ask for tips. :)

If you feel generous please sign up under my referral link- It would be appreciated.  http://coinchat.org/r:Hollowinfinity

Lastly, since I love poker I eventually found a few great sites which allow for hourly freerolls. The two sites are www.sealswithclubs.eu and www.bitspoker.com
If you are great with poker, I'd highly suggest giving it a shot. If you win, you get some chips (each chip is 1/1000 of a btc) and you can enter the higher paying tournaments.

Hopefully this is helpful to at least some of you.

Cheers!

[EDIT: I should note that I use BTC to satisfy my gambling habits- So if you are like me, feel free to support the great betting websites found in the gambling section of the forum as well]

Congratulations on your 20 bucks.

I can make that by dancing topless in the street in about 10 minutes. It's because people pay me to wear a shirt again.

In relation to the time you invested in those weeks IMO it ain't worth it - anyway congrats

For most people that makes sense. I don't spend terribly too much time on it though, and beforehand I wasn't making a dime on the internet. To each their own. :)

And you only got hacked 3 times in the process. Congrats! and don't get hacked again.

3 times? I'll admit some jackass phished a few people, but they took- what? 10 cents from me? Haha I'd gladly lose 10 cents to learn a lesson- thanks tho. ;)

Umm... Are we thinking of the same site here? Last time I checked, Landofbitcoin.com was a faucet rotator for Microwallet.org. That one was actually one of the first faucet rotators I used before I started getting seriously into Bitcoin (and like you, realizing that faucets are mostly a waste of time and it is much better to just buy it with fiat instead :D).

From your profile it seems that u r 40 year old male. Why on earth people will pay u a single buck for dancing topless unless u r a female ? :D

Decent if the sites actually work. It's obvious that this thread is an old one. I like to find ways to earn Bitcoin easy, though, and I've found that doing jobs for people is the one reliable way to earn Bitcoin without hitting the faucets or gambling.

You can totally forget all these sites if you want to get some btc.
If you are really desperate use the landofbitcoin rotator, that one is actually less of a pain in the ass than the others.
You might be lucky and get a single USD cent out of it after wasting an enormous amount of time. A cleaning lady earns more than this.

0.3 seems huge, can you send an address so we can see the transactions coming in?

Faucets are a waste of time, they can be fun for a while but you won't earn anything decent from them

yes, hopefully the same will be true for faucets today in 2 years

I have made about a million satoshi from faucets i guess. Altough i only do faucets when i absolutely have nothing better to do, as otherwise they're generally a waste of time.

Something is better than nothing, right? Now the faucets are really useless though there are some highly paying faucets.  ::)

You can always try mining alts though.

Coinchat is dead.
The wallet client it used was hacked, the site was then given to a new admin who did not respect the users oppions and as such lost a huge part of its userbase.
It now is based around Doge coin but gives out about 2-7 doge at a time.

Of course it is better to get $30 than to get nothing.
But when there are better alternatives (eg. sig program), why would you stick with the faucets? ;)

The "Get Captcha" button isn't working for this site. I tried clicking it but nothing happens. Tried six hours later and still nothing. :(

EDIT: It seems that other people are having similar problems with this site:

Congratulations on making your first BTC. However, faucets, captcha solving etc. are not a very good long-term money making option in my honest opinion.

Your congratulation come a year late lol. :P

Very true. The amount you can get from faucets is very very low, and it is better to not wasting time on them to get a few cents an hour. :)

faucets actualy pay well if you do them 2 years ago :P

So this guy will be sorry, 1 year from now, he did not spend more time doing them.

Well when the faucets were around in 2013
A penny at that time turned into a dime on average but that was more or less it so I guess it still has some growth possible but the faucets decrease with time as the price rises as well :)

Some of them are still active, like the CoinReaper, LandofBitcoin and SealswithClubs.
Of course, the pay rate is much lower now than a year ago, since the bitcoin price is now much higher. :)

They are not a "money making option" period, you will get a few Dollars a week if you are put up hours everyday

$200 or 0.3 is pretty decent.
people will say you wasted all that time online, but truthfully you probably would of been online all that time anyways right ? most of us would of, and its an extra bit of work for the same amount of time to make 200.

your post was pretty helpful for younger people looking to make some extra money.
i bet half of the members including hero members here are probably doing the same to make $200.

I guess you can say i invested my time to build some Latium referrals and now the 100 referral levels are growing daily with no work from me.

If you join Latium, Please use my link (in my signature)

Then you get 5LAT just for joining and you earn more LAT from your referrals on 100 levels!

I think there's other threads which have this information but are more up to date coinchat is no longer available and has been shut down for a long time. But we shouldn't lock the thread it still has some good suggestions and also a story of success for the OP.

Back in the good ol' days?

I'll confess that I'm still doing the faucet thing, mostly as a novelty still. Any thoughts on freebitco.in? It pays more than 50-70 satoshi per hour (although I admit that the amount is still insanely small).

LOL at this old thread that keeps getting bumped and confusing newbies.

You stay 24/7 claiming coins on faucets? It's impossible, lol.

Faucets pay ~10-70 satoshis every hour and I think that you can't stay 24h filling faucets...

Freebitco.in pays much more than that. It pays about ~300 satoshis per hour. The price changes depending on the BTC/USD exchange rate. And you can get larger amounts too if you're lucky. About 1 in 100 rolls will be a lucky one where you can win 10 or even 100 times the normal amount. If you use it 24/7, then you might even hit the biggest or second biggest prize within a year or two. Personally I wouldn't bother with a faucet that only pays 10-70 satoshis per hour unless it was part of a faucet rotator.

There is also the PrimeDice faucet which pays 250 satoshis per minute (10,000 or 20,000 during HH), but there is a minimum withdrawal limit of 50,000 satoshis. I once bet 250 satoshis on it and ended up with $2 worth of BTC which I then cashed out. The chances of that happening was 0.1%.

I remember in 2011 the faucets were giving .1 hehe now the amount is ridiculous..

Wow, I did not knew, 2011 faucet was so generous and was giving 0.1 BTC.
I wish I knew Bitcoins that time.

Unfortunately, I knew about Bitcoin in 2011, the faucets, the mining, the forums, the exchanges, everything... but I ignored it. :(

And yet even with this, if you stand outside a supermarket and look for loose change or even beg for change you will make more per hour than would would visiting faucets.  Hitting faucets is non-productive useless work than just makes people more sedentary.  Go out, mow a lawn, get $20, buy some BTC.
