What are mcxNOW fee shares
Firstly they are not shares in mcxNOW itself, this is for legal reasons. Holding a mcxNOW fee share gives you a percentage of every single fee mcxNOW generates. Earnings are paid daily, there is no middleman, there is a 1:1 direct correlation to fees generated and what you earn by holding a fee share.

How many mcxNOW fee shares are you creating?
There are 100000 in total. 50% will never be sold, so the amount of available fee shares is 50000. Each share therefore represents 0.001% of the daily fees.

How much are you offering each fee share?
They will be selling for 0.1btc, which currently makes them worth roughly $10 each.

How will fee shares work on mcxNOW?
Each day the exchange will calculate all the fees generated and reward you in every single currency the exchange has. This means any future currencies added will also give you new earnings. Fees currently include trade fees, withdrawing fees and even exchange upgrades like the pro trading account. Any fee the exchange generates now, or in the future, you will have 0.001% of for each share.

A new exchange tab will be created for these fee shares allowing people to trade them like any other currency at the exchange. You can have active orders and still accrue earnings. So not only can you earn money through the fees generated daily, but by trading them.

How long will fee shares be active and will you create more in the future?
Fee shares will be active as long as mcxNOW is operating. It may make sense in the future to create more shares if price of a single share is too much, if any more shares are created you will receive your current percentage in shares of the new shares. So basically if mcxNOW doubles the fee shares to 200000 in the future to reduce price, you'll get double your existing amount of shares. mcxNOW will never relinquish more than 50% of the fee shares due to costs of running the exchange.

When will all this be implemented on mcxNOW
99% likely to be before August 10th. The next update to mcxNOW is rather large and includes major overhauls to user accounts. Most of it is already done. There is also an unannounced feature that should greatly help mcxNOW to become the #1 exchange for every coin it trades.

How do I get mcxNOW fee shares?
You can either buy them now or wait until August 10 when anyone who does buy them now has the option of selling them on the exchange at a price of their choosing. I'm aiming to only sell 1000 to 5000 of the 50000 shares initially to reward the people who do get in early. The remaining will not be offered on the exchange itself, leaving only the people who buy them before August 10 to trade. The goal is to do another release of the remaining shares sometime next year when the price is a lot higher and the exchange has proven itself over a longer period of time.

To buy them send me an email to mcxnow.exchange@gmail.com with the subject "mcxNOW fee shares".  Provide your user account on mcxNOW and number of shares you want to buy. You may not get all the shares you ask for if the amount is too large, but put the maximum you want anyhow. In the coming days you will receive an address to send Bitcoins to and the amount of shares you have been given.  On the launch of the next update you will a confirmed amount of fee shares in your account ready to go.

The next update incorporates quite a lot of asked-for features. Two of which are an account overhaul and a theme selection/ UI that doesn't look like the atari underground.  The dark theme is still available but I have made a white theme for those that like that look. Indeed, for those that don't know I made SolidCoin v1 (basically a bitcoin clone with a few, at the time, cool changes), SolidCoin v2 (first proof of stake coin that has pretty much failed to get any traction for numerous reasons) and MicroCash which is a new cryptocurrency.

One reason the exchange is better than most (at the backend) is due to my experience developing these coins, so it's a luxury for the users of the exchange to have such an experienced developer working on it.

Ok 10000 have already been asked for which is over double what I wanted to sell. I'll still accept small orders < 5 to 10 shares because I'd rather get as many people in as possible rather than just let the few benefit. The guys asking for big amounts will just have their orders clipped a bit to accommodate this.

Exchange made about $10000 USD in fees in July. I think this is small fry compared to what is coming though with the new features and currencies. I didn't make an exchange to become exceedingly wealthy. This is why the new unannounced feature and the underpriced fee shares are about helping others get more money and perhaps even a reliable income so they can get themselves out of the poisonous 9-5 work system. The more "Free" people there are I think the more value can be added to the world, they can concentrate on producing things of value rather than plastic pumpkins for survival.

I'll probably do another round of fee shares next year after the exchange has proven itself for a longer period of time and see if the big features I'm adding have made it the best exchange for pure cryptocurrency. At that point you'll have more data to decide whether it's worth it to you or not. All the shares have already been "sold" but if you want to do an order under 10 shares I can accommodate you.

Yes all up over 20000 were requested and I had to put the breakers on it. But I believe it's in the best interests of mcxNOW to not have too many feeshares released initially, I am not hard up for the cash (most of the exchange is built already I'm just adding more stuff) and I'd rather see the 100 or so investors have a very nice return themselves on it. I'm sure you'll be able to get some on launch day if you just offer a tiny bit over 0.1btc, many people think in the short term.

I think we should support the business model you are proposing because it's wise. It will produce more profits for you because if people make more money they'll use exchanges more, but it also gets them out of the poisonous 9-5 system which is really outdated.

I've processed 54 orders at the moment and still have about 50 more to do. It is about to hit the hay time here but if any of you want small orders I will probably make it happen. There's about ~1300 shares left and about 6 people wanting large >1000 shares that I can cut into.

I'm trying to do some maths here to see if this is a good investment or not. So july the exchange made $10000 (which we can assume is the best month of the exchange by far for fees due to primecoin - correct me if I am wrong RS).

1 share equals 0.001% of the monthly fees. ie 10 cents.

1 share costs $10. So $10 gives a 10 cents monthly dividend. That is $1.20 per year. So you are looking at making 12% annual return on investment. Assuming the exchange continues to pull in $10,000 per month trading fees and the price of the fee share remains constant.

Given the risks of a crypto stock I think that makes the current price fair. Neither a bargain nor a rip off. A lot of it rides on Primecoin continuing to be the exchange cashcow though.

I've created 104 orders for the 5000 shares, so average shares per person is under 50, which is pretty good in my opinion. I had to do all these manually so it took some time.

At this stage the likelihood of anyone emailing me for shares and getting any is very low. There is a waiting list of over 30 people, and 3560 of the 5000 shares have already been paid for. If any of the remaining shares aren't funded soon then the curent waiting list can easily buy over 10000 shares themselves. So I'm sorry, there is no point emailing me anymore about this as they are all taken.

I bought 55 shares and I would have bought more if I had more BTC.

I'm hoping that in the future you will be able to release another block of shares, but for sale using Solidcoins/Microcash.  This is probably the only viable investment I'd be willing to trade for my SC.

Also, as a comparison, Vircurex went public on Cryptostocks back in early February.  Shares were offered for .1 BTC and, at one point, I think they managed to skyrocket to about 1BTC each.  Now, the value is a reasonable .25-30 BTC.

MCXNow is a smaller exchange but it is also much newer.  Furthermore, when MCXNow was turned on, I was hooked from day-one and I've found the experience much more reliable the Vircurex.

If history is any indication of investment worth, a .1BTC/Share buy-in will almost certainly be a good investment, even if you want to sell all on on August 11.

Well, I'm not going to try to stick up for VCX nor can you really make an apples-to-apples comparison of the two exchanges.  Still, Vircurex did go public and inspite of the above "scam" issue, it's still trading at a value 2.5x it's original offering.

Comparatively, I think MCXNow is going to do much better, both as an investment performer and as a professional exchange.

cryptocoincharts cannot get all the volume at mcxNOW unfortunately. This is partly because I don't give historical data in an API form for these sites to build their databases. The next update of mcxNOW includes a historical graph of the coin prices including, low, high,avg prices and total sell and buy volume. So on the site itself you can see the data and volumes.

There's a couple things I need to work on for the API to allow 3rd party sites to have cleaner access to the details they want. Much of it has been improved for the next update already.

I think you're in the minority.  People are buying shares in the blackmarket now for higher prices than the original release.

He is doing good job with his website. Its his personality and his presence on the site that makes people hate him or troll against him. If I borrow a sentence from someone on mcxnow: "he is intolerabely arrogant". Given his absolute powers on the exchange and his personality, he doesn't have hard time finding enemies.

Hopefully there will be "Mute" button in the future updates... On the side of the nickname there should be "mute" icon which should behave like mute behaves in League of Legends (for example). It is a bit shady, but it is very easy to verify.

RealSolid posted the list of all the transactions. If the person can give you the transaction details from the bitcoin account, in addition to forwarding the email conversations between the individual and RS, that would be a big step towards verification.

Now for the transfer, the easiest method of transfer would be for you to basically buy the account where the shares are going to be credited. RS is going to credit the shares to an account name, not an individual.

If I was you I would be more concerned whether investing in these shares at this price was a smart move. Even at the July all time high 10,000USD fee profits, the price is only about decent based on the dividend. If August turns out to be a more normal month then people will realise they shouldn't value the shares based on the exchange's best month (when XPM launched). If the true monthly average fee profits for the exchange are more like 3,000 USD then the price you people bought in at is over inflated.

The original date was going to be August 10 but due to two things it failed to eventuate. The first thing is the fact I didn't initially plan on having 131 fee share holders and it took 4 extra days to deal with all of this manually. The second thing is that I've implemented many more features to make this update very special. Here is part of the current *done* feature list.

The current plan is to have it ready between before August 24. This date could also slip but that's my current aim date.

Anyone who wants a refund is welcome to ask for one. I still have all the Bitcoins and a growing waiting list of 70 people who want shares.

Private testing is scheduled to begin tomorrow.

So an update. We have just started private testing of the next massive update. I expect within 24-48 hours we should be able to go live and all feeshare holders will then have their earnings+shares. As can be understood with anything financial related I am taking my time with all changes and testing them thoroughly so noone experiences any issues.

How many times does the hype-mobile need to go around the block before people realize it produces no real value?

For those who want the full story, Microcash was in heavy development from around January to May of this year, after a hiatus due to RealSolid's loss of interest in the project. (It's no secret. RS claims that a decent BTC donation, given to him to finish the project, was stolen from his wallet.  I tend to believe him, BCX doesn't.  Believe whoever you are going to believe.  Regardless, the loss killed his motivation for about 4 months.)

Earlier this year there was a lot of community discussion regarding the dynamics and features that we all wanted to see integrated into a completely new crypto.  Development of the coin was near 90-95% complete and many of us were beta testing it and very happy with the results.  A late-June, mid-July release seemed very realistic.

As you may know, Solidcoins will be converted to Microcash.  When the last exchange to offer Solidcoins pulled support (without any warning) the remaining, active community agreed that we needed an exchange to sell Solidcoins so that Microcash wouldn't be considered the "mother of all pre-mines".  RS made a smart decision and stopped working on Microcash and made MCXnow.

I've been waiting for Microcash for a very long time.  What BCX says is mostly true but you can't re-invent the cryptocurrency concept overnight.  It takes time and when someone like RS organizes a community that can contribute ideas and debate their merits, all while he's trying to earn a living, it is a slow process.

On an unrelated note, I just got into the test site.  The "game changer" is going to make a lot of people happy.  I prefer not to use such terms but it's definitely going to raise the bar on what we all should expect from the exchanges that we use.

BCX, I don't mind debating with you but today's not the day.  I just don't have the time.

Regardless of your opinions of the guy, and his inability to hit deadlines, he has certainly produced.  Considering the fact that he's created an excessively un-DDoSable (yes, I made that word up) exchanges speaks volumes of itself.

If you don't want to believe what RS claims regarding the loss of the BTC donations, that's your prerogative.  Regardless, I know the guy, I consider him a friend and I trust what he says is true.  And that's just my opinion.

I know your history with him goes way back and I know that at times it was quite ugly.  I completely disagree with you but your objections are to be unexpected.

The update has become feature complete and is now being heavily tested to see if there are any remaining issues. I expect we will need another 24-48 hours of testing to satisfy my paranoia. Thanks to all the testers especially necom for all the work he has done in coordinating the bugs. I have recently had to fix bugs in the upcoming WDC patch for the WDC team to ensure their block switch would be seamless which has delayed me slightly. Unfortunately no one else detected issues in their patch and no one seemed able to fix them. The WDC team at least has been very forthcoming in regards to listening to my advice on the matter.

I've updated the financial A.I. (artificial intelligence) of the exchange to help detect any errors and this has helped debug quite a few issues with the new changes (feeshares aren't divisable so parts of the trade and integer math engine had to change). I had to make new unit tests for the trade engine too. The trade engine is slightly slower than before due to these changes but it can still do millions of trades per second.

Going forward it will make it impossible for internet hackers to take advantage of any potential bugs that may exist because as soon as a balance error is detected anywhere in the system the AI will take over and stop it. Unlike other exchanges because mcxNOW is coded purely in C++ I can add features that are similar to anti-virus type self protection mechanisms. With the recent hacks and bugs found in other exchanges it makes me feel very happy with the security at mcxNOW which would be impossible to do. In fact I'm not sure how these other guys sleep at night, ignorance is bliss perhaps!

I´ve received two payments and this must be wrong, even if I keep my litecoins all year, and interest make profit of interest.

By selling these shares, RS is hedging his bets that his exchange will not be around that long. If he trusted in his exchange, the wise move would be to keep all the shares.

If RS thought his exchange would be around for many years to come, he would not be selling shares. He would be keeping them. That tells you how confident he is in his own exchange.

This reminds me of when ASICMiner sold their 10 first blades, and people went insane and started bidding over $8000 a unit. Why would they sell something that was basically printing them money? Because they knew that avalon chips were about to go on the market, and they had already developed their nextgen ASICs. It is unlikely that those who foolishly purchased one of their blades recooped even 20% of their initial investment.

In other words, the present value of these shares is far more than the shares themselves will ever generate. You are all getting fucked over. Mark my words.

This is an interesting point of view, and part of me agrees that the mcxFEE shares are somewhat over-valued considering their age. I don't know how anyone's getting "fucked" though if they are spending their $$ willingly. Caveat emptor on ALL of these damn coins and services--that said, to me, my .5 investment in shares was worth it (as was my 3,000,000 DVC pass through ASICMINER investment).

Why must one break even on the share for it to be of value?

You have a clean negative bias towards the developer and are taking it out on the product clearly. At least be smarter about your direct bashing.

Are the shares currently over-priced? Yes. That's because those buying them are speculating an increase in volume in the future and are willing to take the risk of doing so. At this point you're either jealous or just hate RS. Either are valid, but neither help progress anything.

What is the purpose of a share? To make money. These shares will never make back the original investment. Therefore, they are a poor investment.

The long term performance of these shares is not particularily important.

It's called a Zero Sum Game... you can Google this if you know how (it's not complicated).

While mcxFEE shares may very well be overpriced, you can't apply same reasoning to mining equipment and shares of an exchange.  Mining equipment is a depreciating asset, that will eventually have near zero value after it is not worth paying for electricity to run it.  Therefore, it is important to consider the total dividends that will be generated before the asset value reaches zero. Businesses, on the other hand, are generally not expected to decay to zero value.  In the case of a new and growing business such as mcxNOW, earnings are expected to increase over time, thus increasing the present value of the shares.

mcxNOW is currently the best implementation of a Crypto Exchange...
With some minor, fixable issues like crappy charts.

It's the leading edge, baby, with *** actual, detailed, growing revenues ***...
Unlike a lot of the crazy vapor-ware floating around here...
Or Alt Coins that produce no revenue... and get their valuations out of thin air.

You have to analyze quality Crypto issues...
The same way you might have looked at internet stocks in 1997.

I understand, but why would anyone want to destroy an anlternative cryptocurrency (since it's completely voluntary and nobody is forced to use it)?

Besides that, competition to bitcoin is good, since we have more alternatives and it forces bitcoin developers to improve it faster.

In the long run BCX did RS a big favor...

Hey BCX, long time.  It's been busy and I miss our epic discussions.

Anyway, I have no clue how the gameplay will work, but there will be fees associated with playing them.  My guess is that these will not be skill-based games but luck instead.  Their intent is, obviously, to just generate extra, voluntary fees like the payban system.
