Everyday, I watch the price of the coin that I have bought. But sometimes this could cause FUD or FOMO if the coin pump or dump tremendously. I sold my coins when I saw the price go up, but missed out the huger profit.
I think if you watch the price of your coin everyday, it will put pressure on your emotion.
Some people just buy it and don't think about it, which could be good or bad.
What do you think? Do you watch the price everyday? If not, how often do you watch it?
How do you feel before you watch it?

I agree with you, do not watch your price all the time it can be very unhealthy...you need to do something productive instead. You can set an alarm for your when the price hit your target on blockfolio

I do, especially now that many of the altcoins I have are either in a stand still in value, if not, continuously dropping in value. I can't blame anyone, though, because that's the effect of the recent price surge of bitcoin. However, I am happy to see some surviving altcoins like Eth, Waves, LTC, sumokoin, and the like because that means altcoins are not dead just yet. I am hoping for most of them to regain strength because it can help the market be more active.

i do. i currently hold around 10-15 coins. i installed coinmarketapp on all my phones and favorited those coins (along with a few others i find interesting).

but don't know if i hold more coins in the future (like 30-50) or when come the days when i'll be busy at work. perhaps i'll watch only some of the coins.

checking price everyday is the good way to check the market fluctuation.  You have to catch the news to give the important decision. What's about the emotion? you have to accept and train your emotion under pressure if you wanna succeed.

I downloaded an app that saves me alot of time, look at all my coin in 1 minute and see the profit too, the app is coincap.io if anyone is interested

I usually watch the price a few times a day, but not like every 5 minutes or so. That would definitely be unhealthy and not really even profitable. I tried day trading some time ago and doing swing trades / making 30 trades a day I found is not as profitable as just holding a coin for a week or month and then selling. I would definitely advise against checking prices every 10 minutes or something because it will just give you anxiety.

I have blockfolio where I track the ALT rates and put in alerts.

I use an app that i downloaded in the playstore named Blackfolio. It's easier in there to watch the prices there. And it's better if you always watch the prices of your coin if you're a trader so that you will know where will you invest next.

I watch it at least 1 time every 2 hours.

I don't use stop losses, so sleeping is forbidden  8)

It will put the more emotion. But i just to do it to train my mentalsm. as you can see how so many people are so made if the price goes down. I just use the app like blockfolio to watch the price for all of my portfolios everyday. To give a good mental for me. it looks good but at the same time bad for you.

It depends on whether Im making money or not. If the flow is alive then I can relax. If its not then I have to find a way to restart it, and then its more time consuming.

I do but that's only because it's a rather large amount. NEM is the next big coin to pop btw ;)

I know that this is not a healthy habit, but I can not avoid my obsession to be continuously observing the behavior of the markets throughout the day. There are times I can not sleep or I wake up in the early morning just to observe the price of my cryptos. I know I must find some way to overcome this harmful trend, but I have not found it yet.

I wrote a simple HTML file which retrieves the current prices of my coins and then calculates how much my investements are worth at the moment, the difference to the money I put into them initially and a gain factor. It's nice to see what is going on but I think it would be healthier to blindly HODL for a while and focus on more important issues.

If you trade, I think yes should always keep paying attention to price movements. But if you do not want to bother, you can take advantage of some applications that have a feature alarm price crypto, just by setting the alarm to sound when a certain price.

I do not think so, I never check and track the price of cryptocurrency at all times. But it really depends on your profession. If you are a trader, then you need to check always at all times. But if you're not a trader and just a long-term investment, then I guess you do not have to check every time. Suppose you've collected and bought some Altcoin, then you want to invest long term. Automatically you will not care about the price and just read the news occasionally. You need a check, but you do not have to check every time. I hope you understand what I mean and do not misunderstand. I usually just check from news and discussion of people only.

I check my prices on a daily basis. When your money is at stake, I think it's important to watch every penny.

I watch my coins every day, i read all the news about them, some days if i feel that dump will happen i sell part of them

I look at the price of my coins every day, more than once a day. However, each coin I own i have a plan for. I also plan my investments. I know in advance which coins to buy, how long to hold, what level of profit I want (if it’s a short term hold) so I don’t get carried away with fud or fomo.

Not just every day but also every time when i get up,even have app on my phone that follow market action of some coins and alarms that goes of if the target price is reached(blockfolio app)Trading is my main income as i am earning in few days more then i would earn in a year working the job for wich i went to colledge,yes its stresfull but you need to be cold headed for it

actually were on the same boat because im also doing that. i oftenly check the price of my altcoins every single day and sometimes im addicted to it , to the point that i check it every 20 to 30 minutes. that happens everytime i see a coin that has been pumped out and reach its peak. however i think doing this practice is not a good habit anymore because i then forcibly tempted to sell my coins whenever or wherever i see a price hike in one of them. although i still earn a profit but i still regret it if the value of a coin could move up again.

it's hard not to, unless the market is being super bearish like during late june-july of this year

as a currency trading crypto checking the price or value we are investing is very important, because it will give you a decision what you should do if there is a change in price

I always see prices on coinmarketcap every day because this is my daily job. For me this really affects your psychology a lot because if the altcoin is down then you will definitely feel anxious and can sell everything to preserve your capital. It's best to calm down before buying and selling

I watch it everyday just to make sure how it works on market so I can set a point when I should sell it.

When buying always pick long term and only get coins you believe will have more value in the future. That way whatever happens you won't have to worry until a few years later.

But its good to always also keep tabs on coin prices. By doing so you'll have more chances of spotting very good buying opportunities. Just today i earned a few hundred dollars just by simply trading XRP at a good price range.

Watching price of your altcoin everyday is not wrong, you need to watch it only to monitor the growth and need to fix up a time limit or target price to achieve the desired profit. Until then you may or may not watch everyday, but need to closely monitor the trend occasionally.

I check every 10 15 minutes  :D. And even whenever i wake up at midnight i open blockfolio app and checking all the altcoin prices i have. I know many of you also doing the same.

Short term traders always check the price on daily basis.

Watching the price of your cryptocurrencies will put your pressure high. Because some times the prices are not stable. As an investors or trader you will be prompt to act quickly by selling it off causing you to miss huge prices when it comes.  So you should try to watch it three to four times a week atleast to keep updated. But you must keep your ears open, by reading latest news on cryptocurrencies. These will help you to know your next action. And one more thing, whenever the is low, don't rush off to sell it off, keep calm to decide your next move.

I check the coins that I bought for long term hodl about twice a day, after wake up and before sleep, just for curiosity how it is going. When talking about more risky coins, for these that I made stop loss and buy limits on exchanges, I check it by 10 minutes to 1/2 hours a day, depends  ::) But closer to the first limit of 10 minutes than 1/2 hours. Probably it's not only me doing this, right?  ;D

All altcoin is pump and dump coin at the first month of its launch. Or even if already 6 month old. The good altcoin is only altcoin which has thr reall use case and people really using it on daily basis or inthe futures people believe the technologies will be usefull by people arround the world. And also privacy coin. Privacy coin such monero, zcash, deep union really have their investor keeping those coin from dumping

I used to. I used to watch every coin I owned and a lot of other coins I did not own. Every chance I had, and first thing when I woke up, and last thing before I went to bed. Did it make me a better trader? No. It probably made me worse. I got excited some times, buying when I saw dips I did not expect, or selling too quickly. The best is, Set entry and exit points (that means profits as well as losses) and stick to them religiously. In fact, stick to it better than religion. Especially stick to losses, never change your mind. That way, you also do not stay glued to the charts every day. Unhealthy and ultimately unhelpful.

I was discussing with my friends yesterday about cryptocurrencies investments and he said he do by his coin and keep it until said after one year. I have to adopt that in other not to sell out of panic or taking profit early and starting regretting. I also do watch my altcoins several times in day but I have decided to follow my friend ways of buying and holding for 2018. I believe what happened in 2017 is going to repeat itself again.

I agree, I've started to do the same. Just holding some coins who have strong fundamentals. As long as the fundamentals don't change, then I don't need to change out of the coin.
Doesn't stop me still looking through a ton of coins and consuming tons of Bitcoin news though. lol

Yes, this is the behavior that you see in all investors that all see their prices of invested altcoin. Not only the altcoin but every asset like, stock, bond, commodity etc. This is the natural phenomenon of every person and this habit is derived from the fear of loss and greed to take profit.

Even i watch the price every hour to keep prices are suddenly rising or falling. To anticipate the unwanted thing happens that is losing some capital.

If the initial build is done, I will hodl for at least mid of 2018. Maybe even longer. That means checking is not neccessary every day.

I only look at it on my blockfolio 3 times a day. Bitcoin can only be checked one time but it's very important that you check always your altcoins because it can pump anytime unexpectedly.

i do see my coin everytime. its true there is something that bugging you when you see the value increasing and decreasing. let consider it as an experience for a better person. i keep watching it to see other coin value and keep it in mind in case if i wanted to invest on other coin. so keep tracking other coin you not investing and you investing is a good thing to do. even its not health cause it keep make you caution and nervous. but you need to keep to learn how to control your own self so you can doing trading without afraid of lose and gain

Not really, usually I supervised my coin in two or three days, I Usually set up alert for the coin I bought, so I dont need to keep on checking the coin, and checking the coin every minutes could not give you any conclusion, so its wasting time if you keep on checking your coin everyminute

I think in some point nice to watch the price it is because you can update or decide immediately either to still hold the coin you are holding or not. It is nice also to set an alarm for your coin if reach your limit that can sell automatically.

Not really every day thrice or twice a week, since majority of my coins are not pumped and dump thing all the coins I'm holding has a good future and potential in the market but if I read something about my coin that needs attention I seriously look at it's development and price chart if it is really worth buying or dumping.

I often researched the coin I invested then decided to invest and keep it for a period of at least a week. During this time I will look for other coin instead of constantly watching its value fluctuations because this will distract me and worry, it is not good for an investor. I think if you are not a daily trade person you should not keep track of every hour of your coin as it will give you unnecessary anxiety.

Unfortunately, yes. But this is not because of that I like watching them every minute. This is only because of that market is unknown now and prices are fluctuating hard. That's why I feel like I gotta watch it all the time during a day.

With blockfolio it is so easy.  Currently free app but I won't mind paying for it if they offer a paid version.  Definitely worth it.

Yeah, It has become more of a routine now. Like someone has checking their email every morning, I check the prices of cryptos. I think most of us here do that, I'm not completely obsessed with it and checking it every hour, but I do check it a couple of times during day.

I had a habit of looking at my portfolio for at least few times a day. It's just that I'm so passionate about cryptocurrencies (especially the ones that I'm holding). I have installed Blockfolio on my Android phone and create a Blogspot blog for copying widgets of each coin/token in CoinMarketCap and publish it as a blog post for me to monitor the ones that I have in my possession.

It's a disease for me. I check prices every day or even every hour. It has become my way of life.

you just need to separate your feelings from your head and be cold
if you believe in the coin future, ups and downs are nothing...
there are coins that go to downtrend for few month's and then spike to moon

This is something I also suggested on my closed fb crypto group. Monitoring your coins 24/7is indeed a very unhealthy indeed. Currently since we have about 50+ members we just take note of particular coins that are increasing in value and notify one another. Having a group really makes thinks incredibly easier. Yeah me too i always watch for the price everyday but the price is just dissapointing me. Because the crypto markets are always volatile. But its just normal for long term holders like me, and i believe soon i will reach moon for my patience.

I check their coins every day, some of the coins put sell orders because it is not always in real time uspevaesh to react to events occurring in the market

in every 10 to 12 minutes i check btc and alt coins there if i indeed i have to look out well and people should also learn it who are new what is the price going on in the market there that will help you to get the right thing.

Yes, I usually follow every day. If I have time, look every hour. Because at any moment everything can happen.

For now i do always check out on my portfolio regarding on how my  holdings status regarding on its recent price but i can able to handle myself not to sell when i do saw price increase and extreme discipline would really be needed here because just like yours if you do easily got tempted to sell out then you will surely miss the chance on making big profits. I have experienced this thing this is why i do learn up now and make holds even more stronger and dont easily get tempted no matter how price would go up specially to the coins i do see that have potential for longer runs.

You can't need to watch altcoins price everyday, because these crypto currencies have own strategies on how they are increasing. Maybe the better you can do is to timing the movement of prices before to withdraw or else set a period of time before withdraw. Because their prices in the market was so unpredictable.

There's already several tokens attempting to bridge BTC and ETH and I don't see anything that stands out from these other projects.

Guys we need to start focusing on positivity.

Focus on development of the team, software development, the development of product, the service. We need to do marketing, blogging, website and much more.

The same with a friend of mine. He bought some bitcoins and whatch the price everyday in the market, and since the price has gone down for weeks already, i think he’s going to have a heart attack. But we cant take this fact from investors, it is natural for them to watch and panic because they had taken out money for their investments.

I've my own portfolio. It has got different altcoins and few other coins which were under observation. Everyday these altcoins values were tracked. This is being done to understand the market scenario and use the same for trading purposes. The one that were under observation for a longer time investment, if something is found to show a sustained growth used to invest on that particular asset.

Yes because as much i check on bitcoin's price everyday, i also check on my altcoins on a daily basis too. At least, i can monitor its progress whether i have to crack a smile or frown at the end of the day. But of course, whether bitcoin or alt coins go up or down, i am hodling them for good.

I check the prices of my altcoins more than just once a day. I know it's not really necessary to do it every 2 hours or so, but it had kind of become a part of my daily life.

Yes i check the prices of altcoins that i own every hour, it is better to be concentrated on news, learnings and other crypto related informations, one or two time a day is enough.

Once or twice a day,  if the market is moving a lot i will check it much more.

I also into blockfolio and I receive alerts persistently, in this way I can easily track the prices for me to buy and sell. However, even though I set the alert I visit exchanges randomly so I can have comparison of prices.

Of course and because of doing that, I have made good arbitrages opportunity many times and also it helps me to do profitable short-term tradings.

I always have the intention to make long-term investments but I can not help but watch the coin price all the time, it makes me easily panic.

I always start the day with checking prices and dynamics of main cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum, and etc.). Then I switch to my own portfolio of altcoins. Here I try to compare the dynamics of main cryptocurrencies versus my coins. Based on these observations and read news and opinions, I make a decision on what to buy and sell. This is my routine pattern that I repeat once a day.         

I'm not a big time investor, so I have to watch coins that I invested in, it does have an emotional strain this is one of the reason why I joined bounty so I can get coins that I want to buy instead, I'm lucky to be in a good coin as a signature bounty participants.

Yes, it also make sure you keep up to date with your current investment. You may lose the opportunities if you forgot to check on one day. Even though you check it regularly, make sure to see the progress not just check the price.

i do wacthing my coins in blockfolio everyday because i want to check the price if it is pump or dump. in my case , i will not put my emotion under pressure if the value of my coin goes down because i already put in my mind that.. it is digital so its not stable. i think 1 or 2 times a day is enough to check the price of your coins.

I look at it every day and at first I was making great trades. Then I made one bad move and lost quite a bit and had to start all over again. I've decided that I'm just going to get into, what I think are, stable coins and hold. I'm sick of day trading and I've noticed that if I just hold I'd probably make much more then trading all the time. HODL!

Every day I look at a special website, it brings pleasure to me. Basically, the price only grows on crypto coins.

I definitely look at the prices of my coins everyday and multiple times a day. It's your money involved and you need to be ready to react quickly when things change. I generally check first thing in the morning, a few times throughout the day, and then right before bed lol!!!

I check once a week, it makes no sense to watch every day, the price is constantly changing.

I only watch the most promising coins. You've got to be quick in the market of alt coins because the price can change dramatically in such a small amount of time.

I look every hour, sometimes more often, because I now have enough risky coins, I would like to sell them profitable. If in the presence of only ETH I sleep peacefully and do not particularly follow the course.

Most days, multiple times a day. Key is a good app to set notifications and easy quick views with a good selection of indicators. I happily use TabTrader which also has API connects to biggest exchanges so I can quickly trade on the go if big news / moves on a coin.

Not only Ethereum,you can also no need to worry with litecoin.If you are doing trading as a full time job,My advice for you to check every hour.Because in Crypto currency you have to monitor on hour base to get some profits.So it's your wish to check the price ,even you can check the price for every half an hour.

For me, I always check twice a day if my altcoins going pump or dump. Watching the chart is good because we see it if we hold or sell our altcoins.

I have learned not to react on every move, but that is just me.

I checked my coins everyday , sometimes I would be tempted to sell when I see the prize pump. The best thing is just to buy and forget it.

Its not bad since we can able to track out on the situation on our coin holdings but the fact that you are easily affected on such movements either pump or dump and making such rush decisions then this thing is entirely matter on your self control and discipline.If you do have a hard time on controlling your self then better not to check out always your coins price on daily basis. Better to delete those apps and forget those holdings if you do plan for long term hold because if you do always check it then you might end up on making early decisions. If you do plan long term then you should hold off no matter what happen.

I think watching the price everyday is good option but only for people which are very patient. Yes it will put pressure on your emotion but it can save your investment

I also like you. I see the price of coins I buy every day. About 10 times a day for different coins. I am the holder. but I can not stop watching the price of the coin .. I just watch and do not sell it. It was so and it made me a daily habit ::)

I recommend using Delta for pricechecking... MILES ahead on blockfolio. It also gives you notifications when something importants changes to your portfolio.

Currently, most of my investments in altcoin are held for a long time instead of daily trade. So I do not keep track of these altcoin regularly, I just watched as it was going to have big upcoming events, that helped me decide whether to keep on or sell during that time. I think hold in the moment is the smartest and least risky investment you can make.

Yes I do watch everyday. I have a varied portfolio and I need to know. I also take a look at the rest of the market to compare. Basically I do it with a portfolio tracking application and normally look for large drops or pumps.

It is not. I bought and then put up the price, after that, I go to once a week whether it has achieved the target or not. then too often open even later made a surprised.

i'm checked the altcoin price more than 5 times  ;D with mobile application (ztrader). market is unpredictable so set stop loss every trade, by the way i'm daily trader

It is difficult for new followers.
To succeed in the field of business must learn a lot, and need more time to accumulate experience.

When you are planning to buy not just one or two coins in an exchange, you need to follow it daily. The cryptocurrency fluctuation is so fast and if you are trading several altcoins you must watch it continuously. It is so exciting to see the price of the coins you are trading goes up or mooning.

I made a personal  portfolio on Excel and check like .. every minute =))
I'm just addicted to watching my money grow :)) Feel like refreshing Excel is my new full time job lol

No, it will only waste your time and create a focus. If I always set the initial price of either selling or purchase price, so everything already has the initial target in order to clear these benefits it brings.

Of course man, I always check and watch the price of some altcoins everyday especially on my investment on altcoins. Not only watch the price but also up date about the news and informations about the altcoins. So when something new happen, I can know first.

no im not,because im holding it for long term so theres no need to check it time to time,what im checking is the price of bitcoin itself so i may know whats the status for my investement to be updated.bitcoin price is always going up and down and no one knows what will happen tomorrow .so i better be aware of the situation.

Not planning to sell a couple of them, even if they triple overnight.  Holding for at least 1 year.

As for stop losses, I wouldn't recommend them.  I've had market makers walk the price down, take my shares,
and head back north again (in the stock market) and I'm sure it happens here in crypto-land as well.

Set mental stop-losses if you must, not physical ones.
Better yet, know what you are buying, if you have done your homework, a little tree shaking by the market makers
won't shake the coins out of your hands.

I do watch my Altcoin prices everyday especially Oyster Pearl PRL because I'm thrilled that this coin will give me financial freedom in the near future and also other coins' price are increasing so now I'm planning to quit my job and start Cryptocurrency full-time both short term and long term.

You have a point to, it's up to you if you want to see how's the coins' price going to avoid focus diversion but in my own opinion I just can't resist to visit the page where I can see my asset value since I'm doing signature bounty campaign postings so if you're an investor and didn't participate in any bounty campaigns then you can choose to do other stuff.

LOL, 2 minutes is too much. Mine is every hour or more since I have a full time job that prevents me to use phone.
Sometimes I just need some time to check my assets in my break time.

I check it like every hour.. I don't wanna miss every opportunity that comes to buy and sell my coins... I always sell when the price is high... and buy when the price goes down... I got Like 1-2 ETH per day doing just that...

I always watch my coins that I bought because if I do that I see if its good to sell or to buy more.  Pumping and dumping altcoin is fast so you need to be monitored so you can see what happening to the altcoin that you have.  Many people for sure also check the rice of altcoim that they have everyday.  In trading you need to be active everyday because if you don't have time in trading for sure you can't earn.  Count to think of it most of trader earn more profit those is the active trader they spend too much time in trading.

Yes, checking the price every day can make us go crazy because it often makes us take the wrong decision, and it also happened to me. I enjoy checking my coin everyday and also update from the telegram but I never panic cause I know holding is a little bit of risk cause we know that anything will happen. I choose to be calm and take the risk than being panic and made regret the loosing of opportunity

Watching it everyday will make your head go crazy that's why i just don't open my portfolio but somehow you get a good feeling when you see green even if it's just increasing in a small percentage. That's why i have to control myself when sometimes i saw a red everywhere, it pushes me to sell but thinking of how much investments i put on it, i'd rather hold it in the meantime because this is a normal event in every market.

I always watch my portfolio all day long. Because i have some coins for short term. So ı want to sell them when their prize is up and buy more when prizes are down. It's good to watch when all my coins going up but if they start to decrease i do not look that much for not to be panic or feel bad.

Mate, why are you looking for a short term in here? Trading, and holding for a long term shoot is always going to be much more profitable than just holding for some days or hours.

First, you are right it will make you emotionAlly unstable and different kinds of emotions could be felt but secondly you dont have any other options. If you wont watch you could lose your chance. You know prices change every minute and if you are not quick enough it could just pass you bye. Just stay cool, if you dont need that bad the money leave it for a better price.

I agree it can be quite unhealthy mentally to be checking constantly, I am guilty of this and am thinking about weening myself off the constant blockfolio swiping up and down, setting alarms could the best idea.

I would hold for atleast 3 months with an occasional checking (which is necessary) of once or twice a month for monitoring. It was my bad  habit when i just came to the cryptoworld and created my own portfolio with 10-15 coins, i downloaded blockfolio and looked up every hour there. Many times i made emotional sales or purchases because of it and this cost me money. So, now i just  use  strategy buy and hold. And i don't sell the coins till they grow up at least to 200 %. Same here buddy, it's so nice to see your altcoins especially when it's increasing. I always do this everyday so that I can monitor allbof my altcoins which if I'm contented on its value I will trade it and buy another altcoins have a good potential and have a great profit in the future. Even my altcoins doesn't so much huge amount of value, I can still have a prrofit because I'm contented for what I have. It looks like a win-win situation that I have but someday if my precious altcoins will boom for sure it have a huge profit. 8)

Watching our coins daily makes me feel excited. But sometimes if the red bloody goes on with my coins I stop watching it then leave it for 2 days and check again until the green appears.

No, I am open and see the price of altcoin that is on the market only if I remember only. Since I was the person who invests in the long term so calm and does not panic in a rush seeing price coins every day.

I watch the price of my coins when I wake up in the morning and before I sleep at night. I am a day trader so I should always be monitoring the price of my coins so that I can buy or sell depending on the market condition. I do not aim for large gains but I accumulate in small percentages because eventually it would become bigger. I think, for now, I watched the price in every day although I am not watching it every minute but maybe at least once for a few hours. usually, I only take three hours to stay at my monitor then I can determine what I will do but now, with the situations that cannot be predicted, it seems makes me watch too often. No, I didn't watch the price of altcoins everyday, its just sometimes because I trust in this. I know altcoin price can give us such a good profit, we can gain lot of money because of this, just trust this and believe in ourselves. If you are a serious trader you need to watch prices a couple of times an hour. Even though you don't have to trade every day you should know about your investment. If you only play with small money you don't have to check it very often.

It's a good thing to keep an eye on your investments and know when things begin bro go messy and also, it provides a baseline for making decisions in the future, speculations can also be based on the careful analysis of price movement.

I watch my portfolio about 5 times a day, but I usually dont do anything to it. Its just for planning for future ICOs and making sure the funds are in the right places at the right time for the right prices.

First of all, I never watch any crypto price except from news that I see in my social media when I am scrolling down. I do not think I need to look at it because I know what I have to do and what I just need to do. I do not need to monitor the price of crypto because what I do is a long-term investment. I want to collect Bitcoin and Ethereum and maybe Litecoin in the future, as much as possible. I want to collect and immigrate as long as possible so that their prices will drastically in the future. When it has gone up drastically, and the number of crypto I saved is very much, that's when I will see if the money I have been able to use to realize all my dreams or not. If my cash in the form of crypto is enough, I will sell.

Just wait until you got a bunch of ERC20 tokens on MEW.  Checking that everyday needs steel balls.  Things can go minus several (real job) months wages in a day and back.  But yes, I check them unless it's crash time.  Then I just check BTC and I know enough.  BTC crash = all alts down.

I hold my coins for long term, so I seldom check on the prices of altcoins. Before, when I tried day trading, I check on it like every hour, but I just can't keep up, and I only ended up losing some of my money. So in the end, I just have to Hold my coins and live my life.

I monitor the price mostly everyday in the blockfolio apps. Being a cryto lovers, it's a best way to know what's the latest updates and the news around the cryptocurrency. Also, to make a decisions once I see a pumps and dumps trending. It mixed emotions but it's part of the game. You need to control your emotions not to overflow with your mind to have a best decisions.

I watch at some coins that have rised a lot. So I'm trying to catch the pump.
It would be nice to have a program that shows a coin and a profit from the enter price. In this case, we can only see the rising alts and not be distracted by others alts.

Since I've invested in crypto a few months ago, I keep checking the prices hourly. Sometimes even at night I cannot sleep and check the prices.
But since I have decided to HODL for longterm, this has gotten better now. Looking at the prices, especially at the recent dip was really painful.

I only watch the price of all my altcoins in my portfolio once a day. Because when you watch your altcoins every now and then , and when the price drops you will just feel disappointed. It is better to wait for stable time in all altcoins price than watching it everytime. In a trading a trader must monitor its portfolio regularly to maintain their gain in their coins. Once a trader didn't monitor its altcoins in exchanges they may have loss a lot of money.

Its not enough only disappointed but the impact to is more than that if we can not control it.

We have to keep track of our tokens otherwise we don't know when the price is increasing and when the price is decreasing. Always it is suggestable to keep on checking about the prices of the market, when Bitcoin price is increasing all other altcoin prices will increase, it is another good sign for keep tracking.

i think its kind of sickness. and of course dangerous. because when you check it daily or even on every hour. that makes panic more about the money you have gained or you have lost. that leds panic selling or panic buying. and you would be vulnerable to the speculations and manipulations. really have to be careful about that. try to invest after a huge research and of course dont invest until you are nearly %100 sure (i think in crypto world everyone making an assumption but noone can know what will happen even 1 hour later. so its impossible to be %100 sure. there are always risks in everything that life presents to us. but we can lower it by calculating them). so in the end daily watch is ok with a huge will to not panic sell or panic buy.

You are doing the right thing. When the market falls there is no point in looking at the price of coins, because this is most likely causes stress. You should be completely sure that the coin you bought will grow and give you profit in a few months.

I like to glance at coinmarketcap daily. Its become a part of my routine now in the morning. Wake up, glass of water, coinmarketcap, coffee, work. I'm not sure this would be the best practice if new to crypto. I think if your are not well educated on the fundamentals its easy to get caught up in hype and hysteria. I think only a couple of months in the market is required for a newbie to understand this market fluctuates like nothing before.

We usually know ourselves better than others. If you don't think you have the willpower to avoid selling take your crypto off the exchange onto a harder wallet and stop checking the market daily because you will get tempted.

I have to say I am a bit matured now and I have stopped looking at the price every now and then but I do look at it at least once every day. It's not bad to have a look unless you get overly paranoid

I check it out everyday as well, sometimes a few times a day. Not just my portfolio but all of the stock market, sometimes I take quick notes about some tremendous activity but I usually don't cash out before my coins reach my target value.

Everyday, I watch the price of the coin that I have bought. But sometimes this could cause FUD or FOMO if the coin pump or dump tremendously. I sold my coins when I saw the price go up, but missed out the huger profit.
I think if you watch the price of your coin everyday, it will put pressure on your emotion.
Some people just buy it and don't think about it, which could be good or bad.

for now maybe yes because I am still a beginner so afraid if at any time the price of coins down so I'm ready to sell my assets before the result is declining.

i already experience that before when im doing short term investment, its really frustrating and stressful checking and monitoring every movement of the prices of coins we are investing in. that is why i started doing long term investment to coins i know will give me huge profit after one year or more.

This practice in obsessive and unhealthy. If you truly believe in the coin/token you posses you shouldn't check it every day all the time, because the market is really unstable and the price can go up and down for no particular reason. Give it some time and focus on the long term growth. Instead of wasting your time on coins/tokens you already posses try to research and find new interesting projects.
